This book is still ongoing but I decided to review it. THIS IS THE BEST FANFIC OF ANY BOOK I HAVE EVER READ. If you a kanej stan, you need to read this. This fanfiction takes place after the events of crooked kingdom (I want to say around 3-4 months??) with Inej returning home to Ketterdam. Over the course of the next few months, Kaz and Inej are able to test their boundaries and slowly break down the walls they have guarded for their whole lives. It started out with holding hands, to hugs with skin-to-skin contact, to even sharing a bed with an ample amount of distance between them. Eventually, they are able to have their first kiss (btw it's technically through resuscitation to save Inej's life... but I wouldn't have it any other way) and explore that physical touch both were starved of. I loved how this author didn't disregard their traumas but helped them conquer them; together. Please read this, that's all I am going to say.

This is just so amazing. It’s still ongoing but I think I’ve read more pages that goodreads claims it has, so I am gonna rate it anyways:) I only started it 19 days ago and I’m obsessed, already on chapter 113 ahah😍

Technically this is still ongoing on ao3, but I’m all caught up on 800K words of deliciously angsty Kaz & Inej brainrot. Exactly what the doctor ordered, what a delight to read. To put it into perspective 800K is more than twice the length of the combined duology. And you better believe I’ll be subscribed till the end lol

this fic is the best, its amazing and its still going!! the way ravenyenn19 writes kanej and the crows is amazing it reads like SOC and I just need yall to read it. this fic has given me closer as it is literally SOC 3 in my mind, nothing can change that (maybe the acutal SOC 3 but hey) read it you wont be disappointed!!!! 5 stars isnt even enough stars for this fic.

this fanfic is still ongoing, but i had to drop a review so anyone wondering if they should start reading it knows that they MUST
for me, this is the six of crows sequel. i mean it. this right here is the 3rd book leigh bardugo hasn’t written. it is THAT good.
i know it’s long and can come off as too much, but i promise it is NEVER boring. you won’t regret it. more than 750k words in and i have not been once put off by anything i read, on the contrary, only encouraged to keep reading and reading (and i may or may not be rereading it rn)
everything from the writing style to how characters are portrayed is extremely canon-accurate. the characters sound exactly like they do in the actual books, but the author doesn’t just imitate the books. she gives so many pieces of herself to each character, and she takes into account their personality and their traumas (especially kaz and inej’s, as they’re the main characters; but overall i’d say EVERYONE’S trauma)
the author respects and loves the characters so much and it’s easy to tell. she never puts them in unrealistic situations, and she never rushes anything. the plot, the relationships between characters and their healing processes and many more things are carefully and slowly developed and extremely realistic.
also, this fanfic has its own plot!!!! more heists, more conflicts, new characters and character backgrounds… they are amazing. kaz’s schemes are as good as the ones in the books, if not better and even more complex and risky (kane de vries scheme ifykyk)
I COULD KEEP GOING FOR DAYS ON AND ON THIS BOOK BUT I’LL SUM IT UP: READ IT!!!!! everything missing from the books would be found here. and i mean EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine. right here. seriously, give it a chance.

Technically still ongoing but its already exceeded the length of kingdom of ash and priory of the orange tree and i read all available chapters
Im usually not an AO3 person but I can only recommend this story! It got me out of a reading slump i didn’t know i was in and gave all the characters that I love so much justice. Ill accept most of this as canon after CK.

Ok this is fanfic and is technically still ongoing, BUT I’ve read like 800k words and I’m all caught up and it has to count for something lol 💀
Plus, it is genuinely really really good. Like, best fanfic I have ever read. The author does justice to two of my favorite literary characters and the story is great and it is 100% binge-worthy.
It does get a bit wordy and long-winded at times, (especially with new characters) which is why I’m docking a star. BUT that fact feels almost negligible cuz I’ve loved the story and I’m really impressed with the quality of the writing and the author’s ability to stay authentic to the foundation of the characters even though they grow and change. 10/10 would recommend and I’m so glad there is still more to be released!

Best Kanej fan-fic I have ever read 🫶🏻😭. Major kudos to the author, this is an ongoing fanfic the length of 4 novels but I did not once get bored. If I didn't know any better, I would wholeheartedly say that Leigh wrote this (the highest compliment I could ever give). The immaculate writing, the plot, the EVERYTHING, it's just amazing. The dedication this took to write is crazy. And I cant believe we're in the home stretch!!! Im actually going to kill myself when this ends, this has been like the only constant in my life 💀. I have made it part of my daily routine to check if Dealing With Our Demons has been updated every evening since I first found this story. Its crazy the fits of giggles that seeing a new chapter puts me into. Thats all, I just wanted to say thank you so much on behalf of the kanej community.
