Returning from his training with Gold in the strange world of Somerset, Arbor is immediately forced into yet another battle, this time against multiple enemies. Worse, he receives reports of disturbing activity coming from the Goldenleaf Forest and dire warnings of a threat that Laedrin will not be able to handle.

The future holds many uncertainties, the hardest of which comes when Arbor is forced to make a choice between rescuing his sister from herself and keeping the peace in his own lands.

Warning: This book contains mild profanity, gore, and content that may not be appropriate for children.

Not bad but frustrating at times

This book like many of the author’s other books was entertaining but also frustrating. Unfortunately, there are just too many inconsistencies and coincidences to make it a good book. Somehow the good guys get surprised by the bad guys over and over again even though they’re not all that smart. There are just too many things that make no senses. Easily fixed but frustrating to read.

A very frustrating read. All I wanted to actually know was said in the epilogue. Were all the other chapters necessary? Not really.

I am glad the teenage love storyline wasn’t pursued in the end but even to the extent it was featured it was too annoying for me to handle. The author obviously loved his little elf to bits but I didn’t from the very start.

This book was necessary to conclude the lost sister story line but doesn’t add anything to the rest of the books.

The epilogue hints at many more optional books, I am not interested.

A book series that’s worth it

Not much I can say at this point. If you’ve gotten this far then you already know what you’re in for, but if some reason you haven’t, give the series a chance because you won’t regret it.
All in all another great instalment, better than the last as always.

Good

Didn't feel quite as good as the older books in the series but that might be because I just finished reading two jaw dropping good books back to back before this. Either way it's still a good book.

Cliffhanger Galore, but ending still satisfying

Loved the way this ended. Good cliffhanger, great story, and awesome fights. What more could you ask for? Looking forward to the next installment.

Cliffhanger but fun!

A very enjoyable story and great characters BUT IT NEEDS TO CONTINUE!!! It looks like book 5 or more is very slow in the making or his been forgotten and might never be finished (so a forever cliffhanger… 🥲)!

One of the best Lit RPG or fantasy novels in my library! I can't wait to see how it will end. Please add 1000 words.
