Securing the Heart of A Bully
You ever met a nigga so cold that you had to watch his throat hoping to see a pulse? Wanted to feel his wrist and make sure you weren’t seeing things? That’s how Lucky felt the moment she laid eyes on Primal James. The infamous street legend who had survived it all and never told about it. From high security prisons to slitting throats in mayor’s offices. Of course, she didn’t know who he was when she ran across him in the elevator of her father’s hotel, but she was sure to find out. Primal, a man of few words but a name that spoke volumes and a reputation that preceded him was only worried about one thing. Keeping a positive cashflow and making sure he continued to fly under the radar was all he desired, I mean that was until he laid eyes on her. One glance told him she wasn’t being touched right, and eye contact warned him he should steer clear. Being a man that knows right from wrong, who always chose wrong fearing that right would be to mundane he went against his better judgment. In doing so it lands in a mess that he isn’t equip to clean. Sadly, when it comes to matters of the heart, no one is, but he’ll find a way through the muddy waters. He always does, or will this time be different? Who says love stories don’t come in the forms of tragedies?

Decent Read
This had the potential to be a five star read but there were quite a few grammatical error's that threw the story off. Yiz mother is scandalous and trifling. I see and understand why she keeps her distance. Sense truly doesn't have any damn sense. Both him and Primal don't care what come out of their mouth. The two of them are hilarious. Sense is also smitten with Yiz although she's given him a hard time. Lucky tried her best to fight her feelings for Primal and it was understandable after what her own sister had done to her in the past. Primal was trying to fight his feelings for her as well but something drew them to each other. Hanni married for business reasons that could potentially backfire on her. Whatever Primal, Sense, and Hanni is into. Someone else wants it and it seems Lucky life is in danger behind it.

Ugh! I hate to type this. I’m pretty sure this is my second read from this author. The first was a more recent release and it was 🔥. But this… this is mid for me.
There were some quite noticeable grammar issues. I love the three stories aspect. But the flow isn’t matching. For example in one couple’s storyline they may be in the getting to know each other phase. But because family members and close relationships are involved and intertwined. We’re learning different layers in conflicting times. It made the story off.
Like the childhood info on Primal and the cousins. Who at times refer to each other as “siblings” and other times not.
Also I hate the names of the characters. His name is actually Sense. Sis?! Really!
Things became so scattered I’m not sure I’m going to read book 2.

Part 1 of Lucky and Primal's story moved quickly. Primal sees Lucky covering at the front desk of her father's hotel and is immediately taken with her and he begins to "bully" his way into her bed and heart. The storyline was developed. The characters were somewhat interesting. I liked the drama provided by Lucky's family. It was not an unfamiliar twist, but it was nicely done.
I will admit that with the lack of proper transitions or character distinction when dialogue was in play, I had to go back and re-read several passages to ensure I knew which character was speaking. This was an okay read and I will read part two so that I can see how things wrap up.

Primal and Lucky relationship was a slow simmer and then whoop there it is. Their relationship was cute and Primal will say anything SMH.
Now Sense (this author be having some unique names) was hilarious and mouth reckless. Sense had no sense literally and don’t be playing games.
Yiz mother is a POS and hopefully the mother and Yiz dead beat daddy get what they deserve IJS.
Now Hanni hubby playing himself and he will also get what is coming to him. I need to know more about Klaim (another unusual name).

Great Read
This book was good from beginning to end and I couldn't put it down. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. I really liked the chemistry between Primal and Lucky, their love for each other is like no other. Sense, has no sense, but I like him and Yizari together. Her mother and TJ are scandalous snakes. Hanni, underestimated her husband, but let the games begin. Can't wait to see what happens next. Great job Kennedy B.

Well alright this book has it all and was done in a very enjoyable way. I loved the spirit of Ms Lucky, so was herself and that was that. Mr James wanted him some lucky and it was cute to see him be someone else. I hope she is okay and that they are okay in book2. I also hope that Sen and Y are okay as well as Hanni. This book had more too it than I thought butt i am hook on the story and will be reading book2.

Wow!
I really need Netflix to signed Kennedy B. to an exclusive contract. I would love to see her books as a mini-series. She is the TRUTH! So, I really love the character development here in this book. Lucky is my girl. I love that she’s confident, smart and independent. Primal knows that he’s crazy about himself some Lucky. I got a feeling that her daddy may be a little shady. We’ll see in book 2.

Definitely worth reading primal was the man and the love he had for Lucky was amazing very unconventional but rewarding! I enjoy there relationship. Sense is crazy and he surprised me falling in love with Yizari her mother was definitely a snake. Hanni underestimated her husband he isn't playing with her. Let the games begin hurry up part 2.

Nice very nice
This series is gonna be lit. Lucky is catching a little hell here but my boy P is gonna set it all straight. Who ever is coming for them is in for a rude awakening. Good Stuff!
This was one crazy,sexy,cool story and if you are not careful you are going to like all the main characters in story. I love that we have some nonsense men and they are definitely about their business. This was a good read,with enough to not only keep you stuck on how this story co as out but it is such entertainment.

Primal and Sense are quite the characters! They have no filter! I love it when men like that meets their match in a woman! I can’t believe Yiz’s mom is doing her daughter’s baby daddy and Lucky’s sister is married to her ex boyfriend! Hanni’s husband is gay and don’t want to give her a divorce!! A lot going on!! I’m on to next installment!

Frustrating!!!!
This is my first book by this author and will be my last. I had to force myself to finish it. Their was absolutely NO character development, editing issues and the story was all over the place. It seemed promising but didn’t really have a story line.

This is the best book series I’ve read all year. And idc that it’s January, it’s gon be hard with the bar set so high. I loved everything about this. I loved it so much I’m going to order a hard copy to have in my book collection. Way to go Kennedy B. I’m a fan now.
