A great box set that includes the complete Nantucket Coffee House Series. If you like sweet romances you'll enjoy this series. Life changes for Rachel after she inherits her aunt's coffee house. She's been despondent since her divorce and this gives her hope. She reunites with Jeff and feels that she has a second chance at love. This box set is about new beginnings and second chances. A chance to make up for lost opportunities. The books were well written and had a good flow. Easy reads with likable characters. Emotional and heartwarming this is a great box set that will give you hours of reading pleasure. I read an advance free copy via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to review it.
Although I liked the setting of a small-town atmosphere on a small coastal Massachuttes island, I felt the author was too repetitive with the characters' internal thoughts. Rachel constantly bemoaned her unhappy marriage and divorce, while Jeff was always planning to go see Rachel, but not wanting to be obvious and of course always conscious of being the only plumber on the island. Likewise, Emily was so very lonely for true love but she very much disliked the odd man Justin, while Justin was closed off to everyone because his mother had left him and his father. Ditto for the other two tales. The four stories were ok but had a pedantic feel that turned on a dime to a happy ending.
I hate to give a less than positive review, but this set of books was far from being a favorite. I'm not sure why I kept reading except the story lines themselves were not bad. There was so much repetition ...saying the same things but just using different words. I found myself skimming through paragraphs. The describing of emotions and feelings were something a juvenile might write. Since when does someone in their forties describe their feelings as crushing or having "a crush" on someone (just one example). No, I would not recommend this boxed set of books to anyone who is a serious reader. Don t waste your time. I did!
I like short reads, but I got this set through Kindle Unlimited and I can’t believe the amount of misspelled words, the mix up of characters, and other grammatical and theme based errors that were in this set. New editors needed!
I loved the first book and was excited to have the whole series in on set! This is my review of the first book...This is heartfelt second chance romance. Rachel has returned to Nantucket to take over the shop after her beloved grandmother passes. Rachel is sad, but welcomes the change of scenery away from her messy life. Jeff was her summertime best friend, but neither ever told the other how they felt. They both have pasts that trouble them, but Jeff is determined to not let Rachel go again. I loved the back story, the drama and the relationship they begin to build. Such an great book and the rest is more of the same! I received this ARC from Bad Boy Updates.
I really enjoyed this series . I enjoyed all the characters and their life's , it felt like real life issues and new beginnings for them all . Nantucket seems to be a peaceful place to live and everyone 's family . Each story drawers you into their lives and you want to be a part of this island town . What a great place to visit and get to know everyone. Perfect read any time of year .
I totally enjoy this book from the very beginning, even though it was broken up into several stories. The characters remained throughout the entire series of books. Feelings were expressed beautifully, and the reader fell in love when the characters in the book did. At first, it was slow reading, but I never give up on a bookand I’m so glad I stayed with this one.
I very much enjoyed the Nantucket Coffee House Series and storyline. HOW EVER, why wasn't this series proofread!!!!! It was riddled with errors. From spelling to dropped words and letters to sentences with the wrong persons name in them, etc etc. Sabrina is a good author, loved her writing style, but who ever edited this did her a great disservice.
Rachel inherits her grandmother’s coffee shop and the boy she spent summers with never left. Jeff is still there. With Rachel divorced, they get a second chance.
This sweet second chance romance has a great storyline with some emotions and the characters were well developed. Rachel gets a divorce from her controlling ex and finds out that she inherited her grandmother's coffee house. She later reconnects with Jeff and they chemistry is still there.
Quick reads as they are short books around people who live in Nantucket. The characters make you feel like part of the town. The stories are cute but kind of ramble around the same topic of falling in love. A good beach read!
The stories were too predictable...and didn’t progress quickly. There were pages upon pages of the characters going over the same thing. Too simplistic for me.
