Guests are having killer sales at the annual arts festival.

When one of the artists at the Oak Hill Arts Festival is found dead in his booth, he begins haunting photographs that might hold clues about his murder.

Unfortunately, the clues all seem to point to Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast. Is the artist trying to pin the blame on one of Emily’s guests, or does he want to communicate with the ghosts there? Sage can’t even sense the artist’s spirit, so it’s Emily who must find a way to communicate with it.

The one ghost who’s ready to talk is the one who knows the most about Emily’s late husband Scott. As Kelly’s ghost relays more details, Emily and her friends realize they are facing a powerful force that’s preventing Scott’s ghost from coming home…

Beth Dolgner writes paranormal fiction and non-fiction. Her interest in things that go bump in the night really took off on a trip to Savannah, Georgia, so it's fitting that the Betty Boo, Ghost Hunter Series of paranormal romance novels takes place in that spooky city. Beth's young adult novels, the steampunk Manifest and the urban fantasy A Talent for Death, also have paranormal elements. Her non-fiction work includes Georgia Spirits and Specters and Everyday Voodoo.

Since Georgia is obviously on her mind, you might think Beth lives there. Well, she did, but these days she and her husband live in Berlin, Germany, with their three cats. Beth misses those mild Georgia winters and proper iced tea, but there's no reason her characters can't enjoy those things.

Beth also enjoys giving presentations on Victorian death and mourning traditions as well as Victorian Spiritualism. She has been a volunteer at an historic cemetery, a ghost tour guide and a paranormal investigator. Right now she's chronicling the best spooky spots around Europe.

I'm addicted to this series

I absolutely love this series featuring Emily, Sage, Reed, Trevor and everyone else in this addictive series.
A haunted bed and breakfast is one thing, but helping to solve murders isn't something Emily is sure about, but with help and guidance from her friends, as well as a couple of funny ghosts, Emily is learning how to navigate her unusual life.

Picture Perfect is Book #3 in the 'Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast' series.

Emily Buchanan is the owner of the B & B, she took over from her grandparents, who bought the house in '74, renovated it, updated it, and began the houses' life as a B & B. The house is haunted! Emily is comfortable with that, she knows some of them well, like Mrs. Thompson, a former part-time employee, and Kelly the emotional teenager who was killed by Mr. Benjamin Williams, Trevor's father.

Trevor was Emily's assistant and he was a good one; unfortunately he only lasted a week, they found out his dad had murdered Kelly 17 years ago, her body unearthed during a terrible storm. Then there was Trip Ellis, who was her assistant for a few days, also a good worker, but he turned out to BE a murderer; so now Emily needs a new assistant to help out for one of the busiest weeks in town, the Oak Hill Art Festival. She decided to use a temp agency, hoping that she would have better results. That morning Emily met Gretchen Robson, in between checking in the guests. She was a wife and mother of a son in pre-school, had been living in Oak Hill for two years, her husband's home town. She wasn't a fan of the cemetery being so close to the house, but she was a lover of true crime mysteries. She didn't mind so much about the ghosts, as long as she wasn't on the receiving end of their full attention.

Each year Emily houses some of the artists in her home, as well as volunteering her time at the Festival. After giving her house a thorough cleansing with her best friend Sage, using the herb sage, she hoped to clear out all the bad vibes. This year her psychic and medium best friend Sage Clark also registered a booth at the festival for her readings!

For the week Emily had Kat Mason, a frequent guest, displaying art installations in the historic Hilltop Cemetery. The cemetery was located just off of her home on twenty acres of land with granite mausoleums, ornate statues, concentric ring paths, and large carved headstones. The artist couple, Jake and Selena Frey, also frequent guests and friends of Kat, were next to arrive and they were the painters of the group. Following the Freys' check-in was Marianne Callahan, sculptor, who spoke quickly, in a loud deep voice. Marianne may have had a tiny body, but she had a booming voice with personality to boot! And last, but not least, was Gregory Van Breda, another sculptor, who was so opposite of Marianne; he was very tall towering over Emily with wide shoulders that filled the doorway, with a very quiet voice that made you lean in to hear him. The last two guests had never stayed at Eternal Rest before and Emily hoped that they would be great guests!

The town was a buzz with excitement regarding the Festival, and Emily couldn't wait to see all the new art work to be exhibited. One of the first things she saw at the festival was a painting of her house by Robert Gaines, someone who stayed at the B & B last year, but his painting made her home look like something out of a horror story! He had taken pictures of places all over the town and turned them into pictures of humiliation! Within a couple of days Robert Gaines was dead! Suddenly his ghost was showing up in pictures everywhere! He was pointing in the pictures taken of him, at his own artwork - The picture of Eternal Rest B & B!!!

What is this ghost trying to say? Why is he trying to get Emily's attention? And while all this is going on why can't her friend the medium sense this ghost? And what about Emily's deceased husband Scott? Why can't he contact Emily? Emily has budding and growing paranormal skills, and Sage is helping her increase them so she can help her husband Scott. She sees, hears, talks to, dreams in connection to ghosts; can Emily help this ghost reveal his killer?

Read Book #3 Picture Perfect, a part of the Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast Series to find out who killed Robert Gaines, if Emily gets to talk to Scott and what danger his ghost may be facing!

A cozy paranormal mystery for 13+, with no racy scenes and no foul language! Looking forward to Book #4!

After all the excitement of the previous months, Emily Buchannan, owner of Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast, is looking forward to the Oakhill Art Festival. She has a temp coming into man at the front desk, which means she is free to do her regular volunteer work at the Festival. It is her chance to be out of the house and relax between the beautiful artworks. She has guests staying with her, all of the artists. For the first time in weeks, it seems that there will be no scandal around Eternal Rest. That is until an artist is killed at the Festival. At first, it looks like a heart attack, but suspicions develop around his death as evidence comes in. Sage has instructed Emily to practice her budding talent as a medium with her ghosts at Eternal Rest. The plot seems straightforward until a twist takes it in an unexpected direction. Emily and her friends have to try and piece evidence left by a ghost to catch a killer in their midst.

Picture Perfect is the third book in the Eternal Bed and Breakfast Cozy Mystery Series written by Beth Dolgner. The audiobook is once again narrated by Patricia Shade and is 5 hours and 39 minutes long. Patricia Shade once again succeeds in delivering an excellent performance that holds the listener’s attention and conveys the mysterious atmosphere surrounding the events that unfold in the town of Oakhill. Her voice consistency is so accurate that you can recognise the various characters. So many loved characters make an appearance, and the feeling of the Festival can be felt through the vivid description. This is definitely one of my favourite paranormal cozy series at the moment, and I simply love the audiobook version. It is a good clean read for anyone not acquainted with this series with no sexual content or profanity.

I loved this book but that is not surprising as I have loved all the books in this series so far. I really liked the different way Emily had to find in order to be able to talk to the new ghost in this book. How the author keeps coming up with new and inventive ways to keep each book fresh I don't know but I really hope it continues. The mystery was interesting but I think I got more caught up with how to talk to the ghost than trying to solve the murder, so it came as a bit of a surprise. I like the characters, especially the way Emily has developed and is learning to trust her judgement or her skills as a medium. Her sidekicks are a lot of fun too, from the living ones such as the medium Sage and the ex assistant Trevor to the murdered ghost Kelly or the dead housekeeper, all make the story a charming little mystery and a fun series. Off to start the next book.
When the local arts festival is held in town Emily knows she is going to be kept busy not only helping at the festival but also hosting the artists in her B&B. The festival is causing quite a stir, when one of the artist unveils his latest work, it's his spin on people and places around town and not in a good way. Emily is shocked how scary he portrays he b&b but she is even more shocked when she learns of his death. Then reports start coming in about a ghost appearing in photos of the festival. Is the dead man trying to tell her something? Like he was murdered and he knows who the killer is. And if he is can Emily and her friends work out how to communicate with him to stop a killer getting away with murder?
I am really glad the author has chosen this narrator because she puts in an entertaining performance.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

n artist who seems to revel in making people uncomfortable with his art (and who's kind of a jerk, if we're being honest), ends of dead at the local art festival and let's just say it's not a natural death. Yup, the guy was offed in a very un-fun way and Emily is in the middle of things again.

Why? Well, he not only used her beloved Victorian as the subject of an unnerving piece of art, but he also seems to be indicating that Emily might be somehow involved. Which is ridiculous because Emily decidedly didn't do it. On the other hand, she has several artists staying at her B&B who could very well have done the deed.

So Emily starts investigating. Her growing ability to sense ghosts gives her a bit of a leg up, but she's still learning how to tap into her intuition (among other things) and there are plenty of suspects. Emily being Emily, she starts looking at the clues and figuring things out. (It helps that the lead detective is a believer in all things supernatural, so she doesn't have to hide that side of herself or make odd explanations about how she found certain bits of information out.)

As always, the crime is a good one and the investigation (and ghostly goings on) is fun! *thumbs up*

So this time around Emily is hosting for a bunch of artist for this artist festival that happens yearly and most of the guests are the same with a few changes. Their is a married couple. 2 females and a male I believe. I liked the male Greg I believe he’s a sculptor and just this big guy doesn’t say much and not a big social person. Again Emily can’t keep a assistant and now has a temporary assistant to help out for the festival as Emily is also volunteering for the festival. While there trevor her old assistant is also a volunteer. Sage has a booth and her wife is helping to run the festival. while there an old guest Robert has some new artworks and one depicts Eternal Rest as a scary place and Emily does not like it. Well during the festival Robert turns up dead and Emily learns it through the grapevine. So what must she do but solve it. I love Trevor showing up more and I love that Emily’s psychic is evolving. This was an enjoyable story. I honestly could not figure out the killer at first.

First off I love the title of the inn: Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast. I also really like both main characters, Emily and Sage. In this volume there's a major artist fair going on in the town with loads of exhibitors.

There's an artist who modifies photographs which wouldn't be so bad except he had taken one of the inn and it looks really scary. Emily is upset.

As can be expected the artist dies. Was it natural causes or did somebody kill him? What is it with photos falling from the walls of the inn. It doesn't help that his large photo of the inn looking so bad is brought in.

It's up to Emily, Sage and others to figure out of this is due to the spirit of the dead artist and it's going to take a lot of work to figure out how to communicate with it much less figuring out what it is trying to tell them.

I really like the entire story, the characters and the way people are working together to solve the mystery.

Picture Perfect

This series is entertaining, and good clean reading. The author is talented with dialogue, characterization, and scene setting. This would make a good television show.
I am not the best at figuring out "who done it", but I do manage it now and then. I haven't figured out any of the murderers in the first three stories, but I have enjoyed trying.
Emily's emerging medium skills are a cool twist I didn't see coming, and I am interested to see where the author takes her. Maybe she will eventually be the one to help her deceased husband.
The mystery of who or what is keeping Scott from getting to Emily is a fascinating puzzle!
The series should be read in order, but there are no cliff hangers, explicit violence, or even curse words. That makes it fine for teens interested in paranormal mystery.
I hope you enjoy these stories as much as I have!

I really love this series!

Picture Perfect is the third book in the ‘Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast’ series. In this book, we continue on the adventures of Emily and her haunted B&B.

During an annual arts festival, in which some of the artists are staying at Emily’s haunted B&B, one of them gets murdered and begins haunting photos. It is up to Emily and her friends to try it communicate with the ghost of the murdered artist and help solve his murder.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved Emily, and loved seeing her get more and more confident in this book. I also enjoyed seeing her develop her psychic abilities even more. As always, the supporting characters were great. I cannot wait until March, when the next book in the series is released!

Fantastic audio book a cozy mystery
Wow so far I have loved every single Beth Dolgner story. This is a stoy that will have you glued till the end. There is murder but not at the B/B but at the art festival taking part in the small town . The heroine Emily is still trying to find a way to help her dead husband cross over . Emily is starting to get strong and developing her Clair sense ability.
The murder happened right in the middle of the fair , right in the middle of the artist’s booth. , he died of a heart attack supposedly. But was it since he was healthy.
Emily and her friends want to see what really happened expecially when the artist ghost keeps on showing up At the painting he did. Does the ghost have a message for Emily

Once again, Dolgner has out done herself with another instalment of the Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast series. I found Emily’s developing psychic abilities to be fascinating and intriguing. The returning characters of Reed, Sage and Trevor make this book all the more charming. I am interested to hopefully hear if Kat and Reed end up together because they are both such sweet characters. I am somewhat relieved that the killer of the book had nothing to do with Emily’s assistant this time because I was worrying for the sake of her business. This series is utterly entertaining and you truly feel a connection to each of the characters, proved by the fact I was worrying about a fictional business’ reputation. Another amazing work by Dolgner.

A Picture Tells A Story Of Murder?

Emily is Back with Sage and all her friends in Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast and this time there is an artists festival in town. Everyone is looking forward to fun at the festival until one of the artists ends up lying dead on his festival tent floor. Since Emily knew the artist and he had stayed in her Bed and Breakfast the year before, you know that she’s going to get involved in trying to find the killer. So join Emily and Sage as they have seances and do everything to find the murdered artists ghost to help them to solve the mystery, I recommend you pick up this book along with the whole series to help solve the crimes committed, you’ll be so glad you did.

Thank you so much Beth Dolgner for this audio copy.

I absolutely love the Eternal Rest Bed and Breakfast series. Each one different from the last, yet still keeping the cosy mystery with its paranormal elements.

I loved how this story didn't exactly feature a murder at the guest house or wasn't one of the customers that was killed off but managed to interlink it all the same.
I found this story unique and interesting. I just love the narrator as I've said before she brings the story to life.
I'm loving all the characters and the cozyness that Beth Dolgner has created in her fictional town.
I can't wait to start listening to book 4

Book three kept my interest as I turned each page!

I love the regular characters in this series. I also enjoyed all the artists we met who are in town for an are festival. The author did such a great job describing some of the art that I feel like I walked through the festival and examined everything. I especially loved Kat’s work. I felt like I was walking with Emily as she found Kat’s work.

I don’t mind telling you that I’m uncomfortable with the addition of tarot cards to this story. Fortunately, they didn’t play a big role in plot.

Emily’s character continues to develop. I recommend you read the story to see what she is up to.

I am loving this series. when a unpopular exhibitor at the local arts festival dies and her guests come under suspicion, Emily, Sage and the ghosts investigate. These story are so much fun to read, superbly written cozy mysteries with great characters, entertaining storylines, a good mix of suspects and lots of helpful ghosts. The narration is perfect with a great range of voices and really raises the book to a higher level. Highly recommended and I am eagerly looking forward to the next one. I received a complimentary copy from the author and am leaving a honest voluntary review

I'm starting to wonder if Emily is related to Jessica Fletcher. She seems to have an uncanny ability to attract murderers. All she wants to do is run her cozy B&B along with a few friendly ghosts. In this story, the town hosts an art festival and one of the artists drops dead. Emily is reluctantly dragged into the middle of the investigation when the dead artist's ghost will only communicate with her. I enjoyed the mystery and it's resolution. The cast of supporting characters were very likable.

Another murder during the arts festival that points right at Eternal Rest & Breakfast literally!!
Emily cannot catch a break. Once again the narrator, Patricia Shade has captured my attention with her storytelling.
I loved how the title of the story and cover was played out in the book. The author does a wonderful job of giving us several unique stories that are refreshing to the listener.
I recommend this series to fans of paranormal mystery. It’s a good weekend or day listen to get lost in Emily’s world.

I enjoyed Beth Dolgner's third book in the "Eternal Rest Bed And Breakfast Paranormal Cozy Mysteries" series. I was entertained by the characters and their complexities. The mystery was convoluted and the author weaved many interesting threads throughout the story. I recommend this book to others who enjoy cozy mysteries with a paranormal twist. Patricia Shade's narration was pleasing and kept my attention. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Art festival murder

Art is subjective. And when an artist dies, even if the art is terrible, then that art becomes so wanted and in demand. Emily and Sage see that first hand. The fun part is when they have to figure out how to get this awful artists ghost to help find his killer. Good thing Emily’s abilities are getting stronger. The ghost wants to talk to her! Wait til you read about the crazy way he has to communicate!

She does it again!

One more time, Emily manages to catch the killer! Her ability to communicate with the dead is developing quite nicely. Beth has rapidly become one of my very favorite authors. Her way of adding nuances to the story that develop with each book is such a joy. I really enjoy the way she's building a few threads throughout the series. You'll never regret reading any of her books!

Quick, easy read with plenty of paranormal ghost activities. Emily has a good group of friends to help her as she (again) works to solve a murder mystery impacting an artist at the town festival. Her psychic skills/abilities are also starting to grow more as she trusts her instincts. As usual, Dolgner does a good job with hints but still a twisty solution to the mystery. I enjoy Dolgner's writing style and also really like her Nightmare Arizona series.

THE ART SHOW SCULDUGGERY
Book 3 is another mystery success story. Again the book outsmarted me with the clever killer that kept the method secret. I recommend Beth's well written clean series for all ages over 15 and you are sure to enjoy this easy listening narration. Looking forward to more ghostly intervention in the search for the missing ghost husband.

Artistic murder

Art is in the eye of the beholder. Robert used photos as expressing his artistic flair. Him being the one trying to destroy the reputation of the town. He developed many suspects in his murder. Was it a towns person? Business owner? Artist? Read this festive book to find out.

It's Oak Hills Arts Festival and all hands are needed to make it a success. All is mostly going well until artist Robert Gaines is murdered, and the clues point back to Emily's Bed and Breakfast. Emily's husband Scott is also trying to communicate and get back home, but something very strong is stopping him. Emily must call on her newfound skills to solve the murder and talk to the ghosts.
