Mute: Boy meets girl at the end of the world in this fast-paced thriller about love and mutants

Rate this book
Georgie is classy, competent, and to Ant she’s captivating.Ant is none of the above.

In a normal world they might never have met, but this is the apocalypse, and the world is far from normal.Georgie first meets Ant when she rescues him from certain death at the hands - and teeth - of seriously bloodthirsty mutants. Ant is smitten by his saviour but Georgie is mourning the love of her life, and Ant is simply not her type.

It’s an awkward start but Georgie and Ant realise that when it comes to the business of survival they make a powerful team, and before you can say zombie armageddon it’s Georgie and Ant against the (end of the) world.

The mutants that most of humankind have become don’t follow the rules that Ant has learned from a steady diet of zombie movies. But that doesn’t make them any less deadly. Against increasingly overwhelming odds the unlikely action heroes must protect each other, and those who have come to depend on them, as they chase down a desperate lead in their search for the people they've lost…

I released my first novel, Accidental Hitman as an e-book in January 2012. It sold surprisingly well and it was an absolute joy to receive unsolicited messages from people I'd never met telling me how much it made them laugh. I don't think I'll ever tire of that feeling.

My second novel, Christ Man. was a twist on the story of the man himself, think The Gospels meets Goodfellas.

I'm delighted to have a new novel coming out. It's called Mute and it's a black comedy, and a thriller, and a love story. And it's got monsters in it.

Cheers!

Another great book, well done A.W.W.

Well written, funny in places (especially the socks, or lack thereof), but deadly serious mostly and an unexpected ending.

Well rounded characters, well constructed settings and a great plot.
