I had read book one of these books some time ago but..... since was in a box set figured I would give it a go again...
April is an ER doctor who on her way home from the Hosp is drawn into an alley where she heard gunshots fired.... while helping this handsome fella she finds he and her are soon whisked away to what she was hoping was a hosp but finds herself in a mansion and told to keep him alive ..if he dies she dies ....... and so then after she keeps him alive she finds she is being held captive after saving Valentin Ivankov a mafia don survive a brutal attack. ....Only now she becomes his captive.
Especially after he finds out that she is the daughter of the head of the Capeci crime family, of which she knows nothing about at the time. The worst part of it is that Valentin's Bratva and the Capeci crime family are arch enemies.........lots of action, drama, romance, twists and turns. April’s character is strong willed and likeable. Valentin, your typical alpha male is hard toward everyone else but softens for this woman.... HIS woman ..... when I read these, they were in individual form.... and each book is very very short and ends in cliffhangers .... I so dislike cliffhangers and only read the first one... so was nice to know the end of the story...

Unlike a normal person, who would run in the opposite direction, she runs towards the sound, hoping to save anyone injured.
That was her undoing.

She's his prisoner, but also, her blood relationship to his enemy makes her what? A spy, an innocent?
The attraction grows, but really how can it end? His uncle's idea may work, but also seems to have caused chaos as well!

The Don wants to keep April safe, so has devised a plan. However, no one else seems happy about it, especially April.

The war between father and son-in-law escalates, but I have a feeling someone else is in the background pulling the strings.

Ah, the Grand Finale, for this series at least.
I was right, there was a snake in the woodpile, but it all comes together, with both tears and laughter.
Excellent read, the whole series!

This is a very engaging story from the first book to the end in this box set. The twist and turns, the romance and the drama between April Cooker and Valentin Ivankov was a page turner. The plus in this box set is the complete series so that you don't have to wait for the next installment. The first book begins when Valentin gets critical injured while leaving a club. April Cooker a ER doctor goes walking home passing the clubs when she hears gunshots and finds a badly shot man. When a crew of men come along and they take April and him and drive them to a mansion that has a complete ER room. April is told to save him and if he dies she does. After the operation of removing the bullets April notices how attractive the man is. When Anna asks for a cell phone to call her friend Liz and they refuse and Anna realizes she's a captive. What happens next as she discovers who the man is and what he will mean to her future is a well written story that was a engaging read that I volunteer to read and review via the author and Booksprout.

Absolutely Brilliant Amazing series by Amber Adams from the first page of book one to the last book in the series.
The story is based about April who was a doctor and she helps Valentin who was shot in a alley way and then she becomes his brutal captive.
The books are well written and the story captures you and each book leaves you with a cliffhanger which makes you have to read the next book to find out what happens next but worth it.
There is also a lot of suspense ,surprises, mystery and action with steamy scenes though out all the books which are page turners.
I also love about the series that you get to see the softer side of Valentin which April brings out of him and how they start to fall in
love with other during the course of the series .
I Really do Recommend reading this amazing series and I am glad that I did.
I can’t want to read more books from this author.

I loved reading Brutal Captor Boxset - The Complete Collection by Amber Adams because it was such a fantastic and heart wrenching and steamy story about Valentin and April. There was such much mystery and drama and some very steamy scenes in this boxset. I was captivated by this story between April and Valentin. I didn't want it to end. I was literally on the edge of my seat wondering how everything was going to play out - if it was even going to play out. Loved this series and would highly recommend reading this story.

I am never one for serials, so I waited patiently until this story was complete before started reading.
As an ER doctor, April is expected to be level-headed, strong, rational and kind--exactly my kind of heroine. Valentin, on the other hand, is just a typical mafia don that I can easily forget (being that I read that many mafia romance these days). However, the two do have chemistry that does not rely on insta-lust, something I appreciate, because the author did not take the easy way and actually put an effort in developing the bond between the protagonists.
All in all, an enjoyable read. (And I'll surely look out for Maxim and Liz's story.)

First class read.
I loved the story as seperate novellas but having it all in one place is even better.
Valentin is total droolworthy perfection and when feisty April is unexpectedly kidnapped and forced to help him that should be the end of it.... until he learns who her father is and decides he's keeping her, forever. There is enough steam to fog up the screen but misunderstandings, and her father will threaten everything.

This is an amazing boxset! One night after get off work in the ER, Dr April finds a man who has been shot in an alley and a series of events will unfold in front of your eyes. Valentin Ivankov is the head of the Ivankov Bratva and having an ER doctor come to his rescue will literaly save and change his life. Intense, action packed, intrigues and scorching hot relationship between April and Valentin. This is a vibrant, fast paced captivating story that is a page turner that will stay with you after your done!

Valentin is shot and found by April, a doctor. They are whisked away to his mansion and she is to take out the bullets. Her life changes drastically as she is not allowed to leave, is forced to marry Valentin and finds out who her real family is that she never knew. The story grabs you from the beginning and does not let go. So much action and even romance, but in the end, decisions must be made as to who you want in your life. Very addictive and very well done.

A good box set. 4-1/2;stars
I enjoyed this fast-paced series. Action starts quickly in the first chapter. April and Valentin are good characters. It is nice to see a strong heroine. April is an ER doctor who knows how to take charge. There are twists in the stories. The head of a Bratva is not Don. It begins with a "p", but I cannot recall the term. Valentin took a long time to realize a big threat to his Bratva. Lots of action, and plenty of steam. I recommend this for anyone who likes organized crime romances.

Good series
I loved this series which was very exciting to read. This is the first time I've read this author in which I found on goodreads. I thought Valentin was going to be more difficult than what I read, however April was able to tear down this gentle giant walls as well as his mother after all she's been put through. Even Maxim came around to treating April better. It felt like the last few chapter were rush, but over all this was an interesting series to read.

I loved that all the books came out together in a box set. The story of Valentin and April is a gut wrenching emotional twists and turns abound in these books. The Russian Bratva and The Italian Mob all want to rule. But, there can only be 1 King in a Kingdom right?!

This is a wonderful series focused on mafia boss Valentin and the doctor that saved his life April. The action, drama, danger and roller coaster of emotions had me reading to the wee hours. This is a well written series that I was happy to binge read. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Totally fsntastic
You have a great job of covering so many different aspects of this family in the situation she was put in. All the main characters in the story we're great And it was nice to see that the Mafia character turned out to be quite a gentle soul. Author was great describing everything.

Serialized Love
Is best when it's in a boxed set. I would have been wound tighter than a coo-coo clock if I had to wait for the next episode to come out. Amber Adam's story is fun, in a Bratva action-packed way. April and Valentin discover their love in two unexpected people. Opposites attract in this story.

This is a super good series! I read these books individually. All 5 star reads. Interesting plot. Yummy characters. I'll be reading it again. Well written. Well told.

I read each of the books individually and enjoyed each addition. The characters are engaging and well developed with plenty of twists and turns. The storyline flowed smoothly throughout the pages.

Loved this series. This is a six book set of Valentin and April’s story. It is an intense read that will have you wanting more. I like having the boxset where you don’t have to wait for the next book. It deserves more than 5 stars. Great Job Amber Adams

Another great read, with lots of chemistry and hotness. This is a beautifully written story and hooked me from the start. This is a quick hot read, with an interesting plot and fantastic characters, great emotion and Loads of steam!

A great way to get all of the stories in one place. This box set contains six stories of Russian Mafia romance stories. Each book will hold your attention, the characters are likeable and fit well together. A great collection to have.

Captivating and suspenseful
Well I read the entire series in two days. That’s how captivating and suspenseful the series was. I was hooked from the beginning with Valentin and April. A love story in the middle of a mafia war with a happy ending.

This series has been one of my favorite Dark Mafia reads. Valentin & April story has been one of the most suspenseful stories I have read. Looking forward to starting Hunter and the Hunted series.

I enjoyed this series and easily engaged with the characters. Lots of action and suspense. The plot was a little unique but contain many of the same mafia themes most books do.
