That was all until a careless mistake sent me hurtling into another dimension.
I don't understand everything just yet. With elves, trolls, and some sort of ultimate bad-ass called the Lich King running around, how could I?
But, what I do understand is this: I have a job to do.
Because for the first time in a long time, people depend on me.
And my actions could mean the difference between life and death not just for me, but for all of Zamina.
Warning: This novel contains strong harem themes. If you're not a fan of elven warrior girls, orcs, sexy pirates, duels, sorcery, and arcane lore, well buddy, this ain't the book for you.
Bland, forgettable, uninspired This is a transported to a fantasy world, harem story with sex scenes. The Portal takes elements from LOTR & World of Warcraft and fails to mix them into any cohesive narrative. There is nothing terrible here, but nothing great either. 90% of this book is a cheap knock off of something else. The main bad guy is called the Litch King, the MC's horse was named Strider before he met it. The Goblins have a goblin king, and the "River Kraken" is more like the watcher in the water from the gates of Moria. The sexy lady pirate is called the Dread Pirate Amelia (at least she wasn't called the Dread Pirate Roberta) ...Oh yeah, and the lusty elf maiden just happens to be a princess. The sex scenes are perfunctory and lack heat. I didn't realize this was the guy who wrote Monster Girl Safari but now I'm not surprised. This is a minimal effort, generic copy of what other people have done better.
It started with an interesting plot and also some character introductions that were good. But it quickly devolved into a sex scene mess and character descriptions that can be sum'd up like this:
Male -> ugly and/or evil Female -> beautiful & boner material for the MC
This happens in this kind of genre all the time but only in a "reasonable" amount. I stopped when this happened:
Female Pirate ambush> Dude says before the ambush: it is an ambush -> *Dude gets an arrow to the head and dies* . . . literally 2 sentences later -> MC: I get a boner from these sexy pirate ladies. <_< WTH ? They straight up murdered a dude and you wanna f*ck 'em right after that?
So i give it a 2 out of 5 cause an 1.5 aint possible.

Ok, I had never heard of this author before, but let me tell you that he can write a mean story. If you are looking for a great way to spend a few hours of fun and excitement in a book, by all means try this author.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I thought it was better than most of the other similar plot/story works that I have come across on Kindle that are free if you have a subscription. Now onto book number two.
