I know its wrong to hate on underage girls but can her bitch sister get taken down a notch. I hate ungrateful brats and Erin is one. I get she had a shit upbringing but so did Rain/ I hate the older sister martyr motif - lived it hated it. On the other hand Rain's defeatist attitude drove me nuts in this book. I am starting to find it hard to root for anyone. I do find Sonya intriguing though :-

4 stars because I like this author... I like the shift in storyline with this series compared to the other series (which I loved just glad she did something different) however multiple times it would say Sofia when the characters name was Sonya... if you want a quick read that doesn’t require much thinking this is the series for that - I am looking forward to the 3rd and wondering what that book will bring for these characters

If you want a book hangover we’ll read this series….. Rain meets Vincent and it is older man and age gap love… but wait… Rain gave her heart away a long time ago to Zack. This series has it all… love, mafia, and second chance at love. Please know there could be triggers for people of violence and sexual abuse.

OK these books were on Kindle Unlimited and now I have to buy books 3 & 4 if I want to continue to read them? NO I will not. Had I know this I would have NOT read any of them. This was an "ok" series. Not good enough to buy the books. Rain is a spinless no reading qualities H. Vincent is a bully. They story isn't something that keeps you vested and want to know more.

I did NOT finish this book or series because I read the first book back in 2020, Claimed, and while I forget there was a reason for not continuing I purchased the second book two years later and now I remember! Long drawn out same old story.

The story continues, as Rain gets to know the real man behind the facade that is her fiance, Zach canoes back into the picture. So good and edgy. I look forward to the next book in the series.
