I recently had the opportunity to be an advanced reader for Ashley Kate Adams new book, "#BYOP Be Your Own Producer" which is currently in presale and will be released on August 10, 2021. Ashley Kate has written a brilliant book chocked full of so much information about creating your own work that you will need to digest this book in sections. At the end of each section, she includes questions and challenges for you to complete. This is such an added bonus as a reader because it causes you to slow down and take inventory of who you are and where you want to go. Ashley Kate shares her experiences from her private and professional life in a truly honest and vulnerable way. As creatives, we sometimes forget to give ourselves permission to create and be who we are and Ashley Kate Adams reminds us that "no one can give you permission to create but yourself." I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to pivot or who needs a gentle reminder that their creativity is in their own hands and they just need to believe in themselves to take the first step.

This is such a wonderful guide for any creative who needs some inspiration on their artistic journey. Ashley Kate Adams has such a warm and conversational tone in the book and you feel like you're reading advice from a good friend who has been there and experienced the same ups and downs over the years. Although I think this would be an especially helpful guide for any recent grads or someone just starting out in the acting/writing/producing/art worlds, wherever you are on your creative path you can definitely take some tips from this book. As a writer myself, I have definitely changed my outlook on my own creative process and goals after reading this!
