This is the second instalment in the Bad Moon Academy series, and it’s even more fast paced than the first!
Most of my questions from the end of the first book are answered in the first few chapters of this one, and I was really glad that I didn’t have to wait too long to finally understand what was going on! However, there’s still much more to figure out!
This book ends with yet another cliffhanger, and I can’t wait to find out how the rest of the story unfolds!

Just when i think ive gotten this series worked out the plot twists and im completely thrown by it. That happened a lot in this book. Raven (FMC) is a great character through and she seems to have grown more in this 2nd book. I love her wolf Joan. Her pervy comments had me cracking up! Swoon Raven's guys - Draco, Brayden, Everett, Carter and Adler wow did they steam in this book. Still liked that their relationship changed. This series just keeps getting better and that ending had me shouting out at my kindle..................nooooooooooo!! Its a great read that im loving reading. I cant wait for the next book now

This is the second book and automatically picks up from the first book. This cannot be read as standalone. I've said this before, but Joan is my absolute favorite. That thirsty bish had me laughing so much. We watch Raven grow into her own and as the luna. The relationships and bonds grow and get more steamy....and the twist!! Here I thought I had it figured out, then bam! And unexpected twist. Can't wait to the last one!

I had really high expectations of this book. Rory Miles is an awesome author and I loved her Blood Maffia series. The first book in this series was also very promising. It had an amazing mix of romance, mystery and danger. On top of that it had interesting characters I really wanted to get to know better. I was therefore quite happy when the arc landed in my mailbox and I couldn't wait to get started to see how the story would continue.

I'm not entirely sure if it's just a matter of my expectations being too high, but for some reason this book didn't really click with me as much as the first. There is quite a lot of action in this book, there's constantly something going on and loads of scenes are quite thrilling and filled with loads of danger. However, half of the time I had issues keeping up with the mythology and how things worked. I understand we didn't get all answers, but the mythology feels a little... wobbly.

And I had the same when it comes to the harem and the still new relationships. In the previous book our heroine, Raven, was still debating what she wanted and coming to terms with what her wolf wanted and what she wanted and now all of a sudden she was okay with the idea of having five guys, without a clear reason why she changed her mind, apart from the promise of enough power to deal with the big bad.

I personally would have loved a little more emotional loaded conversations, a connection based on more than attraction between the wolves. I know that soulmates are a thing within the shifter world, but I still felt that the difference between Raven's resistance in the first book and her going along with it just like that in this book was a little too sudden. However, I'm still ver looking forward to read the last book in the trilogy, hoping it can give me a little more than this one did.

Woah, Dead Wolf Falling upped the game in this series big time. There's more danger, twists, darkness, and steam. Also, moments of hilarity *cough* Joan *cough*. Some of my theories after book 1 were right (yay me!) but there's plenty that still surprised me and still more to learn. I really enjoy how layered the Bad Moon Academy series is with more than one source of danger/villain (and these are true villains). I felt helpless at times right along with our main characters and other times, I cheered their continued fight.

I still love Raven as a strong but caring FMC. Some of that caring gets used against her in this book, which broke my heart, but that's where the strength of support she has with the guys comes in. Now that secrets are revealed, the guys really step up and they solidify as a unit. They're a new unit though so kinks still need to be worked out (not those kinds of kinks, although maybe some more of that to come in book 3). The steamy moments in between the whole "fighting evil" were great and so are the moments of just connection. I'm hoping that Raven and the guys get some time in the last book to also just be together and have more regular moments, fingers crossed.

Dead Wolf Falling ends on another cliffhanger and *insert wide eyed look* we'll have to see what Ms. Miles has in store next. I knew going in after book 1 that book 2 was going to take me on a ride, so I'm prepared to buckle in and enjoy the hell out of book 3 when it's released. Too bad there's not one of those in-ride cameras with books, I bet Ms. Miles would get a kick out of readers' expressions with this series.

Book two continues straight from book one. I'm pretty sure when I read this book, I think I've worked something out and then the author, Rory Miles throws another plot twist at the reader, but you know what I'm totally okay with that. I love the way that Miles has interweaved not only shifters but also necromancers together to give a really interesting storyline. There's a lot going on in this book, but I devoured every single page from the start. I even got a few answers to questions I had with the first book, but it wouldn't be a brilliant story without the author answering some questions, but giving you even more to ponder.

Bring on book three!

I had to stop and just skip to the end of the book to find out what happens. I love the plot, it’s really interesting and is what has kept me around for this long… but I just find it to be a bit poorly written, I’m sorry but I do. It’s a bit flat. The characters just don’t hold that spark for me. The communication feels a bit weak and not realistic… I haven’t found that spark for the guys that I normally would by now in a book. That one (and only) spice scene in this book was good! But I can’t say I’ve felt the tension or build up between them and timescale wise, it’s all actually happened really quickly. For a few weeks to be written over 2 books I’d expect more, there’s a lot of detail about what they’re up to, where they’re going, the food they’re eating etc but not much in terms of actual character development. I had high hopes, particularly for Adler and braydon but once they come into the story it’s like oh hey they’re here now and not much is said about them, there’s very little intimate and meaningful moments between Raven and them. I’d need more one on one time, more conversations, more feelings expressed/shown/felt. It kind of reads to me like- this happens, then this happens, then we do this, then we do that, then we have this, then this happens…. It’s not really very captivating for that reason. Anyway, could just be me, maybe I just don’t like this style of writing but I am disappointed because the concept of the story is really intriguing and unique.

Action packed second instalment for this haunting series!

I absolutely love how necromancy has been entwined into the shifter world, and then general darkness of this world surrounded by death.

The writing was so addictive (finished in 2 sittings) and the story arc just feels really unique, leaving me wanting book three now!

The dynamic in Raven’s harem has been well planned out and captured, making sure each member has their role to work as a ‘pack’ and the men are just delicious with their various personalities at traits!

Really enjoying this trilogy!

We get a lot of answers and some surprises in this one with some super steamy scenes. I loved the twists and the puzzle pieces! I also love when a series ties in with other series and we got a few morsels of that too. The questions I have left will likely be answered in the finale. This book is best enjoyed binged behind book 1, I think, as there are some parts you will get more from if the details from book 1 are still fresh.

This is simply awesome! I loved book one and book two is every bit as good. It’s a fantastic fast paced read that will drag you back in and not let go. The characters continue to grow and develop in their relationships and the twists and turns are off the hook, I did not see them coming at all! The author is great at manipulation and has created a fantastically entertaining world that I for one love to visit! So looking forward to the next book!

Love this book so much

Ok, this is one book and series you need to read. Even if Rory Miles is evil with her endings, you will be so glad that you picked up the book. It will draw you in and not let you go. You will not be able to stop reading once you start
I am seriously girl crushing on Joan, her sarcasm speaks to me.
We do get a few questions answered, but of course we have a ton more that I need to know the answer to.
Well done, well done

Raven is trapped in Bad a moon Academy again, and Jinx is not about to let any of them out. I really like Raven - she is broken but fierce, sassy, and a fighter. I really like alder and seeing more of him in this book. We do get some answers, but more also happens. I’m looking forward to what happen next :)

Raven has now proof that there is something really wrong at Bad Moon Academy, but she doesn't know what is causing that yet. Her, Joan and their men need to figure out every little secret that the academy holds to finally be free. The book starts right where book 1 has ended, and I cannot wait to see how the story continues.

Wow

I’m blown away with book 2. Omg the twists surprised me and while some questions were answered more popped up. Absolutely love Raven, her wolf, her men and how this book just draws you in. I need more and I can’t wait to read how things turn out in the next book.

Raven never stops entertaining me and she’s matured quite a bit since book 1!
Every single time you think you’ve figured something out Rory throws you one heck of a plot twist. The story will pull you right in.
The harem- Everett, Brayden, Carter, Draco, and Adler are seriously steamy and swoon worthy.
There are so many laugh worthy moments that will keep you thoroughly entertained. I couldn’t put this book down nor book 1. I highly recommend!

I absolutely ADORE Raven! She is strong, unwilling to be bullied into submission! She and her wolf Joan are never boring and their banter back and forth are absolutely hilarious!
The plot of this story is thick and full of twists and turns and will leave you questioning things constantly.
This story picks up where Dead Wolf Walking left off, and I got answers to some of my previous questions.
The Academy is full of so many secrets and so much craziness. I absolutely love it.
Raven solidifies her bond with the harem & oh boy….YESSS! I LOVED IT! The cliffhanger will leave you ready to scream and cry and throw your tablet! Urg! So ready for book 3, Dead Wolf Rising!

Dead Wolf Falling is the second book in Rory Miles Bad Moon Academy series and let me just say...this book does not disappoint. Where book one left me with tons of questions and a bit irritable, book two hits the ground running and kept me engaged to the very end. I practically devoured this book. So good!
Where book one left off with readers hit with a “what is going on here” moment, the author is quick to answer those questions and give readers a ton of insight. Nothing is what it seems at Bad Moon Academy and the shifters who find themselves there are realizing just how horrifying the truth really is. The danger is all too real for Raven, her men and the other shifters that she has befriended. They have no idea how they are going to get out of this, but the first step is going to be to come together. Jinx is flexing her claws and showing that she’ll do whatever it takes to get what she wants.
I love how the storyline progresses with this installment. We get some background on Raven, and the dots start coming together to create a more cohesive picture. The reverse harem really takes shape in this book as well, but since it takes a minute...just be patient. I have to say that I really like more/most of the characters with this book as well. Egos and double-standards get pushed to the side and everyone is working together. Some fur does get ruffled but it’s nothing that creates a major sticking point with the storyline.
Now, the author promises a happy ending with book three, but for now...this book ends with another major twist. When I turned the next page despite the “to be continued” I was like Raven looking around for the next chapter. LOL! I need to know what happens next!!!
I’m rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This book is way better than the first and I absolutely devoured it. I can’t wait to find out how it all ends. There is more to come and I am all here for it! If you enjoyed the first book in this series you’re not going to want to miss book two. If you were like me and were kind of middling because of book one, take a chance and check out book two. It’s better than the first!

RH/Shifter/Academy

SYNOPSIS (of 3 Book Series): The FC is a college age human who is an ex alcoholic suffering from depression after her mother committed suicide. She is bitten by a werewolf one evening and force to attend Bad Moon Academy to learn how to be a werewolf. It turns out that the Academy is more of a prison and is under a Demon curse instigated by the pack alpha. It is a place where “turned” shifters are sent by the Alpha pack to learn how to be shifters and not for pure bred shifters. You cannot escape the Academy and the demon that controls it uses the inhabitants to siphon their life force. The story revolves around the FC meeting and falling for the MCs and discovering exactly what is behind the Academy. It then moves on to how the curse can be broken and the inhabitants freed. There is a HEA

The books are decently written but I found them to be superficial. Whilst you get a degree of the FC’s background you do not get any real sense of the MCs, where they come from, what their stories are, who their families are etc. Everything seemed to be surface level and, as a result, I found it hard to really engage with the characters or the story. I cannot say that I liked any of the MCs particularly and they generally came across as weak. The storyline goes in circles for a while when the FC is finding out what is happening with very little happening and I began to feel a bit claustrophobic with the story failing to progress.

This is also another author who builds up the big bad villain and, whilst there was a degree of comeuppance with the demon, the face off against the alpha was over in a blink and left me feeling cheated. The story dragged somewhat and the whole storyline about Death made little real sense except to try to add drama. No one beats Death and how the author deals with making sure Death does not come after the FC/MCs is trite and manufactured. It is annoying when an author builds a story and drama and then resolves it by introducing a miraculous third party to save the day. It’s lazy and unsatisfying.

The upshot for me was that whilst these books were decently written they did not engage.

Welcome back to another episode of what did Rory do to Cat now.

In this episode you will find me getting questions answered and Rory smirking cause I think I have it all figured out.

Spoiler alert I don’t. I really don’t.

Dead Wolf falling has left me with even more mounting questions and my already left the station sanity launching into orbit.

I not only highlighted and marked what I considered to be clues but mapped out an entire conspiracy map that DID NOT HELP ME WITH THE ENDING.

Listen my guys, I fell asleep during season 2 and woke up in season 53 with a hatchet and a drill Sargent screaming at me to MOVE MOVE MOVE!

This book series has my adrenaline through the roof and cardiac arrest a constant.

I need more people to be on this island with me.

After the cliffhanger from the last book, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this. Rory didn’t disappoint with it either. There a lot more going on at Bad Moon Academy and it’s up to Raven and her men to figure it out. Together they try to find answers but with them comes a price.

The book starts off where the first left. We find out there is a demon spirit not only controlling everything they see around them but who has the power to destroy them all. Rory and her guys get closer and build their relationships in this book. We get a lot of interaction between all of them and a very steamy scene. We find out who Brayden was and I was definitely not expecting that. We also have more Adler since he joins them at the academy. Raven tries her best to protect everyone but can’t save some against Jinx’s power. We have some twists and revelations. I love how protective everyone was with Bea. Joan’s batter is one of the highlights. She’s as feisty as Raven and their relationship is amazing. I like how they are starting to communicate better.

The whole book I kept wondering what would happen next. I can’t wait to find out more about the alpha and what he wants out of this setup. Also, eager to hear how the other guys got to Bad Moon and more of their background. Of course, the book had to end on another cliffhanger. We got some hope only for it to be squash at the end. I’m left with a lot of questions and concerns and worrying a certain someone is okay. I don’t know if I can handle if anything happens to them. I’m going to need book 3 asap before I go crazy.

Holy smokes did this book leave me feeling dead with the killer information we were given!! Rory definitely killed it in this book and there were plenty of times that I found myself yelling at the book and the men and the mean twists! I absolutely loved every second of it and secretly think that Rory needs a mug for all the tears from her readers!

The plot for this book gripped me from the beginning and I could not get enough of it! I was hanging on and loving the answers that we were getting from both the men and what Raven was learning about herself and this new world. Jinx was a mix of surprise and pure evil that I wanted to half strangle and then just wished Raven would tear her apart lol. We got to learn a pretty interesting secret about Brayden in this book and I found myself rethinking a lot of the first books scenes and it had my head reeling. Joan is also my absolute favorite! Her comments to Raven are just pure gold and she really keeps you on your toes. Raven grows a lot through this book and meets new characters while you learn about some other characters that turn out to have more secrets than you thought.

Overall this was such an incredible read and I cannot wait to find out what is going to happen next in this series for Raven and the Bad Moon Academy! Raven is a strong willed character that you won't be able to get enough of!

Oh my God, Rory! What have you done to me!?!?

Dead Wolf Falling picks up right where Dead Wolf Walking left off and I got some answers to my previous spiraling, but I still need more! Throughout the whole book, I kept wondering what was going to happen next.

We learn that there is a demon controlling the academy and the alpha is somehow connected too, but I'm not quite sure how yet. I loved that we got to finally see Brayden! Raven finally solidifies her bond with her harem and they all bring something specific to the harem. I hope we get to see more of their past in the next book.

Let me tell you about Raven's wolf, Joan. She is a hoot! She's a little peen crazy and a little bite-y, but she is hilarious. I love Raven and Joan's banter throughout the book. It really brings a lightness to the book.

I am shocked. Just when you think that everything is working out, you get thrown off that giant cliff and I am crying! Like, why?!? Who hurt you to make you hurt us this much?!? This better be fixed... I cannot wait until Dead Wolf Rising!

A lot happened in this second installment of the trilogy. We started right where we left off in book one and started to get some answers. As the book progressed more answers were revealed but there were a lot of questions. The buildup of the book was slow and the ending occurred pretty rapidly. The cliffhanger wasn’t horrible but it did leave us with a lot of questions.

The story was told through multiple point of views and I think this worked very well. It was very well organized and I liked seeing the different ways that people interpreted what was happening. We got to meet some new characters Let’s see how they worked within this world.

I really enjoyed the pace of this book, I feel like a lot happened. My only problem was that I kind of forgot some of the roles of the characters so I had to remind myself but thankfully the author did give a few descriptions so you could quickly refresh. Looking forward to the completion of this trilogy.

So with the clock ticking down to imminent death, Raven is struggling to find answers on how to save everyone. Jinx is using all the shifters around her as leverage to get her to behave, and only loosely sticking to the deal they’ve made. But with little to no real food at the academy, they’re starting to wonder if they’ll survive to the end of the time limit they have. This book answered a lot of questions the first one gave, while giving you some more to keep the mystery and intrigue alive. The suspense is gripping, and leaves you on the edge of your seat, and the characters are well rounded. Tensions are running high with some of the shifters, and and now Adler is no longer Ravens hope for escaping. She has to find a way to escape herself, but with her steamy harem, she’s holding onto hope. Will they figure it out and save everyone in time?

Oh boy make sure you have some towels handy when you read this book because this just turned into some panty drenching realness. So much happens in this book and I’m like hey get out of here I need more harem scenes (shakes fist at evil things that keep interrupting).

But in all seriousness I absolutely love how Raven, Carter, Everett, Adler, Draco and Brayden have become so close. I enjoy watching their relationships evolve and become stronger. I love how much of a pervert Raven’s wolf Joan is like hello talk about stealing the spotlight. Also please tell me that somebody is going to rip off the alpha’s head and drop kick into the forest or stab him in the eye with a fork because what a douche.

Another book another cliffhanger another I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

Raven's time at the Bad Moon Academy is getting more and more challenging with every day spent within its walls. Not only is the demonic being upping her game, siphoning more power and becoming deadlier, but also the Alpha shows his face. Even though Raven takes a big step with her harem, she must leash her powers tight and control her power in order to keep everyone safe and survive, but that is a challenge that might be out of her capabilities..
The second book in the series brings more of everything. More danger, more violence, more darkness, more emotions, more steam. Relationships in the harem are a tangled mess, especially with Adler entering the picture. Yet I enjoyed the dynamics even though I wanted to strangle some of the guys at several occasions, and have my hopes high for the next book.

Tricky demons...

So far this series has been a mix between dragging and fast paced...does that make sense? Let me try to explain. I say dragging because jinx is a constant looming threat day in and day out, even though for the most part she isn't there except for a few appearances. In this book they have to continue their day to day lives like jinx wants them to. The monotony of it just makes things drag. I say fast paced because the relationship (if you can really call it that) went from zero to 100. Yes they had crushes on each other but I felt there was barely any interaction between the characters before it was all in. Raven tends to be a very standoffish person so maybe that's why I feel that way. Ill admit this wasn't my favorite book but it still hold interest and the ending proves to be another cliff hanger that I can't just ignore lol

I'm still enjoying the series. All the twists and turns keep it fresh. ignoring the not so great male narrator is harder as the book is so good, and I wish the narrator matched it. His parts are glitchy and sometimes switch in flow, like he's redone a part mid paragraph or sentence, and they tried to stitch it together.

Anyway, the book itself is entertaining, Joanne is hilarious with her comments, and I love her for her horny self!

Raven, our FMC, is growing in power of who she is as well as her sups powers. The MMCs are finding their places, and their individual traits make the group dynamic interesting.

The smex is needed and hot, although a one off sadly in this book. But they have an enemy to fight, and Jix needs to be dealt with if they are to enjoy their newly formed bonds

Wow you definitely want to carry on with this series!!
Raven is really coming into her own as Luna with the help of the wonderfully snarky Joan whom literally floors me with her her one liners - “bad boys bad boys whatcha gonna do” I laughed so hard 🤣
Raven also collects and claims her 5 mates ….. wozeers it’s gets steamy folks 🥵😍 some interesting twists with the boys too, but they come together as a great mix!
We do get some answers to questions raised in the first book particularly surrounding Raven and the Big Bad…..although all not what it seems there….a lot more too it! But be warned there are deaths along the way 😭😭
But my gosh that ending….actual heart stopped ❤️‍🩹
Seriously read it guys won’t be disappointed!!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DEAD WOLF FALLING". This keeps you glued to your seat so action packed, intriguing situations, suspense,so
addicting you can't out down.
Raven & her men have some pretty steamy scenes, she's sassy & a fighter with her men being there to help her try save everyone some secrets revealed but there are still unanswered questions.
There's a Demon spirit at Bad Moon Academy who's
controlling what's going on & has the power to destroy them all can Raven & her Harem save them or will it be their destruction.
I definitely recommend to get this amazing book with so many twists & turns also the crazy cliffhanger which leads to the next book I need ASAP "DEAD WOLF RISING" to see how it all ends.
