Fighting #2

Fighting with Faith

Rate this book
Bentley
Growing up, my parents were the embodiment of love.
The perfect example of soulmates, and with that ideal, I couldn't wait to find my true love.
What I didn't realize was just because you love someone,
it doesn't mean they’re capable of loving you back.

The day I met her, my entire world shifted on its axis and I knew she was the one.
The problem was, how do you convince someone they’re your soulmate when they don't even believe in love? There was a time I believed that love truly conquered all, but now I'm losing Faith.

Kayla
My mom once said, "Love isn't concrete. It's an emotion, and emotions are abstract. They change. You don't make decisions based on something abstract because if you do, you’re setting yourself up for failure."

I didn't understand her words at the time. I was young and in love, and if you had asked me to define what I was feeling, it would’ve consisted of words such as affection, warmth, happiness, butterflies,
happily ever after.

Now, after experiencing heartbreak firsthand, my definition of love is a bit different.
It consists of words like messy, heartbreak, waste of time, unrealistic, fake.

Until I met him. He reminded me of all the words love felt like before my heart was broken.
He wanted to show me the beauty in the abstract, but all I could see was the concrete.

Holy hell, Nikki Ash has done it again. But this time, she has made me fall even more in love than I thought possible. I thought I loved Copper, but Bentley takes it to a whole new level.

This one goes back every now and then, to things that were in Fighting for a Second Chance and times within that story line. Which is important because that's when Kayla and Bentley first started their crazy back and forth.

Kayla was raised in a house were love isn't a thing. Her parents marriage is like every other thing in their lives, a business agreement. Both divorce lawyers, they believe love is a useless emotion that only leads to one thing, a broken heart. Kayla finds out at a young age, that's all too true. With having had her heart broken, she turns her back on love and happily ever after. Until a certain fighter waltz in to her life and stirs her icy heart. Sparks fly, chemistry burns bright, but when things get too complicated, she runs. Running is what Kayla is good at. She runs because was scared. But that fear causes her to over look what is right in front of her, Bentley.

Bentley has put his heart out there countless times. All he is waiting for, is for Kayla to do the same. He knows she doesn't believe in love, but can never figure out why. When he finally gets the whole story and sees things through her eyes, he understands, but that doesn't mean he likes it. Because of her past, and her parents crazy outlook on life, not only is Kayla's heart messed up, but so is her head. And that confuses the hell out of Bentley. He grew up in a home where love was over flowing and endless. Love comes easy to him and it's not something he takes lightly. When Kayla runs, he tries to move on the best way he can. But when he finally sees Kayla after a few months though, things change. DRASTICALLY!!

Bentley just melted my heart. I have swooned and fell in love with countless book boyfriends, but he is just IT!! His love, his patience, his understand, everything is just so perfect. He is everything an amazing woman would want and need. Good thing he's a fighter, because with Kayla he needs all the training he's ever had to go face to face in a ring for her heart. It's definitely not easy, and more than once he gives up, but he realizes he needs her so much more than he could have ever thought.

I hated Kayla's patents from the get go. I could never understand how, and why a mother would be like that to her children. Just plain awful. I was so glad that Kayla had amazing friends who could be her family, because she definitely needed it. Her struggles to understand life, the possibility of love, and finding happiness was a hard and messy one. She hurt a few people along the way, unintentionally, but hurt them none the less. She knows she is broken, and things Bentley is better off finding someone else. Even while she thinks she incapable of love, she shows it all the time to the ones who mean the most to her. She is selfless and does anything for those people.

We get more of Caleb in this story also, and I can't wait to read his book. I feel like it's gonna be an intense one.

I loved seeing more of Liz and Copper. I love catching up and seeing how their lives and love are going.

Kayla’s view on love is jaded thanks to her parents who taught her that marriage is like a business commitment. She should marry someone with a good job, money, secured. Affection, love and HEA is not for real.
Kayla and Bentley have known each other once in the past – after one night together Kayla ran away before ever giving Bentley a chance. Several years later they crossed paths again. Bentley believes that Kayla is his soulmate and that they were meant to be but Kayla has a different idea – her view on love hasn’t changed. Bentley is determined to change Kayla’s mind this time around. Because of this plot – the relationship between Kayla and Bentley is turbulent with lots of ups and downs, and push and pull between them. I really like Bentley – he is kind, caring, affectionate, and has the patience of a saint. Bentley is fighting an uphill battle with Kayla knowing that it will be difficult to convince her that true love does exist. Kayla I think is a weaker character. She was young when her mother poisoned her mind with all the negativity, but she continued to fall into her mother’s manipulation as an adult. She is also too afraid of getting hurt even after Bentley proven that he can takes care of her. The author did a good job with the chemistry between these two though – lots of angst and sexiness. Bentley is definitely swoony and hot in the bedroom. Overall, Fighting with faith is a sweet sexy second chance romance. There is a tiny cliffhanger at the end which give you a glimpse into the next book – I am looking forward to Caleb.

5 make you want it all stars!! I was in love with Book one little did I know Book two is just as good!!

I am sure this can be read as a stand alone but I highly suggest reading "Fighting For a Second Chance" first. You will not be disappointed!! I grew to love all these characters in the first book, so this book was like talking about my friends.

So we know from the first book that Kayla was taught from a young age that love didn't exist. Marriage was only a business proposal and yada yada...oh my gosh her parents make me want to throat punch them. So Kayla has been very jaded and never does commitment. Kayla does annoy the hell out of me let me put that out there. She had her broke at like 15 get over it. But moving on she meets Bentley and he wants to make her believe in love. But she just refuses and when a little surprise is let out of the bag at the very beginning of the book, Kayla realizes Bentley is going to keep chipping at the ice around her heart.

Bentley is beautiful! He is the type of man every woman deserves. He such a sweet man yet a sexy beast in the bedroom. He comes from two loving parents and just can't understand why Kayla won't let him in. If he really wants her he is gonna have the fight of his life!!

I feel like this is like the first book but roles are reversed and not in a bad way at all. I love it. I think Bentley deserves the world. He has the patience of a god!! Kayla drove me nuts but I understood where she was coming from and Bentley loved her enough for the both of them.

This was a very well written book that had me so invested I could not put it down for even a minute. I know every one of these characters like they were my friends and family. The author drew me into their world and I was just a fly on the wall. I love also how she went back and showed stuff we didn't know that was going on from the first book. Also I am super EXCITED to read the next book about Caleb. I know he had some demons he is fighting. What a great read. Another must read!!

**I received this book as an ARC and in return I gave my honest review**

I'm not interested in this story for the simple reason the female mc here was the bff of female mc from first book and she is one of those whose parents have a shitting convenient marriage and because of that she doesn't believe in love and long term relationships. So she only has casual sex and never exchanged numbers. OMG I'm so annoyed writing this because besides being overused plot it's also ridiculous.

It was.....ok! Totally readable for one of those in between books you sometime need that take very little effort!

There was one thing that played on my mind with this story though. Bentley after swearing up and down that he loved the h met someone else less than a month after.....even though the h was currently his room mate?? Hmmm douche move then bringing new girlfriend home....absolutely! But once you find out that h is pregnant he dumps new girlfriend (after a week I think) then starts proclaiming his undivided love for the h again (talk about fickle)

I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this book after reading the 1st one in this series (which is about an accidental pregnancy too.....wrap it up people!!!) but I hoped after it was explained that nothing happened with the 1st woman ( yes there was another one he didn't sleep with thou) Bentley bought home, that he'd be an honest gentleman, finding out he was in a serious relationship less than a month after declaring his love for h, undermined his feelings for me!

Which is a shame since Bentley was my favourite!

4.5 Faith Filled Stars!

After reading the first book in this series, I was more than impressed, and super excited to get ahold of Bentley and Kayla's story. It did not disappoint!

First off, can I just say how much I could't stand Kayla's crouch rot, of a snooty mother! UGH...talk about brain washing...I wanted to throats punch her throughout this book! Kayla let her fears if falling In Love rule her life, as a result. Bentley was EVERYTHING...but it's no wonder with the loving, supportive family he had. Their story was a super sweet, angsty sort.

Biting at the bit to get ahold of Caleb and Haley's story!

First of all, let me just say I love, love Bentley Cruz!!
While I was reading Fighting for a Second Chance I kept wondering about Kayla and Bentley. I knew there was more to their story and I was very excited to read it. The author gave everything I was wanting and more in this book.

While most mom's are having girl talks with their daughter's about dating boys and letting them know that some boys will break her heart, yet there is that special one out there that is meant for them, Kayla's mom tells her that love is a useless emotion and isn't real. She tells her to be in a relationship to get something out of it but never for love.

Bentley tries numerous times to get Kayla to believe in love and to trust him not to break her heart. He was raised in a loving family with parents who dotes on one another. Kayla runs from him but when he finally sees her he realizes he has to fight for the both of them.

Now, let me tell you how much I love and adore Bentley. He is a nurturer by heart and loves with everything in him. He takes care of Kayla as much as she will let him. He had so much patience with her and I could tell he was frustrated but he seen the fight for love through. If I wrote on paper what I would want in a man for my daughters it would be a man like Bentley Cruz. I swooned on every page over Bentley. He is the man!!

I was glad to get more of Cooper, Liz and Bella's story In this book.

After reading the first novel in the Fighting Series, I was really intrigued about Kayla and Bentley’s puzzling dynamic where lurks a raging attraction. It was so easy to feel their intense chemistry as supporting characters that Fighting with Faith guaranteed another wonderful read. Nikki Ash certainly achieved to steal my heart once again with this incredible couple and swoon worthy romance!

She fashioned such a sweet and caring hero in Bentley Cruz. That man is so in love with Kayla it’s so beautiful, but also heartbreaking. As much as he knows she’s the one from the moment they meet, the girl has a deep-rooted fear of commitment, making their romance hectic with all the push and pull! One thing is clear though, she’s in total denial of her true feelings for Bentley that are so apparent. Every scene shared between those two is truly beautiful, passionate and poignant.

Kayla has a very sassy personality and brings humor to this story. I enjoyed her repartees that had me cracking up so often. Under it all though, she’s hiding a profound fear of love and it brought me to tears to see her struggle with opening her heart to the man she truly love.

Kayla’s surprise pregnancy and subsequent arrival of her baby is really the key to acknowledge her feelings. How can she resist Bentley and his appeal as a daddy! He’s just irresistible and so caring… awww!

Fighting with Faith was another addictive read that brought me all the feels! It also showed us a little bit of Caleb and Hayley, the couple features in the next novel! The mystery around them has me genuinely thrilled for Fighting for your Touch!

Believing in Love

Nikki Ash Fighting bk 02 Fighting with Faith

First, there are a ton of spoilers for Fighting for a Second Chance. A 💩 ton. If you haven't read it, it's a good book and reading it before this is recommended.

Kayla Peterson has got some serious baggage compliments of her parents. I like that we get to see where it starts and how it morphs and grows even as I shake my head at her parents' lack of emotional connection to each other and their children.

On the flip side, Bentley Cruz has the patience of a saint. He's easy to like and when Kayla lets him in, he really steps up.

I love when things between them combust in pleasurable ways. ❤️ They definitely have great chemistry when outside forces don't get in the way.

Chemistry between Bentley and I has never been the problem. The problem is the fact that Bentley wants more and more leads to heartbreak and embarrassment.
-- Kayla Peterson

I absolutely LOVE Bentley's mom, Kathleen, his dad is no slouch either, but the way Kathleen just accepts Kayla and Bentley's other friends with open arms, making sure they all know parental love is awesome. They both prove again and again that they're there to support in any way they can. I love that!

I read along with the audio book. The narrators are Auri Alden and Theo Sinclair. I really liked both. They were each easy to listen to.

Story: 4 stars
Narration: 4 stars

Fighting with Faith is the second book in the Fighting series. It sees Kayla and Bentley, who were secondary characters in Fighting For A Second Chance, having their own story. This was pretty much inevitable, there were snippets in FFASC that you knew it was leading that way.

Kayla and Bently have had a couple of one time flings in the past but at the end of FFASC we see Kayla flee Vegas and head back to her home growing up in Florida.

Fighting With Faith is a fast forward 16 weeks later and to a very pregnant Kayla. Only Bentley isn't aware, so imagine his surprise when tagging along with the rest of the gang to visit Kayla, she opens the door and reveals her pregnancy. Knowing he is the father only enforces his resolve to win Kayla (the sceptic on love) around.

What happens throughout the book is a struggle to overcome past heartbreaks and future relationships. A journey of believing in love and being happy.

I have to admit, I enjoyed this second book more than the first even though I really liked that. This had more angst and tension which is something I really like in a story. It had a more, 'will they, won't they' vibe.

I liked Bentley's character but wasn't much keen on the name, personal preference of course. Bentley knew he loved Kayla from the minute he'd met her, he just has to get her to see that. Kayla was spunky but afraid. Afraid to love, be loved and to let go of her past relationship inhibitions due to past traumas and neglectful parents. Kayla and Bentley had a hot chemistry, the sex was hot and steamy and just enough.

I really enjoyed it and I look forward to the next in the series. I would definitely recommend this series.

Happy Reading :-)

You meet Bentley and Kayla in book one Fighting For A Second Chance and come to love both. In Fighting With Faith your love for them grows stronger. Bentley is the guy that every girl should want. He is caring, loyal, passionate, an occasional pain in the @ss (but aren't all men at times) and sexy as all get up. Kayla is the strong chick who on the outside acts strong but on the inside she isn't all put together.

How do you combat against one who doesn't believe in love but you are 100% all in and are sure she is your soul mate and were meant to be together? The struggle is real for Bentley. Fighting With Faith takes you back and forth between the past and present and how Bentley and Kayla's story came to be. (I loved learning the behind the scenes stuff that may or may not have happened in Fighting For A Second Chance. You don't necessarily need to read book one to enjoy this book but I do think it would help out certain aspects of it.) Bentley and Kayla are definitely polar opposites in almost every aspect but the heart knows what the heart wants. There relationship or lack of is put to the test numerous times. I had the need to scream a time or two but I think I held myself together.

Nikki Ash has once again drawn me into a world I wish I was a part of. This book like the first captured my heart and pulled me in all sorts of different directions. I highly recommend this book and loved every minute of it.

Ummm....when is Caleb's book coming? I almost screamed after reading the extended epilogue...ugh you are seriously killing me Nikki Ash.

Kayla is broken and doesn't belive in love, it only leads to heartache and ugliness. you get to see points in the past and references are made to book 1 (you Don't have to read it to follow but for full effect I recommend). Bently is so dead set on finding love and Kayla finding love he cements himself in the unwavering devotion to her, you almost feel sorry for him. but you sure do fall hard for him, a book boyfriend I am glad I added to my pile. definitely a must read!

Fighting with Faith is the second book in the Fighting series, but it can be read as a standalone.

Kayla wanted to believe in love, despite her parents telling her it didn’t exist. When she fell in love at a young age, she got her heart broken. So she believed her parents and stopped believing in love. Until she met Bentley. But she was still scared and insecure because of what happened in the past.

I felt so bad for Kayla at the start of the book. She was so young, and her “boyfriend” was a real POS. I just wish something had happened to him after. I understood why she was so scared of trusting Bentley after that.

Bentley was so sweet with Kayla. He grew up with loving parents, and he just wanted to show Kayla he was going to be there for her, that he loved her. And even though she had her walls up, he was determined to show her he wasn’t like her ex.

What I didn’t like though was that he immediately dated someone else, but he was just using the other girl to get over Kayla.

This was angsty and messy, but there was also healing and a lot of love.

Audio:
Narrators: Auri Alden and Theo Sinclair
Style: Dual

Both are new-to-me narrators, and I thought they did an excellent job bringing the story to life. Auri brought all the emotions of Kayla to life. And Theo did a great job with all of the frustrations and love Bentley had for Kayla.

This is book 2 in Ash's Fighting Series and OMG I was left gasping and yelling NO! BUT what a fantastic listen! Dual narrators Alden and Sinclair deliver in bringing all our characters to life - but main characters Bentley and Kayla especially. Bentley is a believer in true love and when he meets Kayla it's game over for him - but Kayla has been hurt and hurt deeply and her parents (mother especially) are horrible examples and less than supportive - I dare say emotionally abusive which has caused Kayla to not only not believe in soulmates but love at all. So many trials and twist that keep these two from finding their HEA but with a lil Faith a lot can happen. Well written, I was concerned initially with the time back and forth in the beginning, but I understand getting the history of these characters in place and found it helpful overall. Great level of sweet and steam and plenty of angst. A great listen and I cannot wait for book 3!

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.

Read and reviewed on behalf of my Blog.... Bangor Belle Book Besties

This is the story of Bentley and Kayla. Two people from backgrounds that couldn’t be more opposite. Bentley has been raised in a warm, loving and close family. He’s affectionate, caring, loves hard and Loyal.

Kayla on the other hand has been raised by two workaholic Divorce Lawyers, no affection and always left feeling that she is never enough, and never to depend on love…. Its a dream and always ends !!

So along comes Bentley, he’s hot, he’s sexy and kinda hard to resist. The inevitable happens after a drunken night and Kayla lets down those walls, and she ends up pregnant. Kayla does the only thing she feels she can do and she runs back home. Bentley has a huge fight on his hands to try to get her back.

I really enjoyed this story and i don’t want to give a lot away, lets just say you will not be bored !! The chemistry is HOT, and Bentley even hotter !!! Kayla did annoy me at times, i wanted to kick her butt on many occasions, she really needed to kick that mother of her’s right to the kerb !!! I loved the journey we traveled along with this couple and group of friends and we get to know them pretty well !! Caleb really caught my attention. I had lots of laughs but i had more tears through this book, a couple of times i had to set it down just to settle my emotions. This is an easy book to read, a hard book to put down and so heartwarming! Now i can’t wait for the next book !!!

Still making my way through the author’s early backlist reads. I love found family stories and glad to keep learning more about this crew, but Kayla needed to STOP listening to her parents and just accept what she felt for Bentley. She played hard to get for TOO long, and she could only use her parents as an excuse for so long.

(I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.) This is the follow up book to Fighting for a Second Chance and tells the story of Kayla and Bentley this time. I honestly can say I like this book even more. I find myself more emotionally invested in this couple. Kayla's family is so messed up, her parents marriage is more of a business alliance and what happened to her when she was a teenager was the reason why she has that attitude towards love. Ah what can I say about Bentley? His love for Kayla more than makes up for her pragmatic view of a proper relationship. We also get to see their friends in this book and some additional interesting characters. I can't wait to read the next book which is about Caleb. A four and half stars rating from me!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

Ahhhh Bentley and Kayla's book!

Kayla, Liz's best friend, was raised not to believe in love while Bentley, Cooper's friend, was raised seeing true love at its finest. Kayla and Bentley have a connection that started six years ago but Kayla ran away from any chance of love. Bentley never gave up on finding Kayla the woman he believed was his soulmate.

Now six years later, they are together again, but Kayla still isn't ready. Kayla leaves all her loved ones behind once she gets some life changing news, but can she really keep her secret from her loved ones? When Bentley learns her secret will he finally give up?

I adored Bentley, he was so swoon-worthy and a true man. While at times I wanted to shake Kayla you could understand where her relationship problems came from. The people who were suppose to show her love failed her and made her fear love.

I need Caleb's book! There's a mini cliffhanger and I need to know what happened to him.

Holy Amazeballs!! I loved Kayla and Bentley's story. Although at times I wanted to smack Kayla upside the head and tell her to open her eyes and SEE what was right in front of her. To have a man like Bentley... SWOON...

Kayla's views of love and relationships are beyond jaded. Her parents taught her that marriage is more a business arrangement than it is love. That if you let your feelings and love into the mix you will ALWAYS end up hurt. When Kayla was young this is exactly what happened.. Thinking she was in love. After her mother basically telling her 'I told you so' She's on a mission to never hear those words from her parents again.

Bentley and Kayla met at the same time Liz and Cooper met. Down in Miami on vacation, but after their time together Bentley knew Kayla was the one for him, whereas Kayla up and ran. Now 5 years later like Coop and Liz, they are all reunited. Kayla hasn't changed her view on love and relationships.

But Bentley is hell bent on showing Kayla what true love is and show her that it really does exist. But Kayla dodges it at all moments.

Nikki does an amazing job with this story. I thought Fighting for a Second Chance was really good and I can honestly say this one is even better. Now I am patiently waiting to see what Nikki comes out with next especially with the little bonus epilogue she gave us that leaves us hanging. I NEED CALEB!!!!

Reviewing for Triple B's Book Blog.
I received an ARC copy of Fighting With Faith in return for an honest review.
To be perfectly honest I couldn't wait to read Kayla and Bently's story after reading the first book in the Fighting series.
It most definitely did not disappoint!
I am so glad I stumbled across Nikki Ash because she has now become an author who I will look forward to reading her future releases.
Kayla and Bently were secondary characters in Fighting For A Second Chance.
Their story picks up a few months later.
I'm not going to give spoilers as it really deserves to be discovered and enjoyed by each person!
I will however say that it has many things that I absolutely love in a book, there is plenty of will they won't they, there are smiles and heart warming moments but there is lots of angst too ( but no real dark times).
It's great to read a book where the hero is not only alpha but 100% sure of his feelings for the girl right from the get go!
She is sassy and fearless except when it comes to loving someone.
Can he get her to see that love really can exist? That fairytales can become reality?
I can't wait to see what Nikki Ash brings us next!

**** 4 Cranky Stars ****

Author Nikki ash has created another knock out.

Kayla can never have a relationship that involves love. Her parent's marriage is a contract, based on two people that split everything. They always told her that marriage should be like a business partnerships not one based on happy ever afters. She tried once to prove her parent's wrong and gave love a try only for it to prove to her that her mother was right. But now, she has even made a bigger mess and runs home to hide from a man she can't give her heart to and hide a secret she is not sure how to handle.

Bentley has given up. What more can he do other than to move on and let Kayla go. That was until he discovers the secret she has been keeping from him. Now he will just have to have faith for both of them and show her how to give him a chance to find their happy ever after.

This is the second book in the series and it picks up very close to where the first book leaves off... Kayla doesn't believe in love and shuts herself off trying to keep heart intact, but there is always one and Kayla's one is Bentley, she met him that night in Miami.

Upon meeting again five years later Bentley more than shows Kayla he's the man for her, but she is still reluctant to give him a chance and continually pushes him away. You can tell Kayla wants Bentley, but she's too scared.

However, after a few months of being around each other their circumstances change, can this be a chance for Bentley to more than prove he's what Kayla wants and needs and breaks down her defences.

I preferred this book to the first one, while some of it had the same kind of themes I like this one much better.

I received this book in return for my honest opinion.

This is the second book in the Fighting Series and even though it can be read as a stand-alone it is best to read Fighting For A Second Chance first to understand the characters better.

Kayla Peterson does not believe in love. Her parents have a "business" marriage that works for them but their children grew up with nannies and very little love. Yet Kayla herself has a huge amount of love for her best friend Liz and her daughter Bella. When Kayla was 18 she met Bentley Cruz in Miami and the two shared a day together that neither would ever forget.

Bentley Cruz grew up in house where his parents loved each other and love was something that Bentley wanted for himself.

When Bentley and Kayla meet up in Las Vegas 5 years later, neither has forgotten the other. Bentley wants to show Kayla how much she means to him but she keeps running from him every time he tries to open up to her.

When circumstances change and Kayla leaves Las Vegas for Florida what will Bentley do when he discovers the truth? Will Kayla finally understand the real meaning behind love or will her parents cost her every chance at happiness?

So in this story I was mad at Kayla several times where as the first book I absolutely loved her. I was so mad at how much control her parents grabbed over her view of love and happiness. Kayla was pushing for Liz and Cooper to find their happy ever after yet she couldn't believe in one for herself. I know she was used by Jake in high school and she couldn't seem to put that event in her past and allow herself a real chance at love.

Bentley was pushed to the extreme in this book with his emotions and I could understand the times that he got so frustrated and walked away. Yet at the same time he was always there for Kayla whenever she needed him to be.

I was definitely worried about what was going to happen in the hospital. I was so happy with the changes that Bentley's parents made to help everyone out. I think that really showed Kayla what love really is and how her parents just didn't have it.

I knew that money was no issue for Bentley but had no real clue on why and I can see why Kayla was a little scared about how they would survive financially with Bentley not working. Then the whole blow up due to her parents involvement wouldn't have happened.

The book kind of gives you a hidden cliffhanger for the authors next book and I can't wait for that one to come out!

So this morning I woke to find fighting with faith by Nikki Ash on my kindle in exchange for an honest review. Since reading book one in the Fighting series Fighting For A Second Chance I have been desperate for this book. Although these books can be read as standalones I would recommend you start with book one as you will fall in love with these characters and gain so much more from the books.

Book two is all about Kayla and Bentley 's story. They both come from completely different backgrounds. Bentley's being extremely close to his parents who show their love for each other every chance they get, being supportive, loving and reliable. Experiencing this has made this hard alpha male love hard with everything he has got and once he met Kayla he was willing to put his heart on the line for her. Kayla on the other hand was brought up with a nanny. Her parents both workaholics and putting their high profile cases before family. There is very little affection just constant reminders of love being nothing but niave dreams. With constant negative advice been given to her and a bad childhood experience Kayla doesn't want to believe in love and guards her heart very closely. Bentley comes along and gradually chips away at that wall and one drunken night of lust leads to Kayla falling pregnant and doing what she does best ........RUN !! The fight is on for both of them to be together.

I don't like spoilers so I'm not going to say anything more about the storyline so you will just need to go out and buy it to figure out what happens next. I will however say that Bentley will swoop you off of your feet and make you fall in love with him a thousand times. He certainly knows how to fight for what he wants. Kayla bless I just want to scoop her lovable ass up and squeeze her tight and shout at her to just follow her heart and trust Bentley.

We also get to see snippets of other characters in the group one being Caleb when he becomes a true friend to Kayla and supports her. We start to see this gentle giant has a lot of secrets hidden away and Kayla has been the one to get the closest with silent understanding caleb has learnt to trust her and feels comfortable to be around her the most.

This book is an easy read and I haven't been able to put it down all day until it was finished. I am really looking forward to the next book this one being calebs. I am very entrigued to find out who Caleb is what makes this kind, loveable secretive man tick and why he can't trust or touch anyone apart from Kayla. Another great read and a well deserved 5***** review.
