After the complete mindfuck of the first book in this duet, Altered turned Lilith's fantasy world into reality. I'll admit that the first book was a bit better in my eyes but I did like seeing how the guys would react outside of her fantasy world.

The romance was still fire and I liked their chemistry too. However, the Lauren and ex drama was kind of weird. I knew it wasn't going to go away after the first book but damn - I wasn't expecting a certain something to go down towards the end either.

Other than that, I liked how we still talked about Lilith's mental illness as well. Also the phobia's from Atticus could be pretty hilarious at times but I felt bad for him too. As for everything else? It was okay if I'm being honest. I just think the first book was better.

In the end, I'm glad I got to meet these crazy kids and watch them grow.

After the last book I had no idea what to expect here. I mean the last book was basically readers suffering Lilith's delusions right along with her and honestly I gotta say I think I'm dealing with it worse than her. So awkward and a bit eerie to once again start getting to know the the guys because everything we thought we knew was a lie. It was such a trip having her fake harem become her real harem. One thing I find in RH lately is characters who are familiar with a harem or the RH lifestyle. This book creates the whole relationship up in her head and then slowly starts delving into the real thing, something none of the other characters have ever tried, thought of trying or thought they'd enjoy. In that sense the book is very contemporary and the characters all learn as they go. Not only is this a new type of relationship for them all, it's something they will all have to work on together especially as a few of the men are complete strangers. The men are too good to be true and all deal with her struggles right along with her, they were truly kind and patient, hard to believe someone would be so lucky to find 5 men like this. What am I doing wrong lmao?!?!?! One thing I would have liked is if we had more time with them all together as her harem because when you break it down, it's really only the one book & with having to recreate new relationships with them all it was a bit much to squeeze in and feel real!.

As much tension as there was in the book and as much as I was enjoying it though, I found I slacked on continuously reading this one and kept finding reasons to put it down. It was a good book don't get me wrong but it was just weird getting back into it. With the way the first ended with such a bang, the momentum was like an adrenaline high and so this book almost felt like a dud in comparison. There were certainly a few hilarious moments and of course a whole lot of raunchiness but it felt like something was missing.

I had a hard time believing all of the men were just so kind, perfectly wonderful and accepting of Lilith especially after hearing about her past, her recent stay in the hospital and the fake relationship she created between them all. That mixed with them all being new to harems and pretty much strangers kept me slightly off kilter this time around. In some ways it all felt rushed restarting her relationship with four men and adding another in only this single book. Then the end felt too quick and the HEA while nice, just didn’t leave me convinced they’d stay together forever. I’m sad because in so many ways I’m still blown away by book one. Everything felt so organically real and delicious the first time that not only did I question everything in this book I just didn’t “feel” it or anything much like I did in book one.

We do finally get answers on what happened when her mother killed Drake's little brother and damn it was a lot to take in but at the same time I'm glad to have answers. Not sure I want to delve into the whole mother situation especially in the end because damn things took a turn. I did really enjoy the entire mental health aspect and how the author handled it. It’s such a common societal hurdle for us all and I’m enjoying seeing it incorporated more and more in fiction. Lilith's day to day life consists of constantly being in fear of turning in her parents, so much so that she does actually lose sight of reality a time or two. It’s frightening & horrible but it can and does happen to anyone. Her illness was something the men had to accept about her. 3 of her 5 are not really familiar with trauma, phobias etc and it’s a lot of adjusting like learning how to help her to focus and manage her life. My favorite part had to be about Atticus and his domesticated animals phobia, I mean he got sassy with a goldfish and even tried measuring it swimming by in the water 😝 This was a crazy wild duet very similar and yet also unlike other books I've read. The journey was insane and I'd would give it a recommend to fellow RH fans who maybe also like a bit of psychology mixed with the romance.

Sweet

After the heartbreaking plot twist at the end of the first book, I was extremly relieved reading about the HEA of Lilith. Of course, it's a bit farfetched but it couldn't be different.

I've been shocked by the last twist with Alex😳 It was quite a big thing and we didn't have enough information about how Lilith and Drake reacted and managed it. It was too short and felt rushed. I would prefer that the author didn't tell about it or take more time to develop this part🤔

This duet is a nice read. I like broken FMC and here mental health issues are very well described and are very realistic.

I was really excited to read the finale. My heart broke for Lilith in the first book, I wanted closure. I wanted answers, and I wasn't able to put the book down at all. I finished it in one go and I feel I'm even more devastated now than I was before reading it. Lilith deserves the world and more. She's always lived under the shadows of her fears and psychotic mother. She deserved to be freed and I'm glad her men are so supportive of her, not despite it all but because of it. Her family doesn't define her, her mental issues don't define her. They formed and shaped her but she's her own person. I loved her more in this book.

The men- I loved them but damn I can't pick a favorite, lol. They are all so adorable in their quirkiness. And those scenes of Atticus and Elbert, please I was laughing like a maniac. Atticus is so cute and precious. He and his murder mittens make me melt inside. I loved everyone but I think Kenzo & Atticus have my heart. We also got to know Drake in this book, who's very fundamental in the healing of Lilith. But Drake needed Lilith as much as she needed him.

The writing and buildup were amazing. The plot is stellar and well narrated. However, I did think that the ending felt a bit anti-climaxing. Otherwise, it was perfect.

I just think the twist didn't work and I wish the book was different

I didn't finish book 1 as I figured the twist out by chapter 6 and figured book 2 would negate all we *learned* about the guys and thought we knew. So I lost interest

I read book 2 in its entirety and the relationships just didn't have enough screen time for me. Especially if you are negating the entire book 1

Oh and the guys setting that stuff up..
Personally not a fan

I liked the premise of the duet...just not the execution

🌸 FULL DUET REVIEW 🌸

Blake tells us that this duet is unlike other books she has written, and that is definitely the case! I'm a big fan of her book, Pin-Up Girl, and have enjoyed other books of hers, so I was excited when I heard about this newest release.

As always with Blake's books - they are well written and edited, and you can tell that they are written from her heart. They are full of feeling and insights that always make them memorable...and when you read as much as I do, being memorable is key.

⚠️: Some darker elements. Strong mental health themes (suicide, PTSD, bipolar, schizophrenia, amongst others)

⚡FRACTURED: Due to having read other books with a similar premise, I caught on pretty early what was happening. Although it didn't come as a surprise, I still found myself shedding a tear or two.

I was a little surprised at the writing style...it didn't come across as Blake's usual...and then when the book finished, I wanted to smack myself over the head when I realised why it was written that way. I won't say anything that might lead to a spoiler, but just know that it's intentional.

⚡ALTERED: This half of the book returns to Blake's "regular" style. Relationships progress and grow, and there's plenty of feelings that the book pulls from you.

Although this duet isn't the usual kind of book I read, I did enjoy it for what it was: a celebration of hope, survival and overcoming hardships to triumph in the end.

I’m so disappointed ☹️

The beginning started off so strong.
Seeing how Kenzo, Atticus, Saint and Ambrose actually met Lilith! I was shocked, I was glad I got their POV.
Then as the story went on I got more disappointed. Lilith IMO needed more time to get better. She just got out of the hospital she shouldn’t have jumped into anything especially with the guys she had delusions.
And it really seemed strange to me that Kenzo and Atticus would want to have anything to do with her. They knew what happened.
Ambrose seemed IMO the least flushed out in this one. I feel he could have been left out.

I will say the guy’s real personalities from the ones she gave them was interesting to read. I really enjoyed that.

I liked the storyline with her Drake. I feel that would have been a good relationship to have come out of the whole thing.
He could have been the to help her heal and find the truth. They could have helped each other.
This would have been an amazing journey to see.

The twist at the end and what happened with her mom. I didn’t really buy. But that went along with the other things.

Altered provided us a seamless transition between novels. As a reader, I'm glad we got to experience Lilith's journey outside of the hospital. I was ecstatic she not only got Drake, but that he didn't harbor any resentful feelings towards Lilith. I loved her whole harem actually. Harper was also a wonderful character and best friend. The world needs more Harpers.
The goldfish absolutely killed me. Knowing he was tiny and how big they can get, ha, it sent me.
The Fragile Minds duet was a beautiful, yet tragic story and I'm glad that the author took a chance to put it out into the world.

I liked this a lot regarding Lilith relationship with the guys and the construction of it but I feel like book one was better in the plot part. I like the romance here but it lacked drama and angst.

I still really enjoyed it and was so happy to see Lilith have her HEA. This was pretty amazing. Toodles!

This soothed my soul

After the ending of book 1, I could not wait to start this one and find out how everything would be resolved. Whereas book 1 bodyslammed you with that ending book 2 was the soothing massage after your workout and a long week.

Am now going to go find more books by this author to devour

Blake Blessing Altered was FANTASTIC!!! This duet was everything and the ending of the book I smiled so hard for Lilith and her harem. Fractured left the reader feeling broken hearted and lost for Lilith but Altered brings us full circle and puts us all back together. This book is a book that can help you find clarity and hope in the darkest of times. It is okay to be not okay and it okay to be a little broken!

Recap- Book One (Fractured by Blake Blessing) you meet Lilith. She has struggled her entire life. Both of her parents were mentally ill and her child was anything but happy. Knowing that mental illness ran deep in her blood she knew one day she would fall prey to it's curse too. But Lilith watched and ran a tight ship in hopes that she could fight her fate. That she could make sure that she did not become her evil mother. She met 4 amazing men and thought that her life couldn't be more perfect. Each man gave her exactly what she needed and was exactly what she needed at that time. They were willing to be her harem and her loves. But then she watched reality come crashing down on her when everything in her life shattered. And rather than give her she decided to get the help she needed.

Fast Forward to book two (Altered by Blake Blessing) - Lilith has gotten her self the help that she so desperately needed. She checked her self into a hospital to her and as book two picks up she is being released from the hospital to go home.

Lilith now knows that her worst fears have come true. She is officially on the crazy train but she is determined to rise above her illness and live as normal a life as she can. She starts that life by finding a job at Nanette's café. On her first day home Lilith somehow encounters two on her harem in real life and it is overwhelming to say the least. She gets to see them in a new light. A saner light and she is not sure how she didn't see all the red flags. She is not sure how looking at the real men she didn't see all the things that were missing. She takes their encounters in stride only showing the cracks she feels on her own. Feeling the pain of her fracture and the life she thought she had.

Then Lilith takes another step to recovery. She faces her fear and decides to reach out to Drake. She wants to see Drake in a new light and see if the monster she imagined in her delusions was even real. Never could she expected him to like her or her to really like him. But for the life of her she cannot understand WHY?!? To her she is she broken and not worth liking much less loving.

Lilith continues to encounter the men from her delusions sometimes just them and other times in pairs. She is suddenly surrounded by men that are all vying for her attention. Lilith being Lilith she cannot understand their attraction or fascination at times. She questions reality more than once. Has she fallen prey to another fracture??? At times she even second guesses them and herself. She thinks that maybe this is a game and they are just playing with her and her illness. Because to Lilith her illness defines her and makes her unworthy. But as they all grow closer they start to help her. They ground Lilith even in the darkest of moments.

Never could she be MORE WRONG! Lilith is strong and she continues to fight to live and be HER. She discovers her harem to be even bigger than she fantasized. All these men band together because Lilith might not see if but they see the amazing that she encompasses and they are enraptured by her. She is like a magnet drawing them all together and in. And for once in her life she breaks the mold and starts to REALLY LIVE!

This story will teach you that our demons and our weaknesses do not define us. We determine who we are as people no matter how many things are stacked against us. Mental illness is HARD. And Lilith was stronger in so many ways refusing to give in to her fracture. She FOUGHT and she learned from her mistakes. She learned to let other people in and let them help her when she felt weak.

If you have not read this duet yet I implore you to do so! You will be sucked into Lilith's world and fall in love with all of the characters!

You will hurt for Lilith when she hurts and you will laugh and smile for her when the good things come. Her life becomes full and most of all she finds the strength and will to do so for herself. She wants to live and be okay! She has an amazing support system to help her in her dark times. As their love grows they learn to work as a group and they lean on one another for support.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE read these books in order. You do not want to miss out on Lilith's journey! And what a journey she has! But before every rainbow there is rain. She shines at the end of this book! Love can work some miraculous things! It can bring the hopeless hope and give them the strength to keep pushing on.

Blake Blessing thank you so much for writing this duet!! You see the beauty in the flaws and you gave us all an AMAZING story! I really hope that in the future you write more books like these! Because ma'am you truly are amazing! You delivered a heart breaking story that was absolutely intoxicating!

Blake Blessing has a natural talent for bringing out exceptional characters who are a bit broken and giving them the pieces they need to become whole.

Blake captures the nuances of mental illness very well; the constant struggles, doubts, every day questions within ones own mind. The wondering, debating and constant worry and questioning if anything Lilith experiences is real.

The fact that all of Lilith’s men (plus one) come to care for her as much as her altered counterparts is one reason I love this story. Even though Lilith’s mind created her previous relationships with these men, they grow to love and care for her even after learning her story.

The broken deserve love and care just as much as the whole and this is what I love about Blake. She captures the broken and makes them whole, creating a story that some can relate to on a personal level. Her stories provide hope and encouragement through words that you can get through anything and still gain the happiness you deserve.

One other thing I enjoyed was the struggle I had with Atticus. I know in the first book he was an author and then in this one, his occupation isn’t even remotely close threw me off. I knew Lilith created her men, but I guess it didn’t click that Lilith’s mind created aspects of her men, right down to their occupations. Nicely done!

This isn’t really anything negative, but I noticed in the second half of the book, Lilith’s friend Harper is less prominent. Even when she goes through some difficult areas, the meltdown and confrontation with her mother, Harper is barely mentioned. She is Lilith’s best friend and I would think she would have rushed to be with her in that difficult time, even with all her men. If not just to make sure for herself that her friend is okay for her own eyes.

I have yet to read a book by Blake Blessing I didn’t absolutely love. Even with the warning and struggles of my own. I was able to enjoy this story.

If you are struggling or know someone with mental illness, this story may not be the one for you. Blake shows her support and thoughtfulness by providing helpful links for those who need assistance in the back this book.

This shows she cares for her readers and her desire to help those in need. Who doesn’t love an author who cares for her readers?

“As much as I wanted to hide, I wanted to be happy more.”

Blessings states in the forward that we lived Lilith’s psychosis with her without knowing it in the previous book—which is a brilliant plot device. From a literary standpoint I admire it, but as a reader it posed problems.

I never felt invested in Lilith’s relationships, and as they’re a huge part of the book, reading became tedious and boring. As it turns out, the problems I had with the characters and plot were actually signs Lilith was in a delusion, which is—like I said—brilliant, but problematic.

Lilith’s journey in this book more than made up for my lackluster experience with the previous one. This time around we really get to see the characters for who they are—imperfections and all—and I was instantly invested in watching Lilith develop relationships with the men from her delusions (and Drake). Additionally, the connection that I was formally missing with Lilith as the lead character was not only there, but strong.

This was an extremely enjoyable read with the perfect amount of mystery, heartache, fear, hope, and love.

"Is this real?"

After reading Fractured By Blake Blessing I was left with my jaw on the floor and my mind reeling. That book is by far one of the most twisted well done psychological thrillers I have, and likely will ever read!

However Fractured is only the introduction to Lilith's twisted life full of questionable realities and unsolved mysteries.

"Is this real?" Lilith was not the only one saying this throughout Altered, I found myself questioning my ability to trust what I was reading the entire time. Blake's writing had me so ingrossed in Lilith's life that I felt just as bewildered as she was.

After the events of Fractured Lilith has become a beautifully altered soul. Now we follow her through her journey of healing and self discovery where she is unexpectedly supported by the real men of her past.

I thought I loved the guys and the way they supported Lilith before, but that was nothing on what they become for her in this book, but the real twist in fate is that as they support her and help her heal and grow she is helping them. From allowing Saint to be in control, to Showing Kenzo he can love and be in a relationship. Becoming the missing piece for Alex and Drake, and supporting Atticus through his own mental health challanges. Watching them become a family was a beautiful thing to witness.

Watching the mystery of Lilith's past unfold had me on the edge of my seat. Every time a new repressed memory presented itself I was anxious to find out where it led us.

I had no idea how Blake was going to be able to pull off a happily ever after, but this, it could not have come together more beautifully.

Last but not least Elbert, is by far, one of my most favorite parts of my book!

If you haven't started this Duet you really need to go check it out. I know how it goes, I know what to expect, yet I still think I'd be blindsided by the events every time I read it.

Blake Blessing this book, this duet are everything!!

Mental health is dark, dangerous and full of demons. Through Lilith and her journey we learn that we are not the total of our demons and weaknesses, that they do NOT define who we are. We are strong enough to fight them and live a life we deserve, as our true self. We are worthy of friends and love, not everything is the darkness that controls us.

Fractured left me utterly broken, I was so invested in Liliths love for her men that it crushed me to find she had succumbed to her mental illness and was having a major life altering delusion. As a result she gets the help that she so desperately needs, so she can live her life and not become her mother.

Lilith knows her fears have come true and she is officially crazy but she wants to live and the road to recovery is never easy, she will be faced with challenges. She encounters so many from meeting the men she loved in her delusions, to feeling utterly unworthy, to learning to trust and love again but all the while that voice is there making her question it all.

You will hurt for Lilith when she suffers, you will feel joy when she does. Your connection to her as a reader is more like an in body experience, its like you become her. She grows so much, finds inner strength and resolve, her will to live is astounding. She gets an amazing support system who are there when the darkness comes. Her men, they become the rock that grounds her, the earth that helps her grow and the air that helps her sore.

This book culminates in happiness and love, its far beyond anything Lilith ever thought she was worth or could have. It brings strength to you to know that you are not the sum of your demons, that you can overcome all obstacles in your way. Mental health is unbelievable tough but with help you can become you.

If you haven't read Fractured you MUST start there, this duet is heart wrenchingly beautiful.

A beautifully real, and so perfectly heartbreaking story!

After reading Fractured, book 1 of the Fragile Minds Duet, it had left me feeling so confused and in knots, and I couldn't wait for this book. I am happy to say that it did not disappoint. Blake Blessing drew me into the story with the unexpected twists and mind blowing "what did I just read" moments. And yes it was a crazy ride, but so incredibly well told that I feel like this story will never leave my heart or mind.

Mental illness is a difficult subject to talk about for most people, and is highly stigmatized. Reading the Fragile Minds duet was moving and heart breaking in a way that I haven't really seen before in any book or even in movies. The way that Blake writes Lilith's story makes you feel what she feels. It draws you in in such an incredibly relatable way. It enabled me to feel and experience things from Lilith's point of view. I am floored by her talent.

"Hope is the cryptocurrency I wanted to invest in, but I'm not sure it's real."

The story itself was incredible. Unpredictable in the way things progressed, and satisfying to follow the journey. Altered offered more chapters from the men's point of view, which after the epilogue in Fractured was a perfect compliment to Lilith's point of view.

I absolutely adored the men and the relationships that built in Altered. I was very skeptical about what could maybe be expected after the events in the first book, but the men did not disappoint. Atticus remains my favorite with his phobia of pets, but the together with the others, they offer the perfect support, love and acceptance Lilith deserved.

Be sure to that you’ve read Fractured before Altered!

Fractured but not broken, Lilith is rebuilding her life after her break. She sees the men that she had built relationships with around her small town, finding them different than she thought them to be. The embarrassment that she feels is palpable, the misery realizing that her life had twisted so much hurts as you read. The emotions come off the page, and you can feel as she pieces herself back together. Slowly, she starts to find things in common with the men, and they start to pursue her. They all are called to her presence. The times that she sees them together where she questions her sanity has notes of horror and hilarity if that’s even possible. She’s so endearing in that she can’t believe that they want her. There is a lot of dark humor in this book, times where you’ll cry, and times of did this just happen?!

Lauren, Lilith’s mom is still a presence in her life as Lilith tries to remember repressed memories, and they haunt her as she starts to spend more time to with Drake.

This book has high heat once things get going, and there is a HEA that Lilith and the guys work hard for.

The end of Fractured dealt a blow. I didn't see it coming at all. The guys aren't with Lilith at all, she made it all up and committed herself after the intervention with Atticus, Kenzo and Harper.

While we know Atticus and Kenzo are actual people since they were part of the intervention, we don't if Saint and Ambrose are. Then there's Drake and his need to know the truth about what happened to his brother. Now Lilith is home and on medication, she needs a job and finds one the next town over. She wants less of a chance of running into the people who were part of her delusion. Of course the best laid plans and all. She also has a new psychiatrist, one better suited to her needs.

We get to meet the guys again, this time as who they really are. Everything we thought we knew is now different. Every time Lilith meets up with one of them, she needs to anchor herself to be sure it's real and not another break. She also needs to decide whether or not to visit her mother, Lauren.

My heart went out to her with each encounter. These guys, and I am including Drake in this, are pretty darn awesome!

I couldn't stop reading, I had to know the truth about everything and where this would all lead.

A true journey of healing and love.

Lilith

Wow what a perfect end 🥰 I loved this duet. First book had me feeling for Lilith. Broke my heart what she went through, this second book to the duet was incredible
The struggle she went through and finally coming to terms with what is real and what isn’t.

This is a fantastic read, mental health brought to you in a way I’m sure some of you can relate to
Mental health is huge in the world today
Just that most of us don’t realise the person that could be standing next to us, a neighbour, a friend or family member could be suffering and you don’t see the signs
The book opens your mind and learn so much

The romance side makes me a little jealous lol I know this is a book
Just Lilith and the story of how these men came into her life and then how it worked in the end
If only we can get 5 sexy men at our beck n call lol
I do love RH books and this was good, not as naughty as I’m a greedy bitch for filth hehe but the aim for this read was Lilith finally finding support and people who wanted to be there for her and show her that just because she suffers with her mental health it doesn’t mean she can have a life and a future and that’s what her friends and boyfriends do ☺️

It’s a must read from me.

Soooo.... book 2 in the Fragile Minds Duet. This picks up after our FMC’s hospitalization for a psychotic break. We learned at the end of book one that the amazing life she was leading with her yummy, supportive men was, in fact, all in her head. While she had met the men, her relationships with them were a result of her psychosis building her own reality. After a few months in a hospital, she’s ready to pick up the pieces of her life and try to move on, while properly medicated. Mental illness is definitely NOT something you see in romances very often, but this was just so well done. Seeing her struggles and doubts and fears, and then overcoming them while still knowing she would always be a little different. The men were more real, more, caring, and more supportive than even their counterparts in the FMC altered reality. I’m not going to say much because... spoilers. This is a true reverse harem, but at points, it’s really difficult to clearly see who will end up with our girl. Which, I think, is THEE best kind of RH. There’s many twists and turns throughout the plot. It’s just really, really well done. #ElbertISGettingBigger 😂💜

Amazing conclusion to a unique, emotional read that tackles difficult themes.

Lilith is recovering from the events in the previous book and finally seems to be in a good place mentally and emotionally. This book focuses on Lilith finally getting her HEA and her relationship journey with each of the men she has befriended. I loved all of the guys and how utterly devoted they were to Lilith after only knowing her a short amount of time. I was happy this book gave us multiple POVs and I really enjoyed reading from the perspective of the guys. We also solve the mystery of what happened the night of Eli’s murder and Lilith finally gets the closure she needs to move on and be happy.

This was such an original storyline and I truly appreciated Blake writing a lead character with mental illness. The writing was absolutely beautiful and the characters were all so lovable. Lilith fights hard for her happiness but she gets there and brings 5 guys along for the ride! Absolutely incredible read!

4.5⭐ I want to start off by commending Blake Blessing for writing a reverse harem duet like no other. Its a thriller that is a suspenseful romance. There has been more of a push to especially with contemporary reverse harem for dark romance and for suspenseful stories but I felt this really pushes the genre box in a good way. And the title the blurb we'll let you in on the fact this isn't your typical RH and again that's a great thing
RH doesn't have to fit into a box and it's a disservice to reverse harem to expect it to be one thing specifically. I love that Blake lessing is pushing the barriers yet keeping what we love about reverse Harem at the same time.

This is a really interesting duet. A really unique story I really enjoyed reading. I was excited to see what would happen this book after last book sending and how it was all going to come together. I feel like I can't say much more without spoiling it. But I really look forward to more RH that pushes the genre in different directions and more from Blake Blessing

"The mind is a powerful thing. And my worst enemy."

Altered is the final book in the Fragile Minds duet from Blake Blessing, and where Fractured broke our hearts and turned the world on its head for Lilith, Altered shows us her strength in the aftermath.

Through Lilith, Blessing gives us a painfully honest and beautiful look into the uncertainty and despair that comes from not being able to trust your own mind, but it also shows us that what was once broken can still be beautiful, can still heal, and can still be whole again - in a new way.

In this chapter of Lilith's story, we see her fight her shame and forge connections that will stand the test of time, and brave baring herself mind, body and soul to others in the pursuit of healing and finding love despite being forever altered by her past.

Another superbly well written exploration of mental illness, sensitive subjects and just the right amount of humor, steam and mystery to keep you hooked til the end.

I was a little bit worried about how this last book in The Fragile Minds duet was going to play out. Especially after how the first book ended. It was a heartbreakingly stunning read. One that made you live through every emotion Lilith and her Harem - Atticus, Kenzo, Blake, Alex and Drake went through. It also showed us with sensitivity both sides of mental health. From Lilith's point of view and how she came to terms with all that had happened in her life. To her mother who went through episodes of lucidity but was nowhere near able to cope with her illness. I also lived how Lilith had the support of the guys as well as they had plenty of sympathy for her and what she was going through. Lots of heart felt sadness, a few laughs (which were needed) but above all else there was lots of love in this duet. I couldn't love these books more. My only wish is that I could give it more than 5 stars. It was that good!!

So after finishing book 1 I was puzzled how this could be a HEA. Like I was at a complete loss. Blake Blessing did such an amazing job with this book. It's a darker storyline and it tackles one of the hardest topics to understand: mental illness. There is such a stigma surrounding mental illness and what it means to be mentally ill and this book pushed all of that aside and made you understand the struggles that those with a mental illness face everyday and make it something that we can have a conversation about. I know it probably sounds weird to have RH book centered around mental illness but part of loving someone is accepting all parts of them and this book truly encompasses that and makes talking about your feelings normalized. All I can say is that I loved it and want to read whatever Blake Blessing comes out with next.
