This used to be a hobby of mine. But my patterns were less.... sedate, brighter, wider and often had fringes up 6" long where the fringe also had a pattern woven in (I liked to see the pattern wave in and our of form as it moved) and might itself be shaped, not just all one length. I think it kept me sane during my first marriage which had become platonic. We were the best of friends but no longer lovers and something had to wile away the evening hours. You can't go out partying every night!
