This title was the result of many years of teaching the subject to young children and of several more years in authoring it. The books is now considered in a classic in home schooling.

We read this book just a couple chapters at a time during family meeting. The first few chapters are a bit questionable, but they allowed us to discuss strange racial views prevalent in the 1940s. Aside from a few worldview issues, this was a FABULOUS overview of history. Highly recommend.
