Voxeran Fated Mates #6

Her Alien Protector

Rate this book
I can’t remember my past. But could this muscled, protective alien be the key to my future?
When alien pirates stole me from Earth years ago, the trauma of my abduction wiped away my memories. I can’t remember who I was before I was taken. Can’t recall anything from my previous life.

All I know is that I’m not going to let myself be held captive again. The blue-skinned warriors I'm now living with seem different than the pirates who abducted me, but every alien I’ve ever known has tried to hurt me eventually.

So when I see my chance to sneak away from the Voxeran village, I take it. I’d rather face the dangers of Nuthora on my own than risk losing my freedom again.

There’s one thing I didn’t count on, though.

Bohrir.

The massive Voxeran who carried me away from Gornok’s lair follows me into the woods—but instead of dragging me back to the village as I expect him to, he tells me there’s only one thing he wants.

To keep me safe.

Even if he has to leave his people behind to do it.

Her Alien Rogue is a full-length standalone sci-fi romance featuring blue-skinned alien warriors, a sweet heroine rediscovering who she is, and a gentle giant who would risk anything for her.

If you like sexy aliens, steamy romance, and thrilling adventure, you’ll love this series. No cheating, no cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

Note: each book in the series can be read as a standalone, but for maximum enjoyment, it’s recommended that the series be read in order.

I love reading romance, baking (well... eating) cookies, and binge-watching sci fi shows with my husband. I'm a sucker for a dirty talking alpha with a heart of gold, and I write stories about fierce aliens and the strong Earth women they fall in love with.

Captive runaway!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance: 💙🤎🖤❤️
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📙📘
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌎
Character development: 😍😚😉🙂
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Willow - She was taken from Earth and was a captive of Space Pirates. When the Pirates were caught and sentenced to life on the prison planet Nuthora, instead of being rescued, she was thrown on the prison planet with them. She was kept captive in the brutal city on the planet.

The Hero: Bohrir - he is the largest of the Voxeran warriors, who are all very big males. He is one of the males who goes to the city on Nuthora in order to get a communicator made so his people can try to get back home and to kill king Drokar who took the throne and threw the rightful king along with his supporters on the prison planet after the rebellion failed.

The Story: While in the city, Bohrir finds a human female in chains and being mistreated. He rescues her and brings her with back to the Voxeran settlement where they have other human females they rescued. He sees that she has been mistreated for a long time, but hopes that she will begin to feel safe like the other women. Bohrir knows that she fears him especially, since he just grabbed her and ran in the city when he saw her chained up like that. That she sees him as just another monster that stole her away like the others.

Willow has been treated bad for so long, that she can’t trust anyone, even the other human women. She can’t remember her life on Earth, since she was stolen away five years ago and her circumstances were so bad, her brain couldn’t handle memories of her past life. So she feels alone and different than the rest of the human women and the first chance she gets, she tries to escape, only to find that Bohrir followed her.

This book was told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by C.J. Grey and Stefanie Kay. I really enjoy C.J. Grey’s deep, gravelly voice for the Voxeran males. It is perfect for the mountain of a male that is Bohrir. I don’ know if I have ever heard Stefanie Kay before, but like the female narrators in the last two books, her voice is very pleasant, soft and feminine. This entire series has been great on audiobook.

Overview: Another cracky good SFR series, it seems to contain the Presley Hall formula - huge, protective heroes who love wearing loincloths and nothing else. The Voxerans were banished to a prison planet called Nuthora and have lived there for 5 years when they see a spaceship crash and, thinking that they can salvage the ship for parts, head towards one of the crash sites. Unbeknownst to them, two human women have just found out that their world leaders basically sold them off to alien warlords as sex slaves in return for alien tech. Fantastic. When the ship they're on accidentally crashes on Nuthora, they also found out that there's a whole bunch of other women on the ship with them. The fight for survival begins, but along the way, you guessed it, we got some fated mate situations happening.

All in all, I like this series alot more than the previous series I'd read by Ms. Hall, the Kalixian Warriors. The premise of being able to reject the mate bond is still in effect, but I think the storytelling here is better and there's much more character development on the way to that HEA. There's also a cohesive overarching storyline that snaps into place and keeps the reader turning that page to find out if they succeed in their plans. I liked alot more fo the books here. If you're into SFR where the romance is central, then I'd recommend this. Now onto the individual books:

Book 1: Her Alien Prince (Charlotte and Droth) - solid start to the series, romance was right blend of insta and built up love. May have issues for those who would struggle with married heroine. Husband basically helped her get on this flight/no love, and there's no way she's going back, so I'm counting that as his fault, it didn't bother me. 4 stars
Book 2: Her Alien Savior (Sadie and Jaro) - I liked the couple, no external complications, all character driven. Deals with anxiety issues and survivalist action. 4 stars.
Book 3: Her Alien Beast (Elizabeth and Axen) - tender, protective hero with pregnant heroine. Probably messiest of the books with a prickly heroine but I still enjoyed it. 4 stars
Book 4: Her Alien Warrior (Gemma and Kzuri) - MCs captured and sold into slavery, so a little darker but my main complaint is it slowed down in the middle but made up for it by the end. 3.5 stars
Book 5: Her Alien Rogue (Raina and Kaide) - I always love with the grump is the heroine and the sunshine is the hero, so this is probably my fave. The overarching storyline is really building now and while sex on the run can be tricky, this made it work. 4 stars

Book 6: Her Alien Protector (Willow and Bohrir) - Gentle giant of a hero, traumatized heroine. Probably the darkest of all the books, dealing with physical/mental abuse and slavery. The last few books lag a little in the middle but make up for it by the end. 4 stars

Okay this one started out very frustrating for me. Mainly because of Willow... She did grow, and rather quickly I might add. But her own reasons for leaving the Village really irked me to no end. It was simply a TSTL move on her part considering the world they're living in. And though it seemed like later in the book, there was a point to her madness, you know the thing that would have made it all worth it? That was canceled out once they actually got back to the village anyway. So, it left me with she so could have done this growth/finding herself and memories thing, all while still in the safety of the camp. Her and Bohrir could have explored this all-in relative safety... it's like her actions put them both at great risk many times. It was all just pointless to me.

I also wish it was stated more plainly why Willow lost her memories. All we get from this was she had been on Nuthora for years and we're not quite sure what caused her memories to vanish. So, we're left with a general/generic answer of "it was just the trauma" of being held captive for years by the Pirates in Pascia. Which we're never told just how long she had been there either. So, these were things that just frustrated me to no end here and took me a while to warm to the heroine. Hence the 4 stars.

Bohrir, as it is with all of these Voxeran warriors, was a sweetheart. With a fierce heart and devotion to his "Kira". Putting aside the reasons why certain events occurred in the wilderness with these two, they were still crazy intense and scary and kept the story interesting.

I love how this one also allows for the overall plot to move along. We're making a lot of progress with it, because each book addresses it and I love that. So, in spite of my issues with some things here, overall, I still enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would, once I opened it.
I hoped to love it, but as it stands, I'm "In-Like" with it very much ;D

On to book 7. Curious. I'm hoping for an awesome read.
Based on all 6 books I would recommend this series. Please read in order. They are all on KU.

At the end of Her Alien Rogue Willow was found by Bohrir during his mission in Pascia. She was held captive by pirates who had been banished to Nuthora. When seeing her, he didn't think twice, he took her from the pirates and ran. Now that they are back in the village, Willow feels trapped and restless. She doesn't feel like she belongs for she has no memory of her past life on Earth and can't relate with the other women. One night, she decides to leave everyone behind, and try to survive on her own in the forest. But it's not long that Bohrir follows her and swears he will protect her...

I can't tell you how much I disliked this story. Everything about it bored me to no end. I almost DNF'd it twice but still pushed through in the hope it would get any better. Nothing relevant happened plot-wise and it isn't much of a continuation but more like a side story. I really don't understand what was the point of this book. Maybe at the end there was a little something that advanced the plot, but it's nothing that isn't mentioned in the next installment.

The main character, Willow infuriated me. Not only her decision to leave the village was stupid, her reasons didn't make sense. What bothers me the most is that the author tried really hard to make it all believable but it all felt far-fetched. Willow was immature and reckless. She'd rather go alone in the forest, endangering herself, but fEeL FrEe than stay in the safety of a village, with warriors who saved her from her captors who had abused her, and with women of her kind who were only generous and understanding, and gave her space. What's even more frustrating was how Bohrir praised her on her survival skills??? Like bro, be serious. I find that Willow was selfish and too wrapped up in her own self. I understand that she had trauma, but nothing is really developed around that. I'm an empath and can easily relate and shed tears for fictional characters, but I just couldn't empathize with her. I believe being around the other women, learning to trust her own kind, opening up to them, would've made such a good story about human nature and sense of community. Instead, we were stuck with an idiot sandwich on a camping trip, for what?

The jungle-like forest of Nuthora is a dangerous place, and I have no idea what I’ll find out there. But at least I’ll be free.-Willow

Maybe I’ll struggle on my own out here. Maybe I’ll even die. But for the first time in as long as I can remember—literally—I’m completely on my own. My choices are mine, no one else’s, and that feeling is worth whatever danger I might face.-Willow

And Bohrir wasn't any better. His reasoning to follow Willow, to abandon his warrior friends when they were about to be done repairing the communicator that could let them escape from the planet, was stupid. At that point in the story, there hadn't been any signs that Willow was his mate. The fact he would just follow her, wherever she decided to go, to pRoTeCt hEr was silly. He was not her friend, he was not in love with her. He was protective and kind but I didn't care for him as a hero. If anything, he was a doormat and he was boring compared to any other previous heroes. It would've been more interesting if he had shaken her up, and told her how stupid she was being for going on her own like that, where deadly fauna and flora could've killed her at any bad turn, or encounter actual criminals and prisoners who would do far worst than kill her. Instead, Bohrir enabled her and even praised her. She clearly was troubled and didn't know what was good for herself in that moment. She needed someone to keep her grounded who would convince her to go back to the village. She needed to be surrounded by people who cared for her. And being around women who could talk about things back on Earth, could've helped her remember things.

Wherever she is, she’ll be all right. She’s defended herself numerous times, and she’s savvy and quick-thinking.-Bohrir

Not only the characters were bad, but their chemistry was none-existent. There was no build up to their intimacy. Willow was too shut out and in her own bubble, and Bohrir was too subdued. There was no passion. The whole camping trip was about Willow slowly recovering parts of her memory, but it was so uninteresting to me. I really don't think she had to leave the village to retrieve her memory. I'm also not sure why Willow was even a character in this series. She didn't come from the crash like the other women, she was somehow with pirates, on a prison planet. There were plenty of other women that could've been mated to Bohrir, so I'm not sure why the author decided to side track the plot to introduce Willow.

The plot was weak and didn't go anywhere. No chemistry between the characters. I'm so surprised there are so many good reviews when this book shouldn't even be part of this series if anything. I believe you can even skip this installment and won't lose anything when it comes to the main plot.

Anyways, I was very disappointed by this book. I didn't like anything about it. I even skimmed through the last few chapters cause I was bored to death.

I believe this series has a main plot that will chronologically develop with each installment, so you probably want to read them all in order.

Man I love this series!! I have been biting at the bit to find out more about these fiercely protecting alien male warriors. Anyways, this is the 6th book and our new couple is Willow and Bohrir. Bohrir who previously rescued Willow from the alien pirate from the city. Anyways, Willow feels trapped because all she knows is being captive and not knowing who to trust. She wants to trust the Voxenan warriors and the other human women, but she can’t because she realizes she can’t remember anything from earth. But since Bohrir rescued Willow he wants to talk to her to get to know her, make her feel safe and to trust him and his fellow brothers and women. yet he doesn’t know her secret. Willow makes an escape as it raining, not knowing the true nature of this planet, Bohrir volunteers to go find her. He need to find her and the possibility not make it back to leave that planet. So, now the adventure begins, how can Bohrir find her and allow Willow he only wants to protector her and help her? I loved every minute of this series.. and thank god they are this close to getting off that planet. I can’t wait for Felicity’s story.

Willow has a unique problem—she can’t remember anything from her life on Earth. Bohrir has a problem, too—he’s drawn to the woman he rescued, but he doesn’t want to rush things.

This was a quick read. I enjoyed the fact that Willow wasn’t just a broken female. She had inner and physical strength, and Bohrir helped bring it out even more.

Her Alien Protector is the sixth book in the Voxeran Mates series. In the previous book a small group of Voxeran warriors travel to the dangerous city with some very valuable materials to be made into an interplanetary communicator so that they could escape from the prison planet they are currently forced to reside on. When they are betrayed and it's stolen, they split up trying to recover it. Voxeran warrior Bohrir is questioning a pirate for information when he discovers Willow- a human captive kept as a possession by the pirates. Feeling a powerful draw to her, he steals her away and bring her with him when his group recover the device and return to their village.

Willow has spent years a captive to Gornok and his pirates. Fighting back or trying to escape only brought punishment. She feared no future for herself or escape. To make matters worse, she has no memory of her past or her life on Earth and guards that secret close to her heart so that it can't be used against her. When she is brought to the Voxeran village, she is wary of everyone and their intentions. With no memory of her past, she feels like an outsider among the other women, and isn't convinced that they aren't enslaved there under the whims of the alien males. One day during a powerful storm, she takes the opportunity to escape into the forest, choosing to survive as long as she can but free than feel trapped in the village always looking over her shoulder.

Bohrir is the tallest and oldest warrior in the village (by two years) and the most powerful, but being a warrior was never truly what he wanted for his life, and he longs for peace. He is powerfully drawn to Willow and protective of her but keeps his distance as she doesn't trust him. When he discovers she escaped the village, he leaves everything behind to find her and protect her in the wilds of the forest, even if she doesn't want to return to the village.

I loved Bohrir and Willow's story and was looking forward to it from the last book. Bohrir is like the gentle giant, powerful and fierce when he must be, but gentle and peaceful by nature. He is very respectful of Willow and allows her to take her own actions and follow her own instincts and remains at a distance to help her in any way he's needed. Willow has suffered fear, pain, and trauma and guards her mind and heart well. She's determined and fierce and is willing to fight to live not merely survive. The two grow close beautifully through building trust and care for each other. Watching that wariness grow into friendship and then burn into love was thrilling and wonderful to read.

Will Willow be able to unlock the secrets of her lost memories, welcome Bohrir into her heart, and make a future for herself? Will Bohrir remain with Willow in the forests of Nuthora, or will he return to the Voxeran village and his people and their upcoming rescue from the prison planet? I loved this book! Definitely give it a read! 5 stars

Her Alien Protector book 6 of the Voxeran Fated Mates series is another enjoyable story with delightful characters by Presley Hall. Willow, a Terran woman who was stolen from earth by pirates, is sentenced to a dangerous prison planet along with the bandits when they are caught for their crimes. It is unclear how long she was held by her abusers or how old she was when kidnapped, but the plot does say years, and since she is a grown woman now who does not have any earth memories, perhaps she was very young.

Bohrir is a Voxeran warrior who was imprisoned on the same planet when he and his prince tried to rightfully take control of their kingdom. They were overthrown by the prince’s traitorous brother and uncle. Bohrir and Willow meet when he saves her from her captors and brings her to his settlement. If readers have perused any of Presley Hall’s stories in this series, they know that all of this information is background data that happened in previous narratives.

Willow’s and Bohrir’s HEA actually begins at this point. Willow, who has problems because of her abuse, runs away from the settlement, and while her actions don’t seem too smart, (it is a dangerous planet) she does get along until she must be saved by Bohrir, and then she saves him in return. There are dangerous monsters on this planet after all. From this point on, Willow begins to trust him, and eventually, becomes attracted to Bohrir. He is strong enough, physically and mentally, to allow her to make her own decisions; he never tries to force her to go back to the settlement, and because she wants to learn, she listens to him when he teaches her survival skills. She is a tough woman who survived her captors but was never broken by them. Both the heroine and hero are admirable, and book lovers will be interested to see how they interact throughout the plot and, subsequently, overcome their personal as well as their physical planetary problems. It is a good story with great characters, and it’s another wonderful read by this author!

The healing power of love

Willow was the slave of notorious space pirate, Gornok. Bohrir found her near the end of the events in Her Alien Rogue and rescued her and brought her back to the Voxeran village. Even though she is no longer a slave, Willow has a hard time trusting people and is wary of ever becoming someone’s pet ever again. She decides to leave the village, and live her life on her own in the wilds of Nuthora. When her absence is discovered, Bohrir decides to go find her. Not to bring her back, but to make sure she’s safe. He’s not sure what is driving him to protect her, but he cannot stop himself. Even if it means that he will miss the rescue ship that Droth is attempting to contact. It’s a sacrifice he is willing to make to be with her.

Ms. Hall does it again. She has created a vulnerable, but strong female lead character. I love that she pushes herself because she doesn’t want to live in fear anymore. I also love how Bohrir supports her, without pushing her as well. He is so loving and gentle with her that it helps her recover her lost memories. At first I was a bit irritated that she left the safety of the village but as the book unfolded, I can see that it was necessary for her to grow and find herself and the strength she had inside her. I don’t think she would be the strong character she was at the end of the book without the trek through the wilderness with Bohrir.

I love all the characters in this Voxeran universe. Now that they have a communication device, it’s only a matter of time before they’re rescued off the prison planet and we’ll have a whole new backdrop for further adventures with this group when they return home. I highly recommend this series to fans of PNR books, particularly sci-fi romance.

Alpha heroes in books, especially science fiction romance, tends to have a certain level of aggression that makes us all hot, right? The nice thing about Her Alien Protector by Presley Hall is that despite the hero being an alpha alien warrior, Bohrir had an incredibly gentle and sympathetic demeanor.

The heroine Willow felt super out-of-place in the Voxeran village, even with the human women, because she does not recall how she got to this alien planet in the first planet. Her only recollection is being a slave to a very abusive pirate, which is something she is still processing and trying to heal from.

When she felt claustrophobic with everyone fussing over her, she ran away. Cue the one alien who had his sights on her during her brief stay at the village. Poor schmuck mistakes his beating heart for indigestion or something that is clearly not attraction in his head, but is determined to follow after Willow anyway.

The nice surprise is that Bohrir actually doesn't beat her over in the head (I mean that figuratively) and force her back to the village. Instead, our genteel hero stays with her and supports her determination to stay in the forest until she could sort out her memory problems.

I won't spoil the book anymore than I have, but this was a pleasant short read. I was really glad that despite her memory loss, Willow was not portrayed as a helpless maiden. She was mentally strong and physically capable, and Bohrir understood this and helped it emerge during their forest excursion.

The rest of the series are pretty good, too. Sadie and Jaro from Her Alien Savior (Book 2) were my favorite.

I love Bohrir!💖 this was definitely one of my favorites in the series!

Bohrir, is bigger, stronger and deadlier than many of the other Voxeran warriors. What sets him apart is his truly kind, gentle loving heart. He's a beast when he needs to be but he'd prefer peace any day to war. When he sees Willow in the last book and steals her away from her pirate captors he feels connected to her. No matter what she decides to do he will be there to protect her. Willow was abducted from Earth several years ago by space pirates. She was used and abused and had almost given up on hope. Until the day a huge beast of a blue warrior tossed her over his shoulder and ran. He saves her from the pirates but can be save her from herself. Willow has lived in fear for so long she doesn't know how to trust , how to believe she's truly saved. She's doesn't remember who she was before her abduction and she doesn't believe she fits in with the Voxeran and their human mates. The only one she tentatively trust is Bohrir. He's down he nothing but be gentle and kind too her. Her terror gets a hold of her one night during a strong and she flees the village. Bohrir, follows her and when he finds her he doesn't come her to return, but he shows her in words, thoughts Be most importantly deeds how much she means to him. Bohrir helps her to heal mentally and gives her the love and stability she needs to thrive it's one of the best books in the series . It gave me that warm glowy feeling inside by the end. Highly recommend and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Human Willow was taken by pirates and then send to the prison planet Nuthora with them. Her abduction was so traumatic that she cannot remember her life before she was taken. And so when Bohrir takes her from the pirates and she ends up living with the Voxerans, their mates and the rest of the humans in their village, yes they treat her differently now, but she learnt not to trust any aliens and she is not prepared to stay there and takes her chance to walk away from them determined to face the dangers on the planet on her own terms. However, Bohrir follows her out into the wilderness and instead of dragging her back to the village, just follows at a respectful distance telling her all he wants is to keep her safe even if that runs the risk of leaving his people behind to stay with her. Can Willow learn to trust the warrior and can Bohrir gain her trust?

I really enjoyed this story which showed a gentle approach was possible between a Voxeran and a human. Bohrir perfectly understood that he had to approach Willow gently and slowly in order to get her trust and that helping her with food, bushcraft and her lost memories were a long way towards that. They had many adventures and it was lovely to see their relationship build and then blossom. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

1.5 TSTL Stars

Hopefully this review won't be too harsh because I believe in this series' potential. Book 1, 3 and 4 proved it and even book 5 was okay. However, this 6th book was nothing short of disappointing.

The female character motivations for leaving the tribe after being saved from her captor and abuser didn't make sense at all.

We're talking about Nuthora here. A prison planet full of dangerous aliens. She knows this. Everyone knows it. But, she doesn't care as long as she's free.

Free where? In the wilderness of a prison planet? Yeah, sounds like a good plan 🙄

Another book that I felt wasn't needed at all. It doesn't contribute to anything. Bohrir was a sweet alien but so are the other five before him.

Willow was your typical TSTL character. The author tried to make her seem as if she had a good plan and she had thought things through but it wasn't like that at all. She just needed a plot a for some reason her not remembering her past life was not enough. She also had to be impulsive and take harsh decisions that didn't benefit anyone.

The subplot kind of moves forward. We're told there were some raiders back at camp and so they had to move away from their homes. But that's pretty much it.

Silent but deadly

Willow is Terran but unlike the others was held captive by other prisoners on Nuthora. Her treatment in captivity is hinted at more than discussed so hopefully not a trigger for anyone. Bohrir rescued her and felt drawn to her every since. Willow is very standoffish not just because of her imprisonment but also because she has no memory of her life on Earth. When she finds the Voxeran encampment too constricting, she runs away. Bohrir follows her to ensure her safety. Wary at first as she realizes he won't force her return and teaches her how to survive, she starts to trust him and regain her memories. Bohrir realizes she is his mate but he won't and doesn't use that to pressure her. Their bond grows and they both accept the mate bond. When a threat to Willow and the encampment is encountered, they work together to stop it. Secure in their love, they return hoping to catch the Voxerans and Terrans who are trying to leave Nuthora for Vox.

Another great entry in the series, sexy alpha alien male, strong capable female lead and plenty of sexy times. Fortunately there are more stories to tell as the two groups of survivors try to reach Vox.

So remember Bohrir went with Raina and Kaide on the mission. So while they were in the city Bohrir found Willow. When he saw her, he rescued her from her situation. Her story is a bit sad. She does not remember her past. She gets bits and pieces but not enough. Because of this she does not feel as if she belongs anywhere. When Bohrir rescued her she feels even more out of place. Then she leaves in the cover of a storm. When Bohrir first saw her, something deep in his mind told him she needed him. So when he found out that she left, he went after. Now this is where their adventure really begins. He will try to make it back to the tribe before they leave but if not he will stay and protect her. SWOONING right. Yeah, well Willow memory reflex is on point that is for sure but it does not deter Bohrir. He is one of the sweetest and supportive alien that I have read. He is patient and he tells her that he will only be in the background until she needed him. This one is another favorite in the series. So will she finally accept that she is his mate? So will it be too late to get back to the tribe? Find out how she got her happily ever after. You will enjoy this book.

Disgusting disrespect of survivors of sexual trama

These sorts of books are pretty much garbage and you know the authors have no idea of what real engineers, doctors, even actors truly do. But this book is a new low. The author used sexual trauma as the usual sob story for the female main character without an inkling of knowledge of the resulting issues and PTSD. After years as a sex slave you do not sleep naked with a man wrapped around you within a few weeks of being freed. Being a sex slave isn’t like being a pet or being ‘treasured’. In the author’s world, oral and anal don’t happen to sex slaves either. Wrong. And yes it can feel good - which utterly and completely effs up your mind. The lazy effing author couldn’t come up with a different background for the ‘heroine’ or even take 5 minutes to Google the issues survivors really wrestle with. She went with the worst misconceptions that hurt women even more than the typical nonsense in the romance genre. One wretched witch of a reviewer said no trigger warning needed, well she is wrong, very wrong. I’ve read most of this author’s books but this is the end of the line.

Willow can’t remember anything from her life before her abduction. And now, even safe, she feels like an outsider and doesn’t trust anyone. I loved that despite everything she’s suffered, she’s so brave, kind and compassionate.

Bohrir is strong, honorable and protective and he’s the perfect match for Willow. He’s such a gentle giant with a beautiful soul. I absolutely loved his patience and fierceness.

The development of their relationship was great. It took time to build trust but their chemistry was amazing and scorching hot. And I absolutely loved how Bohrir was so calm and was giving Willow all the choices she’s been denied in order to heal.

Overall, the story is another wonderful addition to the series. It’s filled with emotions, action, mysteries, danger, adventure, drama, steamy romance and magnificent characters.

I loved it and cannot wait for the next one!

Where do I start? This is Willow and Bohrir's story. Bohrir had rescued Willow from the pirates who had stolen her from earth at the end of the last book. Willow is having a difficult time adjusting to life in Voxeran Village so decides to leave..Bohrir follows her. I am so in love with Bohrir! He is a very gentle giant. He has such a beautiful soul as he helps Willow find her way. Willow is lost but is so strong! Like her name, she bends but doesn't break. I love the Voxeran Fated Mates series and again (like every book before it) this one has become my favorite.

Presley Hall has become one of my favorite authors..this book shows why. Her world building is superb. Her characters have depth and are believable. Her stories are gripping. Do yourself a favor...read this book and all the rest of her books too!

Wow, book 6 did not disappoint...we get to know Willow who we met when Bohrir rescued her when they were in Pascia, Willow has no memories of Earth she knows she was abducted but she cannot remember her life before the aliens and she wants to trust these new aliens and the other Terran women but she just can't; and so she does what any self respecting woman would right she runs.

Bohrir cannot understand why he is drawn to Willow he wants to protect her and get to know her but he keeps his distance he can see she doesn't trust him, when she runs he follows with every intention of earning her trust, not expecting to earn anything more.
I can't wait for the next book will the group get rescued and who is next to find their alien hotty.
A must read if you like hot alien romance who fall for strong Terran women.

TW: Slavery, sexual assault, imprisonment

Willow has been to hell and back, terrified of this new life of "supposed" freedom she's been granted after Bohrir rescues her from pirates who used and abused her. Bohrir is so respectful of her need to be independent and her deep seeded fear of being trapped. He openly admits he should have been more considerate of her wishes, and should have asked what she wanted rather than assume. He keeps his word to follow and protect her, step in to help only if she asked. Willow, determined to make her own way, softens for this giant warrior whose only wish is to protect and love her, even if from afar. She can't keep him at arm's length for long though, as the mate bond draws them closer.

One of the few feminist alien romances I encounter, focused on a woman who is silently strong, not shouting to be heard but rather, takes her fate into her own hands.

Bohrir is a gentle giant and I absolutely love him. He is patient with Willow and he does everything in his power to not trigger her or make her afraid. He's understanding and willing to give up his family and a chance at going home just to be by her side and make sure she's safe.

And poor Willow is just trying to make it day by day without being taken advantage of. She doesn't have memories of Earth, her family or friends. All she remembers is years of being abused by alien pirates. I don't blame her when she takes her chance and finally runs out on her own.

Scary, no doubt. But also thrilling.

Lucky for her, Bohrir tracks her down and she is able to finally experience what having a friend is like. He's by her side, helping her remember her past and teaching her how to live on her own.

It's no surprise when the mate bond clicks in to place.

What a series / What a book

Her Alien Protector: Voxeran Fated Mates Book 6
By Presley Hall
Kindle unlimited purchase
Willow doesn't have any memories of my home planet. Everything before she was stolen by alien pirates a few years ago is a blur.
Bohrir Ever since we returned to the village, I’ve been trying to give Willow space. But it never works out. She’s a mystery wrapped in a delicate, beautiful package, and there’s something so haunted in her deep green eyes.
I wish Aug 27 would get here.
Each book is about a new couple and can be read in any order but I recommend reading the series in order it's better that way.

This was a very sweet story more around the character relationship development vs. action packed adventure. The main character Gwen suffers from memory lose and a deep rooted lack of trust. What helps her is her relationship with her mate, Bohrir. I like a bit more adventure in my stories which is why this is a 4 star for me. I did think that the romance was very sweet and I like the gentle giant that Bohrir was for Gwen. I have enjoyed all of Presley's novels but this is just not my favorite due to my particular tastes. I look forward to the next book since in this novel we got closer to the village getting back to their home planet of Vox.

Bohrir was really sympathetic to me from the start. Willow went through a lot before Bohrir could save her and is understandably very cautious, skittish and doesn't trust anyone in the village. I liked Bohrir's approach to dealing with Willow, which she seems to need too.
A quote from Willow from Chapter 11 stuck in my head, which I really liked: "I learned a long time ago that what someone looks like on the outside doesn't necessarily reflect who they are on the inside. There are many beautiful monsters in the universe. ". There's a lot of truth in there ...
I like the way the book series has developed so far and I look forward to reading where the journey (literally) will go!

Her Alien Protector

He abducted her from the pirate that kidnapped her and then enslaved her. He finds that she's his mate when she leaves the village and they save each other. Her memories had disappeared when she was kidnapped by the pirate but her Voxeran mate helps her recover them and makes her whole. The Voxerans have an interplanetary communication device and have to leave their village when word gets out. A warrior stays behind waiting for the couple and they soon catch up with the others. Everyone is hoping to contact someone to rescue them from the prison planet. Good series, lots of imagination.

I love the series but this was my least favorite. The characters had less depth and I found that I cared less about their connection because of this. Ultimately there was a moment where the author had the chance to let Willow’s story come full circle and let her finish that chapter for her life (permanently) but instead she let a male character do it. That was a frustrating decision.

I enjoy the author’s writing but this book just didn’t live up to the others in the series, in my opinion. Maybe because there were topics of trauma that were discussed that I feel are too complex to navigate in 250ish pages.

The book was ok. I found myself skimming pages a lot.

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

She uses to have a gambling addiction on earth. She was kidnapped and held hostage and raped repeatedly by a group of pirate aliens.

The hero rescues her. He didn't know at the time that she was his fated mate. She is afraid of the village and everybody. So she leaves. He follows her and tells her he won't force her to go back but he'll just hang out and keep her safe.

She eventually trusts him and gets her memory back.

They got the interplanetary communicator working. Now they are trying to reach someone on the planet of the hero, who can help get them off of the prison planet.

This is the story of Willow and Bohrir who we met briefly in a previous book. Willow has been a slave all her life and after being rescued by Bohrir, struggles to find her voice. This was a touching story, I really felt for Willow and Bohrir was such an interesting amd HOT character. I loved the chemistry between these two as well as the development of their feelings. A great addition to the series and sizzling hot scenes to boot!

Rescued from a pirate.

This is another great book by Presley Hall. I find it hard to put Presleys books down. It is amazing how she is able to continue a series and not lose the excitement to turn the next page. I was really impressed with this character the male lead recures her giving her time that she needs to recognize how wonderful he really is. I highly recommend this book and with confidence any of Presleys books. I am looking for to the next book in Presley's series.
