Sexy and stoic firefighter Hunter is used to cruel goodbyes.
The other firefighters on Hunter’s force believe him to be ice-cold and stern, but that isn’t without reason. Life hasn’t been easy for the Australian single father. Though he’s seen his fair share of ups and downs, the hardest thing he ever did was leave his first love.
Even though Hunter is in a new town with a new career and a five-year-old boy to focus on, the voluptuous body of the woman who still owns his heart continues to haunt his dreams.
Willow hasn’t seen Hunter since they were eighteen and on the cusp of adulthood. Life took them in different directions and so the star-crossed lovers had no choice but to say goodbye. They headed in opposite directions, never expecting to cross paths again.
Now the owner of a bustling café, Willow has resigned herself to never being held in Hunter’s strong arms again... until he shows up in the city firetruck after getting a call about a fire at her café.
Both Willow and Hunter are stunned by their unexpected reunion, but it isn’t just Willow’s café that needs saving. Their hearts might be battered and bruised, but Hunter and Willow finally have a second chance to reignite the flames of love that once burned so brightly between them.
These sparks will either light a beautiful bonfire or a raging firestorm, and neither know for sure which the blaze will turn.
Hunter is the fifth book in the Grafton Fire & Rescue Series, but each of these sweet but sizzling Aussie firefighter romances can be read and enjoyed all on their own. With no cliffhangers or cheating, expect a flaming hot love story featuring alpha firefighters and their curvy heroines finding happily ever after
Hunter has been on a rollercoaster of a ride and has closed himself off from everyone except his young son. His world stops when he sees the love of his life again. Willow has never forgotten Hunter after they broke up years ago. She’s now the owner of a bakery but is missing someone in her life. This was an emotional quick read. Willow is a strong independent entrepreneur. Hunter has suffered in his life and feels alone even though he has a son and his firefighter family. The sparks still fly between these two even all the time has past. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how deep hate can run, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! Can’t say I didn’t warn you. (Believe me when I say you won’t put it down until the last page is read…you will find yourself getting upset cause someone called, texted or bothered you while reading this one, you will find yourself up at ungodly hours just to finish it knowing you have to be at work early (like 3am early) the very next day) YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! Hunter is a sexy firefighter, single dad, and really isn’t happy with the path his life is going. He is at a new station they are trying to adjust to the move, and he hasn’t made too many friends yet. Willow is sweet, kind to others and still in love with her high school sweetheart. Hunter and Willow dated in high school but upon graduation both went off to college in separate directions. When Willow shop catches on fire guess which fireman she literally bumps into yep her high school sweetheart will she see the second chance Hunter see, will she accept him and his son also, can this be their HEA?
A super sweet story of a second chance at love, when Hunter and Willow separated to go to different Universities, they never expected to see each other again. Willow never made it to University, but ended up in Grafton working as a barista in a little coffee shop. Hunter went to University meeting Isobell toward the end, accidentally getting pregnant, having Tommy, with her falling ill a few years later and passing away. Finally, when Tommy was five they move to Grafton, where Hunter becomes a fireman. One day they get a call to a fire that turns out to be a false alarm, but it was to Willow's Coffee Shop. That was the first that they each knew they were in the same town, putting them both in a state of shock. Neither one had been able to forget the other over the years. It was like let the excitement begin as they find their way back to each other.

Hunter is the newest member of NSW fire & rescue service. Tommy, his 5 year old son and Hunter make up his family. He left his heart with a woman in Sydney when he was 18. Willow is that woman. He hasn't seen her in many years. Willow owns Willow's café. When the fire team get called out for what turns out to be a false alarm, Hunter sees Willow. Fate keeps managing to put these two together. When Hunter reveals his feelings, all the emotions and love come flooding to the surface for them both.
Hunter is book 5 in the Grafton Fire & Rescue. This story is really a quick read so you don't get much background on the characters, just the basic. I was a little confused as to why they broke up in the past. For being crushed, Hunter is pretty quick to get back with Willow, especially when he has a young son. Other than that being my opinion, I like the series and this it last finally explains Hunter.
Steamy, Short and Sweet Second Chance Romance A firefighter and a single dad…oh my goodness! In Eva Foxx’s “Hunter,” the fifth installment in the Grafton Fire and Rescue series, the title character is stunned when he runs into the one that got away - his childhood sweetheart, Willow - when the fire company is called to her café on a false alarm. Hunter is handsome and broody, having never gotten over his first love while beautiful and curvaceous Willow is shocked to realize that her feelings are still as strong as ever. This is a quick read with one steamy love connection and good side characters that add to the story. Although this is further into the series, it is written as a standalone, and Foxx does an excellent job of weaving previous characters into the storyline without confusing new readers. Looking forward to reading the earlier releases in preparation for new titles!
At 18, Hunter and Willow had been madly in love but had to go separate ways due to college. Willow never ended up going to college but instead moved to Grafton and started working at a cafe and later bought it and has been running it ever since. Hunter went to college and was still pining away for Willow and was lonely. He had a fling with Isabelle and she ended up pregnant. She ended up dying when Tommy was 2. Willow ends up having a false alarm at her cafe and the fire department shows up which bring Hunter back into her life. This was such a good second chance story. Hunter and Willow were perfect together!

This is the story about Hunter and Part 5 of the Grafton Fire and Rescue series. Like the other parts, it is again a book that is easy to read. It is a book that you can read in the waiting room, for example, or the break at work, train, etc.
I enjoyed the story about Hunter and Willow. about how they bump into each other in the town of Grafton after years, he approaches a false fire alarm as a fire brigade and discovers that it is the cafe that Willow owns. You get completely drawn into their story when they meet again after being apart for years. The characters and characters are great again by Ms Foxx a nice story about 2nd chances. This series is highly recommended !!!

Wanting to be utterly entwined together again This book is about Willow and Hunter. Their story tells of a serendipitous second-chance for a love that never faded, even after being apart for years. There have been some major changes in both of their lives, and it made the story more believable, and the characters even more likeable. It’s an emotional, sweet and steamy story that is fast-paced but left my heart full. The epilogue had me tearing-up and smiling like a loon. It was a joy to revisit characters from past books, showing just how the fire and rescue team are like family. And I really hope this isn’t the end of the series. I give this book four and a quarter jacaranda stars. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love reads that don't take hours to get through and also ones that don't have a ton of unnecessary drama. This book hit both criteria and I loved it. Hunter never thought he'd see Willow again and she never expected to have him walk back into her life with a little boy in tow. But can they overcome their pasts and find a future together?
This book was well paced with characters that were easy to like. And there were just enough twists and unexpected turns that it kept you interested. Definitely a great one to pick up if you have a bit of time.

Willow runs a cafe in Granfton NSW. Hunter is a fireman with a five year old son named Tommy - his mom died when he was two. Willow and Hunter had a tight loving relationship before they split to go to different colleges. Now back together and their romance does not just rekindle, it skyrockets. Loved the characters and storyline. The friends and firehouse family that are so tight-knit and supportive. Tommy was such a cool little boy and he always made me smile. Great group of stories about the Grafton firemen and their women.

The author has pulled us into the lives of Willow and Hunter and never lets go. Hunter moves to Grafton, hoping to have a new start for his son and himself. After losing the love of his life and then the mother of his son, he focuses on raising his son instead of finding happiness for himself. Until Willow comes back into his life. Will this be a second chance for them?

I just love these firemen stories. I missed one of the books in this series, but it has not made a difference from what I can see. These two have come back together after years. They have issues that keep them from being together. The past always seems to get in the way of reunited couples to some point. But with all that has happened will these two be able to get back together?

Hunter, the fifth volume in the Grafton Fire and Rescue series is as sweet as it is fast and short. There is just enough background of the characters to get an understanding of what separated them in this second chance romance without being buried by the past, as well as a foundation for their inner turmoil and monologues. The story moved throughout what feels like twenty-four hours in the lives of the characters and is a quick, easy read while on a bus route or waiting at an appointment.
Willow and Hunter, love-struck young lovers who were separated by distance and college. While apart Hunter moves on with his life, became a father, husband and is now widowed. Now they are back in the same town. He, the firefighter, and Willow the bakery owner. When they reconnect it is combustible, but flames have a way of burning out and the reader is left breathless at what is left in the ashes after the fire.
This is a wonderful addition to the "Grafton Fire & Rescue" series. It is a stand alone read that is short, quick and fast paced. Loved this story about the single father firefighter and his long lost love. This is Willow and Hunter's second chance. They are unexpected thrust back into each others lives will love be in their future? This is a story that you can relate to and is nicely developed. I love the characters!
Lost too much makes Hunter barely social. He son is his saving grace. His five-year-old son is there to help him get through some of the bad times. But when he runs into his high school sweetheart that he’s been missing this whole entire time things change. Interesting that a spoonful of sugar will keep the memories alive. No cliffhanger
