Awkward. Adrift. Alone.

Fresh out of college, Will Morrison finds himself at a loss. Graduating top of his class was all well and good, but with no idea of what to do next, it’s all meaningless, and his recent mistakes have put him on tenuous ground with his best friend and sister.

His championship hockey teammates are moving on without him, he has too many choices for what to do next, and no clue what makes his heart sing… Until a one night stand with a fiery red-head turns his world upside down. Quinn’s everything he’s not: outgoing, brave and driven.

Being with her shines a light on his dark side. But following the road to redemption means more than making amends with friends and family. Can he forgive himself, and accept that he doesn’t need to know the full path to take the first step? Or will his inability to love himself mean losing her, too?

If you’re pucking obsessed with Helena Hunting, Pippa Grant, and Elle Kennedy, you’ll love this steamy, one night stand, sports romance. Two for Tripping is a full length standalone with no cheating, cliffhangers, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Welcome to the Minnesota Snow Pirates, where skilled and sexy mother puckers’ lives get turned upside down by strong and badass heroines. Curl up with your next book boyfriend today.

Lasairiona McMaster writes sassy, classy and badassy women and strong, yet vulnerable men.

She challenges reader’s expectations by openly dealing with mental health issues, often exploring tough-to-handle topics and ‘taboos’ and books with a whole lotta heart.

She can either be found enjoying a gin and lemonade by the Irish sea, or baking sweet treats in her kitchen while singing at the top of her lungs.

When she’s ‘home’ in Texas, and isn’t eating fresh-popped popcorn while buying things she has absolutely no need for in Target, she can be found at Chuys eating her body weight in chips and queso and washing it down with a margarita swirl.

Two For Tripping tells Will's story, and if you are like me you'll jump into it as soon as you finish Two For Roughing, to know why he acted like he did with his sister and best friend.

The author delivered once again a good and compelling story.
Will and Quinn' s journey was deep, hurtful and thought provoking. I couldn't wait for them to shake off the pain of their past in order to be happy together.

I didn't like Will at first. He appears as a know-it-all and a conceited person, he often says vicious thing at the women in his life without even realizing it. I changed my mind about him, chapter after chapter I knew him better and it's easier to understand him.

I recommend to read this book, but beware there are some triggering.

Now I'm gonna go back and read the fourth book because I don't want to miss anything of this series.

Thank you to my queen Lasairiona for providing me with an e-ARC of this book to read and review. If you're not new, welcome back to another review of an amazing snow pirates book. If you are new, then welcome to the hockey series you should definitely read. There is so much emotion and heart put into Will and Quinn's story and I loved watching them grow and develop both individually and together. I cried at least three different times while reading it and really felt the vulnerabilities Lasairiona captured with her characters. I also really liked the inclusion of the other characters and how they fit into this type of narrative. Also, the gestures omg. I was fully swooning and Will has been added to the ever growing list of book boyfriends. I love the relationship Will has with his family and with his teammates. Both of these characters had previous struggles and I think they were approached so well. I could go on and on about my love for these Snow Pirate hockey men, but I really did love reading this book.

Will. Oh Will. After the things you said to your sister, I honestly didn't know how I could possibly forgive you enough to love you. But little did I know Las has miracles up her sleeve that would make me love you more than I knew was possible. And Quinn? My girl Quinny?!? You are just a bad A Bish & I am a hardcore #teamquinn fan! These two y'all, they are going to make you fall even harder in love with Lasairiona, the Snow Pirates, and all of the wonderful people who surround and support them! Lasairiona absolutely outdid herself y'all, she made me desperate for Quinncakes, heartache for Will, and love what they brought to the table together as a couple. Prepare yourselves for greatness. Seriously, they just ripped my ever loving heart out of my chest in SHREDS and slivers, and then they humpty dumptied me all back together and even stronger with surgical steel and quinncake frosting, and tears. They will FOREVER have a place in my heart. See y'all on another page!

Thank you Lasairiona for this ARC copy of Two for Tripping in exchange of an honest review.

I LOVE WILL. I’ve wanted him to have his moment since meeting him in book one. Even in previous books when he was made to be a villain, I couldn’t help but love his character. That only grew as we got to see into his past and perspective. I loved his personal growth and found him to be so relatable.

The third act conflict and grand gesture felt a tad rushed, but the insta-love nature of the book made a lot of aspects of their relationship move very quickly.

Quinn was written for the bookish gals and I really enjoyed getting to see more of her in this book. I love that she is an advocate and doing the best she can. I love that she demonstrates the importance of impact over intention. I love that even though she’s trying to do everything right, it doesn’t always go that way. She feels real and honest in all that she does.

This book.....
It's a perfect balance of everything we love about the Snow Pirates and the women who brings them to their knees.
Still it's so so much more.
I'm going to be vague because NO SPOILERS from me. Let me say it's killing me because I want to gush all about how amazing this book is.

Sorry back to what I was saying. In each book of this series there is an underlying sensitive subject matter, something that may make some uncomfortable. I love this about Lasairiona McMaster's books but especially this series. The care taken to preserve the friendships but make sure it's not easy and everyone has to do their part to find the end of the rainbow. This might be fiction but it can't all be easy. 😉

Also I love that the "issues" don't just revolve around the ladies.
I don't cry when I read, I can count on one hand the number of times a tear has been released on my cheek reading a book counting this one. I'm like the cop from cloudy with a chance of meatballs telling my tears they better get back in their tear ducts.
But William has my heart. 💙
Hands down this is my favorite addition to the series.
I have voluntarily left this review.

Lasairiona McMaster cannot write a bad book. Or even a book that earns less than five stars. Two For Tripping was everything I hoped it would be and more.

I wasn’t the biggest Will fan going into this. Not that he was a poorly written character, obviously…he was so well written, his actions irritated me so much, I didn’t know if I could forgive him. But… well, he got me. And Quinn?! 😍 What an amazing woman. So, I can add another book boyfriend and girlfriend to my list from Lasairiona McMaster’s novels. She writes such well developed characters. They feel so real, I’m convinced they are!! They must be hiding somewhere because they all know their fans would be following them around everywhere.

This author’s novels cause me to go on and on, without really writing a thorough review, but that’s just because they are SO GOOD, I CAN’T THINK! Sigh…

Okay, let me gather myself a little. Two for Tripping made me cry. Per usual. I’m not surprised. Every Snow Pirates book has made me cry. An emotional, wonderfully written novel that obviously deserves all the stars.

This might be my favorite book in the series. Hard to pick but…it might be. Highly recommended!!!!!

Thank you to Lasairiona McMaster for the ARC copy. All opinions are my own and unbiased.

Thank you to the hockey queen for giving me a chance to read another one of your masterpieces.
This book is PHENOMENAL and made my heart so happy to read.
These books have the ability to make me insanely happy to read about all my favorite characters. Will and Quinn are the absolute best characters and the cutest couple. It was so inspiring to read how much they encourage each other to get to their dreams and overcome some of the biggest personal obstacles ever.
This book is magical highly suggest reading the series😊

What a touching story!

4,5 stars

TFT is part of the Snow Pirates series, but it can be read as a standalone (although I recommend reading the previous books - they are awesome and you get better acquainted with the other characters).

After the scene Will made against his sister and his best friend (in one of the previous books), it was hard to imagine how he could justify what he did and prove himself to be a good guy.
But oh, he did.
There was so much more about Will than his quiet, stoic, golden-boy demeanor. He was way deeper than he let on. Even though he could come across as blunt and even judgemental, his actions were not so much disrespectful as they were actually a reflection of the way he perceived himself and his past.
Without giving too much away (I want readers to experience it all), he was definitely a work in progress for a multitude of reasons.

Seeing the steady, unaffected captain so torn and broken gripped my heart. He was caring, loyal, and so vulnerable after carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders for so long.
Harper was definitely the right person to help him navigate these uncharted waters toward somewhere they could both be safe. But more than safe, somewhere they could both explore and experience adventures together.
They were undoubtedly good for each other.

This book brought some heavy subjects, but it did so beautifully and with so much sensitivity.
I loved how Harper and Will's journey took them both out of their comfort zone. Two people who seemed to have everything under control were forced to learn how to let go, how to move forward, how to fight their demons, and seek help.

After everything they both went through, seeing them raising each other up was heartwarming.

5 star Review Two For Tripping (Snow Pirates #5) by Lasairiona McMaster

Having read a few books in the Snow Pirates series I was excited to read Two For Tripping. Meeting Will Morrison previously I wasn’t sure how I felt about his book as I was not very impressed with his treatment of his sister. However Ms. McMasters managed to turn my pinion around and redeemed him. Please be warned that this book may cause triggers for some, so you have been warned.

From the first chapter I was invested in Will and Quinn Richard’s emotional story and had a hard time putting it down when real life got in my way. I loved Quinn, she is such a strong, dynamic woman and one who is not afraid to be herself. She could and did hold her own and was such a quirky character that you cannot help but want her as a friend.

Pairing Will and Quinn together was a breath of fresh air and they made a great couple. This was at times an extremely emotional story which moved me to tears and I was really cheering for these two to get the happily ever after that they deserved.

I am a fan of this series. With each book I have grown to become more familiar with the characters as if they have been my friends for years. This newest book is no exception. It hits all the right elements...great characters, very good storyline, spicy romance, and HEA.

In the beginning, I had mixed emotions involving Will. He came off a bit sad that I just wanted to give him a hug but than in the next moment he would say something that was a bit offense that I wanted to slap him. Yet, when I learned the true reason behind why Will acted the way he did, I got a new perspective on him that turned it all around for me.

Where Quinn is concerned, I really liked her right away. She is fierce and compassionate. I like how she cared for Will. These two together were heating up the pages of this book. Two for Tripping scores a hat trick in my book!

Tropes:
✨ Opposite attract
✨hockey romance

Check Trigger Warnings

✨THIS BOOK had me all in my feels. It’s so much for than just your average hockey romance. It covers some harder topics, and does it so well. This book is by far my favorite of the series (yeah I know I keep saying that!)

✨Will is struggling with life after hockey and college ending. He’s never really been unsure of where life would lead him. I think a lot of his struggles stem from a traumatic experience in his past.

✨Quinn the spunky red head that gives off the “I’ve got it all under control” vibes, is actually struggling herself. She spends a lot of time just being there and helping others. I see myself a lot in Quinn’s character, especially the fact she loves/collects books; and bakes.

✨These two really come together and heal each other. I love we still had snipits of all the precious pirates. Will can treat me to a bookstore date ANYTIME!

We are back with a new book in one of my favourite series' , by someone who is fast becoming one of my favourite authors, "The Minnesota Snow Pirates"! This is the story of Will and Quinn who are also known by their couple name of 'Quill'. We first met Will in Book 3 of this series but now its time to learn his story.

The story of Will and Quinn is told over the course of 20 Chapters and an Epilogue. One thing to note before you start this book, is it is Will's redemption. This will make sense if your a long time reader of this series but if this is your first book, no worries Las makes sure you are caught up with what happened in the past.

Throughout the story I went through a lot of different emotions and most of those emotions centred around one character. Will Morrison. Imagine my surprise going into Will's book and starting off with wanting to throat punch him. He really irritated me at the beginning, however I knew I needed to trust not only the process but also Las. And in true Las fashion she came through because a few chapters later Will had me on the verge of tears. Don't worry though the full waterworks, snotty tissue and all didn't appear until later in the book!

Throughout the book there are many references for the readers based on TV shows and movies. As well as a lot of songs mentioned that many readers will instantly know. One reference that came towards the beginning is that of a Shadowhunter reference. From this single reference I knew I was going to love Quin. Well that and she is a book nerd like me!

I feel like all books by Lasairiona McMaster need to come with a warning and this one is no exception. I don't mean a trigger warning (though they appear) I mean a clear your day, read in one sitting warning. I mean this book had me hook line and sinker addicted after the first chapter and it wasn't just because the sexy times started in this chapter. The whole story had me eager to read and finish this book, to know Will and Quinn's story.

Speaking of warnings there is a trigger warning at the beginning of this book, so take note and take care while reading. As I have come to expect with Las she doesn't shy away from the difficult topics and this book is no exception. Although the difficult topics are mentioned within this book, they are done in a way that someone who has never experienced it can feel empathy but it doesn't take away from the romance that is within the book. At the same time it also doesn't take away from the seriousness of why the trigger warning is in place.

Overall I don't know if I can fully convey within this review how much I adored this book. Will has a hidden heart of gold and is perfect book boyfriend material that will leave any book lover swooning. I previously announced my Love for Austin but I feel like I may have spoken too soon. As I am now a little bit in love with Will, okay a lot in love. The book has deep moments but also has moments that will leave the reader giggling. My warning if you want to try this book is have the Tissues handy. Change that tissues are needed for all Lasairiona McMaster books.

I don’t know how to put in words my feelings about this book. Life changing, impacting, long lasting, and a story that for me will live rent free for years to come in my mind.
I don’t even remember how I first found Lasairiona as an author, but she has quickly jumped up there as one that writes stories with lasting impressions.
This one is no different and is a top read of 2022 for me. How she covers topics that you know happen in real life, but rarely hear about is thoughtful, meaningful, and poignant. She brings two flawed humans together and weaves a story that will touch even the blackest soul.
Will is the person you want to hug, cheer on, and see come out on top. I loved watching him grow into where he was meant to be in his life. His journey is a hard one and he fought it at times, but his silver lining and HEA will have you cheering for him. Some may hate him from previous books and even in this one, but I think if you understand trauma response, especially in men, then he as a person makes sense. I loved his total belief in Quinn and her dream. Such support from him for his partner was heartwarming and beautiful to witness.
Quinn is sunshine and heart. Sometimes her heart does act before thinking, but she’s genuine. I think she’s my favorite female character Las has written to date. Even when life tried to kick her down, she persevered and came out so strong in spite of it all.
The overall story arc was well thought out and flowed. There wasn’t lag and every chapter and word had a pivotal role in their lives. We get to see so many side characters from previous stories which was wonderful. It made me smile and feel like I was right there with the Snow Pirates.
There are few authors who impact me in a way that long after I’ve read their books, their words stick around.
Lasairiona McMaster is one of them. There are trigger warnings, so mind your peace. But, if you take a chance, you won’t be disappointed.
This story would have 100 stars if I could give it. Lasairiona is an author whose stories will stick with you for life.

This book follows William Morrison's story. He is Molly's brother and appears in her book which is 'Two for roughing'. In case you haven't read her book, this review might spoiler you, so stop reading!

Molly is in love with Will's best friend Finn. The problem is, Will told everyone of his teammates and friends she is off limits. But the attraction between Molly and Finn is undeniable. They started dating in secret. He discovered the two in a precarious situation and let's say it- as much as he is a sweetheart he wasn't then and even slutshamed her. Since then they all kept their distance. Now Will's out of college and has no idea what to do with his life. One miserably night he meets Quinn in a bar. She turns his world upside down as she is the opposite to him...

First off, this book has a trigger warning which I think is very important, so just read the book if you are okay and/or have someone to help you.
With Molly's book I was curious to know why Will reacted the way since theire family was open and totally okay with Molly's sexuality. At the beginning I wanted to hit Will which turned pretty quickly! I loved the topics included. Right now it's a very important topic for America and therefore needs to be discussed! Both big topics of this book. Both are topics not often found in romance books as for what I have read in the past. Will and Quinn were very relatable and real to me as characters with all their fortes and weaknesses. Due to Will being out of the team, there was little real Snow Pirates action on the ice but also great team moments.
Overall I felt like there are missing a few pages to dive deeper sometimes. Sometimes Will and Quinn lost me a bit.

Considering everything book 5 in this series is absolutely worth reading if you enjoyed the series so far!
Since I couldn't really build a strong connection to Will and Quinn and wished for more my rating goes for 3,5 ⭐

Okay, I’ll admit before starting this book Will was pretty much unredeemable in my eyes. I didn’t like his character at all. But after reading Two for Tripping, he’s now my favorite of our Snow Pirates heroes. Reading about what he was going through and then his growth and path to healing made me fall completely in love with him.

As for Quinn, I adored her from the start. She was such a kind, caring, and sassy soul. Plus she was a bookworm which automatically made me want to be her bff. Side note, she has fantastic taste in books. Another thing I enjoyed about Quinn, was that I saw a little of myself in her character. No spoilers on anything, but I found myself nodding along to some of her inner thoughts and it was nice to relate to something in the story.

Together, Quinn and Will were wonderful. I felt their connection instantly and they were the cutest couple. They were so into each other and things were plenty steamy, but at the same time they could still make each other blush over the sweetest things.

The side characters were as always, spectacular. I never get tired of reading about the unwavering love and support they show.

I can’t wait to see what the last book in the series brings!

TW: sexual abuse, mention of abortion.

Two for Tripping (Snow Pirates #5) by Lasairiona McMaster is a new-adult sports romance told in third person, dual POV. It’s the fifth book of the Snow Pirates series, and technically, it can be read as a standalone. But I highly recommend reading Two for Roughing first, because certain events in that book are key foundational elements of this one. Two for Tripping follows the relationship between recent graduate and outgoing team captain Will, and college student Quinn.

I loved Will and Quinn’s story! Quinn was easy to love with her kind heart, sass, and desire to help others. After Will’s behavior in Two for Roughing and how unlikeable he came across, I was looking forward to finding out how he could be redeemed—I had no doubt that he would be. As I gained understanding about the reason for Will’s bad behavior, my heart went out to him. I loved how Quinn helped him open up about his issues and get help, and I loved how Will supported her in following her dreams. This is my favorite book from this author so far. I’m looking forward to the next one in the series.

A big thank you to the author and her team for sending me a copy of this to review.

Oh she’s done it again y’all! Another fun, spicy, sweet Snow Pirates romance. After Finn and Molly’s book, it was going to take a lot for me to like Will, but he has been thoroughly redeemed in this book. Hearing his side of things and seeing him through Quinn’s eyes went a long way.

I really liked Quinn as a female lead- she was sassy, and brave, and strong, and I loved her passion and her convictions.

There were a lot of sensitive subjects and traumas to deal with in this book, and they were handled beautifully. Seeing Will open up about his trauma and begin to work through it with the support of his friends and family was really emotional and empowering to see. Quinn’s story was so well done too, with sensitivity and compassion.

This is definitely not the spiciest of the Snow Pirates novels, but that felt appropriate for these characters and their stories.

Wow do I love this series!

While the beginning got off to kind of a fast-paced start, the way this book eventually got its footing was very well done and by the end of the book, I was searching for another Snow Pirates Book to binge read (so if you could get on that Lasairiona McMasters that’s be GREAT lol)!

Will was a character I was really excited to read about since we’ve seen bits and pieces of him in past books (especially in Two for Roughing) and I think McMasters did a fabulous job of making him a redeemable and lovable character.

This book did touch upon some heavy topics, like sexual abuse, but I think they were handled gracefully and authentically.

I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what’s next for the Snow Pirates!

Another real and raw lesson from Ms McMaster, and this one is as good as all the rest of the snow pirates stories.

I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that Will was certainly a piece of work in Molly and Finn’s story. I struggled to ‘get’ him and what would seem his irrational behaviour. Never would I have imagined his struggles or his inner demons but they certainly shed a believable and heartbreaking light on his actions.
Then we have Quinn….she is sass and beauty, brains and heart, the girl you want in your corner….actually you want all these girls in your corner!!
Quinn is the perfect peaceful place for Will and he is the energy and encouragement that she deserves.

Another brilliantly balanced story from this talented author. (Oh and Can I just add…that scene, with Will and Finn….OMG just perfect…real tears!!!!)

Every time I get my ARC email I get excited and nervous at the same time. I always think "This one can't be as great as the last one was!"
Then I start reading and am completely blown away. I honestly feel like a lot of series I read these days all have the same basic plot and storyline just different character names.... But NOT this one!
Yet again, Lasairiona has blown it out of the water. The character growth and development she squeezes into these books is on point in the way that it doesn't feel forced or rushed.
If you haven't read "Two for Roughing" then some of the tension at the beginning of the book might not make sense so I recommend reading at least that book in this series first if you like all of your information to add up like I do.

Lasairiona E McMaster's Two For Tripping is an inspirational read that grabs at your heart from the start and never lets go. Lasairiona writes about two extremely sensitive subjects in such an exceptional way that you feel every feeling the characters have.
Quinn and William have a bond that is undeniable but can their love survive all the turmoil their past lives bring to their lives?
If you love your romance with lots of love, real life situations, and some hunky hockey players and the feisty ladies who love them, then two for Tripping is for you.

Amazing! I didn’t think will could come out of the dirt with me. Not after how he treated his best friend Finn and sister Molly. I couldn’t understand why he acted that way. Until I read the ARC copy. He went through something that nobody should have gone through. But by the end he redeemed himself. For all the thing he did for his hockey kids, for Quinn. Quinn is spunky. She love to help and bake. He would do anything for her, and it makes you love him. Awesome job! Lasairiona. Thank you so much. Go check out her books!

This is probably the most emotional one yet! If you have read previous books in this series it explains so much however I feel even if this is the first time you have stumbled upon this author you can enjoy it as the standalone it is (a great compliment to the author for achieving this).

I loved the angle the author took with this from both the male and female history being taboo subjects yet shining a light on differences in dealing with situations.

This is not really a sports romance as the sport itself doesn't feature much but it is a great read with an emotional punch and a solid storyline.
