This is the first story in a series about a group of dragons that live in the Everglades. Milo has a job at a bar and one night he picked up a woman who was a panther shifter. Some months later he wakes to find that a baby girl has been abandoned on his doorstep. Her mother is the panther shifter and apparently, Milo is the baby daddy. He panics and probably would have taken the baby to his family or something, but his next-door neighbor hears the child crying and comes over to find out what is going on.
Kate has had a crush on Milo for years. His sister was her best friend and she mooned over him every chance she got. Raised to be independent and capable of doing pretty much anything for herself, Kate has a satisfactory life, but she is still lonely at night. It doesn't help that MIlo lives right next door but has never shown any interest in her romantically. When she thinks she hears the sound of a baby wailing away next door, she goes to investigate and finds Milo in a state of shock. He suddenly has a baby daughter and has absolutely no idea what to do. She tells him to go to work and pick up baby supplies on his way home and she will stay with the child. She is sure once he has time to digest the event he will step up and be fine.
Milo is managing not to completely fall apart because he has Kate to help him out, but surely that can't go on forever. When his sister tells him to hire Kate as his nanny, he realizes that if she will take the job he won't feel so guilty about her taking care of the baby every day while he is gone. Kate does accept the position, but there is no way these two are going to be able to be just employer and employee. What is going to happen when they give in to the passion that is growing between them? And how are they going to handle it if the baby momma turns up and wants to play family with Milo and baby Rose?

a decent read
Dragon shifter Milo a bartender had a one night stand w/ a “panther”shifter whom, a year and a half later dumps a 7month old baby girl on Milo’s doorstep. The “”are because apparently the author is unaware that a sand colored “panther” is actually a puma, not a panther but whatever. Doesn’t affect the story. Anyhow the girl next door Kate also dragon shifter has always had a crush on Milo never said anything. Anyhow she becomes vital to Milo helping him learn how to “dad”.
But in the Everglades, puma’s er’ I mean “panthers” have a volatile relationship mostly over territory. And there seems to be a nasty plot afoot with regards to lil baby Rose’s blood mother. My only real issue with this book is, I was expecting the dragon’s to all pull together to deal with the dragon/panther situation. And Milo was basically on his own. while Kate protected Rose.

I was totally surprised that Milo honestly had no idea what he had going for himself.
And as for Kate, hiding herself away from life when it was living right next door.
If it wasn't for Milo's little gift left on his doorstep they never would of known.
And that little gift came with baggage of its own but wow was it worth it in the end.
I really enjoyed reading about these two coming together as one (three) and love the idea of this being the beginning of another series.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of this authors work so far and this did not let me down.
Looking forward to the next installment.

DADDY DRAGON, A Dragon Shifter Nanny Romance and the first installment in the Everglades Dragon Daddies series by Kayla Wolf. Ms. Wolf has done an awesome job bringing the characters to life. Her descriptive writing, detail and realistic scenes bring the story to life. While there is not a lot of action, there is enough to keep you intrigued. The romance is totally different than the normal shifter looking for a mate story.
Milo is woken up by a baby crying. Walking out his front door he is confronted by a small infant. Before he can process what's happening, his next door neighbor Kate appears and takes over since Milo appears frozen in place.
Get ready for some fun as this clueless male tries to take care of this abandoned baby, that might be his.
This storyline is great, entertaining with some steamy scenes. I really enjoyed reading this book. I did receive this book from the author and am leaving my voluntary review.

Quick read, sweet romance, a bit of trouble

Milo has a normal everyday life, work , home friends. Then suddenly it is rocked, by a screaming baby left on his porch.
Read how Katie, Milo and little Rose become a family, only after a major bump in the road and an attack.

Dragon Daddy
Characters well developed but the storyline did not follow well. Some aspects were a disappointment and didn't jive the concept of mates. The lack of recognition of his mate and his being able to ignore her was jarring. Her acceptance of his behavior and her willness to accept Gloria in his life as well in the Rose's life was not believable. I was somewhat disappointed in this one.
Characters well developed but the storyline did not follow well. Some aspects were a disappointment and didn't jive the concept of mates. Milo & Kate > he just had a baby dump on his doorstep and doesn't know what to do with it, he's in shock and he's all alone. She is his neighbor and has been taught to take care of herself when she hears this baby crying and that's where she finds him just looking at the baby. The characters throughout this book will take you through twist and turns throughout the book until you get to the end.

Surprise your a daddy!
Milo gets a surprise of a lifetime when he finds a baby has been left on his doorstep. He's doesn't know what he is going to do. His neighbor Kate shows up to help. He doesn't realize that fate has a plan. I really enjoyed this book. It has the perfect mix romance and a story to tell. A must read! A great short read to spend an afternoon to yourself.

First book in the series! I'm so excited!
If you've never read any of Kayla's books you are in for a treat. Grab the start of the everglades dragon's but be prepared to not being able to put it down! This is a girl next door book rushing to help her neighbor when he finds a baby left on his porch. Twists, turns and a satisfying HEA. I'm off to get the next book because I can't stop!!

I really enjoyed this book. Kate and Milo were great together and had amazing chemistry. The story was well-written with an entertaining storyline that had action, drama, intrigue, mystery, emotions and love. Highly recommended!

Captivating
Kayla did a wonderful job of drawing me into the story and keeping me in it. I was truly captivated from the start had, hard time putting the story down. I was glad everything works out to them all. You won't be sorry if you read this book. I'm starting the 2nd book right now.

Just food for thought- sometimes everything you want is right in front of you all you have to do is open your eyes.

Sweet story
Too much introspection for me. I much prefer seeing a plot advance through action and dialogue, but the characters and story were sweet. I really wish more of the secondary characters had been seen, and if the following stories are this exclusive I may not bother reading them all. I'm hoping this author improves as the series moves on.

Milo ends up with an unknown baby on his doorstep.
Neighbor Kate immediately steps in and soon they are raising his kid together. I’m never thrilled with a secret baby and less thrilled that Kate is raising someone else’s kid. While I liked the characters, the premise isn’t my fave.

Good feel story

Sweet.... I have been reading a lot of dark hard romance and this is a breath of fresh air.

Interesting
An absolutely beautiful way to introduce a new series and a interesting species of Dragons. I was hooked by the fact that they were Everglades dragons and so interested in their appearance. Of course the romance part was great too lol.
