She was hired to protect me, but I'm falling in love...

I became a nurse to help others, but I keep my heart distant. It's easier that way. Sometimes, people aren't who you think they are. I'm content to just focus on my work...

Until I meet her.

My hospital hired extra security to protect the nurses from a dangerous stalker. One night on my way home from work, I flee the psycho and run straight into her arms.

Strong, confident, and mature, she's the head bodyguard and CEO of the security company. And she wants to spend the night on my couch to make sure I'm safe.

Of course I say yes...but I want so much more.
I know she can protect my body, but can I protect my heart?

I read this story over a year ago but completely forgot to write a review.
I remember liking this story, but I'm more of a slow-burn person, so I thought the love story happened way too fast. It's a short format so I'm staying lenient.

An intense fast paced instalove story about a nurse who is being stalked and the security guard who is desperate to keep her safe.

This story is very fast paced and is intense both in the dangerous situations and the strong sexual tension. Sela and Eva are drawn to each other from their very first meeting and their feelings and desire for one another grow quickly. This is a very exciting read.

I had a little trouble connecting to the characters and their relationship, it all felt a little forced and I would have liked for it to feel a bit more organic to really draw me in.

I enjoyed the writing and the story had a great premise. The ending was also incredibly sweet and wrapped up the story very nicely.

While the romance didn’t quite hit the mark for me the attraction and sexual tension was very nicely done.

If you are looking for a quick high octane read with attraction, suspense, and love then this is a great read for you

One heroine just happens to be in the right place at the right time to save our other heroine from a viscous stalker. That is the start of a great relationship.

This is an insta-love romance of the FF variety with an suspense based plot. While that might seem like a lot of elements, it all actually fits together rather well. The characters are well developed and make a great couple. The romance might seem to happen rather quickly, but that is the nature of insta-love stories. With the stalker in the background, the plot moves quickly and enjoyably. Overall, I had a lot of fun with this story and look forward to more from this author.

Highly recommended

A very quick read about instalove between Sela, a nurse stalked by a spurned, fired co-worker and Eva Security company owner who becomes her bodyguard. I won't mind visiting that mountain retreat!! Could've had some more length to the plot. Some editing hiccups aside...there's just enough heat to relieve the stresses of today and escape for awhile.

I rec'd a copy through Booksprout and this is a voluntary, unbiased review.

Thus us a short read about a nurse meeting their rescuer in more ways than one.
There is a continuity error in that they make their way to the bedroom and close the door then they are suddenly on the couch instead.
It’s an entertaining insta-love read that’s perfect for a pick me up in a hard world.
