Stupid romantic dreams aren’t for me. Life has taught me enough to be sure love is a lie to sell diamonds on Valentine’s.
I have everything I want. A stable career, the bank account, amazingly supportive friends, and a fabulous high heels collection.
Until I lay my eyes on him. Evan Hayes.
Panty-dropping gorgeous. Check.
Cocky grin and attitude to match. Check. And check.
That sounds good, right? But I’m six years older, he’s a player… and my brother’s best friend.
An unexpected encounter on a stormy night turns into something else.
Something intense and undeniable.
The lines I carefully drafted around my heart become blurry, all the plans I made for my future are at stake.
Could he be the man who makes me believe?

Blurred Lines is a standalone enemies to lovers and a reverse age gap book. My first book from the author and not my last.

Meet Morgana Hills, Career driven, brilliant, independent woman with flaws such as abandonment issues and not feeling whole. Then walks in Dr. Evan Hayes, who infuriates Morgana.

Evan is sweet and caring and turns Morgana's plans upside down, and pulls her out of her comfort zone. You can’t help but be in awe of him and the things he did and say.

My constructive criticism is as follows. The book is 95% in Morgana POV. I would like to have more of Evan's POV, especially in the beginning. There is a slight repetition in the book. In the end, I did enjoy the book and do recommend it.

It just goes to show you really don't need to give birth to a child to love them with all your heart and soul.
Meet Morgan who is a strong independent woman who has really done well for herself, she found out from a young age that she was born without a uteruses so she knew children biologically would be impossible, she then focuses on her career.
One night she has a new born baby girl dumped outside her property by the dumpster. She names her Hope and whisks her to the emergency room where she meets Evan the pediatrician on duty. They don't hit it off at first but end up being able to fight for Hope and become a family. You find out why the young mum dumped her and also the waste of space sperm donor. Morgan and Evan do end up adopting Hope, this was such a lovely story and gets across the love you feel for a child even if you haven't given birth to them.

Morgan is a stronge independent women and my heart broke for 16 year old Morgan when she got the new on...no spoliers. Thank god sent her a little Hope. Morgan found her little Hope in the rain and she rushed her into hospital. That's even she meant Dr Hayes who called her a spoliet and high mightily women for neglecting a child. Until she explained that she found her in the rain and bought her in for treatment.

THEN the lines start to blur when Morgan's brother Lance catches Dr Hayes and Morgan at each others throats with a cheery "I see you meet Evan" 😂 yes the lines start to blur because he knows Morgan is not a spoiled brate but a hard working women. Then they start to get to know each other and it is adorable & funny.

Evan is a big Elvis fan so get ready for some music recommendations and he learn why he was so harsh with Morgan when they first meet. What I love most about Morgan & Evan they know family is more than blood it's who you meet. Both believes in family and love is very important.

Now there is a character in this book that I feel so sorry for especially when it involves Hope's case. I will not spoil on the who and how they are linked to Hope's story but, it broke my heart. I hope this character gets their happy ending.

☆MUST READ & FAV☆
Looks like Hope will have her own story just like her parents😂
Never read a book like this before especially with Hope & Evan's backstory

This book had me all up in my feels practically from the start. I mean, how could I not be when we are talking sweet babies, alpha doctors, and a romance that was fire?

Prepare your heart now for the emotional tug that happens consistently throughout this story. A sweet innocent baby is found, abandoned, right outside Morgan’s apartment and from that moment on, her heart belongs to that precious little girl.

Then she meets Dr Sexy, or Dr Hayes if we are being professional, I guess. Between both finding Hope and going toe to toe with Dr Hayes from the moment she stepped into the ER demanding attention, Morgan’s world is completely flipped. And in such a fantastic, heart pulling way.

The chemistry between both Morgan and Evan was immediate, it was scorching, and it was so very everything. Everyone needs an Evan in their life. Because dude laid eyes on Morgan and it was over. Done. He knew what he wanted and it was her. And he wasn’t about to let her get away.

BLURRED LINES was a fabulous, well written, quick read. It gets all the stars for the heart melting romance and even for all those secondary characters that have me eager to read their books. I absolutely loved all of them. 5 Stars!!

I LOVED this story. The moment I started reading it I completely devoured it.

Morgana is a hardworking, independent woman. She has walls built up around her to protect her heart and she doesn’t let them down. Evan is caring, charming, swoony. He is a pediatric doctor and just so happens to be friends with Morgana’s brother. I LOVED these two characters. They are completely different from each other, yet together they balance each other perfect. Evan is knocking down Morgana’s walls one brick at a time.

There is so much chemistry between these two characters. The tension in the beginning is fantastic. I love how they brother bring out something in the other. Plus, Evan and Hope…..seriously swoony!! Hope instantly stole not only Morgana and Evan’s hearts, but also mine.

Blurred Lines is such a beautiful story and the characters are ones you just want to root for and you want to have a happy ending, because they both truly deserve it.

If you’re looking for a reverse age gap, opposites attract, enemies to lovers, single parent romance this is one to read!

Blurred Lines is the first book I have read by this author and definitely won’t be my last. I was hooked from the first page until the last. Morgana was a strong, career driven, independent woman, and not looking for a relationship. Evan is a pediatric doctor, and friends with Morgana’s brother. He was so sweet, caring, and I loved how he took care of Morgana, and pushed her out of her comfort zone. I thoroughly enjoyed everything Morgana & Evan’s story and they were so hot together. A terrific age gap romance and one I definitely recommend. I’m looking forward to reading more from this author.

*Triggers - child abandonment*

Yet another perfect rendition of a heartwarming story of love. Full of learning lessons for our couple as they navigate their blossoming romance with a brand new baby left abandoned. The fears of fostering, of an age gap love, of trust come to fruition in this in ways that are so relatable to anyone reading it. This has become my new favorite of Susana’s!

If I had a physical copy of this book, I would burn it while laughing. This book has some of the worst g-d awful writing that I have ever seen and it taking me everything, and I truly mean everything, to be somewhat decently nice.

I dnfed this at 19% through but I wanted to dnf it from the second that I read the first word.

I hate to say this because I will sound misogynistic but the main character is such a bitch. Like genuinely??? Just because you don't have a uterus doesn't make you entitled to the baby that wasn't even dropped on your door step (it was litro dropped in the dumpster behind her apartment and yet she keeps saying it was dropped on her door step??? hello???). You can not be that self imposed, that self absorbent, and that close minded to not understand that this isn't your fucking baby. Obviously the doctor will think that you're a bad parent when you are the one who fucking brought her in??? Is he supposed to assume that you found her? When he's probs dealt with a shit ton of abusive parents??? And you cannot be serious, using the mayor as your way to get the baby into your home? The baby ending up in your arms isn't fate. Its you being a fucking idiot and not understanding that you are delusional.

You know when you can tell a millennial wrote a book? Yeah....

"'I'm not feisty,' I reply, and he lifts his dark eyebrows, 'I'm sassy...'" Case in point. I genuinely threw up in my mouth. I've read a shit ton of weird books, but this got a physical reaction out of me. I am so grateful that I had to search up the authors name on here to get the book because this book needs to be buried. Deep.

Blurred Lines is about a woman, Morgana, who finds a stranded baby outside her home and takes said baby in, and then to the hospital where she meets Doctor Hayes, who we later find out is her brother's best friend—also the man whom her sister-in-law wanted to set her up with.

The book begins quickly with the MC meeting the love interest by the second chapter. I understood their apprehension towards each other, the reasoning which we find out later. They quickly became close after a week or so and their relationship progressed rather quickly, going from a 0 to 100 overnight.

Of course, my opinion differs from everyone else's and I've seen plenty five-star reviews for this book, but just not from me. The relationship developed too fast for my liking, Morgana complained too much over the same thing over and over again and Evan was a hypocrite, more so in the end and Morgana didn't have much of an actual background. We didn't even get a single interaction with her brother—all we know is that his name is Percival Hills.

There are many things I did enjoy, however, such as Evan's character overall—he is charming, determined and has an actual background, Morgana's strong will and determination, and her loving family.

Overall, this was a quick, decent read and I look forward to Hope's story.

I liked the story and the characters of this book. However, I'm a bit confused by Evan's parents, when he introduces them to Morgan they're supposedly in their late seventies which is fine, but the epilogue is 25 years later and they're still alive, I know some people live past 100 but it's not the norm.

Morgana works for the mayor and mostly avoids serious relationships because she has no womb and can't have children and is afraid of relationships failing because men would eventually want some. Fate, or a woman down on her luck, leaves an abandoned newborn on her doorstep, and she ends up at the ER with the baby. She was drunk and she wasn't making the best choices at the time (drunk driving with a poorly secured baby, not informing the social workers or the police) so Dr. Evan Hayes who examines the baby is a bit suspicious of her, and rightly so. This tension doesn't last long as pretty soon they discover that Evan is Morgana's brother's friend and that they have mad sexual chemistry. Morgana wants to foster and adopt baby Hope, and Evan wants to be a part of their lives. Morgana has her hang-ups that don't make it easy for her to trust Evan. A problem with the press and some secrets that Evan is keeping complicate their relationship as well.

This book was billed as an enemies-to-lovers, age-gap romance but it didn't really fit either category in my mind. She is 34, six years older than him but I didn't find that such a significant age difference since they're both working adults and her age related fertility is not relevant. And I would not classify them as enemies. They were a bit rude to each other before they got into each others' pants, that's all, but pretty soon Evan is her fiercest ally in the diaper rally.

This was my first book by Susana Mohel and I would consider reading something else by her. I loved the writing style and I enjoyed the friendships between the characters (some of which have books of their own). The way Morgana blows hot and cold towards Evan is a bit like watching a tennis match, heads turning this way and that. Hot-cold, hot-cold, trying to break up- missing him, trying to break up - missing him. I thought there was a bit too much of that, as it continued long after the point was already made, Morgana was fearful to allow herself to love because she felt defective due to her infertility.

This is mostly Morgana's first person point of view but we get a bit of Evan's first person POV too in a couple of chapters near the end. This felt a bit strange, if you're going to have a dual POV I'd prefer the other one to be introduced earlier and be more balanced. Eventually we find out who caused the problems with the press and it left me a bit confused, I didn't really understand why they did it and what they wanted to achieve. It worked as a plot device to solve an ongoing conflict with Evan but presumably that wasn't the jerk's initial motivation.

Steam level: they have plenty of mutually satisfying sex and sometimes Evan uses sexuality to coax Morgan off her phases of trying to push him away.

I read an ARC version that might yet have been edited before publication but it was pretty well polished already. This is a voluntary review.

What a special love story between Evan and Morgana!

This was a very sweet and loveable short romance read. I really enjoyed the overall plot and the relationship between the two main characters, the love they have for each other, and Hope is just the cutest thing ever. Although we got a bit of a back story on Morgana, it would have been nice to delve into Evan’s back story a bit more too, and generally flesh the book out to give more detail. But all in all, I enjoyed the plot, the world-building, and the characters, and think it is a solid read.

My only main critique would be the pacing of the story. I felt it was quite rushed, especially at the start and the relationship went from zero to a hundred with no real authenticity created. That being said I absolutely love these two together, and think their dynamic is perfect once you get past how fast it all happens!

This was a great first read from Susana Mohel – And I look forward to getting into another one of her books soon.

I received an ARC if this book and this is my honest review.

This is the first book by Susana I have read and it probably won’t be my last.

Blurred Lines is the story of Morgana Hills, a very strong, independent woman who knows what she wants from her life. That is until one fateful night when it all gets turned upside down.

Evan Hayes is a paediatric doctor, drop dead gorgeous, who happens to be Morgan’s brothers best friend, but, when they meet, they don’t realise this!

I enjoyed the storyline, it was very different to what I read before. I found Morgan at times irritating, especially when she didn’t allow Evan to explain things and she just went off. That was immature in my opinion and went against all she stood for.

Although the blurb said Evan was a player, this didn’t come across in the book, maybe he was featured in a previous book about Morgan’s brother that I haven’t read? I liked the secrets he had, one particular one made me realise the empathy he had towards Morgan’s situation.

Just when I thought I knew what was happening, Susana put in a twist that I totally didn’t envisage. Although Morgan yet again jumped straight in, I felt on this occasion she was absolutely right and I would have done the same.

I would have like more chapters from Evan’s POV, just so it was more balanced and I could understand his thought processes more but this is not a criticism.
I enjoyed the epilogue and haven’t read one so far in the future before, but, I can hopefully see who the next book will be focussed on 🤞

All in all a good read that I would recommend.

“Because life makes us walk in cycles. Infinity is a twisted circle. And all of us have a price to pay” - Morgan

Blurred Lines brings us the story of Morgan Hills and Evan Hayes, Morgan’s life hasn't been perfect by any means but her life is what she has made it to be a Goal Diggin Strong independent woman with everything planned out because life can be cruel and you have to fight for what you want, but when she finds something more precious than life itself Morgan's life is turned completely upside down and this is something she wished for but knew it wasn't in the cards for her is it possible that fate had other plans.

Enter Dr. Evan Hayes, a very cocky and arrogant man who judges before knowing the full story. But he comes from the best place, hard to judge someone who has the most caring spirit about him and knows what he wants and goes after it even if it drives the other person completely bonkers.

Can Morgan overcome her battle and Let Evan love her and show her just what it means to be treasured while reaching all your Goals, or will she finally push him out and keep the Precious gift that she found?

Susana, you have done another Phenomenal job with Blurred lines. You had me on the edge of my seat rooting for Morgan and praying she bopped Evan for his crazy antics. Susana is truly an amazing author I Highly recommend her books but keep an eye out. She will surprise you when you least expect it. She writes wonderful amazing stories about Strong Independent women who Make Goals and go after them and find love along the way

So this was my first book by this author and I really enjoyed it 😊

Morgana Hills is a career driven, brilliant, feisty independent woman. But she also has her own issues. Her life seems like its working out just fine for her, until the night it all changes for her. Now her priorities has shifted and even though she wasn’t expecting it she jumped in head first and took the challenge. This is when she meets Dr Evan Hayes. And first impressions… Did not go that well. Not to mention this is the same man that her brother and his wife has been wanting to set her up with.

Evan Hayes was charming, sweet and sexy 😊 He was also a Dr and was focused on finishing his internship. Till the night he meets Morgan Hills who just infuriates him with her bossy ways. But the more time he spends with her the more he falls in love with her. Now he just needs to convince her that she can trust him and that he is there to stay…

I loved it. It was sweet, dramatic, (not too much) sexy and definitely romantic. Evan was hot and charming and just the sweetest ever. Morgana was independent and when she made her mind up about something she stuck to it. Some parts I felt she blew up for no reason but Evan was there to calm her and also to assure her of his affections. I was definitely impressed with this story and looking forward to more of this author 😊♥

3/5⭐️

DNF at 18%

I really was liking how this story was playing out and I can only imagine how cute that baby is. I loved how she took in the baby without hesitation and was so in love with it.

What I didn’t connect with:
- The writing. It seemed wayyyyy to straight forward and not as sophisticated as I prefer. I really tried to stick with it, but once the “enemy” was introduced, I couldn’t do it anymore.
- How does a woman be born without a uterus??? Can I have that??? I thought that was a little unrealistic and once again made me disconnect with the character.
- She just so happens to work for the mayor and has connections?? One of the things about motherhood is the battle of uncertainty and challenges. I felt that if she didn’t work for the mayor who could easily back her up (which did happen) then it could’ve elaborated the storyline more.

There was just so much potential and I don’t know if it was at its best. I mostly felt disconnected from the characters and I couldn’t see myself finishing it out. Maybe I’ll come back and give it another chance. But because of what I liked (and for the benefit of the doubt) I gave it 3 stars.

Morgana Hills is Chief of Staff for the city's Mayor and very focused on her job. She has a good job, money in the bank and isn't looking for a man. After getting together with her friends and drinking a bit much she goes home, goes to bed and hears what she thinks is a cat meowing. So she goes out to the garbage dumpster and finds a newborn baby in a car seat. Talk about sobering up quickly! So she takes the baby to the children's hospital to be checked out and runs into a Dr. Evan Hayes. He happens to be her brother's best friend and the one her brother has been trying to set her up with but she doesn't know that. They butt heads, he's cocky with an attitude to match, gorgeous and younger than Morgana but there's still sparks flying between them.
The lines are blurred but can this little baby girl change her and what about Evan?

Great book that shows the love of fostering a child and steps that you have to go through to make that happen.
I Would love to see a book about Hope.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. It’s an age gap romance with the woman being the older person in the relationship. This is different from books that I normally read for a few reasons and I did really like it. I loved seeing how Morgan went from being super independent who refused to let anyone in and didn’t want a relationship to letting someone in and experiencing love. She never lost her independence but seeing how she finally dropped her guard is something that people can find relatable. Evan helped her face issues and grow as a person in different areas. There were a lot of wholesome moments in this book. This is my first book by this author but I can’t wait to read other books wrote by them. I loved their writing style.

-Evan, Blurred Lines.

When Morgana met the judgmental jerk Evan, she knows nothing will ever be the same again.

When life makes you walk in cycles, what do you do? You face it, and that's what Morgana does, she faces all obstacles to fight for what she loves.

This story make a twist incredibly wonderful where a touch of fate makes love prevail over all things.

You will enjoy and love this story about Evan and Morgana as much as I did.

Thanks Susana for this incredible story 😘

Due to her past Morgana’s main focus in her life has been her career and everything else comes second. When an unexpected gift shows up at door it has her wondering if the dreams she had so long ago could be within in her reach and it brings Evan into her life as well.

Evan is a doctor who meets Morgana under less-than-ideal circumstances however they soon discover that her brother is his best friend. They now find themselves working together to help someone who needs it the most and that is when the sparks fly.

Evan is the perfect mix of sweet and sexy and exactly what Morgana needs in her life. He shows her that there is so much more to life than her career and in the end all that really matters is love and family.

I didn’t hate this book. There were some cute moments and I liked a lot of the family building, but there was a lot that bugged me about this book.

I did not love how antagonistic they were towards each other in the beginning for no apparent reason. They only seemed to hate each other because the plot said they had too.

Morgan’s inner monologue got very repetitive (especially in the first half) she is just constantly going on about how hot Evan is and it gets to be a bit much.

I felt like their relationship went from 0 to 100 overnight and there was. It enough tension/build up.

Lastly the climax at the end get like a big over reaction to me and there were “reveals” that came out of no where.

"I know you're perfectly capable of slaying dragons by yourself, however, I'm asking you to allow me to fight by your side."

This book is romance perfection. Blurred Lines has an old time, slow dancing to Elvis, innocent romance about it. It feels pure and warm and heartwarming. This book had the essence that gave me the stomach flutters and made me catch my breath throughout.

Blurred Lines is the story of high flying career woman Morgan. She finds an abandoned baby outside her bedroom window and starts an emotional journey to give Hope a home and a family. Morgan is prepared to fight and defend to protect this innocent bundle. In doing so Morgan confronts her own emotional scars and learns to accept support and love.

Evan is the younger, but equally career driven, Doctor assigned to Hope's immediate care. Morgan and him are on opposing sides to start. Their attraction grows and they form such a beautiful bond so quickly. This is not so much instalove but insta-blooming-beautiful-family. These three are perfectly fitting and just heartachingly gorgeous.

If you love a proper love story with a gorgeous happy ending and with real emotional depth then I cannot recommend Blurred Lines more highly. I loved every page and every catch of my breath and the romance.

In 'Blurred Lines' we meet Morgana 'Morgan' Hills, Chief of Staff to the mayor and an all around independent woman. Her life isn't perfect by any means but it's what she's made it to be and has fought tooth and nail to be where she is. This career-driven woman's life changes in the blind of an eye when the one thing that she never thought she'd get to have is left in the dumpster outside her window: her little drop of "Hope". During a trip to the hospital she meets Evan Hayes; the sweet and caring pediatric doctor who infuriates her on so many different levels.

I really enjoyed this book. I loved watching Evan tear down Morgan's walls as she navigates an unexpected change of course in her life. This was my first book by Susana Mohel and I can't wait to go back and read the stories of other characters in this book.

I received an ARC of Blurred Lines in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by Susana Mohel and I enjoyed it. My first impression was that the blurb did not accurately depict the content, although it was still an engaging story.

Morgan’s is a very independent career woman who needs to learn to navigate instant motherhood. Evan is the doctor who is there 100% for both Morgan and the baby.

Their instant connection is hampered by personal traumas, work drama and the hazards of being a foster parent. This book has you rooting for the relationship between Morgan and Evan, but also for their continued fostering of baby Hope.

In the end, there is an HEA which is very satisfying. Overall this was a very good read.

Reverse age gap ✔️

Normally, I’m not into reverse age gap book, I prefer when the man is older than the woman. It was my first book by the author and not my last.

Susana Mohel managed to captivate me while reading, spinning the story in an effortless way that made me just go with the flow. Created a solid foundation for the characters and plot development.

Blurred Lines was sweet and funny.

I received a free ARC from Hidden Gems for the promise of an honest review.

Morgan and Evan's story was good. It was written well. Morgan and Evan met when Morgan brung a baby into the emergency room. Evan mistakes Morgan as the baby's mother but Morgan had found the baby by a dumpster behind her house. Morgan ends up fostering the baby and named the baby Hope. Evan turns out to be Morgan's brother's best friend; also Evan is who Morgan's sister-in-law has been trying to set her up with. A chance meeting leads to love and an instant family. Evan and Morgan were able to adopt Hope in the end.

You will like both Evan and Morgan. There is no real drama to the story that will have you guessing at what is going to happen. It is a light and easy read.

Blurred Lines is a reverse age gap romance that was sweet and funny and had me rooting for Dr. Evan from the very beginning. Morgana is a strong independent woman and does not need a man to define her and makes sure everyone knows that. When she finds an unexpected baby her life turns upside down and her brick walls slowly start crumbling down. Dr. Evan, swoon worthy!! Not one to take no easily pushed until nothing was left but a HEA. This was such a great read!
