TJ Logan is an award-winning author of romantic suspense anchored by strong themes of family, honor, and loyalty. Her writing journey began in 2012, when a bunch of strange voices popped into her head.

Hoping to exorcise the craziness, she started typing, which simply ushered in more—as if she’d cracked open some sort of portal for fictional characters to charge through. And boy did they ever!

She grew up in a military family, lived all over the country, and was surrounded by five brothers … and, shockingly, lived to tell about it. She was also a key member of a team that managed a secret program for one of the world’s top defense companies. All of these things have given TJ an interesting perspective on life. And every bit of it goes into her writing!

Family, Honor, and Loyalty aren’t just words in a tagline to TJ. They are everything.

Deadly Apprentice is the fifth book in the O'Halleran Security Series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. This book could be read as a stand alone e, but I highly recommend that you read the whole series. You won't be disappointed. The main characters in this book are Mathias and Beatrice and they are both dealing with issues from their past. This book has all the elements I enjoy in a romantic suspense story. It has the perfect blend of heartwarming moments and humor. I love the combination of strong family ties, romance, and the adorable dog, Shadow. Someone is killing Veterans and the team at O'Halleran are on the job to solve these killings. Once the matriarch of the family is threatened, there is no quitting to bring the murderer to justice.
I loved Beatrice and Mathais' story and continuing to learn what's new with the family already introduced in previous books. Beatrice has issues being in large crowds and Mathais family is really big and welcoming. Mathais is dealing with guilt from his final days on the police force that ended with death of a young child.
This is a fast paced and very well written book. Do your self a favor and get this series of books. I can't wait for the next book.

BIG SPOILER

I really like the general story and Mathias and Beatrice. The cop with nightmares and the geeky scientist who doesn't know how to deal with him.

My big issue is the way the villiant is shown. Sorry for the spoiler here but it becomes clear right at the beginning of the book so I am not spoiling too much.
You know about him from the start, there is no suspense who did it, no discoveries along the way. I don't mind spoilers, I often look up the end of a book before reading but the way the killer opened up and basically told his story was taken too much enjoyment out of the book.

It was interesting to follow the way he was unmasked though.

What a fabulous book. I couldn’t put it down. I usually do a re-read of prior books in the series before starting the new one but my TBR pile is so large I skipped that step. But now I have to go back to the others because I was reminded of how good they were. You can’t go wrong reading this book or this entire series. Well I’m off to start my reread.

Another great read! Great Characters, lots of suspense, action, danger, romance some twists and turns some I saw coming some I didn't.

This is Mathias O’Halleran and Dr. Beatrice Rose Parker story. Mathias is a computer geek and Dr. Parker is a renowned forensic pathologist. I really liked both characters

One this I really liked that the author did was besides getting Mathias and Beatrice's story is that we get the serial killers story as well. It made the story more fascinating and was one of the reasons I didn't want to stop reading, when I needed to for the night. I am really liking this series. I have only read a couple of the books so far but I want to read them all.

**SPOILERS** This book was my first book by this author and it was a very good and exciting thriller book. The cast of characters were a big family that was easy to relate to and that was a close family who took care of their own. The thriller in this book was believable and exciting at the same time and I found myself being scared for several people’s lives at different times while reading the book. The two main characters in the book who are the love interests, I found myself rooting for them also as they were also *just perfect* together and the addition of Shadow was just the right touch!

This book is amazing! It's the fifth book in the series, but my first in the series, and first from this author. I was able to follow along the story, without having read the other books first. Early in the book, we find out who the serial killer is - that was easy enough - but many of his actions are unexpected. The characters are great, and I love the closeness of the O'Halleran family. Beatrice is smart, and taking advantage of the great opportunity with her new job. Mathias has met his match with her. I'm looking forward to more from this author. I thoroughly enjoyed Mathias and Beatrice’s book...he’s a complete computer geek and she’s a phenomenal forensic pathologist....both jobs are really intense but also once on a case they forget everything around them....which can lead to complications! This storyline gives you the serial killer’s story too....which was unusual but intriguing. Can they piece together all the clues before the killer strikes close to home?
Thoroughly enjoyed this suspenseful security and romance novel. If you’re a fan of this series you won’t be disappointed.

Deadly Apprentice by T.J. Logan
As with the preceding four books in the O’Halleran Security International series, this book does not disappoint. The characters were great. The story line was fantastic. Do yourself a favor, pick up this book and settle in for a great read. You won’t be disappointed. This book can be read as a stand-alone. However, you will want to read all of the books in this series. They are really just that good!

a renowned psychiatrist specializing in serial killers has a frightening client who shares"dreams" of kills

can the team at O'Halleran Security stop him before he strikes again, this time possibly at one of their own?

Dr Parker joins the team as a forensic scientist. A possible love connection for one of the twins, if they can work their ways past their respective past traumas and demons

Intense drama, action and steamy romance

This is the 3rd book I've read written by TJ Logan; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the 5th book in O’Halleran Security International Series; it is a stand-alone book. Beatrice is a forensic pathologist whos trying to figure out who is killing military heroes before he strikes again. Mathias is a ex-cop; he resigned from his job in order to open a security company so there aren’t as many rules to follow so he can solve the murders of the military heroes.

A delightful addition to the O'Halleran series. You'll love getting to know shy Dr Beatrice Parker who prefers to stay in her lab rather than interact with strangers. But she is no match for the exuberant O' Hallerans, especially Mathias. As the group races to catch a deranged killer, Beatrice becomes an integral part of the team. Hold on to your hats with the added twists that TJ Logan puts in every book. You're gonna love it.

Deadly Apprentice was an edge of your seat, page turner from start to finish. I loved the main characters and especially the O'Halleran family dynamics. The author did a great job with the pacing of the story including the suspense and romance aspects. This is the first I've read from T. J. Logan and am eager to read the rest of the series.

I really liked Beatrice’s character. You can see how smart and driven she is, and as she tries to discover who the killer is, it’s a fight to the finish and one exciting ride. The way that this book is written captures you attention and after the first 3 chapters, I was hooked

Mathias and Beatrice have a bumpy road in front of them if they are going to catch a killer and find each other. TJ Logan takes us down another dark path in search of another serial killer. For fans of procedural crime dramas with a helping of steamy romance. Sharp, observant writing with a killer you'll love to hate.

Another crazy serial

Mathias was a former cop till one day he couldn't save a 4 yr old girl from a sex offender due to all the red tape. When he quit, he went to work for OSI, and that's when he met the new forensic pathologist, Dr Beatrice . Together, they fell in love quickly, but they both had a past to overcome.

Time for one of the twins to find love. Matthias falls for Beatrice — the newest team member. Interesting story about a crazed lunatic going after military Veterans. Always great to see the family and friends come together for work and play!

I thoroughly enjoyed the latest instalment of this engaging, and riveting story. There was a time towards the end when I was worried for Mr O'Halleran senior, with this particular serial killer.
