This was ass wipes, the dialogue needs so much more polishing, the chapter is clunky and don't flow that well sometimes we jumped into the next day, sometimes months and sometimes just from the previous chapter

I really enjoyed it. The psychological issues here are raw and real. I wish it was longer with a deeper venture into those issues. But the writing is well, the characters are unique even if sometimes I didn't see the connection.

the plot was juvenile, but the characters were endearing. i wish they were fleshed out more. they have the potential to be very complex and interesting, but all we really have is flashes from conan’s past that he doesn’t talk or think about, parker’s dead ex bf that we never talk or think about, and the super sweetie pie best friend freddie. but yea everything kinda just fell flat. despite this, i loved conan. i wish we could know more about his past and especially about why he has such a strong reaction to touch. it’s alluded to, but never explicitly said. wish it was made clear if he is autistic ??? he’s heavily autism coded. i wish that was explained better

I was floored by this story. It stabbed me in the heart and made me laugh at the same time and I just kept thinking the characters were so precious, especially Conan.

I read plenty of stories on Wattpad and this story has so many views and votes that I find it amazing to be honest. Not many stories are written so we'll and make the character mean so much to me.

Conan's character is very likeable and very endearing. I haven't read many stories with characters like him. I feel his character has depth and I love how his mind works and how philosophical he is and how pure his character is. And yet you can already tell something terrible happened and traumatized him and, well, he's not like other characters unique and beautiful - There are not many words I can't find to truly describe what Conan's character was like to me. I can tell you, that I absolutely adore him!

And don't get me started on Parker, oh boy, he... Is something alright. I love his character as much as Conan, though Conan is at the top of that list, haha. How Parker is towards Conan, makes my heart melt and just how sweet and attentive he can be in his own way, though yes he has anger and grief that are troubling him through a tragic loss of his own and it impacts his character how one would expect but he does treat Conan with care and that is beautiful and I find Parker is quite a decent guy towards despite his troubles 'bad boy' attitude linked to the loss of someone he loved that he was deeply affected by.

Zev and Freddie are really good friends to Conan and I feel like they are a good balance as well in the dynamics of friendship. It's wholesome and very endearing. The whole story, to me, is phenomenal and outrageously beautiful and artistic beyond words. I love it so much😭🥰💕💖👑. It may not be a best-seller in the eyes of the world by a well known author (yet? Who knows what the future holds and what the author of this stories goals are, that is up to them) but to me it may as well be! It is in my eyes! I think and feel more people should read this story on Wattpad and give it a chance because it deserves more attention (Conan is just so dang pure and precious and I want to protect his character!) and then go buy the second one and read it from Amazon, (it's titled Darker Parker (Conan the Dandelion #2).

I haven't even gotten to read the second one and I'm dying to! But I honestly can't afford it for a long time so it will have to wait. I hope someday soon I will be able to get it. Please people, give this story a chance and show it more appreciation. There are actually quite a bit of truly incredible stories on Wattpad worth reading. All you have to do, is give them a chance 👀☺️. It's worth it. You know you want to! Just do take a peek and read it! 💕💕 Hehehe. If you like it, great! If you love it, that's freaking fantastic and if you don't, well, that's fine too ☺️👀. You won't know until you take a look yourself! 💖 Go check it out🤭😉

Half a year. That’s how long this book sat on my shelf, waiting for the perfect moment—only for me to realise that every day I put it off was a mistake. Conan the Dandelion is not just a book; it’s an experience, a poetic ode to the resilience and fragility of humanity. From its first page to its last, it moved me in ways few stories ever have.

I.J. Hidee’s writing is nothing short of breathtaking. The prose is poetic without being pretentious, balancing raw emotion with delicate beauty. This isn’t just a story about two individuals; it’s a meditation on life, pain, and the ways we find beauty even in our darkest moments. Conan and Parker are layered, flawed, and achingly real, their struggles written with such nuance that it feels like you’re stepping into their world.

Conan stole my heart. His social awkwardness, his quiet strength, and his relentless determination to push through personal boundaries make him an incredibly relatable and lovable character. The way he perceives the world, his reflections on life, and his tender vulnerability are nothing short of stunning. I often found myself lingering on his thoughts, marvelling at how Hidee brought such profound authenticity to his inner struggles.

Then there’s Parker. If Conan is the heart of this story, Parker is its raw, exposed nerve. Grief has hollowed him out, but the way his pain is written—his destructive tendencies, his fierce emotions—makes him feel so painfully human. What truly stood out, though, was his tenderness. Parker’s sensitivity to Conan’s aversion to touch, the little things he remembers about him, and the affection behind his nickname, "Dandelion," gave me goosebumps. That nickname, and the way it tied into Conan’s character, was one of the most impactful moments in the book.

Their relationship is one of quiet, understated intensity. Parker’s love for Conan is evident from the moment it begins to blossom, and even after the heart-wrenching events of chapter 17, that love never wavers. Their connection is as fragile as it is beautiful, and it’s written with such grace that it feels alive.

The character development is another highlight. Not just for Conan and Parker, but for their friends as well. Each character feels meaningful, with their growth and interactions adding depth to the story. By the end, I felt like I knew them, like they were friends I’d grown to care about deeply.

This book is truly a masterpiece. The only reason I’m not giving it a full five stars is because of the sneak peek at book two. Why, I.J. Hidee? Why crush my happiness like that? I was content with the way this story ended, with my imagination spinning its own happily-ever-after for Conan and Parker. And yet, that glimpse of what’s to come has compelled me to immediately purchase the sequel.

Conan the Dandelion is a story that will stay with me for a long time. It’s a testament to the beauty of resilience, love, and the human spirit. If you haven’t read it yet, I urge you to pick it up. It’s a journey worth taking.

Quite a few plot holes and flaws within the writing... I was willing to look past it throughout the book because I love the author, though.
It only took me a couple of hours to breeze through it. In the end, I'm glad I did, and I'm all too ready to read Darker Parker after the cliffhanger!!!
But really, Hidee, my girl, HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?!?!?

I DO NOT claim the ending.
For me this ended when they shared their first kiss (reason is simple, I am the biggest hater of sad endings and it can't be a cliffhanger since the second book is available like nowhere)

I got angry at parker at places and conan was sometimes childish idk
But parker was hot and conan was iconic
Ryan, freddy and Zev are my love idc
