Reading romance has always been better than actually watching it. I remember when I read my first romance book. It was an incredible experience, I could really imagine everything going in my head and then my body was just so desperate to read more of it. I was addicted to that experience but I couldn't get more of it until the recent one I read. The book is called " Hunter". Here's my experience.
I usually start with the title and the cover of the book because I feel that's the most exposed part of the book to the viewer's eyes. When it comes to "Hunter" it has that alpha male character as its cover which definitely attracts the attention of romance readers.
Talking about the content and story of the book, being a short read of about 40 pages the story has an impeccable experience to offer. The main characters of the story are Hunter and Abigail. The story revolves around these two characters. The story being a simple one has comparatively less elements of twists but the story over does in the details and description of the situation. The story goes pretty simple as Hunter helps Abigail while she was beaten up by her ex husband, he called the emergency services to get control over the situation but at the same time the physical description of Abigail and Hunter in the book could make any reader go mad. The story progresses where the Hunter goes to hospital to see Abigail and then it was the flirting that was playing with the readers mind. However I wish to see more of this part in more stories I read, often it is that writers show less of this part. Personally I love the point where both male and female are attracted to each other and the flirt that is somewhat a great moment and comebacks is what I personally crave for, the book had those but I would love to read more in future from the author. Then tge the thing about the book which gave the memorable experience was the Steamy scene at Hunter's house. It was so hot that I could feel every single feeling, my body was full of desire. The point that enhanced the feeling was the description of every short detail. I would definitely recommend it to all the romance reader and would like to thank the author for giving me such an experience through the book. At the same time I would congratulate the author on the achievement that the words of the story were amazingly translated into the feelings which is difficult to achieve. So what are you guys waiting for go grab your copy fast.

Hunter and Abigail's Story . . .
Hunter has noticed a beautiful woman in his self-defense class he took over for Conner when their baby arrived. But when he learned she was part of a group for battered women, he did not approach her, fearing his size could scare her. But one day, he heard a scream and found a man kicking a woman he had knocked to the ground. His yell scared the coward off and the ambulance took her to the hospital.
Abigail Williams thought she was rid of her ex-husband abuser, but Max caught her in the parking lot and attacked her. He went to visit her and answering her question whether he was a fighter, told her he was an ex-marine and manages a bar now. He gently stroked the back of her hand and she didn’t flinch. She paid attention, but so far she trusted him, and he told her she would be seeing him again.
Abigail was friends with Sophie and Sophie got hold of Max’s arrest records. He was in financial trouble with drug dealers and she was afraid they would come after Abigail for the money. Now Sophie was asking if he would give her a place to stay and he definitely had the ability to protect her. He was already attracted to her and didn’t think that was a good idea to take her to his home. But Conner has the new baby and Sophie didn’t want to send Abigail there.
When Abigail had healed, Hunter and Conner worked on a plan to draw Max out to come after Hunter. He would never again get to hurt Abigail. But would his plan work? When Max brings along 10 men against him, is he ready to take them down? Will Hunter keep his promise to protect Abigail no matter what? And if they get through this, are they ready to find their own HEA?

This book hit home a little for me. I won't get into details but just WOW. I love how Hunter refrained from reaching out to Abigail and respected her space once he heard of her past and admired her from afar, until the time was right. And then from the moment he had interacted with her, he was her protector, not letting anyone hurt her again. Hunter is sweet and caring, but very much the alpha male when necessary. K.L. Stephens did it again. She made me fall in love, in a short but addicting book. I’m loving these quick reads that give me my steamy romance fix!!

A short steamy story. Hunter knows Abigail through friends. He is attracted to her and ever since he came to her rescue one night, he feels responsible for her, wants to protect her and more. Abigail ‘ s violent husband will not leave her in peace.
It’s an interesting content, but I didn’t like the writing style. Too short, abrupt, simplified, it doesn;t go smoothly for me.

Abigail has escaped from an abusive marriage or she thought. Outside the Center her ex caught up with her and started to attack her, when Hunter hears the screaming he runs over to help. Hunter has noticed Abigail for sometime, but did not approach her afraid that he would scare her with his size. After rescuing her, there was no way Hunter was going to let Abigail get away from him.
This is a beautiful romance that is a fast read with the right amount heat, passion, danger and suspense.

A good alpha hero and his lady love that was abused repeatedly by her ex before he became involved with her. He has to show her that not all men are as her ex was. The chemistry and feelings he shows her and she feels for him are beautiful. I volunteered to read this arc for my honest opinion
