Their magic built together, just as it had before, and this time, he pushed his toward her, wanting her to feel what he was feeling, the intense, burning desire and longing. He'd never meant to bring her to Drageoy, but now that she was leaving, all he wanted was for her to stay.

Ever since I read book one of this duet, DEEP SEA KISS, I've been anxious to read Magnus's story to see who would scale the walls around the growly sea dragon King's heart. When we first met Magnus in book one, he was the surly and uptight ruler of the sea dragons, determined to clean up his father's mistakes and protect his clan. So of course when a witch comes to his tiny Norwegian safe haven looking for her brother and the sacred grimoire's of her coven, he is immediately in over his head and flees.

And although this novel had some really sweet and steamy moments between Magnus and Nia, I have to admit that I didn't love this one as much as the first mostly because there was no action! As Nia and Magnus continued to grow closer and let their guards down, I kept waiting for one of their secrets to be unleashed and bring hell down on them, bursting their bubble of peace--but that never happened. All of their problems were solved by talking and a simple spell performed by Nia, while Magnus's biggest hurdle was flying. I was disappointed by the lack of danger and action toward the end, but if you're looking for a simple forbidden love story with a Beauty and the Beast vibe, then you'll love this one ♡

This was an amazing end to the Norse Sea Dragons duet! For me, it was a very refreshing read as there was an HEA and very little drama/action (which fit this world and story perfectly).

We got to meet Magnus in Book 1, Deep Sea Kiss, and he came across as very stoic and professional, always keeping his people first. This carried over into Book 2 but we got to see more of what motivates Magnus and I enjoyed watching Nia break down his walls and take him outside of his comfort zone. Watching their relationship grow was beautiful.

I am really excited to read more from this author!

Here’s the thing with this series, the first book was short and sweet and I loved it. I had no idea the storyline would pull me in so deep! I came for the smut but stayed for the story.

THIS BOOK THOUGH 🫶🏻🫶🏻 I didn’t know how I would feel about Magnus based off his appearance in book 1, but it didn’t take long for me to be sold.

Nia, our strong witchy FMC was perfect. She was sent on a mission, didn’t betray anyone or make crazy outlandish assumptions until she had the facts and I can’t say enough good things about that minor detail.

I loved the slow burn, the tension, the trust, the EVERYTHING of this relationship 🩶🩶

Murder, Mystery and Forbidden Love

This is the second in a series of two books set in remote, coastal Norway. The story is PNR and there are scenes of a sexual nature.

Nia is a witch from the UK. She is searching for her missing brother, who left the coven unexpectedly, taking with him their treasured grimoires. Her search brings her to Norway and the land of the sea dragons. She doesn’t speak the language and she’s travelling alone, hidden from her coven.

Magnus is the king of the sea dragon clan. His family have met and dealt with Nia’s brother and father. He knows the truth she is searching for but that truth must remain secret to protect his people.

For centuries, sea dragons and witches have been pitted as mortal enemies. These two characters are thrown together through a cruel twist of fate and find out that there is much more than a history of hatred between their races. Can Nia uncover what happened to her older brother? Can Magnus retain his position and integrity when he realises he has feeling for a witch that he should not have?

I enjoyed both these books but this one is definitely my favourite of the two. Zoe Ashwood has an easy to read style of writing which flows well with the story. Many of the characters in this book were introduced in the first book and we see further development and complexity to them in this book. It’s a shame there are only the two books as I’d like to know more about this world. The end of the book references characters from another parallel series and I will be going to find and read those books.

I've been waiting for this book with huge excitement, and boy, did it deliver. A grumpy sea dragon king and the fierce woman who'd melt his heart - who could resist?
But Ashwood outdid herself, and I spent most of the book hugging myself in delight.
Nia, a Welsh witch, is on a mission to discover the whereabouts of her missing brother and their coven's spell books. Magnus knows all about the brother - that dastardly villain met a sticky end at the jaws of one of his dragon kin. Not that it makes an easy telling to the woman who gets under his skin.
Nor is she welcomed by the dragon shifter residents of the secret island she stumbles upon. Their only exposure to witches have not been positive.
All which makes for an uneasy romance. Yet true love can't be denied.
I loved the Nordic descriptions, I swooned hard for tender-behind-the-growls Magnus, wanted to hug Nia, and I adored the careful way the plot unfolded without need for big drama. The hero and heroine communicate and sort out their differences. It was refreshing, heart warming, and such fun.
I couldn't recommend Deep Sea Love more.

May I just say, that second book was even better than the first one in this duet! I loved it. I wasn't very excited when I heard that the second book would be focusing on Magnus since he kind of came across as not very likable in Deep Sea Kiss, but god was I wrong. He has qualities I didn't suspect and is all kinds of shy and awkward when facing Nia. Their story is so cute yet so tragic in one sense and with maybe a bit of Stockholm syndrom... ok, just kidding, it's way more complicated than that but the happy couple did have a rough beginning. It's a bit sad we won't be getting more books in this series but I feel we got closure in the end. Also, did you see that cover?! It's gorgeous. Well, anyhoo, I could tell you a lot about Deep Sea Love, but the important part is READ IT.

I absolutely loved this book. It's the second and final book of the duology that Ashwood has fro the Norse Sea dragons and I have to say that the way the story ended leaves possibilities for anything to happen. I was captivated with the characters and how they dealt with the expectations they had placed on them and the expectations that they place on themselves. The book may be a romance novel but it has some seriously thought provoking tones that shock you to read because this is a romance novel. But that was what made it even more enjoyable. I need me a sea dragon!!

I enjoy this story as much as the last. I love the way the author tied together the story. That all the questions I had from the 1st book were answered. I do wish that we had learned a little bit more about Eric, Lolly, and the twins in this book I felt like it would have pulled it together just a little bit more for me. But I loved the love story rollercoaster that this book took us on.

Zoe does not disappoint with her Paranormal Romance book, they always hook me from the beginning and leave me wanting more and this book is no different. The characters are all amazing and their story is sweet, beautiful, strong and powerful.

Magnus is the King of Drageøy. He feels he has so much responsibility it protect his clan and be the leader they deserve after the awful reign his father held. The things his father did still haunt him, so after a death of a witch on his watch he try’s to hide it and take on the burden himself. So when he makes a mistake and gets seen in his Sea-dragon form he knows he needs to do something to cover his track and stop their secret from getting out. He just did t realise that said person is an absolutely stunner and none other the a witch herself.

Nia has been an outcast most of her life. With her half brother being coven leader he has made her life horrible and blames her for their fathers death. So when he goes missing a takes the whole covens books of spell, he decides to take it upon herself to try and get them back. The last thing she expects though on her journey is to come a cross a clan of sea dragon and to start to fall in love with one.

I absolutely loved this book, and I’m a little sad that it came to an end. I want more sea dragons and their stories of love. I also love the sneak appearance from Skye, Jack, Ty and Aiden.

I loved Nia because she is in touch with her own desires and confident in what she feels and wants, which makes the love story one I adored. Nia is independent and smart, and while the chemistry between her and Magnus, the sea dragon king, is strong, their romance gripped me because Nia chooses him. Unlike some heroines who get swept away by their emotions and desires, Nia allows her body and heart to inform her decision. She chooses love with open eyes. And Magnus? Let’s just say he’s got a little secret that takes someone like Nia to solve. Add to this fantastic heroine and strong yet shy hero, some magic, well-paced suspense, and baby dragons and this book was an amazing read. I promise you, paranormal romance fans will love the Norse Sea dragon duet.

Nia and Magnus' story was every bit as captivating - actually more - than Lottie and Eirik from book 1. I love the dynamic here and how they were brought together, and while keeping secrets sometimes leads to unnecessary drama, I loved how both reacted when the other's secrets were revealed - like real people who understand others are flawed. It wasn't Magnus' fault his father killed Nia's father, or his mother killed her brother. I could easily have seen another author create unnecessary drama from that. Likewise - Magnus could have gone over the top upon learning Nia was a witch but again, that wasn't a necessary plot point.

The romance, story building, and suspense reminded me of Nora Robert's Three Sister's Island series. Masterfully and beautifully written (with just the right amount of heat).

I honestly don’t know why I purchases this book. I’m not a fan of this author as she writes cutesy delicate FMC and big burley growly MCs - you know the stereotypical male and female gender roles. The me men are always powerful immortal beings and the women are often human or a witch, but never immortal like the men.

I just don’t like these type of characters in my fantasy world. That’s just the real world with blue men. Plus I’m going to take a gander that the girl ends up with a kid by the end of the book. That’s this authors typical MO. And I’m strictly child free. In life and in fantasy. There’s something about cheesy forceness when kids are added that takes me right back to reality.

And is fantasy not what readers try to get lost in? I’m just having a hard time finding authors that don’t try to push their ideas of genders down my throat. Which is probably why I bought this book without looking too much into it. I thought which = not human so that’s something! But alas it was a waste of my very limited time :(

Nia is looking for her half brother who disappeared in Norway. Magnus, king of the sea dragon clan, is out swimming with his niece an nephew when a small boat comes too close to the border, and the person inside sees them. After destroying her boat and then saving her, Magnus keeps her away from the rest of his people while he tries to figure out why she's there. Because the witch his mother killed to get revenge for his brother's murder is barely cold in the ground and there's someone asking after him. Magnus needs to keep her at arms length, but the longer she's there, the easier it is for him to start falling for the one person he shouldn't.

I LOVE Magnus. Dude is messed up and gives me an I-can-fix-him complex. When he's with Nia there's something there that just melts him. He's overprotective, but he also knows she can take care of herself and he's comfortable knowing he needs to be there but she doesn't NEED him. It's all very sweet. The spice was nice, I liked Nia, and I liked that he stood up to his mother which needed to happen. Overall I enjoyed this.

But Nia is just looking for answers. The pair begin an unlikely relationship that may change how witches and Dragons interact.

🌟 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I'm always pumped for a Shifter book that's out of the norm. So sea dragons definitely scratched that itch. And the added lore and setting was just super awesome.

The first book being 120 pages was a good set up. But this book was much longer and had much more plot. I loved Magnus and how he transformed around Nia. I loved Nia's power and grace.

All around it was a solid duet, and a great escape from real life.

Magnus is King of Sea Dragon Clan his father was a brutal leader something he doesn't want to be he has so much responsibility now someone is looking into the dead witch at the Village.
Magnus get caught in his Sea Dragon form by none other than a gorgeous Witch Nia his kind don't like witches she been an outcast all her life he bad do damage control no one is suppose to know that exist & he needs to hide Nia.
I definitely recommend to get this engaging, captivating book I loved the chemistry between Nia & Magnus such great characters will they get their HEA will his people accept Nia you must get this book to follow their journey such a great read it won't disappoint.

An adorable conclusion to this duet. After being introduced to Magnus and his brooding in book 1 I was excited to see that book 2 would focus on him and his happily ever after.

This book had some mystery, action and, of course, romance. The meeting of Magnus and Nia was a great set up, you just had to know what was going to happen. Reading about the evolution of their relationship, as they learned about each other, their pasts and figured out some of the mystery left from book 1, it just read like a sweet romance. I liked learning about the pasts of both characters and I liked that the characters had more to explore.

I also enjoyed that the author mentioned some characters from her other series and book 1, but didn’t make them the focus of the books. Just enough to get you interested.

Overall this was a sweet book with enough action and romance to keep you interested throughout.

Nia, out to locate her missing brother and her coven's stolen grimoires, was captured, rescued, and loved by grumpy, fastidious King Magnus, of the Norway Sea Dragons. Together as their respect and trust for each other grew, they located her murdered brother/murderer of Mik, hidden books and returned them to her coven, much to her power-hunger, conniving mother's dismay. HEA to the King and his future Queen as they bring Dragoey into the 21st Century.

Great character development especially Magnus', and a gravity-defying plot whose theme displayed the breaking of the cycle of violence and the benefits for society. A stimulating Summer Read!!

It turns out his family have caused a lot of pain for her family and they seem like an unlikely match, but they are drawn to each other. I loved how insecure and strong Nia was all at the same time. Magnus was a grump in the first book, but boy did he make you love him in this one. He was so protective, loyal and passionate. There was a lot going on in this story and kept a nice pace, with a lot of love and a nice bit of spice.

Picking up a few months after the end of Deep Sea Kiss (which you don't HAVE to read for this, but really should, because, well BABY DRAGONS), we meet Nia, a witch looking to solve a family mystery. Unfortunately, that puts her directly in the path of Magnus, the sea dragon king, who will do whatever it takes to protect his clan.

Magnus was everything I'd hoped he would be as a hero, plus a little surprise that added that much more! I loved his story so much.... it was everything Eiric & Lottie's story was plus added what I wanted more of in the first book.
I really loved Nia, and I loved her for Magnus. One of my least favorite tropes is the big misunderstanding...and I'm SO glad the author did not go there with ANY of the issues regarding Magnus and Nia. There were plenty of obstacles, but they worked through them as a couple.
This book was emotional and funny and steamy and exactly what I wanted.

Great Ending

Magnus is weighed downed with responsibility. Nia is searching for her erratic brother. When their worlds collide neither realize just how much they are intertwined. They are sworn enemies but as secrets from the past surface they begin to realize that maybe things aren't as black and white as they once believed. Can they look past their differences to find a better way to a brighter future?
I really enjoyed this conclusion of the Norse sea dragon clan's journey. It was a nice wrap up for unanswered questions and a good introduction for other sea dragon series.

Deep Sea Love is the 2nd book of the Norse Sea Dragons duology. It follows Magnus (Sea dragon king) and Nia (witch) and how these two supernaturals will come togetherrr ❤
This was a fun, lighthearted romance with some great steamy scenes! I read it on a gloomy day and it was the perfect setting, since Magnus and Nia are in Norway and it set the mood! It's a short read and is the last book for these characters! I highly recommend if you like:

Mangus the New sea dragon King continues his stubborn streak but is slowly breaking away from his father's unfair ways. Now with his new extended family it is clear that he needs to step up his game. Mystery for the witch who has come to town looking for her brother. Other supernatural beings are evil and friendly. I was thinking there should be more in the series but If it is not broke do not fix it. good read.

Crazy mixed up connections

Nia and Magnus are struck by the connection the first time they see each other but it takes a sunken boat, near drowning and lots of secrets revealed to finally have them coming together. Overcoming history and learning secrets from the past help them to both make the right decisions. I thought it was well written with mentions of characters from the other sea dragon books which was nice.

Sweet & Spicy Enemies to Lovers
This was such a great read. I love the world that Zoe has created with the Sea Dragons. Magnus is such a tortured soul and Nia is the soothing balm to all his angst, once he gets out of his own way. The chemistry and build up was amazing and the spicy scenes were delicious.
Read Deep Sea Kiss first! It’s a duet you won’t regret. I also strongly recommend her Sea Dragons of Amber Bay series. It’s an RH set in the same sea dragon 🐉 world 🔥🔥🥰🥰
