Book review ✨

New to me author.

Themes: Elves, Elements, found family, lost family
Troupes: friends to lovers
Triggers/caution: Violence, death of family members
Spice level: (kissing only)

A clean fantasy read. It is hard to find fantasy reads that are clean. There are magical elements in this story. It gives off the avatar last airbender vibes when it comes to fire, water, and earth. The story is captivating.

I enjoyed the friendship building between all the characters. It was nice, but also cool that they are still on a journey of learning and growing together.

One thing is the love story felt a little too rushed. I would of loved more build up or details. Not really a fan of instalove. BUT it was cute and I did not entirely dislike it.

Gobi is such a sweet character and he may be my fave so far.

I want to know more about the side characters and their story. We only got small parts and even that made me happy to know more.

Overall, I really liked this book and I’m excited to read the next one.

I was given a complimentary copy of the book and all opinions are my own.

The beginning was not great. Once I got to page 70ish though, I really enjoyed it! I always appreciate a love story that is slow-paced.
The violence in a couple of places I didn’t care for, but overall an entertaining story.

New author and series

This is a new take on elves and reminded me a little bit of The Last Airbender. The book was great. Looking forward impatiently to the next one.

Growth, Magic, and Revenge

This story was full of magic, adventure, and intrigue. There were so many unexpected turns, but it was enjoyable. Definitely worth a read!

I really enjoyed this book 😊 The beginning was a little slow (as with most fantasy) as there needed to be some world building and character introduction/development but once it really got going I had a hard time putting it down. I’m eager to start the next book! Kamo is such a strong FMC and even though her life (and what she thought about her past) changes drastically throughout the book she still values her found family over everything else. When I got to the end I was sad it was over and that’s how I know it was a book worth reading.
