Whiskey Ridge meets Hope Falls in this heartwarming romance...
When Robbie Brooks finally comes back home to Hope Falls, his plan is to avoid the one woman he doesn't want to see. But he has no idea that a new woman will be coming into his world and there's no way he can avoid her.
Will he open his heart again or leave town for good?
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
This was a short novella read, that blended two different towns written by Rachel Hanna. I enjoyed watching Cate and Drew fall in love with the help of Drew's family. And the lengths that Drew went to keep out of his ex's way. If you want a quick wonderful read, then this is a book you will enjoy. It had lots of amusing moments that will make you chuckle and a lot of sighing when these two young people get together.
I enjoyed the story about Cat and Drew. I'm a little confused, though. I haven't read any other books in this series so maybe there's an explanation in another book. The blurb here on Goodreads talks about Robbie Brooks, not Drew Milton, but the name Robbie isn't mentioned anywhere in the story. The only reference that comes close is when Cat notices the initials RB on one of Drew's paintings. Back to Cat and Drew. They started out at odds with each other because Drew was bound and determined to make her hate him. She confronts him. They slowly get to know each other, and feelings develop. But he'll be leaving soon to return to his life in New York City and her job as his father's physical therapist will be ending soon so there's no way they could have a relationship. Or is there?
Drew Milton left his home of January Cove after college graduation as his high school and college sweetheart, Kate, had cheated on him and married another man and lived in town. Now a few years later, his father fell off a ladder and his mother needs his help. Sh can’t take care of his father and run their ice cream store. He comes home to help. The family ends up hiring Cat Morgan from Whiskey Cove as his father’s physical therapist. She is beautiful, but Drew is stand offish at first. This was a sweet love story with a few misunderstandings and a lot of love. I enjoyed the book and encourage you to read it, I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader’s Copy of this book.
Drew & Cat are drawn together despite their differences. Drew has been hurt in the past and is afraid to put himself on the line again. Cat is new in town & hoping to make January Cove home. Drew is determined to head back to New York. Can they find away to get together?
This was another sweet January Cove romance. It can be read as a stand alone since it is self-contained. I enjoyed the peek into the other January Cove inhabitants lives. The town has become as warm & comfortable as my home town & each insight is a joy. I love Uncle Joe!! His wit adds to the story for the brief time he’s a part of it & the interactions between him & Drew’s Dad are hilarious.
Cute book. Closed door. No spice, but a decent plot. This was a novella. Drew left home after a heartbreak. While living in NYC, he hasn't returned home in years despite what his mother wants. His cheating ex is there with her family. When his father takes a fall, Drew is forced to come home and help with dad and the business. Cat is looking for a job. New in town, she meets Uncle Joe. Uncle Joe calls her for an interview with his brother's family. Drew, Clark, his dad, and Susan, his mom, are looking for someone for Clark. A good physical therapist . When Drew and Cat meet is must at first sight. Things developed, the past meets the present, and the rest is history.
Cat wanted something that challenged her knowledge, her ability to help people with I juries heLp. In her home town, there were not many opportunities cities for her to grow. Hence she came to Hope Falls where she accidentally fell into a job right awAy. However, there was more in store than what she was looking for. Read Hope Falls: Waiting For You by Rachel Hanna to find out more.
This was an entertaining book. Good story, Cat comes to January Cove looking for a job as a physical therapist. Clark, an alderly man, had a recent fall from a ladder and neecs an in home therapist. Drew, Clarks son is home fron New York to help his mom and dad. You can imahine the rest. It's a fun story and the characters are wonderful.
Ah, romance at it's best always when reading Rachel Hanna's books, and Waiting For You is well worth reading! When Cat and Drew meet and the effect each has on the other makes their story very entertaining. Love reading this prequel to the January Cove series. Love all the characters, except one ex-girlfriend, portrayed in this storyline and looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
This is the second work I’ve read written by Rachel Hanna. These are the perfect stories if you want a short escape from your day! I love happy endings and I had time to read this novella whereas I didn’t have time to get involved in a long book. I will definitely be checking out more of her work
Short, easy read. A great distraction after a heavy book I had just finished. Sometimes a nice plot, an easy “beach read” is just the palate cleanser needed between those books that require such mental effort. I’m already looking to see which of her other books might be available when I next need some “me” time.
This short love story was enjoyable, but I couldn’t help wishing it had been developed into a longer novel. The characters and plot had great potential, but the pacing felt a bit rushed, leaving me wanting more depth and detail. A good read overall, but it could have been even better with more time to fully explore the story.
Cat and Drew meet and sparks fly but..... Sometimes we think the grass was greener. Loved Cat. Drew's mom and dad were great. A really sweet romance with an ex up to no good and a misunderstanding that might stand in the way of their love. Great title and says it all.
This was my first novella by Rachel Hanna. Very sweet read. Loved the characters especially Drew. A short story about young love in January Cove. I will read another book in the series.
A lot of Godwinks. She loved yoga and physical therapy. He loved his job in New York. She was hired, but he objected. Seeing the real her made her real. Seeing him made her hear leap. Untimely she saw him with another woman
Drew was hurt badly by his ex girlfriend and wouldn't go home, then his dad fell and needed help so he went home to help,in the mean time Cat ended A job so dad hires Cat and they end up hooked on each other. Read to find out what happens.
Drew returns to January Cove after many years away. He's haunted by memories of his childhood sweetheart Kate, who still lives there. Cat arrives in town and lands a job working for Drew's father. Sparks fly between the unlikely couple, then the past intrudes on their happiness.
Now I will have to look into the Whiskey Ridge series -- I absolutely love Rachel Hanna's writing style -- you can't help but fall in love with the characters and 'see' the beauty of the scenery in each locale.
