Sons of Lerrestia

“So let’s recap,” Pop says.

“We don’t need to recap,” I say, dryly.

“No, you teach the classes. This is the point where you recap all the things that happened to get us stuck out here in space in my granddaughter’s ridiculously named spaceship, looking for an… Errestian.”

“Lerrestian, Pop,” I say. “YOU are a Lerrestian, I’m half Lerrestian, and the guy we’re chasing through space is, apparently, a Lerrestian too.”

“Who stole the spaceship I gave to Sunny,” Pop finishes up smugly. “Good job on the recap, I give you… oh, a six out of ten,” he says.

“Of course you do. But I wasn’t TRYING to recap. If I was trying to recap, I’d be talking about how YOU almost killed the healer, Mary, way back in the past—a couple of different ways in a couple of different alternate timelines, which led HER to try and take out the Hall, and that led her to working with Walter Colleck and waking up the Lerrestian he had frozen in his Antarctic base,” I say. “And look, we’re getting straight to the convoluted part, are you happy now?”

Another great book

I love these books! I love them so much that I'm thinking about getting a Kindle for my granddaughter so I can get copies for her to read. Cape High is a series that just about any aged reader could enjoy. I know my granddaughter might not get some of the cultural references, but that's what her parents are there for, right? :-D

Good book

Overall a good book and nice addition to the series. I do hope we can see a switch to some of the other characters though.

Convoluted Fun

Good, and a lot of fun. Convoluted, with a lot of plot lines and digressions. A few loose threads, but mostly ties things up with skill.

A fun read. Lots of humor and scifi tropes. Entertaining for any age.

More space adventures!  We have a lot of returning characters, and a few new ones.  I love to see how different Nico and Superior are from when we first met them.  All the characters in the series show growth, that's a given with Cape High, but I love to see how Nico went from a reluctant Principal, to someone ready to teach anyone around him and help them become a better version of themselves.

Again, a lot is going on in this book, and a lot of characters are involved, (I love the Collect boys working together!) and everyone wants to go to space, even when there is a lot of work to do in Earth, but only a few can.  Most of what happens is in space, with Nico getting roped into helping the Cosmics, and the job of going after Flora getting sidetracked.  By the end there are a lot more characters involved in the hunt, and a lot of things happening.

At the end, the most important part in the book, is watching Nico and Superior getting to know each other.  It's so fun to see those fighting and bickering, but mostly, to see them getting along, or close to it.

In conclusion, the book is very good, and a must read.
