She is and will be until her time comes, the warlock queen. ~Cypher, the warlock king.
Peace has come amid the storm. But the cost by which that peace was earned was great—the lives of the Romanian pack alphas, and Cypher, king of the warlocks. Now, the Great Luna has declared a period of mourning, allowing her children a brief respite in their battle against the Order of the Burning Claw. A violation of the command means certain death. But peace doesn’t extend to everyone. Lilly Pierce, the surviving widow of the warlock king, must now take his place as the leader of the warlock race. Unfortunately, she’s in no condition to do it. Her heart has been shattered. Lilly has found love twice in her life, and both times, it’s been ripped away. Now, the warlock clans are looking to their new queen for guidance or waiting for her to falter. To keep her throne, Lilly will have to prove she’s worthy of it, or risk losing more than just her title. The last thing the queen needs in her grief-stricken state is to start hallucinating...
Murderer. Traitor. Outlaw. These are just a few of the words that describe, Myanin, the disgraced djinn warrior. And for a time, those words didn’t bother her. But as the djinn becomes more acquainted with the inner workings of the Order of the Burning Claw, she begins to understand how truly evil her fellow supernaturals can be. Is that really the person she wants to be? Is that the life she wants to lead? Not long ago, Myanin would have done anything to get back at her former lover, Thadrick, including murder. But an encounter with her Creator has the djinn questioning everything, including whether she is beyond redemption.
Two women, both suffering loss, both languishing in their misery, both faced with impossible choices. Is it possible the queen and the djinn could find salvation in one another?
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
Quinn never fails to pull you back into the Grey Wolves World and make you feel as you never left. The Warlock Queen was heartwarming, heartbreaking and healing all in one. The growth and strength of characters was powerful. The way she writes these characters makes you feel like your part of the pack I laughed with them, cried, raged for retribution and thanked the great Luna for her kindness she showed and redemption she gave. The GWS is not only my favorite series with an epic storyline but the way Quinn writes making the supernatural and reality worlds so relatable is so inspiring. I get so many lessons out of these books. Lilly's strength and The Great Lunas wisdom is something to apply to life. Well done Quinn! Thank you for TWQ and letting us be there with Lilly to mourn her mate and see her grow into a magnificent Queen!
I ask myself over and over again, aren't you sick of the word 'mate' already? WELL, GEE, BOOKSY, OF COURSE I'M SICK OF IT. WHY DO YOU THINK I'VE READ 12 BOOKS OF THE SAME GOSHDARNED WEREWOLF SERIES. WHERE EVERYONE HAS INSTA LOVE WHICH YOU HATE BUT THEN THE SARCASM AND WITTY COMEBACKS ACT LIKE A FREAKING MAGNET. YOU THINK I FEEL HAPPY WHILST READING THIS? HAHAHA, NO. WHY DO YOU THINK I'M ALREADY DOWNLOADING BOOK 14? -
Oh what can I say...... Quinn Loftis is a amazing author who has brought us into the amazing supernatural world she has created!!!! Warlock Queen did not disappoint!!! This is a must read!!!!! I absolutely loved it 😍 . This book will keep you captivated and on the edge of your seat the entire time you won't want to put it down! You finally get to know Lilly and Myanin better. You will laugh, cry, and say what the hell, are you kidding me and so many other things but once it's over you will be craving more and have so many questions only to realize you have to wait for the next book to come out to get the answers you so desperately want.
Incredible job by Quinn. She seriously hits it out of the park every single time. Lilly is amazing and I loved learning more about her. And of course, the moments with Peri are always epic. Peri fairy as Jen would say is my favorite.
OMGosh, I love this series. I have wanted to read more about Lily as the Queen since she and cyphur got together and this story did not disappoint. I'm not going to give any details of the story away but, I will say that this was so worth the wait. The author did a phenomenal job and I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the journey. Well done to the author and I look forward to seeing what is in store for the characters next.
I ordered this book and also had the honor of being an ARC. If Quinn Loftis writes it, I want to read it. If you are a part of the Loftis Pack, then you will enjoy every moment of The Warlock Queen. If you have never read any of the Grey Wolves, you can read this one and still enjoy the entire book without knowing all of the backstory. However, you will want to go back and get all of the other books, because you will want to learn more about all of these characters.
The Warlock Queen feels like a comfortable friend has come to visit but the visit is not always so comfortable. You have to be willing to stand with your friend to face the negative forces, cry with your friend and in the end you will laugh with your friend. If you are familiar with Biblical scripture, you will recognize some parallels in the story.
Loftis takes you back to the beginning for one couple (Lilly and Dillon) and then takes you forward in Lilly's story. We can see three generations of family and friends and recognize why it is important to fight for what is right. As the new queen, Lilly must prove herself. It won't be easy and she won't be alone. Perhaps that has been the moral of every Loftis book. We are not alone in our struggles. We make our own mistakes (you have to own your stuff), but with Quinn's books, you recognize that even when you mess up, there is a way forward. It will be up to each person or creature to make that move forward.
This book has the warlocks, pixies, fae, trolls, vampires, werewolves, and djinn. The three BFFs make an appearance and of course the furballs are never far behind. Peri is everywhere because she can't sit still. The Great Luna makes many visits. She has to. Her people have been through some of the worst moments of their existence. Her presence is needed. She is giving them a time of rest, but as we know, evil don't take time off. So, there's just enough excitement to keep you on your toes.
The Warlock Queen is the rest we needed after Alpha Rising. It is the story that has been waiting to be told and it is the bridge that will take the story forward. Five stars.
This book is PHENOMENAL QUINN!! I loved it so much! I was laughing, sobbing and screaming all at the same time. COTTON CANDY should be a new snack for the pack! Thank you for choosing me to be an ARC Reader can’t wait for the next one!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Warlock Queen is a book that will leave you feeling hope. Pure unadulterated hope. We meet some new characters and we learn more about the old. Nothing is as it seems, as the book is filled with character arcs and morally grey characters. But at the end of the day, the book is about our Creators merciful and unconditional love.
I loved seeing this new side of Lily, and meeting Myanin and Tenia. We learn so much more about the world, and the inter relational workings amongst the supernaturals. The Great Luna is no longer a silent character, and we see her throughout the book enacting her plans.
I can't even begin to describe the feelings of pain and sorrow I went through while reading Alpha Rising. Nothing could have quite prepared me for the outcome there. This next installment in a series that I hold so close to my heart has been beautiful to say the least. Peri, who is my spirit animal, always knows the right things to say and I couldn't be happier than I am seeing her connection to Lilly grow. Every book in this series was amazing, the ups and downs, the pain and joy. The characters become a part of your life, and if you are anything like me, you will be thirsty for more after this book ends. I can not wait for another wild ride with the pack. Thank you Quinn for helping me escape the humdrum of real life and visiting your characters. I know my life will never be boring when I have one of your books to read.
Quinn has yet again KILLED it! Be prepared to cry so very much in those first few chapters and yet again later on! I have fell in LOVE with this series! I am so incredibly excited to fall more in love with Lilly the bad A** mom that she is! It’s hard not to love her, but this book will have you all in the feels! Also it’s so nice to get a refreshing look at some of the characters! As Quinn has said, is ANYONE truly not redeemable! This book will have you questioning so much! So excited to have been able to gobble it up, tears, laughter, and smiles as always!
Quinn thank you for being incredible and keeping us in love with this series ❤️
*Reviewed as ARC* As always, an excellent follow on in the Grey Wolves series. Quinn’s storytelling just gets better and better with each book. This story I’d say is written slightly differently, there’s a lot more internal dialogue and a lot more deep insight into the characters it follows than previously. The main series storyline covers a lot and it felt like the pace was a bit calmer in the Warlock Queen which was really refreshing and appropriate given the ending of the Alpha Rising (looking forward to getting back to the usual banter in the next book though!) I’d recommend reading only if you have read the rest of the series and you will not enjoy it as much if you haven’t.
After Alpha Rising and mourning over the events that occurred for a seemingly unhealthy amount of time, I thought that my tear ducts would be given a reprieve in this book. Ha, nope! I found myself falling apart all over again at the prologue, and then again in Chapter 3. And over and over again as the book progressed. This book was a mixture of healing and heartache. Retribution and reprieve. Yet, it allowed some semblance of closure and the promise for new beginnings. Overall, was a great continuation of the Grey Wolf Series and I cant wait to see what more we will get to see in the future.
I have read all the books in this series and Quinn Loftis did not disappoint with this book! Such a great read! I cried, I laughed and I felt the emotions these characters are going through.
This book grabs your attention from the very first page. Better grab some tissues because you are going to need them. It is an emotional ride that Quinn puts you through but it is worth the read!
Lilly goes through periods of grief but proves that she is the Warlock Queen. Different characters go through their trials and tribulations and try to overcome them. I definitely loved the epilogue and shows that some things go back to normal.
Definitely can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Quinn did it again, after the emotional rollercoaster, that was Alpha Rising. The Warlock queen did an amazing job at showing dynamics of the Characters that we all know and love and how loss affects them. The Warlock queen is all about acceptance, grief, and healing, and it is beautifully written, and Quinn knocked it out of the park.
A balm to soothe an open wound....The Warlock Queen gives us so much in terms of love and acceptance.
Lilly's story started so long ago and we see just how much she has been through and how strong and capable she truly is. The bravery and strength that carried Lilly to where she is now will be her backbone as she reminds some and shows others just why she belongs where she does. It's not without incredible heartbreak and despair that Lilly pushed through the dark to be the light that shines for her people, the Warlocks. Watching her raw and broken pulled on my heart and I was in her feelings with her as she painstakingly pieced herself back together...with a little bit of help from her friends, of course. I can't wait to see her continued growth as Queen.
Myanin, a story as old as time; hell hath no fury like a women scorned. The depth at which Myanin fell to attempt to bandage wounds that would not heal as she thought was astounding. My favorite thing about her story was watching Myanin recognize her back was to her Creator and then struggle internally with who she was and who she wanted to be. The realistic loop in which we judge and condemn ourselves was spot on. Do we ever truly feel like we deserve redemption? I really rallied behind Myanin as she took her journey in this book and wanted nothing more than for her to enjoy her cotton candy.
A great addition to the series, The Warlock Queen, brings us heartache, love and redemption. Finding acceptance in ourselves but putting trust in others too. For the pack.
*thank you to Quinn Loftis for providing a review copy*
I love Lilly so much!!! The last book literally broke my heart, but I'm so glad that Lilly came into her own. I also love seeing some characters from the last book and getting to know them some more.
I will say that I'm super happy that Quinn Loftis and the Great Luna both have soul mate in mind for each of her children. This is me hoping that everything works out.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC for this book, and it did not disappoint! If you’re a fan of the Grey Wolves/Gypsy Healer series, you absolutely MUST read The Warlock Queen.
After the events of Alpha Rising, the Great Luna has designated a time of peace to allow her loyal supernaturals a proper mourning period. But that doesn’t mean this book is without drama! We see Lilly step into her role as Queen of the Warlocks, learn what the Order is cooking up, visit old favorites like Jacque, Jen, and Sally to see how they’re coping (and for a bit of comic relief of course), and uncover some exciting new developments along the way. The Warlock Queen focuses on the aftermath of loss, the pain and relief forgiveness can bring, the strength of friendship, and the grey area between good and evil. All of this is delivered in another beautifully written story by Quinn Loftis. I may have to do a reread of the series while I not-so-patiently wait for the next book.
P.S. I promise it is not as heartbreaking as the previous book, but there are definitely some tender moments. So grab your wine, some snacks, and get cozy because you’re not going to want to put this book down!
I was so excited to get this book! (preordered on Nook) Lilly is a beautiful character. Her story is more explained. I will not spoil and give juicy tidbits however i will say there is some crazy. Quinn always delivers and draws us in. The grief that our Pack is going through, the lessons that must be learned, and more visits from the Goddess. Then to break it all up and give us laughter in all of it with a side of badassery (Jen approved). I am always left craving more.
I had the amazing opportunity to be an arc reader for The Warlock Queen and let me tell you Quinn did not disappoint! I have been reading The Grey Wolves series since 2012. After 12 phenomenal books, 5 books in the Gypsy healer series and 3 novellas I didn’t think Quinn could do anything else to surprise me and pull out all my emotions. I’ve read through character deaths, sacrifices, wars, fights, cliffhangers and most recently the emotional roller coaster that was book 12 (Alpha Rising) but some how Quinn managed to surprise me and take the story in a way I never expected. After all this time I still can’t predict what will happen in any of the books and I also can’t get enough of them!
The Warlock Queen was emotional, heartfelt and the perfect book after everything that took place previously. In the prologue alone it will grab your full attention and keep it the entire time. Page after page will excite you, make you laugh, cry and possibly go a little crazy from no sleep. Once you start this book (or any of Quinn’s books) it’s almost impossible to put them down.
Quinn, thank you for the honor of letting me be an ARC reader for this book and for all the dedication and love you have put into each book. I can not wait to see what happens next and to re read The Warlock Queen when it officially comes out!
“The Warlock Queen” by Quinn Loftis, is the most recent book from “The Grey Wolves” series. I have read all of the books in the aforementioned series and have not ever been disappointed with any of them, this one was no exception.
“The Warlock Queen” takes us on a journey of depth and insight mainly focusing on two sidelined characters in previous books. It is a deeply emotional and heartfelt story for each of the characters. It touches on the beginnings and endings of relationships, grieving the loss of loved ones, unlikely new alliances, unexpected new matings, betrayals, redemption, accepting your destiny and fate, friendships and most importantly love. I would love to give you more details about this book but I do not want to spoil it for those who have not read it yet.
Quinn Loftis did not disappoint with this book, she has a way of writing that brings the book to life. She is very descriptive of characters, places and emotions, it feels as though you are right there with them, living in the same magical supernatural world that she has created and feeling every emotion the characters do. Quinn, is a very talented author, not many authors can make you feel like you hit the pause button on a movie when you put your book away, which is how I feel every time I read one of her books. If you enjoy laughing and crying along with characters in books, this is definitely one to get.
Once again Quinn blew me away with her ability to put me in the story and to make me feel every emotion as if it were happening to me. After the events in Alpha Rising I wasn't sure what to expect from The Warlock Queen, but as usual Quinn didn't disappoint.
We go through this book grieving with our pack. Wounds not fully healed will reopen as we learn how to move on without our Alphas and help Lilly grieve her soulmate.
We make new friends along the way as we wonder what our enemies are doing during our appointed mourning time.
People will be tested, in more ways than one, but at the end of the day pack always has your back!
I have been a long time fan of the grey wolves series and as each book comes out my obsession grows and the books just seem to keep getting better. This book follows some different characters as we see how they are coping after the events of Alpha Rising. We do get to see our favorite trio make some appearances but it was nice to spend some time getting to know other characters better. We get some flashbacks of past events that give us an insight to past relationships. We get to see Lilly become the Queen she's meant to be. And we some friendships become even stronger as they lean on each other to get through their grief. I can't wait to see what Quinn has in store for our pack in the next book!
Well colour me happy...cotton Candy & all! It’s safe to say you can all put away your tissues, well, mostly anyway! TWQ was fantastic from start to finish! We see the complete metamorphosis of Lily Pierce Mother, grandmother, Sprite, wife tragically widowed who is now Queen of the Warlocks! I really loved how Quinn has fleshed out many of the characters that were introduced in Alpha Rising! New friendships and allegiances are made, some you probably won’t expect & may have quite an opinion on, lol...devilish deeds are definitely done...what do you expect from a clash amongst the supernaturals?! All the while preparations on both sides are being made for the the coming war with the Order of The Burning Claw..but, between you & me...if I were them , I’d be a little less cocky! They have a really peeved Certain Fae we all know & love, a New Alpha to rival even his own father, Jen..no more needs to be said..& A Warlock Queen who has in her own right become a VERY formidable woman & leader...my advice you bunch of sadists...RUN! Mwauhahahaha! Way to go Quinn, you’ve done it again! Ummm, when’s the next instalment being released did you say?!
Disclaimer: this is an ARC review but all thoughts and opinions are my own and completely genuine.
At some point I’m going to stop being so shocked when Quinn produces a masterpiece! The Warlock Queen is everything I ever wanted and so much more. Any lovers of the Grey Wolves series are in for an absolute treat when they read TWQ. We get to delve into Lilly Pierce’s history with Dillion Jacobs (something I’ve been dying for since book 1). We finally get to see more of Tanya Jacobs’ (Dillion’s mate) feelings.
We see how the Great Luna is truly there for her children and encourages their redemption. Myanin, her love for cotton candy, and quest for inner peace is present throughout the book. Of course Peri Fairy is there zapping people because where else would she be? And speaking of the Great Luna, I loved her constant presence.
The continuation of The Grey Wolves was amazing and the perfect book for the few months of peace that the Great Luna declared at the end of Alpha Rising. I can’t wait for the next one. Thank you Quinn for giving me a world to escape to 🤗🥰.
Do NOT hesitate to purchase this book, you will not regret it.
I had the most Amazing opportunity to be a ARC read for this book( The Warlock Queen being the 13 book in this series) and let me tell you Quinn did not disappoint in the writing of this book !!!!! The Gary wolf's series All 12 of these books are phenomenal book ( all of Quinn's books are) . Quinn has the ability to make the character in her book to come alive for you as you read them . You will fall in love with the whole series of these book
With The Warlock Queen you will get to laugh, cry, and get angry at the character --and a few of the character you will be say right along with them Oh girl you go get them and show them how its done. With all of Quinn's book you find it almost impossible to put them down .
Quinn I want to thank you for allowing me to be one of ARC reads for this book . I see with each and very book that you have wrote (and I have devoured )How much love and commitment, you have for each and very book You Quinn Loftis are a very Amazing and phenomenal Book writer
The Warlock Queen was amazing. I read everything Quinn Loftis writes. I was lucky to receive an ARC of this book. You WILL want it! You WILL devoure it! This is book 13. Our pack is left in a state of mourning. The Great Luna has made declarations and has many appearances in this book which show her love and grace for her creations. The struggle is never far in Quinn's books but they always band together, show us that you can overcome the evil in the world with the love of your family and friends. Lilly is faced with difficult circumstances, her pain felt like my pain and I just wanted to hug her. I wish I could flash like the fae to her mountain. This book has some more characters views than we normally see and that was great. Our 3 friends and their furballs, not to mention our favorite Fae, Peri are all included. You will laugh and cry, you will be outraged on their behalf, and most importantly you will feel like these characters are right in front of you. That you live in the magical world and you will not want to leave. This book is a great transition for what I think we come later. Don't miss it!!
Well firstly 5 stars is not enough, this book deserves alot more. I was given the honor of reading this as an ARC!! Well Quinn Loftis has done it again, another fantastic read. It had been an emotional roller coaster, I have had tears, lots of fits of giggles as I have followed Lily on her journey!
If you are reading this and have finished alpha rising, you will understand the emotional trauma of that book. So we started by following Lily through her ordeal and seen how she soon become a queen!!
I loved everything about this book, but as usual it's the characters, I find myself becoming attached to them and wanting more. I feel like I am right there with them. Peri and Lily interactions were amazing!!
I know everyone will love this next installment of the grey wolves series. Quinn never disappoints.
Thank you once again Quinn for a fab read and allowing me the honor of being one of the ARC readers. Please keep this series going. I, for one want more, I love all our usual gang but would love more from other packs, such as Dillion - jacqulyn's father please.
A************ for TWQ everyone who is reading this review go and pre order now!!
Quinn Loftis does it again! I had the great privilege of being an ARC reader for this book. I love reading and have read many books, but I don’t often come across books that hold my attention like Quinn’s do! The Warlock Queen is a phenomenal continuation of the Grey Wolves Series. Quinn’s writing pulls you into another world! You see what the characters see, you feel what the characters feel and you are left wanting more. A story of multiple lives that could never be told better. Each character boldly written, carrying their strength, flaws and emotions through each page, letting you learn who each character is and who they want to be. I feel like this book was a perfect addition to the series, letting the reader continue the journey with new beginnings and learning some of the past. I adore the original characters and can’t wait to see what happens with the newer characters we’ve been introduced to! I can’t wait for the next book!
I am absolutely in love with this series.... every book just gets better and better, and I become more immersed in this wonderful series. A huge Thank You to the talented Quinn Loftis for an arc copy of this book.
So we’re back with the gang, after the heartbreak of the last instalment, Alpha Rising, this book also had me ugly crying, reading about the characters dealing with the loss of losing their loved ones, but there’s also laughter to be had whenever Peri is around. This time, we’re with the newly appointed Warlock Queen, Lily Pierce, who after losing Cypher is now ruling the warlocks. It’s not plain sailing, but with her pack behind her, and the help of some new friends, she’s on the right path. On a side note, I really love that some characters are becoming more than their previous actions.
Book thirteen of the magnificent grey wolves series by the talented storyteller Quinn Loftis. This is a fantastic book that focuses Lilly Pierce whose mate Cypher the warlock king perished in the previous book. She’s now the queen and mourning her loss and trying to adjust to being the queen of the warlocks she must deal with her grieving and prove to her people that’s she’s deserving to be their queen. Myanin the traitor female djinn that joined the order of the burning claw begins a journey of self reflection and making a mends for her horrifying decisions. I loved reading this book it was absolutely fantastic I definitely recommend reading this book and this series.
