the way these two have stolen my heart omg. I adored their story sm. I literally couldn’t put it down. there was angst here & plot twists. the tension between both of them was everything. Ohhhh and the jealousy between them !! Yess. now the only thing I did not like was there is cheating here & I felt like it could’ve been prevented if a certain someone followed her damn heart but overall I enjoyed this story.
it’s crazy bc I felt like Charlie & Lex’s story has repeated with their daughter. I’m not really into love triangles but the way this book had me hooked.
I loved how this concluded Amelia & Will’s story. What a journey.

Spoilers he ain’t the baby daddy of his One night stand but………
So I had a feeling that I wasn’t gonna like this second story of the duet but yet I downloaded it and read it only to confirm my suspicion. So Will has a one night stand with someone who’s having an affair with her married boss and just when he and Amelia look like they’re getting back together her parents say he’s the father of the flings premature baby and she’s dead. Of course it turns out that he’s not the dad but in the end, the happily ever after? Amelia is attached after only three days of seeing this baby in a hospital and decides that she wants to adopt a child from his one night stand. Of which he’s not the biological father at all. Of which he had no connection with this woman beyond a one time drunken hookup. And her reasoning? I want to make sure the baby goes to a good family? She is a STUDENT and newly reconciled with Will, this is not a good time for a decision like this???? So immature and strange plot twist. And honestly this entire book was all about rich peoples problems lots of affairs And while I love it down and dirty, a lot of the dialogue was just stupid smut with no real spice. Like what did the one night stand even have to give to this story? Other than to give them a baby to adopt? Like this is kind of stupid honestly I’m always up for a new author but I don’t think I’ll ever read another one of her books again.

Little disappointed. I didn't care for the odd family members and their crazy dynamics. Wills Dad is a total creep. Just a lot of unnecessary dialogue and incidents that weren't needed. Like Amelias car accident added zero value to the story. Even though I was rooting for Will & Amelia to reconcile they did it rather quickly after she just breaks off her engagement. The whole one night stand, baby drama didn't fit the story. It was like the author was compensating for Amelias miscarriage in the first book.

Amelia and Will grew up together as their family’s are bonded friends since before they were born. There is a 10 yr age gap between them but were close early on.
Will a bad boy CEO and business associate of Amelias dad, lives and works in NYC.
Amelia just moved across the country to starting her first year of college at Yale to follow in her moms footsteps to become an attorney.
Will’s parents also live In the city so while visiting Wills mom she suggest she go visit Will knowing they haven’t seen each other in quite a few years.
Great angst, great chemistry everything that makes for a page turning forbidden romance. There is a book 2 to their story so cliffhanger beware.

з мінусів: по-перше, бісив Лекс щодо відношення до стосунків Вілла та Амелії через їх різницю у віці. ніби він весь такий святий і не старший більше ніж на десять років за свою власну дружину, а по-друге, оці постійні потрахушки з іншими вилилися у відповідні наслідки. чого ще вони очікували?

В другій частині Вілл вже точно знає що він повинен робити і чесно сказати дуже змінився
Я таки не розумію Амелію нашо було погоджуватись на пропозицію Остіна
А так то взагальному мені було цікаво спостерігати за розвитком подій
Якшо чесно то я не люблю любовні трикутники але в цій книзі це було нормально без перебору
Ще хочу звернути увагу на їхні сім‘ї вони м��ні прям дуже подобається і їхня взаємодія це взагалі щось
Це відчувається ніби вони одна велика родина і це так класно🥰
А батько Вілла це взагалі щось я не знаю як його мама його витримує він мені схожий на Ронана з книг Ріни Кент але він напевно гірший ніж Ронан😹 цікаво він коли був молодший теж такий був чи набагато гірший😅
А от як батько то він дуже нічого не зробив тому тут нічого не скажу от батьки Амелії кращі на багато🤷🏿♀️ ну але цей цикл суто про іх родину тому це не дивно

The only reason why I still reading this is because the first book have a unfinished ending. And well the story of Amelia and Wil continues here and it wasn't a big deal. Not only the situation of be true and have the balls to accept the love between them. Probably I would like the story but I feel lost when the other characters mentioned the past and how I probably liked reading first their story but the author doesn't tell you that. Well I hope feel with the energy the read the series of Lex and Charlotte and the others but now i just want read other stuff.

This book, like the first, echoes the exact beats of Lex and Charlie’s story (Amelia’s parents), to the point where it feels less like a tribute and more like a retelling. From the messy love triangle vibes to the miscarriage arc, it’s déjà vu with new names.
Will and Amelia lack the spark that would make their story feel fresh. The spice improved from the first book, which is a small win, but emotionally, the story felt disconnected. The time jumps were more manageable here, yet the pacing still stumbled, and the emotional payoff was lacking.
Plot-wise? The “surprise baby” trope was not only unnecessary—it made absolutely zero sense. The legal logistics were tossed aside for drama (even though it had a bigger part in this book as Amelia studied law). I mean no paternity test before panic? Doctors randomly dishing out info to non-guardians? And Amelia, who supposedly worked hard for her academic dreams and always said she’s responsible, suddenly wants to drop it all on impulse to adopt a baby that wasn’t even Will’s? It was a stretch—even in romance.
And the rushed elopement? While cute, it contradicted itself entirely. If the Adriana and Eric could throw together a whole romantic setup in like two days, why not a proper wedding? The logic just didn’t hold up.
In the end, The Trouble With Us left more questions than butterflies. A finale that aimed for full-circle but ended up spinning in circles instead.

I love reading age gap and second chances, I’m all about conflict. This one is a little difference because they’re family not blood related, (mothers are besties) but they call each other parents aunty and uncle.
There were feelings of betrayal mainly from Lex. How could he, a boy who he thinks of as a son betray him like this. There was animosity between them both. A bit of resentment and also disappointment. Hurt feeling from both. The truth, their connection couldn’t be denied. Life wasn’t fair to them, they shouldn’t have to be apart and feel ashamed because it was uncomfortable for everyone. I absolutely loved how their story ended. It was beautiful moment. Now on to real trouble. Miss Ava Edwards, please step on up. I love how Lex says ‘she’s going to be the death of me’. I love her and I know I’m going to love her story.

When Will gets drunk & tells Amelia how her dad, Lex pretty much made him move to London & gave him an ultimatum & yet, she doesn’t care?! Then continues to ask her dad for advice about what to do when Austin shows up in the hamptons?!!! Hypocrites I tell ya.
Then there’s amelia…. Not so innocent Amelia but is so weak it’s rather annoying.
The ending is the typical happily ever after. All is good in the billionaire family world.

Amelia and Will’s story continues and Kat T. Masen has blown me away. This is a love triangle with a bit of history repeating itself and it has all the angst you can’t wait to sink your teeth into.
I devoured this book, and with a few not so little twists and turns I couldn’t stop even if I tried. It has just the right amount of everything to keep you captivated and enthralled just to see what happens from one chapter to the next. I could feel every emotion in every page and all I wanted to do was jump in those pages and be a part of this amazing story.
The whole gang is back from the Dark Love Series so you can just imagine the fun and shenanigans your going to get as well as all the emotional angst.
Kat T. Masen writes with a passion that draws you into the story, and has you wanting to delve deeper into the characters and what makes them tick. It’s that passion that makes this book the gem that it is and one that for me is one of my top reads this year.
Amelia and Will’s story continues and Kat T. Masen has blown me away. This is a love triangle with a bit of history repeating itself and it has all the angst you can’t wait to sink your teeth into.

I could feel every emotion in every page and all I wanted to do was jump in those pages and be a part of this amazing story.
The whole gang is back from the Dark Love Series so you can just imagine the fun and shenanigans your going to get as well as all the emotional angst.
Kat T. Masen writes with a passion that draws you into the story, and has you wanting to delve deeper into the characters and what makes them tick. It’s that passion that makes this book the gem that it is and one that for me is one of my top reads this year.

The trouble with us is the satisfying conclusion to Amelia's live story. She's been mourning the loss of her love Will and finds herself falling back into the arms of her first love Austin. Meanwhile in London, Will is ready to return home to the States but is struggling with the news that Amelia is now engaged to Will. The trouble with us highlights the struggle and angst both characters feel towards their past and current decisions. Amelia and Will have so much tension and it's easy for the readers to feel the same. This story includes plenty of scenes with the all the wacky families for humor, scenes of jealousy and life defining moments for our main characters. This series has been a joy and I can't wait to see what comes next! Hopefully Ava will be next and have a doozy of a story to keep up with her wild flair.

The ending was very sweet
The characters didn’t seem to have the same level of chemistry as in the first book. The book needed more of something I can’t put my finger on. It didn’t give my the feels but it was a good story. 4.0

The romance between Amelia and Will continues with a surprise or two. I still think she is too young for him. Not so much in age, but emotionally. Even though the marriage proposal was not billion dollar caliber, I rate this book at a 4.2.

Oh my, Kat has done it again. This book gave me all the feels. There were times when I was covered in goosebumps with emotion and then tears in my eyes with the sadness. But also there were times when I was laughing out loud. Cue Eric! He is one of the best characters Kat has ever written in my opinion and I’m so glad he made a welcome return in this book. He was so funny.
I don’t know what it is about these books but I really feel like I am in the story with them, I am so invested in all the characters that I feel everything they go through.
Will and Amelia are the ultimate couple. Talk about a power couple, definitely Lex and Charlie mark two! There are so many twists in this story that made the book so compelling.
I love that the message of this book is that family is everything and with their love and support you can get through anything.

While I did enjoy the 1st book much more than the 2nd book one thing that I did really like in this, given it being second chance trope was that the miscommunication was quickly revolved. I thought Will and Amelia had really good communication skills and you can just see that translated through their love for each other.
I loved all the moments that we got with Amelia and her dad & mom as well as Will and Lex.

Let's begin! So I kept seeing this book pop up on ads on Facebook & on Instagram so I decided to finally take the plunge and read this!
This review will serve as a review for both books!! I enjoyed this little series a lot! I loved Will (though he had some manwhore-ish tendencies & was a bit of a dick at times) I loved Amelia! I loved them separately and I love them together!!
There is a 10 year age gap happening here between these two and just a little bit of taboo love happening as well. I also really loved the family dynamic happening in this book. From Amelia sister Ava and her relationship with her mom. Her dad was a bit much at times and then Will's parents were a hoot especially his dad!!
These two went through hell to get there HEA, but im glad they did there's a good amount of twists and turns to get there at times I was ready to punch Amelia in the head and vice versa with Will. All in all they got their heads outta of their asses because true love always wins my friends!! Also the smut in this book was done tasteful and not super overboard! Also I really appreciated not drawing out the separation and not adding unnecessary drama at the end!!
8/10 - wound definitely recommend!!

A beautiful ending for Amelia and Will
This is the book Teo for Amelia and Will. I read out of order and started with Austin’s and Ava’s story, but I am glad that I circled back. Now I understand better why these two were so in love but struggled so much with trust issues. They had been in a secret relationship that really didn’t help their love but instead it stressed it (in book one) too much where they almost did not recover. Add to their situation that they were forced to give their relationship up by outside sources. Now in this book two, it’s about four years later for both Amelia being in NYC and Will being in Europe. Both of them had suffered life changing losses when they broke up but neither of them knew what the other had gone through since they never communicated either. Now Will was determined to head back to the USA after his forced departure and after seeing a post the the love of his life, Amelia, was engaged to be married to Dr. Austin Carter. Will is determined to get back the love of his life. The tangled web that this story weaves will flow into Ava’s life too. Read On!
