i love this book!!!l!! straight to the point, easy to understand & so comforting. 🥹 quite a fast read overall too, spent just a couple of hours to finish.
its a collection of wisdoms about the calamity and tribulations of life and i felt that this came to me at the right time. :') life is not a bed of roses for everyone. there are people who struggle with poverty, there are people who struggle with their health and then there are those who struggle with their family. and we always tend to ask ourselves THE common question – why is Allah making me go through it? what did i do to deserve this? why Allah tests us? 💭
i love how it emphasizes to be patient ((and the importance)) during times of hardship, the importance of dua, benefits of trials & tribulations and overall, reminding that in those moments of difficulty are in fact a blessing. there will be times where we would feel v impatient - personally i do have ppl telling me to be patient lmaoooo and reading!!!! this!!! was!!! such!!!! a!!! great!!! reminder!!! 🥲🥲🥲
i really did benefit from this, felt more grateful as it encourages to take heart even though doing certain things seem nearly impossible. at the end of the day, He knows exactly how much we are struggling and He knows how hard we have worked to turn to Him, in patience, while seeking His help.
may He forgive us and ease our hardships 💫 and verily, with hardship comes ease. ((quran 94:5-6))

This book was a little different from what I expected the book to be but I grew to enjoy it over time and see the wisdom in it.
The author has collected writings on the blessings of trials, hardships, calamities and tribulations from the works of different scholars with the majority of it being from Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanvi(rahmatullah)
The first one-third of the book is about the life of the Mawlana and his contribution to the propagation of the deen, especially in the Indian subcontinent which made me develop respect for him.
After that, there are chapters dedicated to understanding and the wisdom behind difficulties in life and the remedies for it. There are references from poems of Rumi, writings from other scholars of Islam, Quran and hadith. Overall, I grew to like this book over time.

this book consist of 107 pages to read and the starting 34 pages only consists of "the life and work of hakim al-ummah, mawlana ashraf ali thanwi"
