GREAT READ

Very well written and I loved the character development. This book was a very intense page turner that will keep you wanting to know what will happen next. There was no shortage of drama and endless amounts of secrets that were constantly being revealed. I love how the author tells the story of what turned Renee so cold and why she's become enemy number 1. When reading this book you will have a love or hate for some characters but that's what makes this book worth reading. Would love for there to be a part 2 or spinoff on Carmen.

Nice story

I've read quite a few novels about queen-pins. This was my first time reading this author. I would read her again. I would love for the story to continue with Carmen.

This story definitely kept me on the edge of my seat with anticipation. Renee was one of the most mysterious characters I've read about in a while. We heard many times throughout the book that Renee was the most feared in New York but we never really did see why. I know bosses don't get their hands dirty (that's what the henchmen are for) but at some point I expected her to take matters into her own hands and it fell short in that aspect for me. I think the way each of the characters were introduced was great but they lacked some important backstory that I think was pivotal for this read. Overall, Renee had a story to tell. She had some of everybody after her and most of it didn't even have to do with her line of work. I would definitely categorize this as suspense driven but it definitely took me there. I'll be reading Part 2 for the follow-up because I seriously doubt Renee is doing reigning supreme.

Renee rules over a vast criminal empire, but her personal life is in turmoil. With multiple people, including family, returning from her past to kill her while dealing with the breakup with her boyfriend and partner as well as sidestepping the feelings of one of her closest and most loyal soldiers, Renee has a lot on her plate while also maintaining her monopoly on the drug trade. How can she possibly climb out of so deep a hole?
The author brilliantly answers this question while also giving you plenty to look forward to in the rest of the series. Renee is a true boss's boss. Can't wait to read part 2.

Renee had a tough life and it just keeps delivering hits to her from the ones who supposed to love her the most. She did what she had to do to make a way and name for herself and sacrificed love to have everything else. Her mom is definitely a beast of a different kind and I'm glad she got to see that Renee was still standing despite it all. I can't wait to see what happens with Carmen's conniving behind. She is a sneaky, plotting, money hungry one. I hope Renee is able to love wholeheartedly like she wishes in the sequel.

Action packed, plenty of people to engage with in this story for sure. Renee had a lot going one but the men that was around her hid too much. I would have loved to see more of her being The Queen of it all and the reason why she was feared. Between the sisters, the mama, the step dad, the uncle and the right hand man ( i believe that who Slice was supposed to be) alot was going on but it was never hard to follow. The book was good.

Renee is a true queenpin. This was a great read and a definite page turner that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Everyone has their own story and how all the characters are connected. My first time reading this author and can say I was pleasantly surprised. Waiting for part 2.

This is a really good book. I'm glad that Renee's sister Page and her mom and stepdad are finally dead. I hope that Renee and Carmen are able to develop a relationship. Carmen needs to try to get her own man and leave Julian alone.
