This has lost all meaning.

The pace is terrible. The action is boring. The main character is foolish, childish and lacks any modicum of intelligence. Most sections once you finish reading, you find yourself wondering why you did. Nothing of any import happens. This takes the possibility from book one and saddles it with a very bland story, poorly told, involving pointless characters.

Next Book Please?

Would've been a 5 star but for 2 reasons.

1) Formatting and spaceing of pages at times was strange. I tried making the font larger and smaller to change spacing issues, but there were still pages with two lines of text, then empty space. Then the next page wouldn't a new chapter.

2) A South Park reference, almost verbatim from the show. I strongly dislike when RPGlite's (and fiction in general) break the fourth wall like that.

A knock that didn't really affect my rating, but poor editing at some points. Inconsistency with spaces following punctuation is another negative. This is something a spell check/review of the text should catch at some point.

Good story that needs and editor.

As with the first book in this series, there were many grammatical errors throughout this book. From the misuse of Prepositions, to sentences starting with Conjunctions, to the haphazard switching of Tenses within the same sentence, there were errors in almost every other paragraph. I really wish this series was edited better. All the errors really break me out of the story and just makes reading feel like a chore since I inevitably have to report them. This story is great and I will read the next book, but I just hope that future books are looked over by an editor, as that would make this series so much better.

She is a bully.

I like a strong female character but she was just out right rude and unlikable. I hate how the author made her ditzy yet intelligent. Dumbing down your character for jokes and/or exposition is super annoying. She acted like a spoiled child that threw tantrums every-time she couldn’t get her way. Her refusal to really study or enjoy magic also makes a already basic uninteresting magic system hard to read. Again either she is scholarly or she isn’t. Don’t pick and choose different character traits to move the story along. She is self righteous and a bully, and I hate how everyone cow-tows to her. Not horrible writing but not all that great of a story.

Terrible pacing and characters. The main character lacks intelligence in her actions and everyone else seems black and white. The whole story seems to lack something. At times it feels as if the author can't decide between a child's book, young adult fiction and adult fiction. World building seems like the author decided to go with 17th century mixed with some choice 21 century items which are there more or less just for the wow factor without considering how their existence would have changed the world as a whole or influence things at large. After I have read it I had a feeling I could have skipped it and went straight to third book without missing anything.

I loved it

A fantastic book with phemoninal multidimensional characters, thank you so much for your willingness to write. I plan on buying all of your books even if you go on kindle unlimited!

I don't know

It's not a bad book. I just had a hard time finishing it. It was kinda boring. Not sure that I will get book three. Depends on price and how many other books that are ahead of it in my queue

What the hell is the plot of this series

I have no idea where this series is going. The overarching plot is... Very sparse and as a result it makes the main character seems like she's just ambling about for basically no actual reason most of the time.

Decent

Overall, an improvement over the previous book. Certainly interesting enough to continue to the next book. If food, it’d be chain restaurant level.
