Club Avalon #2

Cry for Me

Rate this book
Alabama-born Anarchy might be able to hide her southern accent, but she can't hide her feelings for Avalon's resident sadist.
Everyone, it seems, knows how much she loves Jasper, including the man himself, but that doesn't stop the pain of the axe falling on her dreams with a sharpened blade. It's only compounded when—apparently consumed by guilt for not encouraging her to stay away from him—Jasper asks a favor from the biggest Master in Avalon…

Jasper Fairfax is a complex man. Bred to be a killer, raised and trained by a monster, he's done a lot of bad things in his life. Things he doesn't like remembering, but can't let go. Sadism is ingrained within him, nurtured by his father, until it became part of him. Over the years, he's tried to be a better man, a good man.
Anarchy, his pretty kitten, is the bright light against his darkness. A beacon of hope for a man who believes himself destined to be alone like the monster he’s tried not to become. But what hope does a man deserve when extinguishing that light is his nature?
Letting her go is hard; letting her in is worse.
Especially when his past is no longer content to stay in the past.

These Masters and Mistresses of Avalon are back and this time the story is focused on Jasper and Anarchy.
Anarchy is a sweet sub who wants to belong to Jasper, but he doesn't pay attention to her for a really long time. She pines for him and waits patiently for him to notice her.
Jasper notices her  but doesn't feel deserving of this sweet sub.
Oh my goodness, this story had me crying for Anarchy, angry at Jasper, and furious at Jasper's family.
The closeness of the Avalon family made me so happy and reminding me that family does not always mean blood, sometimes they are chosen.
I can't wait for more of this story!

Such detailed writing. The layering, the depth and building was outstanding. Like take a bow good!

There are some books that I want to jump into their world and be a part of it. This is one. What a caring and complex world they are a part of. I love it!

A few eye roll moments and perhaps a misprint of a timeline in the epilogue but otherwise, this is a great mentor book for any aspiring writers.

Anarchy is a sub in a club and has made her devotion to Sadist Dom, Jasper, clear for a year. He worries that he will hurt her with his sadist ways, especially with his complicated background. He shuts her down.

The other doms rally around Anarchy and Jasper comes to his sense and they find they are a good match.

Jasper’s complicated background rears its ugly head and the doms and Anarchy need to rally to keep Jasper and Anarchy safe.

Holy hell! That was an amazing book! Kay Elle Parker is one hell of an author. She takes us on such unforgettable journeys in each of her books. Slowly peeling back all the layers to expose her hidden world to us the readers. Each book is filled with rich and vibrant worlds and characters, filled with so much emotion. From the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. If you haven't stepped into Avalon yet what are you waiting for? Grab this book and get lost in this utterly amazing world with unforgettable characters you don't want to ever leave. Just make sure you have your tissues within easy reach!

I always worry when I write a review for one of Kay's books.. how can I ever write a review that is amazing enough to do justice her books? I fail every time... but maybe someday I will get it right and do the review that reveals just how amazing her books are. Till then I will just keep trying.

Jasper had an amazing story to tell us in this book. In true Kay fashion it was utterly heart wrenching. We learn the horrors of his past that makes him the sadist that we all love.

Anarchy lord that lady is so very strong and so very soft and breakable. Man I loved learning about her. I truly worried about her in parts of this story.

Connie... she is a mystery. I have so many questions and theories about her and I wonder how her story will play out when we get to it. I hope her story is next I need answers!

Atticus.. There is another character that I need answers about. We learn in this story that all his friends think he is a closet daddy dom.... and you can see that about him. He would make a great daddy dom... but I can't help but wonder about him and I want to know more.

I can't wait for the next book so I can get some of the answers that I am looking for.

I thought i was prepared for Cry for Me,Anarchy and Jasper’s story…..boy, was i wrong!
I knew he kept her at arms lenght because of his past, refused to play with her because he was convinced she was too sweet, too innocent for his sadistic side.
And i knew she didn’t give up,kept following him, serving him where she could, and was his shadow in Avalon.
Until he made the most stupid decision he could, but with noble reasons…..
He “gave” her to Master Atticus, trusting that his good friend would give her what she needed.
It killed him to do it,but even though his heart broke,he really thought it was the best choice for her.
Not knowing it nearly destroyed her…..being thrown away by the man you love like that does that to a girl, you know!

Hearing what really happened to Jasper when he was a child, what he was forced to do?
His parents deserve to SUFFER,is what i’m saying!!!
And Archie felt the same once she heard…..when he finally came to his senses and claimed her as he should have at the start.
Sharing his past was painful, and he was worried it would make her see him differently.
News flash,it did…..only not in the way he thought she would!
With that out of the way, you’d think it was smooth sailing from that moment, right?
WRONG!!
Because his past was coming for him,and it was going to kill EVERYTHING!
If that wasn’t bad enough,Braun and Bodie were going through a rough time.
And Connie wasn’t feeling herself,either….

All in all,Cry for Me did exactly what the title promised…..
It made me cry….as well as laugh, curse, punch walls, and want to hug people.
Well done,Kay Elle Parker!!

I did cry, Jasper. I cried a lot.

I wanted to like this one so bad 😭 I was a mushy puddle whenever there were scenes with Anarchy and Jasper last book... But it opened up with him breaking her heart and giving her away to another Dom so that she could move on. The BETRAYAL that I felt... I'm pretty sure I invented a new definition for that words with the depths of my emotions. Jasper definitely didn't grovel enough to satisfy me so I was just seething for the rest of the book.

I definitely get why people like it though.

This read was incredible. The skillfully crafted storyline entices you into its razor sharp clutches and has you one hundred percent happy to be there. This book is consuming, intense, poignant, powerful and brutally emotional. Anarchy and Jasper so easily sneak into your heart and take up residence there. I found it absolutely impossible not to feel for both of them. Anarchy is just as sweet as Jasper is broken and that makes for a romance that is angsty and very often emotionally agonizing. As compelling and enjoyable as I found this read; I am also very much aware that it is not for all readers. There are a bevy of triggers in this book and dark and disturbing content that is simply going to be just too much for others. So do keep that in mind before you decide to jump onto this twisty and steamy roller coaster ride. This is my frank, freely posted review.

This book was phenomenal. You will fall in love with Archie and Jasper although I fell in love with Atticus as well. The doms that play together, stay together. Twists, oh so steamy, jaw dropping intensity and triggers. But, so worth it!

CRY FOR ME by Kay Elle Parker

It was lovely to meet up with old friends from DANCE FOR ME. Getting to know them better and to love them more. I cried big wet tears for Anarchy,  when Jasper turned her away. I wanted to apply for Atticus' baby girl .. he was definitely ticking all my boxes! Master Braun and Bodie are going thru some bad times together. And no matter what - the 'family'
of Avalon grows stronger and more beautiful as times challenge them all. Mistress Connie has earned mountains of my respect, but I worry she will need everyone's help as she continues to burn her candle at both ends.

No one writes like Ms. Parker. Every word is there for a reason .. either for instruction, something sensual, to enhance, etc. and her descriptions are the best! She weaves words into stories like no other. Yes, CRY FOR ME is a big book, but worth every minute/hour/day you get to spend reading it. It is truly an experience, and I can't wait to see what will be coming next for the Avalon family.  Ten ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Kay socks it to you in book 2 of Club Avalon. Anarchy has been in love with Jasper since she first stepped into Avalon. She played the part of the good submissive in Dance for Me and now Cry for Me because she thought that was what Master Jasper wanted. Jasper knew that Anachary was too innocent for him and chose to break her heart.

If only Jasper had given her a chance before leaving. Good thing the Masters and Mistress at Club Avalon disagreed with Jasper. Not only does Anarchy surprise Jasper at Club Avalon, but he also sees her true nature. When Jasper’s past threatens both of them, the family of Club Avalon comes together.

Kay intertwines the events from Dance for Me into Jasper and Anarchy’s story and eludes to what could happen in future books. As I stated before, Club Avalon is my new favorite for BDSM stories.

No, I didn’t enjoy this one after all. I liked the idea of Jasper as a character in the first book. Real sadists are hard to write (👀 Fifty Shades being the prime example of not getting it right), but this just wasn’t that kind of story. Don’t get me wrong—if you want spice, here is 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. I think the dual POV ruined some of the magic, though, because by the end, a lot of the dialogue read like filler. Probably won’t continue this series.

I should add that I didn’t make it to the end. However, because this book is long af, I’m marking it as “read”. This is my account after all, and I can do what I want. 🤭

Basically, Jasper is a sadist through and through but Anarchy is pure submissive. Jasper fears letting Anarchy feel his sadisticnature, she's too sweet and delicate in his view. The other members of Club Avalon sort of think along the same lines, but they all have a lot to learn. Rather than break her, Jasper calls upon Atticus to help show Anarchy what giving her submission to a real Dom can be, but that backfires. Being a sadist is all Jasper knows, but it will take a strong willed submissive to show him that he can actually be what's been beaten into him and be loved and reciprocate that unknown emotion in return. This is a very long story that gets right to the heart of D/s relations and teaches all around them that love really can conquer all. I might add that I love Atticus and I hope one day soon we get to see him find the perfect baby girl for him. In spite of all the angst, this story is so rewarding, I am so glad that Ms. Parker wrote it and I was thrilled to read this unique love story.

OK, so...I like Anarchy and Jasper together; you get a small sense of their dynamic in Dance for Me, so you know their story is coming. I enjoyed their relationship, but the getting there was really rocky. The other Masters meddled too much in Jasper's preferences-why try and force two people together, when one has past trauma to work through? And Anarchy's initial obsession should definitely not have been encouraged. If a friend of mine acted like she did, I'd have smacked them upside the head, and not in a pleasurable way.

Luckily, her backbone comes out and makes it much easier to like her. Honestly, I think with both their issues, the whole book could have been Anarchy and Jasper navigating the lifestyle. His past coming into play, though, tipped the ante up and keeping you turning pages to make sure they'd both get out of everything in one piece. And of course, the intimate scenes are really hot.

I'm looking forward to the next entries in the series, especially Atticus and Connie. I love both their personalities and can't wait to see who can handle them.

What an amazing book I was captivated from page one. There are some really difficult parts to read and it is almost impossible to imagine that people can be as depraved and cruel as Jasper’s parents. He may have been a sadist but it is surprising that he is not so much worse and Anarchy is his saving grace. The Masters and subs of Avalon are a family and they are strong and supportive. This story in a way continues Braun and Bodie’s story but it is not yet finished, hopefully there will be a happy ending for them and Bodie’s sister Alicia. Connie plays a pivotal role in this book as does Atticus, but Connie seems to be suffering perhaps the next book will be her story. There were times when reading this book that I found myself holding my breath, but Ms. Parker does relieve some of that tension with humerous moments such Liam describing what will happen to Loki if he continues to play with the twins and tell him what the whacker is. An incredible story that is almost impossible to put down and I cannot recommend it highly enough..

The second book in the series, but you can read it as a standalone, but you will get more enjoyment out of the book if you have read the first book Dance for me. It takes place after the events in Dance for me and it focuses on Jasper and his shadow Anarchy.

It is a story filled with emotion from heartbreak and sadness to hope and joy and it will also make you smile and you might want to knock some heads together so they stop being idiots and straighten out and don;t ruin their own happiness.

There are some wonderful characters, not only the main characters but all the secondary characters who have chosen to make their own family and be there in good and bad times.

So in all it is a wonderful book to read.

I didn't love this weird puppy dog devotion she has to guy in the first book. It felt almost like they were making fun of her, pitied her maybe. She was only a blip in the last book but when ever she was mentioned I couldn't understand why NO ONE spoke to her. Then we get to this book, it better explains their dynamic. They seem to talk outside of the scenes but it felt super callous of everyone involved to allow this to go on in the way that it did for so incredibly long. THAT SAID, I liked this one about as much as the first. Over the top scenarios that bring you outside of the club. Feels like two worlds mashed together again but now you get a club book with a sprinkle of agency. I liked that.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE SISTER AT CONNIE'S???? Everyone is just okay with her taking her in and putting all this burden on this lady?? Maybe as an interim but what the heck is going on at this point. Seems really selfish. I DO NOT see it as connie just being this ultra caring person, I read it as people taking advantage of her kindness and I don't like that.

Wow! I saved this book to read on vacation thinking I could take my time. Nope, read it in one evening. Ms. Parker has once again pulled me into this world and left me a sobbing mess. Jasper had a horrible life growing up and it's made him what he is today...a sadist. "Archie" has waited for him to notice her for months and While he has noticed her, he avoids playing with her. He thinks he's too dark for her. When his past comes rushing back into his life, his "kitten" is the one in danger. It's going to take the Masters of Avalon to save both Jasper and Archie. This story had me crying, swearing, getting mad and all the others emotions. I can't wait for Connie's book and I hope we get more from other characters. Cry For Me will be joining Dance For Me on the shelf I have for books that have touched my heart.

I am used to the impact of Ms Parkers books by now and I expect nothing but perfection. But this one ... well you'll have decide for yourself.
You'll get the worst and the best of human interaction. I am certain you will cry for Anarchy and cheer her on, and you'll understand where Jasper is coming from but still want to shake some sense into him. Arrrgh! This is an emotional roller coaster! But I wouldn't have wanted to miss it.
Another socking great story!

So, we met Master Jasper, the sadist, and Anarchy, the sub, in the first book. And now, we get their book.

Jasper has a really screwed up background, so he's spent most of the past year trying really hard to ignore Anarchy, because he is a sadist, and he has to be a sadist, and she deserves so much more.

Archie, AKA Anarchy, truly bonded to Jasper through some traumatic events. She's in love with him, and she follows him around whenever they are both at Avalon together, and she tries really hard to be the perfect sub so that he'll choose her, but he never does. And he goes so far as to basically hand her off to someone else.

I get where Jasper is coming from. He doesn't want to hurt Anarchy, and she has this innocence going on, which he feels like he can't spoil. The thing with Jasper is that because of the way that he was brought up, being a sadist isn't something he can turn off. He has to cause some pain so that he can get aroused, and he's afraid that he's going to go too far with Archie. I think that Jasper holds on to a lot of guilt that isn't necessarily his to hold, and it can be really hard on him.

I think that Archie is just this ray of light. She has this bright innocence about her, but she also has this weight and substance. She spends a lot of time being happy and optimistic, and she will listen to the masters, but she will also stand her ground where and when she needs to. I wouldn't want to mess with her.

This book really just knocked me for a loop. I cried a couple of times, and really wanted to smack certain characters.

Cry For Me
Club Avalon#2
By Kay Elle Parker
Narrated by Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire

Once again, I am captivated by the writing of Kay Elle Parker. This series not only gives us the spice, but a story to sink your teeth into. This book features Anarchy, a sweet sub who pines after sadist, Master Jasper. He is always watching her, but feels he is too dark for her and is afraid what he may do to her. Anarchy has found out the real meaning of family in the club, and with Atticus, Connie, Braun and Brodie realized their is more to the word than blood. This group knows what their friend Jasper needs, and they know it’s Archie..they just need him to realize it. But even together, in love and finding their way, their is a darkness that follows Jasper. And it’s dangerous. High suspense, the true meaning of friendship and love like no other, Parker takes us on a wild ride. Anarchy is a fantastic heroine. I love how she transforms and finds her strength. Loyal and loving, she is amazing. Jasper is quite a man. He is extremely attentive and finally finds his way through his past. This is the kind of story I love, with community, suspense and love. It’s the perfect listen.

Narrated by the team of Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St Claire I am treated to a fabulous interpretation of these characters. Qualen knows how to play the alpha male and can add that bit of vulnerability and emotion but not lose his dominance. St Claire is fabulous as Anarchy. She is a complex woman, and each stage of her transformation is pulled out and felt with St Claire’s emotional portrayal. This team knows how to tell a story and make it come alive!

Ms Parker NEVER lets her readers down. EVER.
'Cry For Me' is no exception.
The reader is deftly swirled into the world Ms. Parker's created: the Club Avalon, its Masters & Mistresses, its subs; the sights & sounds of her characters as they experience INTENSE physical scenes/situations. Wonderfully multi-layered complex characters that you not only want to know more about, you NEED to know more & you're kept on mesmerizing tenterhooks as the plot & story unfold before you like a gorgeous Persian rug.
Her writing (for me at least) keeps me tethered deep into the story with the scalding sizzle; characters you love; skilled writing that deftly engenders worry, concern, heartache in the reader's breast as well as a DEEP sense of beautifully heartwarming romance & love, all marvelously spiced with the perfect balance of mystery, suspense & danger.
For the reader craving excellent writing, wonderful characters, a mesmerizing plot & scorching sizzle: This one hits ALL those buttons flawlessly!

This author’s writing is mesmerizing, and I couldn’t help but hang on to every word. The way she writes brings every sentence, scene and character to life. And although this was a pretty long book, not one word felt wasted!

And this book! I was so not ready for such an emotional roller coaster!
My heart broke for Anarchy, and I was so frustrated and angry with Jasper! But then when we learn about his past, I did not expect the story to take such a dark turn! It was so intense and twisted!
In the end, I’m glad our resident sadist came to his senses because he and Anarchy were just perfect for each other! And don’t even get me started on the steam!!

"Tonight, pretty kitten, is the night you cry for me."

The story is so much more than just about Jasper and Anarchy. This is also a continuation of Bodie and Braun’s story, so while it can be read as a stand-alone I really recommend you also read the first book Dance For Me. And we also get to know better other members of Club Avalon. Master Atticus and Mistress Connie played a big part in this one and I can’t wait for their stories!

This second book in this series is a highly emotional read and I loved everything about it. Jasper intrigued me in the first book so I couldn’t wait to read about him and Anarchy, a young submissive who loves him from afar. They are both complex people and while I believe they belong together, life seems to have a way of throwing a wrench into those plans.

Jasper’s past is not a good one, and is why he is the way he is today, and why he feels Anarchy should stay away. But she’s a tenacious woman and wants to show him that she can be everything and more to him. When outside forces threaten both of them, Jasper will do anything to protect her.

These two go thru quite a bit in this story. I love both Jasper and Anarchy. She is a delightful, funny yet determined young woman and she has a soft spot for Jasper. As for Jasper, while he comes across all rough and tough, there is a part of him that will make your heart melt. I really enjoyed their story and truly didn’t want it to end.

Warning.....Tissues are required...

I almost cried when I found out that Ms Parker wrote about Master Jasper and Anarchy’s story after meeting them in Dance for Me (Avalon book 1)and after such a rollercoaster of a story that was I found myself strapped in for another ride with Cry for Me..
Continuing from Dance For Me, Jasper feels he had led Anarchy along for months only to leave her as he felts she couldn’t take his form of sadistic play stemming from his unique and unpleasant upbringing...and by passing her care into best friend and club Daddy Atticus’s care. So when Jaspers past comes to Avalon, Jaspers comes back to win back Anarchy’s submission..
There is a lot happening in this book with all the Dom’s/Domme of Avalon as we also continue Braun and Bodies journey, making it a hard to put down book and also one that requires a box of tissues nearby...

Trouble has found its way to Club Avalon, and Jasper has had enough. The only problem is that he thinks the best thing for him to do is to cut Anarchy loose. I was so upset with him for his sheer stupidity! I loved Atticus, and part of me rooted for him to be the right one for Archie. The intriguing story relating to Jasper and his sick, evil parents was nail-biting, and I wonder if we've seen the last of them.

I felt horrible for Braun and Bodie though. I hope they can weather the storm that's brewing ahead for them. And Connie too - she's carried the weight of everyone's problems on her shoulders and needs a break. This Club Avalon family is amazing, the way they go all out for each other. I love them dearly, and hope they each get the reward in matters of the heart that they so justly deserve!

I sooooo loved Jasper and Anarchy! They were perfect for each other. I also really liked how you find out about Jasper's past. Jasper was a bit of an idiot at first too. He tries to get Anarchy to be happy without him and it back fires so badly. But I love how the Doms won't let Anarchy be by herself when they finally get a hold of her. They support her and help her feel not so alone. She starts to realize that when she thought she was on the outside of the group she actually was already part of it. When Jasper finally gets his act together he starts realizing Anarchy is literally everything he wants. But other things start coming out of the woodwork. . .

I really loved how the story progresses from the 1st book. And I can't wait to find out more about these friends and the club!

Anarchy has loved Jasper from the moment she laid eyes on him. He did not think he was good enough for her, so instead of trying to be her dom, he left her. We see how Anarchy grows from Jasper leaving and then the choices she makes when he returns. In amongst all of the D/s action, Kay Ella Parker has created a suspense novel. Jasper has a very unique and interesting background that is coming for him. The drama unfolds well. While this is part of a series it can be read as a standalone novel without any problem. Something I really like about the book was that it was long. So often in this genre, the books are short and leave out character development and plot, that was not the case with this book.

Assumptions = Miscommunication

Anarchy has been a shadow of Jasper since book 1 of Avalon, what we didn't know then we learn in this book. Jasper and Anarchy prove that communication is key in and outside the lifestyle.

Jasper has demons, and they play into his psyche and how/why he interacts the way he does.

Anarchy is probably the sweetest heroine, but when she falls she falls. She is very relatable in her mannerisms and getting lost in her own head.

Grab some tissues and a comfy chair, this book will grab you and you won't want to put it down.....oh and it will make you want more of the Doms of Avalon.

Fall in love with Anarchy

This book is heavy into the whole BDSM submissive and Dominant theme .. But from the very first book Dance For Me where we meet the players from the Avalon club I want to know everyone darkest secrets and oh boy does poor Jasper have a past just waiting to show up and cause trouble... Jasper does have to get his head out of his butt thinking he to messed up for Anarchy "Whats more important, Jasper? A shitty past or a radiant future" so after a lil soul searching and a lil help from there friends these two get it together... Still feeling sad for poor Braun and Bodie hopefully they get happiness in the next book .. Will be reading the next book!!

5 Stars for book 2 in the Club Avalon series

Jasper and Anarchy. Oh what a journey we take with the characters from this series. While those 2 are the main characters the secondary ones are integral to each and every book. Kay Elle Parker leaves you needing more. More of the characters, more of the angst, more passion, just more. I’ve already got book 3 on pre-order and am so ready to see what happens with Connie and the group this time.
