This is why I wanted to try and resist the hot maid of honor at my best friend’s wedding…
That one hook-up led to one huge decision. And then a complication that neither of us were prepared for. Look, I’m a single dad and raising an 11-year-old is not easy. Lizzie came into my life at a time when I needed her. When my daughter needed her. Yes, it was tough to keep my hands off her gorgeous curves. And it was even harder to ask her to be my fake wife. But it’s what I had to do. Besides, the way Lizzie squirms under me has me going crazy. I’m aware that I’ve created one hell of a mess. But a part of me feels that this mess is worth the trouble. Especially if it leads to my fake wife turning into a real one…
Dominant bosses, sassy bbw’s, loads of office drama and angst! Each book in the series can be read on it’s own, promises oodles of kindle melting heat and of course, a very passionate happily ever after. His Desires is Lizzie and Troy’s story. Books do not have to be read in order.
Ajme Williams - mother, wife, daughter, dreamer, an avid reader and a writer. When she's not writing romance, Ajme can be seen sipping coffee, gorging on dark chocolate, exercising, or travelling with family and friends. Cooking is therapeutic for her and she drools over Italian food...and men. What to expect from her books? Ajme loves variety, so expect a lot of second chances, secret babies, office romances, big fat fake weddings, curvy heroines and alpha heroes. HEA? Always, baby! If you're a fan of emotional angsty contemporary romance, then you'll enjoy Ajme Williams.
I hate writing bad reviews, I usually skip doing them. But this author has several books in this series, with more on the way, and something needs to be said about the absolute lack of editing.
Spelling, grammar, punctuation, writing style are all missing in this book. Calling characters by another characters name doesn't only happen once. The structure of writing is missing. Punctuation is important, and proper punctuation, more so.
This is a very simplistic plot. Don't let the word dominant in the title fool you into thinking it's something more. It's not.
Kudos to the author for writing a book, but I won't be reading any others by her. Things like plot, punctuation, grammer, and keeping your characters straight matter.
Good story. Both one and two were well written and I should have given them better ratings but the editing sucked. Destroyed the mood regularly and got worse the closer the ending came. I really want to read the next book but am so put off with the lack of simple editing I am not sure if I want to waste the time.
Should have been 5 stars but... Loved the story but the number of flaws can't be ignored, from wrong words etc it got worse, one entire chapter the daughter's name changed to that of his fake wife. Ugh! This is not the first book that needed a simple proof read/edit but it will be the last I will read as the author saw fit to ignore my email offering assistance. I see a previous reviewer has also commented along the same lines. Such a pity & yes, I'm fussy, but it really ruins my reading pleasure when it's as bad as this. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
This was a good read. Lizzie and Troy hook up at their friend's wedding. Lizzie moves out there and ends up helping Troy with his daughter. He isn't one for relationships due to his past. Thankfully he changes his mind so he and Lizzie can have their happy ending.
115 errors. And not all we’re grammatically in nature. Several passages that made no sense. Pre-needle was my favorite mistake in the entire book.
This author forgets her own characters names or where they live. If you’ve read the previous book you’ll notice that within the first two paragraphs. Alan was the characters name in the previous book. He’s now Allen. And Jess now lives in Los Angeles and Nina in San Diego. But then it changes two or three pages after that. She forgets which characters are in which scene twice.
Honestly, at this point I’m reading the books to see how many errors I can find. Because the stories aren’t as interesting as the blurbs make them out to and her writing needs work (that’s me trying to be nice).
Love can pass you by if you don't open your heart.
Lizzie is visiting California from Missouri where she is the maid of honor for her bestfriend Nina's wedding. That's where she meets the best man Troy and they end of spending the night dancing, drinking which turned to a night of passion. Something that she would never have done before but she was caught up in the moment. Three months later she's back in California this time to live. She is staying at her friends Nina and Ryker's pool house to help them get ready for their baby while she looks for a permanent place to live. Troy has been hurt in the past by a lot of people so he pledges to never have a relationship or sleep with a woman more than once. Yet he can't seem to stop thinking about the girl he hooked up with at his best friends wedding named Lizzie. Then three months later he is shocked to find out she is standing in his best friends Ryker's house and has moved to California. There is definitely chemistry between them but he never sees a woman more than once so he acts coolly and aloof towards her. He actually makes her feel bad with things he says to her as time goes on. Then he gets a shock his ex-girlfriend from high school who he hasn't seen in twelve years shows up without notice with an eleven year old girl named Bridget (Jet) that she says is his daughter. Then she turns around leaving her there and drives away. Now he has an angry preteen and Lizzy standing there wide eyed and shocked with what just happened. Now he's asking desperately for her Lizzie help. Of course she agrees to help that night. Only to be called back when another crisis came. Then the ultimate favor came he asked her to be his fake wife. He continued to give mixed messages she wasn't sure how much more her heart could take till it shattered? Will he realize he needs to change his ways or will he lose what was right in his grasp? I loved the angst, drama, push, pull and the sense of family between Lizzie,Troy and Jet.
I received an ARC from Booksprout for my honest review.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. Lizzie is the maid of honor to her best friend Nina’s wedding, and it is here she meets Troy they spend one passion filled night together which is something she has never done but since it was good, she forgave herself and headed back home. Fast forward Lizzie’s job relocated her to Cali and staying in her friend’s pool house to help them out while preparing for the arrival of their baby. Troy’s is the sexy as all get out guy who spent the most amazing night with a beautiful woman but he has been hurt and heartbroken a few times so he has decided to just be a great dad occasionally sleeping with a women only once. But Lizzie isn’t to far from his mind ..what am I saying he thinks about her often shocked that she is there in Cali in his best friends home the chemistry is intense and the magnetic pull is demanding their attention and fate has placed them in a position where they can’t ignore it. But what is a relationship with headache Troy’s ex shows up with a preteen informing she is his daughter and drives off leaving him with no other explanation so now he has a very angry little girl asking Lizzie for help she agrees. But with all the mixed message can these two move forward, will this preteen accept him as her dad, is there happiness somewhere for them?

In this book we get Lizzie Lane and Troy Manians's Story. When this book opens we find that Lizzie and Troy are the best man and maid of honor at Ryker and Nina's wedding (we met them in His Rules). Troy has a rule that he holds to for all women he meets since his high school sweetheart broke his heart. His rule one and done, and he never breaks it. That is until he finds out the one woman he hasn't been able to get out of his mind is now moved back to California from Missouri. He thought for sure she was a one night thing after the wedding reception. Now she back though and he doesn't know what to do. When he finds out not only did his high school sweetheart break his heart she took something with her and now 11 years later he learns he has a daughter. To get her into the best school he needs a fake wife and he knows just the woman to help. Lizzie has never had a one night stand, and her plans never included moving to California. Plans changed though and she decides she can get a job there and be closer to her best friends so she makes the leap. Not that she wasn't also hoping for more with Troy. From the moment they see one another again though she knows that's not happening. When he asks her to be his fake wife she isn't sure spending more time with a man who doesn't really want a relationship with her is a good thing but what can she do but follower her heart. Can these two find a HEA or will the past hurts be more than can overcome?
Amazing story. These characters just make you want to both root for them and slap them at times. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
HIS DESIRES was steamy and hot and drew me in. The storyline was unexpected and kept my interest from the first page to the last. Troy and Lizzie had nothing in common and only got together at their best friends' wedding three months before. But their mutual attraction was over the top. They never expected to see each other again since she went home to resume her life in the Midwest and he lived in California. Little did they know what the future would hold!
The story picks up with Troy's business interests and the problems he and his partner are having due to someone's interference with their project. The story has a nice flow and good pace. The addition of almost teen, Bridget or Jet as she likes to be called, was unexpected but added another layer to the story. Troy's ex from high school, who never looked back in almost twelve years, was not a likable person. I liked being reunited with characters we've met before and seeing how their lives have progressed. The story is told in alternating chapters by Lizzie or Troy. The prologue set the stage and the epilogue tied up loose ends and gave me the closure and happily ever after I look for. I'm happy to know there are more books in this series and we'll be meeting up with the characters again.
Ms. Williams is an author whose books I enjoy even if she does take me out of my comfort zone. Her stories have become more developed the more books of hers that I read. I can't wait to return to sunny California and see what transpires next.

This second book is Lizzie and Troy's story. I loved this book, it was hot, steamy and romantic.
Troy and Lizzie met at their best friend's Ryker and Nina's wedding, they hooked up for a night of passion both knowing that Lizzie was returning to Missouri and they wouldn't meet again.
three months later Lizzie has moved into Nina's guest house to help her when she has the baby and when its born, her new job is online so she can work from anywhere.
Troy is living by his rules, no commitment and no second dates, till he sees lizzie again, he is determined to keep her at arms length but still cant resist her.
Then one day out of the blue his ex high school girlfriend turns up and drops off his 11 year old daughter that he knew nothing about, in a panic he called lizzie for her help.
when he tries to get Bridget into a catholic school they want two parents to be present so he asks Lizzie to be his fake wife, as they settle into a routine he realises he feels more for her but sticks by his rules not to commit.
Like the first book I loved this one and cant wait for the next.
No commitments No relationships One Night Stands This is Troy Manion rules. Self made man, construction empire, deserted by parents in high school, deserted by girlfriend Tiana after graduation, best man at Ryker and Nina's wedding, hooking up with maid of honor Lizzie who lived in Missouri. Last of the three friends, Lizzie takes the leap and moves to California to help Nina with pregnancy and then baby. Troy is thrown in a tail spin. Sparks are still there, but don't forget his rules. Throw in a intruding, problem making, unwanted business partner, Tiana showing up after 12 yrs, dumping his 11 yr old daughter, Bridget on him, a school requiring 2 parents and having to ask Lizzie for help. He's floundering in fatherhood. This is a well written, intense book with lots of emotions, finding love through your child, and how to maybe handle your past.

Book 2 of the Dominant Bosses series brings us Lizzie and Troy’s story. They meet at Nina and Ryker’s wedding where she is maid of honor and he is the best man. The attraction between Lizzie and Troy was instant and it was supposed to be a one night only thing because A Troy is not a man who commits to relationships and B Lizzie will be leaving to return to her hometown in Missouri. What will happen when Lizzie decides to move to California? They will be around each other because of their friends Ryker and Nina. Will Troy ever commit or will he break Lizzie’s heart? Ajme has brought us another great story with a storyline that held my attention from start to finish. Well written and all the characters are likeable. This is a stand alone but it is best to read His Rules first. I am ready for the next story in this series and I am sure Ajme won’t disappoint us

An unexpected arrival Lizzie and Troy meet at her best friend’s wedding. They spend the night together never expecting to see the other again. She forgives herself for the “slip" and vows never again and heads back home. As luck would have it, she is transferred to California where she stays in her friends’ pool house. This gives her not only a place to stay, but more importantly puts her close so she can help them in preparing for their baby. When an ex drops off a preteen with Troy saying she’s his he’s faced not only with an angry preteen but more importantly a complete lack of knowledge about what to do. Although the situation is funny in the sense of payback, the situation demands that he find help so that he can give Bridget the emotional support and life she deserves. Will his relationships with Lizzie and Bridget result in mutual happiness? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
His Desires. I enjoyed this book! It surprised me. I wasn't expecting such a great storyline. I was caught up in the story. Troy had a one-night stand with Lizzie thinking they would never see each other again. But they were wrong. Lizzie decided to move out to California where her best friends lived. Nina was married to Ryker, who was Troy's best friend and business partners. Troy got the shock of his life when he discovers he is a father. Fatherhood didn't come easy for him and he needed some assistance from Lizzie to make sure Bridget got into the best school possible. This started a feeling in both of them that couldn't be stopped. But Troy had rules that made him a professional bachelor. This is a must read series! I really was looking forward to this story. I really like to follow through with series and see what happens to all the characters. Saying that though, I had noticed things in past books by this author, where timelines and people and facts didn't match up to previously given information, but I couldn't even make it through the first 3 chapters of this book without reading so many conflicting facts, either from previous books or in the current book. I think the writing in general is good, but I just don't understand how some of these obvious facts could have been missed and it made it very hard for me to finish. While I did finish and I was glad to see Lizzies happy ending, it took a bunch of start and stops and skipping over repetitive scenes from past books to finish it. I hope that these issues get fixed with the next books in the series because I am invested in the characters and am really looking forward to reading their HEAs.
Troy has a rule, one time and one time only. He thinks indulging in some hot times with Lizzie will be safe since she is going back to Missouri. He is shocked months later when she comes back to California. He immediately puts the brakes to any thoughts she may have regarding having a relationship with him. She is upset and her feelings are hurt but gets the hint. They are thrown together a lot because of their mutual friends. He is drawn to her but will not have a relationship with anyone. When he is hit with a surprise daughter, he leans on Lizzie. Lizzie agrees to help him out but knows this is a road to a broken heart. Lizzie is a wonderful character and you need to read this book to see if she gets her HEA.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. The second book in the Dominant Bosses series is about Troy and Lizzie. These two have a one night stand at the wedding of their friends. He had closed his heart off but can not get her off his mind. A few months later they meet again when she moves to California. He makes it awkward to say the least. Lizzie is still there for him over and over even when he treats her poorly. Troy has to get past the emotional baggage he still drags around. Lizzie has to decide if her trampled heart can trust the change in his in the end. I thought that their story has plenty of heat, heartbreak, twist and turns. It was great to see her get the happiness she deserved and that he decided he could feel love again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful family love story between Troy, Lizzie and 11 year old Bridget. This book took some turns I was not expecting but were exciting to read. Reading Troy’s journey into love and fatherhood was very fulfilling. He really surprised me as he jumped into his role as Dad because on his “no commitment” rules. Cheering for him as he found his footing in that parent role was very enjoyable for me. My only gripe about this book, which has been a problem in other book by the author, is the typographical errors which really detract from the story…especially when the character names are incorrect, which is why it’s only four stars . Ajme, you really need better editors and beta readers. But overall, the literary journey is worth the read
I love you neither 4.5 The story is about attraction and rejection : Lizzie and Troy are very attracted, but Troy is completely opposed to commitment. The story is all twists and turns on their intense relationship, Lizzie's attempts to build a life in which he isn't when he doesn't know what he wants, when he finds out that his ex has been hiding from him an important information for his life and that continues the attempts to seize power of an enemy encountered in the previous book, to dominate the company of Troy and his partner Ryker. It's a good romance, very hot, and touching at times. Due to their conflicted relationship, I look forward to the next book in the series, The Story of Claude and Felicia. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Troy has one rule regarding women and that is one time and no relationships. Ever since he met Lizzie he is breaking his own rule over and over again. But things are not smooth and easy between the two. He is unable to communicate with her. Add an eleven year old daughter he did not know he had to the mix. I really enjoyed this book. I liked the way the story flowed from His Rules into His Desires with Nina and Ryker;s wedding in the beginning. This book and His Rules can be read in any order as they are both standalone but it is fun to read them in the order the author intended us to read them. Ajme Williams is doing a great job with this series.

Lizzie is a sweet woman who is longing to start anew but can not get Troy out of her head. Troy is attracted to Lizzie and a wild night of passion is not something easily forgotten. Lizzie is not sure she will ever find the one while Troy believes love is not for him due to his painful past. Life has other plans and brings Troy and Lizzie back into each other's life and there is no denying the attraction they feel for each other.
What a great story where you can see them question and learn while they explore their feelings. Two wonderful characters who grow throughout the story and have great supporting characters make this such a good book.

Art teacher Lizzie has decided to follow her best friends to California from Missouri. She wants a new start and maybe she can find love like her friends. She may even have a chance with the hunk she had a one-night stand with at her bestie’s wedding. But life can throw a wrench into your life, from newborns to eleven-year-olds.
Troy has been abandoned by all of the most important people in his life, from his parents to the woman he thought he would spend the rest of his life with. So, when he has a night of fun with the maid of honor at one of his few close friend’s weddings, he thinks he’ll never see her again after she goes home. But he can’t get her out of his mind. And then she moves into his friend’s guest house. Can he escape love?
I really enjoyed reading His Desires by Ajme Williams because it was a slow burn of a romance between Troy and Lizzie. They had a one night stand at their friends wedding that was off the charts. But Lizzie lived out of state and Troy owned his own construction company. They meet up again and the passion is there, but Troy doesn't do relationships at all. What will happen when an unexpected situation arises that will change both of their lives? Fantastic story that had some drama but also some very steamy parts to it. I would highly recommend reading this story.

Their Guardian Angel - Lizzie and Troy’s tryst at the wedding was meant to be a one night stand, but fate had other ideas and brought them back into each other’s lives for a major reason. Troy’s simple life turned upside down after receiving life changing news, but luckily Lizzie stepped up to help Troy. I really loved the storyline, as well as the connection between all the characters. I enjoyed Troy and Lizzie’s romance journey to get to their happy ending, but more importantly, the heartfelt moments between Troy and Bridget as built their relationship.

I loved this book, it was great from start to finish. The storyline was so good, and was well written. I loved the characters and I would I gather all the couple interlock in each book of this series. I loved the main characters in this book, Troy and Lizzie were just perfect for each other. I also enjoyed that it was the male character that was insecure, for a change. It gave great back ground into why, thou kept you guessing for a bit. I loved Bridget, she was just a sweet heart. Great work, highly recommend

Even though this is a series readers can easily enjoy this book as a stand-alone. There is character crossover but the story is not dependant on them.
Lizzie is such an amazing character to get to know. My only issue with her is how easily she is manipulated, she doesn't listen to her inner voice. I can understand the attraction that leads her but she gives up so much of herself and gets nothing in return.
It takes Troy FOREVER to admit what he's feeling. His communication skills are lacking in almost every way. It didn't stop me from loving him though. He dominates every scene he's in and I could easily see why Lizzie couldn't say no.
