One of the greatest acts of devotion that we can perform in the blessed month of Ramadan, and at any other time for that matter, is supplication (du’a). The Prophet ﷺ said, “Supplication is (the essence) of worship.” In this book you will find twenty-nine supplications from the Quran and Sunnah that revolve around four themes pertinent to the month of Ramadan: guidance, good habits, prayers for others, and supplications specific to the last ten nights.
This is a compilation of duas (or supplications) tied to muslims’ holy month of Ramadan, with context and citations.
I read and memorized a dua or two from this book each day of this past Ramadan and said them in my sujud (which is the prostration part of our 5 daily prayers) as much as I could, and honestly this habit inspired by this book helped me make my salah (or prayers) a little more special during Ramadan. Now these supplications are a regular thing in my salah and it makes me so happy; just thinking about the fact that I used to barely pray once or twice a day to regularly praying and supplicating in my sujud makes me really grateful for resources like this book.
To my muslim brothers and sisters, I highly recommend this book as a starting point for duas to say in your salah’s sujud.
This is a book I will definitely go back to read over and over and the Duas will still feel fresh to me. I loved saying them in Ramadan and they’re so beneficial even outside of it. You just feel closer to your creator, feel refreshed and brand new with a strong conviction that your prayers have been heard and will be answered.
