Honor is the sixth book in the Holiday Hotties series and this time it is the Fourth of July that is being celebrated. Honor and Maverick's families live next door to each other and the two were best friend growing up. The night before Maverick left for boot camp they also become something a lot more. With a bottle of wine down by the river they gave each other their V-cards and also their hearts, if truth be told. There were letters back and forth over the years but these two have not seen each other until Maverick walks into the library and returns a dogeared book which Honor remembers well. These two have more sparking fireworks going off between them than the fireworks display in a week. i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the sixth book in the Holiday Hotties series. In this book, Honor works as a librarian in the small town where she grew up. Maverick was her best friend that grew up next door to her. Maverick left to join the military and now returned for a visit a few years later. Maverick found Honor and she was surprised to see him. Maverick wants to be with Honor, but she i happy in the small town and he doesn't know if he is going to return to the military or if he can be happy living in their hometown. Honor loves Maverick and wants to be with him, but she knows he is going to leave again and break her heart. I really enjoyed this book. Both Maverick and Honor loved the other, but thought they wanted different things. I think they were great together and i think Maverick always knew Honor was the one. Another good one.
I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable although it was short. The characters were interesting and likable. Honor's mom was a total crackup. For example: “My baby girl is single. We feed a village if we have to.” She ruffles my hair and winks. “Maverick isn’t the only single man I invited to the BBQ.” Too funny (poor Honor). Honor was sweet, kind, and caring. Maverick was protective and sweet but thinks that he is damaged. Maverick loves Honor and always has. After a steamy reunion between Honor and Maverick, he decided that she deserved better than him. Maverick's decision impacted both of them more than he thought. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

I thought that this was a really sweet book. I loved Honor and Mav together. This was a wonderful second chance, friends to lovers book. I really enjoyed the connection and the chemistry between these two. Things are going really well for these two once Mav shows back up at home but doubts start to over these two. Mav's mother finally sits him down for a little heart to heart and a little hand to head, that causes Mav to finally go after the love of his life. I really enjoyed this book, I can't wait for the rest of the series, and I would recommend it and these two awesome authors.

He comes home on leave to decide if he was going to re enlist or get out. Then he sees her at the library and turns in a book she gave him. What a reunion and he feels guilty, get drunk and is hatful to her. He don't think he's good enough for her, after a week his mother straight him out and give him the ring he bought fir his sweetie. He finds her confesses about his feelings and all us right.
Honor has always loved Maverick. Their lives however were going in two separate directions. Honor was off to college and Maverick was off to the Army. Fast forward to present day Honor is now a librarian in their small town and Maverick has returned to his childhood town. Maverick has to decide if he should reenlist. So it all comes down to this one question is Honor enough to keep him in town forever? I guess you will have to read this book to find out.
A sweet best friends to lovers that will engaged your romantic feels for a short while. Boy next door comes back to town to finish up what was left off with girl next door. A little flirting, a whole lot of chemistry with a tad bit of conflict and all this is wrapped up in a satisfying HEA for the couple. A nice holiday theme romance. Brynn and Ally never fail to bring the goods:)

Sexy sweet novella about claiming your person and determine if they are enough for you.
Like both Honor and Maverick in this story. Although they grew up next to each other, their recent lives have been very different. They try to figure out if their past is a good basis for their future.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Maverick and Honor were childhood sweethearts before he joined the service and she went to university. When Maverick returns, they get together briefly before he pulls away thinking he's not good enough for her. His mother sets him straight and he proposes to Honor. It was a very sweet story.
This was a really quick story, not super in depth, but still a good read. Honor made a good character, she was a bit of a pushover maybe, but they got their hea. No om/ow drama Seemed safe. Wasn't really clear on if they'd been with others, but wasn't really an issue. Would recommend
The author has pulled us into the lives of Honor and Maverick and does not let go. Honor and Maverick grew up next door to each other. She went to college and he entered the military, but now he is back in town and has decisions to make. Will Honor figure into those decisions?

Honor and Maverick were neighbors growing up, were high school sweethearts and after high school they each went their separate ways. She went to college and he went into the military. Now they are both home and the spark is still there. This is a short, sweet, second chance love story with likable characters and a great happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Enjoyed this book a lot. War hero coming home to see family and friends. Maverick needed to see if Honor was still single. His time in the service has created unseen scars in his mind, he thinks he isn't good enough for her. Read the book to see what happens between them. It's a good 4th of July story.
I loved reading about Honor and Maverick. They were such amazing characters and their short story was just great. I am so glad I was able to be a part of their journey and would love to read more about them.
