Crystal Kaswell is the author of the Sinful Serenade series. She writes steamy new adult romance with flawed characters. She loves police procedurals, tea, and The Hunger Games series. She lives in Portland, OR with her husband.
Sienna is an eighteen year old college student virgin with a mega crush on her sister’s fiancées best friend and cousin Cam Hunt. Cam is a super in control guy used to getting whatever he wants and now he wants something off limits and that is Sienna. Cam’s views on relationships are dysfunctional do to the messed up first relationship he had with his adult soccer coach when he was still a minor. Now he believes he’s too damaged to love someone and vows that it is just a physical short term fling with Sienna. This book in my opinion was a hard to finish in the beginning and middle and only picked up a bit more at the end. It was hard liking the main characters Cam was a controlling ass who seemed indifferent throughout most of the book while Sienna seemed a bit immature. I got sick of her constantly begging Cam and him always stringing her along and playing games with her. I love most of Crystal Kaswell’s books but this one was just okay and I think I’ll either skim it or skip it if I do a reread of this series.

While I typically enjoy this author’s work, I just couldn’t get into this book.
There was not one interaction between Sienna and Cameron that isn’t sexual and booze-fueled. And to be honest, some of their conversation didn’t even make sense.
But I did admired how Sienna went after what she wanted.
Overall, an okay read to pass the time but not up to the quality of this author.
I have been going back and forth on the review for this book. I have always been a fan of this author, read and enjoyed almost every book that has been written but I'm stuck with the repetitiveness of this trope. Sienna is an 18-year-old virgin, Cam is almost 30, and has that alpha, almost Dom attitude. I had high hopes for the characters, I could feel that Cam was hiding a lot of pain, but I just couldn't fully connect with them. The story is full of heat, tons of back and forth, either face to face or texting, but not enough depth to the characters to keep me pulled in. I enjoyed the times they were discussing life and the moments Sienna and Cam spent with their friends and family. As this story didn’t hit me perfectly, if you love age gap, virgin h’s with an intense amount of heat, this is definitely the story for you.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
No. Just .. no. I think maybe it was the writing style? I never knew who was talking, our heroine needs more to talk about than her obsession with sex, and I just, I don't know. It all felt stilted, it felt like there was really no storyline, and I just don't quite know why I read this. I didn't like any of the characters, and it was all just very bizarre.
I received this book to read in ebook format for Free to Give My True & Honest Review but I hadn't gotten round to read it, so as SOON as I saw that it was audio I got it & I'm really glad I did as the narrators Robbie Martino & Vanessa Edwin brought 30 yr old British Cameron Hunt & 18 yr old American Student Sienna Sims live to Me. Cam is part of a very successful international business with his Cousins Ian & Ty Hunt. And it seems that Sienna has had the HOTS for Cam since she met him when her elder Sister India started dating Ty, but it's during the preparation of their Wedding that they BOTH HAVE to work together & they both can't keep their eyes off each other & it's Virgin Sienna whose the initiator to try & entice womaniser Cam who admits that he CAN'T & WON'T beable to Fall in Love with her or anyone due to the heartbreak & manipulation by the first woman he fell in love with at the age of 14 & destroyed him for anyone else for evermore. And it's here where they do become closer & then a few months after the wedding & Cam went back to London then came back for work reasons they get together once more & he opens up to her about his past. heartbreaking beautiful hea 💔💌💘🥰
I thought Cam and Sienna's story was quite enjoyable. This age gap, forbidden romance is filled with an abundance of emotion as this couple's relationship evolves. The storyline kept me engaged and in my opinion delivered a steamy and fun romance with a healthy dose of heart. I loved Cam and I liked Sienna. As a couple they worked for me and I was quickly rooting for them. I am freely choosing to post a unprejudiced review.
I loved Cam and Sienna’s story! It was a fun sexy steamy read ! If you love age gap forbidden virgin heroine and hot slightly broken alpha billionaire than you’ll love this . As usual I love Crystals writing it has her funny banter but steamy scenes great character building I love how she creates broken male characters with heart and emotions and unique female characters that are witty sassy and sexy. This was overall a fantastic reading experience it gave me all the feels I really enjoyed it!
I've been on this ride since the first book. Its bittersweet to be at the end. I loved Dianna in her sister's book and was wanting a story built off of the insane chemistry between her and Cam. This book built on that but it also built on a pretty important topic which made me appreciate it even more.
My complaint with the book was that I wanted more of a look into the future tying these characters together since it is the last book.

ABOUT THE SERIES:
This book is the sixth in the Dirty Rich series of connected standalones. Books include: 1. Dirty Deal (Blake & Kat’s story) 2. Dirty Boss (Phoenix & Lizzy’s story) 3. Dirty Husband (Shepard & Jasmine) 4. Dirty Desires (Ian & Eve’s story) 5. Dirty Wedding (Tyler & Indigo’s story) 6. Dirty Secret (Cam & Sienna’s story)
Fans of the series will note that books four, five, and six, though standalones, are closely linked.
Book four follows Ian Hunt, who is thirty-seven here; it is one year after his story took place. Book five follows his younger brother Tyler Hunt, who is thirty-one here. Book six follows Cameron Hunt, who is Ian and Ty’s younger cousin. Cam’s story overlaps some with Ty’s story. Ty is introduced in Ian’s book; Cam and Sienna are both introduced in Ty and Indigo’s story. Both earlier couples appear in this book, too. Most of this story revolves around Ty and Indigo’s wedding.
The Hunt men’s stories follow similar patterns. The men have experienced a devastating breakup or relationship of sorts, making them too damaged for a real relationship. They all fall for a younger woman who experienced loss and hardship at a young age. The men have some rather unique desires in the bedroom. They were all raised working class and are self-made men. Their fathers served in the military. They are now wealthy and highly eligible British bachelors. None of the Hunt men intend to fall in love. They are black, and their love interests are white. Note that though the stories are interracial, that is not the subject of the story. There is nothing heavy or negative. These are refreshing stories about falling in love despite the baggage that weighs these men down. Ian and Ty are loyal brothers, though they are capable of keeping secrets, too. Cam considers himself a loyal cousin and friend, but discovers himself capable of keeping a secret as well. FROM DIRTY DESIRES, BOOK FOUR:
This is Ian's story. Ian is Shepard's good friend and business partner. The story takes place mostly in June, about three months after Jasmine entered Shep's life again (from book three). Ian is introduced in Dirty Husband as an adrenaline junkie having an affinity for teaching virgins about the world of pleasure. He is a complex character. Married nine years, he was humiliated to discover everyone knew about the affair Laura had behind his back for about two years. After sleeping with most of London, Ian flew across the Atlantic four years ago to get as far away from his ex as possible. Manhattan became his primary residence, and he began pursuing virgins. Thirty day agreements, then he walks away. No attachments. He becomes fixated on one virgin in particular that he follows online, but she has no idea who he is. Little does he realize that Eve Miller, the mature writer he follows online, is just eighteen – half his age.
Tyler Hunt is Ian’s younger brother. He runs the company’s London office, where he lives near their mom. He is a seemingly less burdened and more dangerous version of Ian. Ty is playful. He has tattoos and wears jeans – though like Ian, he wears suits to work. He is not quite as wealthy as his older brother, but he certainly does very well. He was recently engaged to a beautiful socialite, which remains a touchy subject. Rory was a good girl from old money. After two years together, she suddenly broke up with Ty. At the last minute Rory decided she didn't love him anymore. He flies to the states and celebrates his thirtieth birthday visiting Ian in the Hamptons and meeting Eve. FROM DIRTY WEDDING, BOOK FIVE:
This book opens in May, about eleven months after the opening of book four. Most of the story takes place within that month.
Indigo Nicole Simms, twenty-two, has been holding down the fort for years. She works in an upscale Midtown bar, where wealthy men routinely proposition her for money. It is sometimes tempting, but she hasn’t been desperate enough to seriously consider any offers just yet. Her father died in her youth, and after that Indie practically raised her little sister Sienna herself while caring for her mother, who finally died of a broken heart two years ago. Indie is determined to see that Sienna has every opportunity that she herself never had. As eighteen year old Sienna prepares to graduate from high school and begin at NYU in the fall, Indie struggles with her overprotective instincts. The idea of letting go and watching Sienna turn into a woman terrifies her, as does the idea of suddenly being alone.
Tyler Hunt, thirty, needs to get married. After nearly a year of playing the field in the aftermath of Rory breaking their engagement, his reputation has taken a hit. His publicist has a list of suitable socialites, but none of them will do. He wants Indie. He spends much of his time in New York these days, and his mind inevitably drifts to Indie. The summer they spent together three years ago was never far from his mind since. Neither had any interest in marriage at the time. She had responsibilities and he had to return to London. He had promised to call when he returned to New York, but instead sent her a message apologizing. He had met someone else.
When Sienna’s soccer scholarship falls through, Indie wonders if she might have to resort to accepting one of her customers’ propositions to pay the tuition. Out of the blue, though, she gets called to a meeting Ty. He makes an offer of marriage too good for Indie to refuse. It is a business transaction, certainly. It is to improve his image. But separately, they both know that their attraction for one another is as intense as it ever was. They are both obsessive about the other, yet guarded at the same time. Ty needs Indie, to whom no other woman compares. He is not capable of love, but he can commit to taking care of her. Ty comes into their renewed relationship with a lot of new baggage. He had wanted to marry Rory for love. His unconventional promise not to love Indie sets up their emotional story. The couple eventually earns a happy ending.

This book opens in July, during Ty and Indie’s engagement (from book five). Ty’s cousin Cam and Indie’s sister Sienna enjoy easy banter and an openly flirtatious relationship when brought together via the engaged couple – but all is presumed to be in jest. Cam leaves for his home in London, but returns two months later for the two weeks leading up to the wedding. Much of the story takes place during the leadup to the September nuptials.
Cameron Hunt, twenty-nine, is always in a suit. He is a tech mogul, the CFO in Europe for his cousins’ company and a very eligible bachelor. His focus in on venture capital. He came from a middle class home, though, and his parents are still working class. His father is in the military and his mother is a nurse. He got lucky when his cousins, Ian and Ty, invited him to join them at their startup. He has always looked up to his cousins and has been especially close with Ty. Seeing them both settle down is a bit of a surprise, and that they are both making Manhattan their residence is yet another. They had both gone through epic breakups, but that isn’t exactly why Cam won’t ever be settling down. His problems go way back – to age fourteen and a woman ten years his senior. It was every teenage boy’s dream, but it messed with his head. Cam doesn’t feel what he hears others describe feeling after intimacy with a woman. Instead he feels used and empty. And he never wants to anything to do with the woman again.
Sienna, eighteen, loves soccer and reality TV. She is headstrong and courageous, and never hesitates to say what she really thinks about something. Her directness may not be for everyone, but her honesty is refreshing. She loves her older sister Indigo, with whom she is very close. Her father died over a decade ago, leaving her mother to raise her and Indie alone. Only it didn’t work out that way. Their mother had been completely overcome by her grief, so it was largely Indie who raised Sienna and cared for their mother. Their mother finally died of a broken heart two years ago, and Indie is determined to see that Sienna has every opportunity that she herself never had. But Indie is marrying Ty soon, so things are changing. Ty is concerned that Sienna might feel lost or left out when he marries her sister; he thus moves her into an apartment three floors below them so that the two sisters can remain close. Sienna just graduated from high school. She turned down several soccer scholarships in order to stay in New York near Indie while attending NYU and studying math. And even though it means she won’t be competing on a division one team, she still devotes herself to the sport she loves. She is an athlete, determined to keep fit and maintain discipline. That means no boys and no alcohol. But her sister only gets married once, so she plans to bend some of the rules.
Sienna’s future brother-in-law is thoughtful enough to ask his cousin Cam to pal around with her and keep her company while he and Indie are focused on wedding preparations. Sienna may be innocent when it comes to experience with men, but nothing ever stops her from going for what she wants – even if it is forbidden. She knows flirting with Cam is playing with danger, but when the two get near one another it seems neither can help themselves. They play it off like it is a game to them, but Cam’s flirting isn’t always fair. And when he takes it too far, she warns him that she won’t hold back. She wants him to be her first. Cam warns Sienna that he isn’t good for more than a night, and that one night is all that it will take to ruin her for any other man. But Sienna is fearless and willing to take the gamble. They put their relationships with family at risk when they finally agree to cross the line. They had made promises not to get involved with one another, to avoid any messy entanglements, but it seems common sense goes out the door when the pair gets together. They agree to a dirty secret – and they know that is all it will ever be. They love Ty and Indie. They won’t let their tryst ruin the bride and groom’s special day, nor allow their secret to ruin any relationships.
Cam and Sienna share of love of soccer that helps them forge a bond despite their eleven year difference in age. Sienna may only be eighteen, but she is bold and outspoken. With Cam as the life of the party, they are a natural fit. Cam doesn’t do relationships, but because the idea of a relationship between him and Sienna is forbidden, he feels free to be flirty and carry on with her since nothing can become of it. Cam is somewhat tortured by his attraction to her, but is at liberty to relax and get to know her – something he just doesn’t do with women. The more time they spend together, whether flirting or otherwise, the more adorable she is in his eyes. It is probably a combination of her innocence, her proclivity to dirty flirting, and her love of soccer that allows Sienna to somehow sneak past the walls that keep Cam sheltered from relationships. Sienna is a little lost as she watches her sister find love. And she is tired of being the fifth wheel around Ian, Eve, Ty, and her sister. At eighteen, so much is changing around her, and she needs to find her grounding. Cam does that for her. His strength and experience combined with their shared love of soccer and running make him an ideal match. And her innocence may be the key to him finally moving on from the past. They help one another move forward in life, despite the years and miles that separate them. Their journey as a couple has challenges, but they eventually find a happy ending.

Wow! There are so many emotions experienced while reading this book. Loss and hardship. Growing up too soon and learning to let go. Jealousy and inadequacy. Family loyalty and insecurity. Fear of rejection and fear of vulnerability. Heartbreak and passion. Love and abuse. Both Cam and Sienna are very complex. Each was forced to grow up too soon. Despite Cam being eleven years Sienna’s senior, he is emotionally immature in comparison to her. Due to the abuse and manipulation at the hands of a trusted adult in his youth, he never developed a healthy understanding about love and relationships. He has insecurities that he doesn’t understand. Sienna lost both her parents and now fears how losing her sister to marriage with Ty will change things yet again for her. Indie had stepped into the role of a parent to Sienna, and the loss makes her both jealous and insecure no matter how happy she might be for Indie. She is lost and needs desperately to find her own footing.
Cam and Sienna’s forbidden romance is steeped in dirty banter and great chemistry. It is an age gap story as well as a coming of age story. It deals with the emotional scars of abuse to a minor – and in the more unusual case of the victim being a teenage boy. Cam and Sienna push one another’s buttons as well as their limits. Though in different ways, they both missed out on some of the innocence of childhood, and their need for something deep binds them. The intimacy that they share makes it hard to walk away. Yet they must. Their happy ending is not simple or easy.
Cam and Sienna’s story is heavy with flirty banter and emotional baggage as the pair contemplates a forbidden romance that could rock their families. Fans of soccer will enjoy the many references! The story is nicely written. My ARC copy has a few errors that I trust get cleaned up. The plot is fairly simple. The characters are three-dimensional and real. The story is written in first person. The POV alternates between Cam and Sienna. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If likable but diverse main characters are a must for you, Crystal Kaswell is a good choice for romance novels. She hasn’t written a book I’ve disliked, and I’ve read all 32 of her books. Her characters never start to feel like carbon copies of each other, as I’ve witnessed in other writers’ works, and yet I always want to root for them. In Dirty Secret, Sienna Simms is in many ways the opposite of her sister Indigo and Indigo’s friend Eve, the heroines of the previous two books, and I personally have almost nothing in common with any of these three characters, but I love them as much as Kaylee, the heroine in Tempting, with whom I have more in common. (Tempting is the first book in Inked Hearts, another great series by Kaswell.) It’s impressive how Kaswell manages to get into the mindset of every conceivable personality and do it so well. Makes me wonder if she has a psychology degree.
I particularly love the hero of Dirty Secret, Cam Hunt. I love how he is a bit of a cynical jerk but has really good and compelling reasons for being a jerk sometimes (and he’s not a jerk to the heroine, don’t worry!). He is definitely a broken bad boy, and I think I prefer Cam even to his ex-MI6 cousin, Ian, in Dirty Desires. I would’ve liked more story from Cam’s point of view in the second half of the book, more details on his critical character development during that time.
This book is a twist on the “forbidden love” / “brother’s best friend” theme (rather, “future brother-in-law’s best friend”), but at its heart, it’s about healing from childhood trauma (on the hero’s part) and dealing with big life changes (on the heroine’s part). And I’m a sucker for heroes who need to heal from childhood trauma, so I loved that aspect. As always with a Kaswell book, it’s dealt with very sensitively and very realistically (the heroine doesn’t magically heal the hero with love and sex here). I also liked that the hero is black, and I was intrigued with what seemed to me to be a nod to the vestiges of racism when a barista assumed that Sienna and Cam weren’t a couple (the story made no mention of racism, so I could be completely wrong, but that’s what the scene made me think of).
Like in the rest of the Dirty Rich series, the characters are a bit kinky, and like his best friend Ty, Cam enjoys making his woman wait and keeping her guessing as to whether she is gonna get some. I personally prefer when the hero is so crazy about the heroine that he has sex with her what is likely an impossible number of times per day (I just reread Karen Marie Moning’s Highlander series, so maybe I’m comparing too much). But the idea of a guy who’s so controlled that he withholds sex from the heroine and makes her crazy is an interesting change of pace. There’s a little bondage here, too.
I have some criticisms of the book, the first very minor one being that it doesn’t work that well as a standalone because it starts in medias res without introducing the characters. It’s very much a continuation of Dirty Wedding (where the characters meet). You also get time with our Dirty Desires couple, which I loved (the heroes of these three books are family members).
Additionally, there are several passages that need a tad more detail, where just a few words would have made the writing more polished. When I read any book, especially a romance novel, I tend to visualize everything that’s happening. Although I like that Kaswell’s books aren’t overburdened with description but instead are dialogue-heavy and fast-paced, I need enough explanatory detail so that I don’t have any uncertainty about what I’m picturing — so that I don’t have to “rewind” the movie playing in my head.
For example, after the characters run and get coffee together, do they part at the coffee shop or does he walk her home? When Kaswell narrates her walking home, you should be able to picture whether he’s with her. The lack of any mention of him suggests he wasn’t, but narrating their exit from the shop, or even just writing “for the entire walk after we say goodbye” instead of “for the entire walk,” would have made for a smoother reading experience because I wouldn’t have reread a few lines.
There’s also a scene where the couple steps into a curtained booth at a restaurant, and because such a curtain usually only covers the table and benches, I assumed that they had sat down, but it turned out that they were still standing. With just a little more detail to prevent uncertainty about the visual, this scene would have been smoother.
A similar example is when they go to a store together, and there is no mention of the presence or absence of any store employees, and it’s only at the end of the scene that the reader learns they were alone at the store (it had been mentioned that the owner “owe[d] [Cam] a favor,” but I had still assumed the owner or an employee was at the store, and I was left wondering whether Cam had had a key or the store had been left wide open and empty all day in the middle of NYC...?). Just give me that detail. It might seem unimportant, but it reads so much better.
I also would have liked to be clearer on when and how Sienna saw Cam’s tattoos. How does she know about them in Chapter 2 if he is always in a suit? Why not add that she saw them when he rolled up his sleeves one time (just making up an example), even flash back to the scene and give us some sexual tension? And how does she know about a certain tattoo in Chapter 8, then say that she is seeing it for the first time in Chapter 41?
There are a few other examples, but even considering all of them, they seriously don’t detract from the story much, and I suspect that I will be the only one on the planet to complain about them. I just see this writer as teetering on the edge between indie quality and professionally edited quality and would like her to topple over into the latter, but the last few books she’s published in particular have lacked a few small but crucial details that made me “rewind my movie.”
There are definitely typos, but it’s very well edited for an indie romance. I’ve reminded the editor/assistant/whoever-reads-the-emails that the phrase is “get a hold of,” not “get ahold of,” and that the title (and the neutral word encompassing both men and women) is “90 Day Fiancé,” not “90 Day Fiancée” (some of the fiancés are men, after all), but other than that, it’s mostly just typos I see in her books.
There was a rather big misspelling in this book, though. The British slang “bollocks” (meaning “nonsense” or “testicles”) was spelled “bullocks” (a completely different word meaning “castrated bulls”). Strange, because the word was spelled correctly in Dirty Wedding and Dirty Desires!
Overall, I very much enjoyed this book and had a little trouble deciding what to rate it, 4 or 4.5? My biggest problem was that more of Cam’s POV was needed in the second half, or maybe just the last third — another scene or two with his cousins and a chapter from him during the brief “break-up” portion, at the very least. His progress in fighting his inner demons was so crucial there. But I liked the storyline and characters so much that I let it squeak by with a 4.5 rounded up to a 5. A must-read.
Dirty Secret is the sixth book in Ms. Kaswell Dirty series. This is Cameron and Sienna story. For the one perfect weekend, Cameron Hunt fulfilled all her deepest and darkest desires. He spent three glorious days exploring every inch of her body and teaching her everything that she needs to know about sex, then they kissed passionately and said their goodbyes and went back to their respective lives with a promise that it ends there. ♟Age Gap Trope ♟The girl who was off limits ♟Standalone romance set in the Dirty Rich world ♟Headstrong, spunky virgin heroine ♟Best friend's future sister-in-law ♟Dominant, life of the play yet brooding hero ♟Broken and deeply wounded billionaire ♟Forbidden Romance ♟Angst, bondage, submission and whole lotta steam ♨️♨️ ♟ Set in New York and London ♟Seriously, hot it just might melt your kindle Sienna is an eighteen year old freshman inexperienced virgin. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Decent plot, easy read but basic language use and lack of description and development of most of the characters. I would give this book 2.5 stars if I could as I feel 2 stars is harshly low but 3 stars is generously high.
That said, I really liked the concept, it was a very fast-paced and enjoyable read and I did really appreciate the chemistry between Sienna and Cameron. From the start Sienna and Cameron’s intentions towards one another are made clear and so is their impossible dynamic; Sienna is going to be the sister-in-law of Cam’s (extremely overprotective) best friend (and cousin) Ty, and has a massive issue with intimacy due to the trauma he suffers as a result of being raped and manipulated when he was a teenager. Now Cam associates sex with betrayal and ends up hating every woman he’s ever slept with. He’s equally convinced and petrified that it’ll be the same with Sienna but he likes her far too much to thoughtlessly ruin their friendship.
Despite their feelings for one another Cam and Sienna don’t know whether or not the ripples and possible destruction it will cause between their newly blended families are worth the risk so they give each other one steamy weekend and then promise themselves they’ll go their separate ways and focus on Indie (Sienna’s sister) and Ty’s upcoming wedding. Cam doesn’t want to damage Sienna and ‘ruin her for other men’, but he can’t bear the thought of her being with anyone else, the fact she’s a virgin only makes him want her more. Sienna may be young, but she’s a strong woman who knows exactly what she wants, especially sexually (despite her inexperience).
I truly did love the chemistry between Cam and Sienna, I loved the fact that they had a really natural and easy friendship and just connected before anything progressed. They got to know each other fairly well quite quickly, trusted and confided in one another and weren’t afraid to admit that, whilst it may not be their smartest choice to pursue a relationship, true feelings were there beyond sex. Once things became intimate Cam quite realistically and understandably had some issues he needed to work through before he was ready to open himself up to a relationship and love.
On the other hand, the writing style and overall plot development was very basic. In some ways this worked as the to-the-point nature helped to maintain the excitement and buzz of ‘will they/won’t they’ and allowed the story to move along nicely. However, for me the descriptive element, particularly in relation to the characters’ appearances was too vague for me. Besides the fact Sienna was athletic with light brown hair and hazel eyes, there was no clarity on what she really looked like. Likewise with Cam, we’re told he’s also in good physical shape and is a very attractive black British guy with brown eyes who always wears a suit. I find it odd that Cam’s race is emphasised on more than one occasion and even Ty’s is hinted at, however it’s never clarified with any other character. Likewise with Eve and Indie, we are told they’re edgy looking punk girls with nice dress sense and daring hairstyles but that is all.
For me as a reader I like to be able to paint a good picture of the characters I’m reading about, as well as setting the scene, but at times I feel a bit more effort was put into describing the landscape and architecture/decor than the characters.
I would be interested to read some more of the books in the series as it was an enjoyable read that didn’t require much thought which is nice for a bit of escapism and entertainment.

Dirty Secret is the 6th book in Crystal Kaswell’s Dirty Rich series, written in dual POV. While technically the book is a complete stand alone- characters from Dirty Desires (book 5) and Dirty Wedding (book 6) are recurring throughout Dirty Secret as well as many references to their stories, so the story makes just a little more sense if you have already read at least those two books prior to this one.
Sienna Simms is an 18 year old college freshman whose life has completely changed when her older sister Indigo reconnects and ultimately becomes engaged to British billionaire Tyler Hunt. Ty is very protective of Sienna and has enlisted the help of his cousin/best friend and business partner Cam to help take care of and look after her before the wedding, but for him to also keep his hands to himself. Sienna and Cam have always had a friendly and flirty banter, despite Cam being 10 years her senior, and connect over shared interests such as soccer. Cam has dirty secrets in his past that keep him from connecting to anyone he gets physically involved with. Sienna always talks about sex and pumps her sister for her dirty details, she is actually very innocent in what she has actually done. The attraction they feel toward each other ends up being too strong with the more time they spend together- so they agree one weekend together before the wedding and then they go their separate ways before anyone else finds out. Only feelings start to get involved and secrets have a way of coming out.
I have some mixed feelings about this book. While I love some of the banter between Cam and Sienna- especially since Sienna is unapologetically honest and kind of just says things that could be taken as offensive. They have a sweet friendship that is important to both of them outside of their attraction to each other. Once Cam gave into his desire for Sienna- they had some really great and steamy scenes. Like his cousins Ian and Ty, Cam has certain “tastes” in the bedroom though I thought he was much more talk and tamer than he acted. He seemed to like being in charge and withholding more than anything else. I loved how the book really brought the idea of trust in your partner as a key component and as Sienna and Cam begin to really trust each other how their experiences together become so much more. I love how that trust is what helped Cam start working out the lingering issues of his past abuse so that he could really be all in with Sienna while she focused on school and soccer while still being all in with him. The thing with this book that kept me from really loving it was that I felt like there was just so much filler- like parts of the story that just seemed to go on forever. I think a lot of that was to help build up the anticipation but sometimes it took me out of the mindset of the story. Though overall Dirty Secret is another hot and entertaining story by Crystal Kaswell.
Dirty Secret is the forbidden steamy romance between Cameron “Cam” Hunt and Sienna Simms. Both of these characters were introduced in Dirty Wedding featuring Ty Hunt and Indigo Simms. Sienna is Indigo’s younger sister and an NYU student and soccer star, who is focused and loves a good challenge. Cam Hunt is Ty’s cousin and billionaire tech mogul with a tainted past. At Ty’s insistence, the two of them are to keep their relationship strictly platonic. Ty even warns Cam not to sleep with Sienna, no matter what. Both know what potential disaster can occur if they do sleep together, but will it be enough to dose the flames of desire they have for each other?
Sienna is bold, beautiful, unapologetically herself around others, and tells people how she feels without regards to it hurting their feelings or if it might offend them. While she is 18 years young, the things she has experienced in her life have forced her to grow up faster than she was. She learned to appreciate life and live for the here and now, but afraid and scared of how her life is changing and how she has no control over it. She is determined to go after what she wants and will do whatever it takes to get it even if the world as she knows it blows up. After all some things are worth the risk and waiting for.
Just like his cousins (Ian and Ty), Cam believes that he will ruin Sienna for other men if they sleep together. He even has the Hunt charm and presence when he enters the room. His tainted past forces him to see himself as the dark, twisted, and broken. To him, he is the dark to Sienna’s light and she deserves much better than someone who is emotionally unavailable and has demons in his closet. But as much as he tries to deny his feelings and desires for Sienna, she found a way into his heart and life and has no intentions of ever leaving.
The chemistry between Cam and Sienna is slow burning from their first kiss. When the perfect opportunity for a secret affair presents itself, they to give into their desires and let me tell you its steamy and red hot. Their relationship had me on an emotional roller coaster with the twists and revelations in this book. My heart got crushed and put back together a couple times in this book. Their happily ever after isn’t perfect, but it is theirs and I love that about Crystal’s books. I wish there was more of Sam and Sienna. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them.
This book can be read as a standalone. But if you want to be able to understand the backstories of all the characters in this book, I suggest reading Dirty Desires and Dirty Wedding first.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves a steamy story involving a Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome. The Hunt men are in a category of their own. I don’t think I will ever view a tall dark and handsome as anyone other than Ian, Ty, or Cam. If you are interested in reading more of Crystal’s books, I highly recommend the Inked Hearts and Inked Love series that are filled with brooding tattooed bad boys.
Holy hotness! Cam and Sienna put a whole new spin on dirty secrets.
Despite the age difference, there story was very warming and thought provoking. Well written and intricately woven storyline. What Sienna wanted, Cam knew he couldn’t have, but in her heart and mind, she knew that wouldn’t stop her, he knew it was forbidden, but being naive didn’t stop her, but the heart wanted, what the heart wanted, and what she wanted was Cam, he knew it too, and in the end they couldn’t deny the inevitable.
They embarked on a dirty secret affair, there was no way they could deny the flirting, teasing and the many sexual innuendos. Denying there attraction to one another was hard, but when they came together it was electrifying. When they get discovered by Ty and Indigo, it’s where they admit that they love each other, there relationship goes from forbidden to open, there love provocative, the romance heartwarming and beautiful, there love so passionate, they desire each other above all else, defying those who would get in there way.
The different points of view told a telling story, all connected very well, including the established family dynamics between Ian and Eve, Ty and Indigo and Cam and Sienna. This story is of finding ones self and confronting the past. This circle of family and friends is so close and tight nit nothing could break them apart.
Painful truths are exposed, the lies split open, that lead to the past issues colliding with the present, the emotional turmoil that Sienna and Cam experienced was raw as it was powerful, it was fast paced, exhilarating, the twists and turns, how they tested each other’s resolves before finally giving into their desires.
There were definitely moments that will make you laugh, cry, bang your head against the wall and say WTF, the reader will totally immerse themselves, to get lost in the entirety of the story, gasping for breath long after the story has finished.
There story was raw and sensual, as it was powerful and confronting. Even though they had issues they needed to work through, there love for each other heartbreakingly beautiful. It was fast paced and thrilling, it made my heart race and soar to unfathomable heights. The need to protect each other, to fight for dominance and possessiveness, the fear, to own, to retaliate, to take control, this is one family you certainly don’t want to mess with.
And those s€x scenes in and out of the bedroom were daring, the language and dirty talk was filthy, provocative, possessive, emotional, fun, flirty, intense, controlling, oh so steamy, deliciously wicked, dirty, hot, beautiful, sensually erotic, naughty, raw, rough, passionate, wet, dominating and wild. And there happily ever after was absolutely perfect, it couldn’t have been said any better if I had written it myself.
Indigo Simms and Tyler Hunt have loved each other for quite a long time and they're finally getting married. Indie's little sister, Sienna, is a college freshman and soccer/football star. Ty tasks his cousin, business partner and good friend, Cameron, to watch over her. That shouldn't be a problem, right? Not so fast! Sienna is a particularly inappropriate 18-year-old, with thoughts constantly on sex, and sex with Cam is what's on her mind. He is a British billionaire tech mogul, ten years her senior, and not interested in sex with a college freshman; at least that's what he tries to tell himself. His past is littered with the trauma of a sick love, one based on lies and manipulation, but it was the only thing he knew about love. Now he "hates" a woman after a one night stand, refuses to see anyone twice, and can't see himself capable of love, real love. But Sienna's a different type of woman and he finds himself flirting right back when she lays it on thick with him. They test each other by teasing, daring and even begging, but Cam knows his cousin and Sienna's sister would kill him if he touched her. That doesn't mean he doesn't want to, he just can't. He's still too much of a mess because of what happened to him. They try the platonic route, but the sexual tension is too much to ignore and Cam finally gives in to Sienna. He's different with her, but he still doesn't trust himself and, besides, he'll be leaving to go back to London right after the wedding. Their attraction is powerful and they have a lot in common. He loves watching Sienna play football, running with her and isn't averse to exploring a relationship. The time is coming soon when they have to say goodbye. Sienna and Cam are both miserable when they're apart, but he won't answer her texts or get in touch with her in any way. When they finally do see each other again, it becomes obvious that there's something there. Cam is worried that his secret can ruin them and he hasn't been able to tell anybody about the facts of what happened to him. Even though Sienna loves him, he just can't say those words back to her. It appears that it's too messy and complicated for them to ever get their HEA. This is an emotional book that had me tearing up for Cam. Sienna can wait for him to be ready for a commitment and her patience is rewarded. Dirty Secret is a wonderfully touching story!
I have spent the whole book with a smile in my face. I had a lot of fun. Cameron and Sienna are a couple that you are going to love. Sienna is a 18-year-old girl who has a crush on Cameron, who is the cousin of her sister’s fiancé, and 11 years older than her. Also she lives in NY where she studies and plays soccer and he lives in London. So Sienna knows that a relationship with Cameron is almost impossible, but that doesn’t stop her from dreaming about it and about him naked.😉 Their constant flirtation, Sienna’s non-filter are some of the things I liked the most about this book. And the sex is 🔥. Cameron is a man with an unattainable heart bc of something that happened to him in his teens, and he believes that all is lost for him, but Sienna achieves what seemed impossible for him: to love a woman and feel good doing it. Super fan of this series and the author. Totally recommendable.
😂😂😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
"You need to tell me, Cam. If you can't handle more, you need to tell me, because I'm going to lose control if I kiss you again." "You're going to lose control?" "Maybe. I don't know. I miss you so fucking much." "I miss you too." It feels good, being this close to her. Not complicated, not messy, not loaded. Right. "Has it really been four months?" she asks. I nod. "Are you going to come fast?" My laugh breaks the tension in my chest. "Did you just ask that?" "It's a fair question." Again, I laugh. "What? You haven't had sex in four months. It would be normal if you were quick. I don't mind." "I haven't said I'll fuck you." "Yeah, but if you do. We can… thirty minutes, right? We can go again in thirty minutes." "If I'm not ready in thirty minutes?" "It's been four months. You will be."
This is the next book in the Dirty series by Crystal Kaswell and it doesn't disappoint. There is a ten year age gap between Cam and Sienna. She is rather innocent though ready and willing to learn. When Sienna first met Cam they started flirting and it never stopped. He is in from London for his cousin and her sister's wedding. Ty, Sienna's soon to be brother in law, is rather protective of Sienna and wants Cam to keep an eye on her and make sure that she doesn't feel left out with the wedding. Sienna has felt like the fifth wheel since her sister started dating Ty. Besides the difference in wealth between the two they also have an age difference though less than Cam and Sienna. Can they keep their hands to themselves and not act on this electric pull between them? They both believe that nothing can come of them getting together. He lives in England. She has four years of college to get through before she can go off anywhere.
Cam's love experience has been jaded from his first experience with sex. Doesn't mean he isn't very good at it though he does not believe that he can love. His typical response after sleeping with someone is that he can't stand to be in the same space as them. Will Sienna take the risk? Will he crush her? Can they keep what happens a secret from everyone? This was a good story from start to finish and dealt with some good issues in a responsible way. This can be read as a stand alone though there are some characters from previous books. This is an easy one-click.
I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.
Dirty Secret is a standalone in Crystal’s Dirty Rich Series. However, if you have read Dirty Desires and/or Dirty Wedding Cam and Sienna will be familiar faces. Story is told in duel perspectives and deals with sensitive subject matters. If the following appeal to your reading senses- you are in the right place. ✔️dominant men ✔️headstrong, independent, and sexually open woman ✔️age-gap, ✔️forbidden romance ✔️HOT AF Scenes
Cameron Hunt tech mogul is visiting his family from London. Eighteen year old college student Sienna is forbidden fruit. She is the sister of his cousin/best friend,Ty’s, fiancée. These two enjoy pushing the boundaries between proper and inappropriate.
With Ty and Indigo’s wedding approaching, Cam and Sienna, spend a lot of time organizing details. Their desire for one another is boiling over. Despite being warned off one another - Cam and Sienna are inevitable. But, Cam has rules. Ones he expects feisty and headstrong Sienna to obey. One weekend to indulge in all their fantasies.
Cam is a broken man with a very skewed way of looking at sex, trust, and love due to an experience when he was younger. Sienna has been holding on to her virginity, despite her openness discussing sex. After their intense weekend together, Sienna knows, for her it’s not enough.
With some space and perspective- she is hopeful Cam will feel the same.
Cam is Ty's cousin, and Sienna is Indigo's younger sister. Everything surrounding the upcoming wedding of Ty and Indigo keeps throwing Cam and Sienna together. Sienna and Cam are attracted to each other but try to abide by Ty's warnings to stay away from each other. Cam is fighting demons from his past that leave him feeling empty and alone. After being with a woman, Cam ends up hating her and himself. Cam doesn't want that to happen with Sienna. Sienna is opinionated and her honesty is refreshing for Cam. Can Cam and Sienna keep their hands off each other as their flirtations become more serious? Are Cam and Sienna willing to put their family relationships on the line by becoming secret lovers? Can Sienna help Cam overcome his demons from his past? Can Cam help Sienna overcome her insecurities of losing her sister? Will Cam and Sienna confess their love for each other when they are discovered by Ty and Indigo? I absolutely loved Dirty Secret by Crystal Kaswell. Cam and Sienna are a great couple with scorching hot chemistry and dirty banter. I loved seeing Ty and Indigo, along with Ian and Eve, throughout Dirty Secret interacting with Cam and Indigo. I would highly recommend getting Dirty Secret and all the other books in The Dirty Rich series by Crystal Kaswell. I received an ARC copy of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
The story we've all be waiting for. Indigo's sister Sienna and Ty's crazy cousin Cam. We get to see them both come together while helping with Indigo and Ty's wedding. Ty puts Cam in charge of looking after his future sister-in-law. Both have some issues of their own with Sienna afraid she is going to lose her best friend/ sister (her only remaining family left). Cam on the other hand tends to be the life of the party but deep down he has a hard time letting people in and doesn't know what love really is.
Cam and Sienna are perfect together. I love how they have almost an immediate connection and just seem to get eachother so well. I enjoyed watching them come together over the course of the story.
I will have to say that I was a little annoyed with Indigo in this book. She seemed to be constantly judging Sienna and treated her like a child who didn't know what she was doing half the time. Almost like she was better than her. I get that Sienna is her baby sister and she wants to protect her but Sienna is old enough to make her own decisions. Other than that I really enjoyed their story. I would definitely reccomend you check out her whole Dirty Series, especially before you read Dirty Secret.
Let's start this review with a TRIGGER WARNING because where is psychological trauma from past childhood s3xual abuse but the references are not graphic. It is dealt with sensitively in context to the story, no way glamourises child abuse but actually showing the long lasting repercussions of it.
I've loved this series from the start and this is a perfect addition.
With it's sexy strong-willed age gap characters fighting for what they want this book is a winner from the first page; in fact it was on the cards from the previous book!
If you've read the previous book you know exactly what to expect from this one, and you won't be disappointed; in fact, hold on to your knickers because in my opinion this one is even hotter than the rest.
I did find that some areas of the book became a bit 'wordy' and lost me but not to the point that it caused me to stop reading. I also didn't like the use of the word 'bullocks'; it's not a word we British use, it definitely needs 2 'o's' in it!!!!
I loved this book, as I have every Crystal Kaswell book I've read and I'm totally recommending you add it to your kindle today xx

Dirty Secret is book 6 in the dirty series and even though you can read it as a stand alone I would suggest you read books 4 and 5 prior to reading it. The characters are all connected and you will enjoy the book so much more knowing who everyone is. Sienna is 18 but she sure is full of herself. She speaks her mind and is very curious about sex when Cam is given the job of watching out for her, she is in awe of him. They had already developed somewhat of a friendship but when he comes to the states for his cousins wedd10ing things explode. Cam is 10 years older than Sienna and he carries a secret from his past that won’t allow him to love a woman. Will Sienna be the one to change that? Crystal has once again brought us a story that some may be able to relate to and in my opinion, she did an awesome job. Cam and Sienna’s story is full of banter, angst, secrets, demons and holy moly the heat!!! I couldn’t put it down. I love to read and listen with whisper sync and this book was worth that audible credit. I love the accent of Robbie Martino he brings Cam to life and Vanessa Edwin does a great job as well. Great job! I received an arc copy of the book and I am freely leaving my review. Thanks for another great book Crystal.
A Chance To Heal And Love - Cam was allergic to relationships because of a trauma he suffered when he was a teenager, but spending time with Sienna seemed to sway his perspective. Sienna had been fantasising about Cam for a long while, but she couldn’t pursue it because of the potential consequences. The sparks that flew every time they were near each other was electric and moments of intimacy will leave you green with envy, but Cam’s deep seated issued made it impossible for them to embark on a true relationship.
It would take spending time together, combined with the support and understanding shown by Sienna for Cam to work towards letting go of the pain from his past. I spent most of the day reading this book and stayed up until two in the morning to finish it. I was so engrossed in the book that I just couldn’t stop reading until the end. The storyline set my heart racing and had adrenaline pumping fast through my body, as I read this beautifully written story with a gripping plot-line.

Dirty Secret is Cam and Sienna's rollercoaster ride to love with a lot of heat, a boatload of complications and a haunted past that wants to dictate their future. Cam and Sienna have been flirting for a while now, with Sienna's sister engaged to Cam's cousin and best friend, they've been thrown together on many occasions. What starts off as innocent flirting to annoy Ty, soon turns into longing looks, lingering touches and a lot of sexual tension. Cam and Sienna finally give in to their desires and decide that one night isn't enough, they should spend the weekend together and then they'll go back to their easy friendship and Cam will go back to his life in London. But a couple of days isn't enough, Sienna wants more, needs more but Cam is still haunted by his past and his last experience with what he thought was love. "I'll never be what she needs." Can he move past these hang ups he has about love or will he let the best thing that's ever happened to him get away? Read Dirty Secret now to find out! This is my favourite book out of the Dirty series and I could not put it down! I received an arc of Dirty Secret and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
Loved this book. It is now my favorite Crystal Kaswell book. It’s a great story and very emotional.
My heart broke for Cam. He had such trauma early in life. He closed himself off to so many good things in life. It was really interesting to read about this character. I was curious about him from previous books in this series. Sienna completely surprised him. His feelings for her knocked him right off his feet. He struggled to make sense of all he was feeling. Completely heartbreaking to watch him struggle.
I didn’t really connect with Sienna as her own character. I was more interested is how she was affecting Cam. She is young but life hasn’t been easy for her so in some ways she is quite mature. She’s seriously obsessed with sex and is constantly asking her sister about it. Well, and Cam and other friends and pretty much anyone. She was gentle and careful of Cam. I did very much appreciate how she treated him. It’s pretty obvious she loves him.
I cried my way thru the second half of the book. The relationship between Sienna and Cam became difficult and the pain the characters were feeling just hit me. I was so involved. It was awesome!!!
Dirty Secret by Crystal Kaswell is about a man, aged 28 with his cousin’s future wife’s 18-year-old sister. The story is a slow burn from their first kiss to exploring other ways to satisfy their yearning for each other until they combust into flames. Meanwhile, both Cam and Sienna try to keep their feelings well-hidden and desires under wrap so as not to induce the wrath of Ty and his threats to Cam for acting on his attraction for Sienna. Each tries to avoid the other and hold a tight rein on their desires only to find defenses down and passion overruling their heads. Cam’s experiences as a teen jaded all his future encounters with sex where he couldn’t recognize the feeling of love in his heart. Sienna knows how she feels and goes for the prize in Cam by revealing her heart only to have it crushed. Their journey to HEA is “weird and complicated and messy”, but it does happen. Characters from previous books interact with the characters in this book which is cool to see take place.
Sienna is a college freshman and soccer player. After years of it just being her and her sister Indigo trying to make ends meet, she has watched her sister find the man of her dreams, Ty, who happens to be very wealthy. She now lives in an apartment a few floors down from them. She has always harbored a crush on Cam, Ty’s cousin who lives in London but is Ty’s business partner and frequent visitor to NYC. Cam is a huge flirt but he uses his charm to cover up the pain he has from a relationship early in life. They both know that Ty and Indigo will not be happy if something happens between them. They try to resist but eventually come together for what they say will be one weekend only, but could it be more?
I have read most of the other books in this series as well. I will be honest that I do not normally enjoy age gap romances but I thought this one was well written (as all Crystal’s books are) and had some interesting story lines. Later in the book, Cam and Sienna make some mature choices - choices that are hard but in the end, benefit them both.
I read an Advance Reader Copy. This is my honest review.
Sienna, 18, is a college student who plays on the school’s soccer team and she fantasizes about the handsome, older Cam. Sienna’s sister is marrying Cam’s cousin and he is in from London for a few weeks for the wedding. Cam is a tech mogul who runs a business with his cousins but he has a big secret from his past and will not let himself love or commit to a relationship. Cam and Sienna have a flirty, teasing relationship and his cousin has asked him to keep her company. Will Cam reveal his secret to Sienna and will he ever be ready for a serious relationship?
I loved this story with Cam who had a secret in his past and no longer considered himself worthy of a relationship and I highly recommend reading it. Sienna cared about him and he told her he didn’t believe in love and was only willing to give her one night. His past changed his personal life but now he cared for her but wasn’t sure that he was ready for love. The epilogue was a great ending for their story.
