There’s a dead man on her floor and a smoking hot, alpha male knocking at the door.
Grumpy Hero Dante Drago saves the day — for a price — he demands Savanna López stand in as his Fake Fiancé in this steamy Mafia Romance.
Dante:
The very thought of having Savanna caged up, beholden to me, makes my pulse quicken and certain parts of my anatomy swell with messed up, forbidden longing.
Right away, I know I’ll see that craving through.
She’s on the run.
A weakness I can’t afford.
Three servings of disaster on a platter.
This girl does seductive, dark things to me like I’ve never felt before.
I’ll keep her secret, but she owes me one.
She’ll be under my lock and key, except for her shifts at the bakery.
The only problem with my evil plan is that it backfires.
Now she has my baby inside her, and there are two people to look after instead of one.
Lord knows, I’m no angel.
Will she let me be their guardian, watching over them both?
This Juicy Mafia Romance has a super protective, hot alpha male who stops at nothing to protect his girl. It’s a stand-alone in the Rough Redemption Series complete with HEA and no cliffhangers. There are fiery hot scenes in and out of the bedroom!

I really enjoyed Olivia Fox's other series, and while her writing "touch" was in this as well it didn't completely hook me. But I'll continue on with the series later although I think the problem is that I've read to much if her works in a short period of time and I can start getting author slumpy after a while
Dante is willing to help Savanna for a price but as they begin to spend time together sparks fly. What will happen when she ends up pregnant? Fast-paced steamy read with loads of drama, suspense and sizzling scenes. I really liked it.
I have rated Punishing Thirst at 4.8 stars and HIGHLY RECOMMEND–MUST READ!!! Punishing Thirst is an erotic, dark, suspenseful, mafia romance. This story is about love, fear, untrusting, obsession, possessiveness, angst, and Intense-Scorching-Hot-Steam 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.
This is the first book I’ve read by Olivia Fox and was so impressed by her story telling to get to the point—the steamy scenes— while maintaining realism without losing the reader. The story was believable enough to me that it flowed seamlessly. I appreciated the descriptive steamy scenes and wasn’t bogged down by unnecessary drawn-out fluff. Olivia Fox is a true master in the erotic romance genre she deserves a hot-steam-worthy🔥🥵 two thumbs-up 👍👍 and a round of applause 👏 for a great drool 🤤worthy read.
Savanna Lopez is a survivor, untrusting, kind-hearted, and reserved. She relocates to a small town to distance herself from a stalker that has caused fear and debilitating panic attacks and chronic insomnia. She dresses in baggy clothes and wears goofy glasses to look unattractive, anything to divert male attention off of her. The last thing she is looking for is male companionship to occupy her time; however, she cannot deny her insane attraction to Dante. Still unsure if the danger she tried to escape is behind her, she remains hopeful but vigilante of her heart.
Dante Drago owns and operates a construction company that has proven to be very lucrative for his mafia family. He is an obsessive, protective, determined, loyal alpha male with deep dark rooted issues from his past leaving him broken and tortured. After losing his fiancé to an auto accident three years prior, Dante has been dormant and uninterested in relationships or love—until Savanna. Upon meeting her, he was instantly drawn to her sassy, goofy, clumsiness and immediately felt a connection and innate sense of protectiveness of her. She was the complete opposite of the type of women that usually attracted him and was baffled by his sudden intense attraction towards her. His dormant dominant cravings awake from hibernation with a strong desire and hunger to do whatever it takes to make Savanna his.
As Dante runs for Union President, he takes that opportunity to use Savanna to return a favor to him that will gain favor and votes with the union. Reluctantly, she agrees to be his submissive and fake fiancé for three months as payment for unfortunate circumstances that have her indebted to Dante. Attempts on Savanna’s life have Dante obsessively protective and will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe while making every effort to gain her trust.

It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.
If you’re into the whole spanking/mild torture thing, you’ll probably really enjoy this one as the author knows how to set up a steamy scene. Personally I liked all the others parts way more with Savanna penetrating Dante’s broken frozen heart by just being herself. Dante made use of Savanna’s dire situation and solved his instant obsession with her along with fitting her into his plans for promotion within his family. I liked the way the author had Dante totally focused on Savanna. The perfect blend of obsessive, possessive, protective, and jealous made Dante a worthy book hero for me. Kudos to the author for zero cheating and the way the loss of his first love and his memories did not cause over dramatic bone headed scenes.

A simply captivating read, great characters and plot impossible to put down Savannah had been on the run hiding from a man that had been her worse nightmare since the day she had met him and refused his advances, he had not taken her rejection well and had hurt her by continuing to threaten and pester her. Unfortunately, she had to leave her home and take refuge with her Aunty who had been so kind and understanding allowing her to live above the bakery. Working alongside her aunt making sweet creations and working alongside her in the coffee shop and bakery where they had a good turnover of regular customers and passing trade. Dante had come into the shop to buy one of the carrot cakes he loved so much and had instead found himself an angel who had practically fell at his feet whilst she held onto the carrot cake for grim death. He then had decided that the flooring was not safe and that he would return the following night with a replacement non slip cover. This had been the day that marked the change of both Savannah and Dante when he had found her after she had been attacked and had to rescue herself, Dante had stepped in and taken the traumatised Savannah to his home whilst he arranged for the disposal of the evidence lying on the bakery floor. He ensures that apart from Savannah and himself the only other person with any knowledge of what happened was his cousin and family took care of each other no matter what! As he cares for her and they begin to spend time together he realises that she is the first woman he’s had any feelings for since her death, but she had stirred something in him and he knew that he wanted to keep her with him forever no matter the cost, she was his and he was hers. This is a wonderful read there are plenty of surprises and the characters are so wonderfully written along with plot, the author captures your interest right from the very beginning and you are left totally entranced by the plot what is going to happen next. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Dante is a man who has not had a serious relationship since losing his fiancé years ago. Savanna moved to a new town to escape a stalker. While helping her at her aunt’s bakery, she meets Dante and awakens his desire.
This story was intriguing but a few things bothered me. First, Savanna is running from a stalker and every male she meets terrifies her to the point of panic, but the first day she meets Dante she is kissing him and wanting more. That is not normal for a woman who has been assaulted. Secondly, the second day, Dante takes her home after her stalker has found her and they have sex and he tells her he never wants her to leave...even threatens to tell the authorities about her commotion crime to keep her. That is a little on the stalker/psychotic side.
But aside from those setbacks, the story was entertaining.

I looooved Savanna and Dante so much! Dante is fierce and protective... and beyond alpha. He is absolutely obsessed with Savanna from the moment he meets her. Savanna is no meak wallflower... I loved that she is just as fierce. She is a lot stronger than she gives herself credit for... intelligent, witty, and sweet. She can hold her own and doesn´t need a man to protect her, but she finds herself relishing in Dante´s protectiveness. She flourishes in the freedom of her submission to him. She is his true match... giving as much as she receives. The story is incredibly well written (as with all of Olivia Fox´s books) - it has a great flow that pulls you in and carries you through the story. You can´t help but be pulled into their passion, their desires and darkness, thorugh the suspense and the drama, and thorugh all the feels that these characters go through. A great addition to this addictive series!

A captivating read by Olivia Fox about Dante and Savannah. Dante and Savannah both have had traumatics events in their past and when Olivia goes into hiding in her aunty’s town she meets Dante who is immediately attracted to her. Unfortunately Savannah’s stalker catches up with her and Savannah takes drastic steps, Dante swoops in to help her but with one condition that she pretends to be his fiancée. Through the time they are together they develop feelings for one another and their relationship progresses. A great read that was enjoyable with strong characters and a great story. Dante is an alpha Italian male who is domineering in his own way but only so he can protect Savannah and I love his passion. Savannah is stronger than she thinks and together Savannah and Dante are a force to be reckoned with. A great start to this series. I didn't care much for this book. I didn't dislike either character, but I also didn't get any sense of chemistry from them. It was ok. I skimmed through a lot of the sex scenes.
The dialogue didn't flow for me. It didn't feel like Dante and Olivia were having comfortable or natural conversations. Even the conversation that was had prior to and during their steamy scenes made me think of a bad porn movie. I have read this writer's books before and never had that experience.
It was a bit of a struggle to get through. There were some Interesting parts of the book, but for whatever reason, the book could not maintain that steady level of interest for me.
My recommendation would be that you read this book and judge for yourself. I am sure some people will enjoy it much more than I did.

I admit, the author did a fabulous job of piquing my interest in the weeks leading up to the release. After reading the prequel, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Dante Drago. I wasn't disappointed. Dante is sexy Italian alpha with just a hint of soft-hearted Dom. Savannah was a mixed bag for me. It seemed like she was wishy-washy and weak for part of the book, then suddenly she's a dragon queen. But, her character did have quite the backstory so I can excuse a little hesitation on her part. A few loose ends were also left hanging in regard to the death mentioned in the book description. I'm not sure if that was an oversight by the author or will be resolved in book two. Overall, I really enjoyed the book and definitely the teaser for Antonio and Daphne's story coming soon. I think this series may be a favorite of mine this summer.

This lady always seems to surprise me with her writing. I’m used to the romantic sexy hot stories. Ok I’m kidding, not really, I love mafia stories that have meat to them. I know that Olivia was trying something new and I’m very pleased with this series so far. This mafia family is true to the meaning of family. Santa had his heart lick tighter then a drum until Savanna made her entrance in a slipping fashion at her aunts bakery. With the death of Dante’s gf and Savanna stalker things just weren’t right for them separately. Until one night when Savanna is pushed to the limit. Will Dante’s by the knight in shining armor! Turn the page and read on.

*Spoiler* Dante's family is in the Italian Mafia and that means he is a connected man. That makes it so much easier for him to call in a favor to help Savanna when he finds her at her Aunt's Bakery covered in blood. Savanna touches something protective and possessive within Dante that has been hidden since the death of his Fiancée. She isn't sure she is ready for another relationship, much less one involving such intense emotions. Great story with great characters and some extremely hot and intense sex scenes.

This was one of those stories that I felt like I read before on Fanfiction; either in part or revised. However, this one had a LOT more sex than I remembered. Hot sex, but a LOT. The story was good and the characters appealing, but there was something missing in the delivery so for that it only gets 3 stars. I also should mention that it seemed like there are words that were looked up in a thesaurus and plopped in place but the flow was not correctly utilized. Otherwise, it as well written with very few grammar and spelling errors.
Lots of sex scenes and a fast paced romance. I was a little disappointed in this book as I usually like this author but I found this one didn't flow well and the characters didn't always seem true to themselves. Had lots of potential but didn't quite reach it for me.

This story is intense. It is so hot. Right from the beginning to the end, these two set the pages on fire. There is some depraved and kinky scenes bit it is to be expected. Highly recommend it to the genre lovers. Beware there are a lot of sex scenes. The two main characters are insatiable.
That was extremely sexual. The story was great but it seemed like every other page was a sex scene. Course, it didn't stop me from reading it. Lol. Loved the characters. Can't wait for the next one.
Pretty good story but a little over the top ridiculous. The story starts with our heroine on the run from a stalker. Who we know ZERO about. Not really sure why he was so threatening. I guess he killed her dog? Yikes! Anyway, next thing we know, our heroine has bloody hands & a dead body. How that happened? What happened? We don’t know… so I’m guessing we weren’t supposed to like stalker (despite not knowing him at all) & be happy he is dead (despite not really knowing how or why she killed him). She is not one bit remorseful (weird even if he was crazy, I mean she just killed someone!) she’s just happy he’s gone but it’s hard for us to understand since we didn’t know stalker, AT ALL. I guess it was a way for our hero to blackmail our heroine into dating? I feel like it was hard to empathize with this totally fine, non-remorseful crazy murderer. Ok, whatever… Our hero sounds like he enjoys himself a crazy hot kinky time but I have to say it was pretty much just some spanking and mostly vanilla sex. Slightly disappointing. Not to mention they only have a very brief introduction before “dating” and first time she tries to start a conversation to get to know him, he shuts her down saying they are beyond small talk? I got his point but as far as we know they have never talked nor know anything about each other. His response to seeing her murdered stalker, ‘I don’t know who that guy was & I don’t care. Im sure he deserved it’. Not ‘are you ok?’ Or ‘who was this guy’ or even ‘hey, tell me what he did to you to deserve this?’. Basically was like “I don’t care about anything about you, your past or anything important to you, I just need to use you for some sex”. And our TSTL heroine? Tells him it’s just a temporary arrangement (I hate relationship/ love denial characters, they’re exhausting). He buys her a ring, proposes, tells her he loves her for real and they are meant to be together forever and she constantly tells him it’s only temporary. See? Exhausting. Finally knocked up heroine admits it’s actually love. Duh.
I really enjoyed this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with a few exceptions. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Savannah was relatable although at times she really frustrated me with how wishy-washy she was at times. Dante seemed surprised by his reaction to Savannah at first but accepted it very quickly. I didn't like that he compared Savannah to Lilly multiple times but I actually think that it's natural and normal to do so. Dante's guilt was also understandable. The dynamic between Dante and his family was different but kind of expected and their acceptance of Savannah was really sweet. Dante and Savannah were good for each other. The way that Dante took care of Savannah's Aunt Teresa was wonderful. Kate was a supportive best friend and Dante encouraged their relationship. I loved Dante and Savannah's happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This book grabs your attention from the very beginning and doesn't let up. There is instant attraction between Savanna and Dante, but they've both had passed issues to deal with. When Savanna's stalker finds her and attacks her, she ends up killing him. Dante rescues her and has the crime scene cleaned up and takes her home with him. The attraction between them explodes. He's running for Union President in his Mafia Family and wants Savanna to be his fiance to help him win. Then there's a murder. Who did it? Will Dante be able to protect Savanna? You'll have to read to find out how everything plays out. You won't be sorry. Can't wait for the next book. Patsy Sacco
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. The first book in the Rough Redemption series is about Dante and Savanna. These two have an attraction that grows from the first. When trouble finds Savanna, Dante is there for her with a condition. The start of a fake relationship soon turns into deep feelings for each other. Dante has found his equal and perfect match while providing the safety and love that she has needed. I enjoyed this story and the characters. I am looking forward to the next story

Savanna left Oakland because of a stalker, and she is working in her aunt's bakery in Briarville. The first time she sees Dante Drago she ends up tripping and ending up on the shop floor. Savanna is the first woman Dante has been interested in since his fiancé's death three years earlier. He calls into the bakery to install non-slip flooring, and finds Savanna holding a bloody knife. Her stalker had found her and attacked her, and she had defended herself. Dante calls on his family connections to make the body vanish, and he takes Savanna home with him. Can he convince Savanna to stay with him?

Another excellent story from Olivia Fox. When Savanna finds herself in trouble, with a dead man on her floor, Dante Drago comes to her rescue but at a price - she must become his fake fiancé! However, theres nothing fake about the explosive chemistry that erupts between them. This passion leads to more complications. Can Dante keep her safe? Will Savanna accept Dante’s care and help? Dante and Savanna's story is a rollercoaster ride filled with danger, action, drama, and steamy. What more do you want? A really well written story with engaging characters.

I really tried. This book had potential but by 40% I just didn't give a f**k anymore. Life's too short to read books you just can't get into, especially when there are billions of other books to read. Ms. Fox tried too hard to make this a mafia romance with an alpha-protector hero. The hero came off as impulsive (he went from wanting to fake a relationship to wanting a real one in a single chapter), and the heroine was like a hussy who whined about feeling like a hussy but then didn't stop herself from acting or thinking like a hussy. Neither character was solid, the plot was weak, and the H/h connection was non-existent.
What direction was this book even taking?!?!? All it did was jump around and the author "told" you things, not "show" them. I wanted to fall in love with these characters, but I could not relate to either main characters! Their personalities were very two dimensional and their "relationship," if you even want to call it that is all about the steamy times. Now don't get me wrong, I love a good steamy time between characters, but that was literally ALL they did. There was no relationship building or any romance, just straight up lust. Precede with the book if that's what you're into...🤷♀️
Mafia member Dante Drago finds Savanna López next to a dead man on her floor and agrees to keep it a secret if she stands in as his fake fiance. The thought of her under his control certainly makes him very hard and he can't want to get her home. But over time his plan backfires as he has two people to protect when she falls pregnant.
This was a pleasant read that had its dramatic moments as they both navigated the dramas of her stalker and Drago with his mafia lifestyle. However, there is no doubt that central to this was a love story that had started in a fake relationship that was then very sizzling between them as it developed into something more. Definitely for mature readers only.
