Two Words I'd Never Say Again

Rate this book
Never marry the same man twice

The day I married Hank ranks as the best day of my life. The worst day?
The day he left.
He wants us back together, but I can’t go through all that pain again. That’s why I’ve ignored his calls for a year.
But it’s pretty hard to ignore him now that we’re in the same wedding.
Due to a mix-up with the rooms, we end up sharing a cabin. A weekend in a romantic cabin is like playing with fire. And he is determined to go above and beyond to win me back.
My defenses start to crumble, and I’m tempted to give him another chance. But doing that means admitting one small secret. A secret that might destroy our second chance at love . . .

Two Words I’d Never Say Again is a sweet romantic comedy with heartwarming characters and a touch of sizzle that will have you laughing your way to the happily ever after.

I was super curious to hear Hank and Nacha's story after meeting them in the previous book. I really enjoyed this one as well, this has been a super fun series to escape into. The plot for this one was a bit different, the story starts with Hank and Nacha having been divorced for over a year. But neither have really moved on and they're sort of in a limbo. I can sort of understand Nacha's feelings, but I think she way overreacted and it's weird it took them so long to have a conversation. I did like that she had to work to earn his trust back, but that also took a really long time. I would have liked to see them together a bit more. I did like Nacha quite a bit, Hank is super stubborn! I hope they will learn some good communications skills so they dont drive each other cray the rest of their lives. lol

Overall, this was a fun installment in the series. I like stories about married couple and seeing them work through their issues and come out stronger. Good book!

The Road To Forgiveness and Trust

What a fun series this is! I'm really enjoying it and I love how characters from previous books don't go away. It gives a sense of community and family. The previous book made me really interested in these two main characters and I'm glad I finally got the low down on their relationship. Forgiveness and trust are hard earned in this story. I don't know that I completely bought in to all of their reasons for everything but I loved where it all ended. I'm looking forward to the next book!

Sweet second chance at love

I was excited to read Nacha and Hank’s story after reading the first two books in the series (they really should be read in order). I loved how it began, and it was so sweet to see these two people with broken hearts learn to love and trust again. I will say I wish there had been a bit more clarification on what exactly happened between them- you kindof get the picture after a while but never really understand how it all happened. The ending was my favorite and the second epilogue was the absolute perfect way to finish this sweet story off!

Y'all. All I have to say is... holy moly! I did NOT see that one coming!

I know I say this about all the characters in this series but... oh how I adored Nacha and Hank! Their story is full of the good, the bad and the ugly. The twist in the beginning kinda left me speechless with my mouth hanging open. After I recovered I may or may not have said (a little too loudly) What in the ever loving world just happened?! Y'all. My new neighbors are really going to start thinking that I'm crazy. 😂 Nacha and Hank's journey may have been filled with ups and downs, but it was absolutely beautiful.

I loved seeing couples from the previous books as well as getting to know characters from up coming books. Cami and Harper's book is next and I can already tell you, I'm going to love it! She is a sassy ball of energy and he's probably the biggest flirt out of all the characters so far. It's going to be fun to watch them get their HEA.

If you can't tell... I am loving this series! These books are just so good! I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Y'all know how much I love my epilogues, right? Well guess what?! All of these books have BONUS epilogues! I. Am. In. Heaven! And I think this should become a thing for ALL authors... just sayin... 😉

I am so glad that I discovered Ms. Carrington's books. I've loved all the ones I've read so far. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series and some of her other ones.

As for my casting... I think these two are perfect! What do you think?

Love is a decision...

... then it's self donation

Book 4 of this very engaging series is still full of humor, but the premise is not quite as lighthearted.

Nacha & Hank divorced only a few months after they were married.

Nacha doesn't show it, but she's kind of a mess. On the positive side, it helps me understand a little better why Hank was such an emotional wreck in the last book. Still, while Hank's temper may not be classically abusive, that side of the mix isn't helpful or healthy, either.

Thankfully they eventually end up with a counselor because they seriously needed professional help. Thankfully, there are amusing & lighthearted moments interspersed between the difficulties.

I could understand Hank (& the rest) being upset about Nacha keeping the truth from him, but not to the extent & in the way that he was. It's not like he had wanted the divorce, & it showed him that Nacha wasn't ready to leave, but again, communication was a major problem in their relationship, so - Yay, counseling!

I did like seeing them making themselves communicate with each other, even though it was frequently painful. Instead of grand, dramatic gestures, they had to do lots of smaller, yet still challenging ones.

It was difficult to watch Nacha humbling herself repeatedly, not having seen all the times she made Hank do so - I had to keep reminding myself that she was atoning for having done it to him first & worse.

The reconciliation was a wonderful payoff, however, and the ending made it worth the struggles!

I loved Mama & Aunt Joji - they were fun. And Cami is hilarious - "like a 3 year old who has had too much candy" sums her up perfectly. Can't wait to see her story with Harper!

*Romance level: passionate kisses, implied intimacy between married people, nothing graphic

Absolutely love this series! I read this all in a weird way so even though this is the 3rd book in the series it is actually the last book for me. :(

I didn't think I'd like it since it is about a couple getting back together after a divorce.....sort of. You'd have to read it to make sense.

I did like that I finally found out what Nacha's secret was and to make sure you read it I'm not telling! :)

This review is my honest opinion. I did NOT receive a complimentary copy. I bought this/ read it on KU.

Oh my goodness, I was surprised by how much I loved this one! Love getting redeemed is one of my favorite things to read, and this was so sweet! I like that they didn't shy away from the real issues in their relationship, but they both wanted to work through them together and not give up.

I'm absolutely in love with Ms. Carrington's books. This one is a touchdown for me (not really a fan of football) but this is the best one yet. The storyline is amazingly thought and let me tell I usually do not read a book twice this time I did. Nacha and Hank's story is so touching. Anyone checking this review out should read all her books. I love the plot of this story most of the time you might see the male character do what Nacha did not the other way around. This was fresh and so entertaining, I could not put the book down and even got my coworkers interested in the storyline just because of the title. I'm avidly waiting for the next installment. I do not know how to praise this book any further without spilling all of the good stuff out there.
Bravo Ms. Carrington

I really loved this cute story. It was fun and charming and exactly the type of story I needed. The characters were relatable and easy to fall in love with. The whole time I found myself rooting for Hank. This was a sweet, feel-good story that had me captivated till the very end. Hank and Nacha were great together and I just loved their chemistry. I adored this charming story and if your looking for a fun and sweet escape, you definitely want to pick this up!

I liked this emotional story built from misunderstandings and regrets. The chemistry is strong between the characters so it was interesting to see where the author might take them. Every line of dialogue and every action and reaction totally fit the story. I enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read more from this author.

Loved this sweet second chance romance with Nacha and Hank who are married but he thinks she has divorced him. After they were married for only a short time he decides to take a job in another state and she is not happy and does not move with him but send him divorce papers three months after he left. He signs the papers with a broken heart and returns them to her but she never signed them herself. When they have to spend time together with each other at his sisters wedding who is also Nacha's business partner things get really interesting. Delightful read and loved all the characters in this book and there are some unique people in this book.

Nacha and Hank had been married for three months when she served him with divorce papers. Now a year later they are to stand up with his sister as she married Hank’s best friend. Nacha tells Hank it’s over between them. She finally tells him that she never finished the divorce. Can they ever get back to when they were happy?

Well written story that will make you chuckle and also bring you close to tears. Loved all the characters from Nacha and Hank to their families and friends. Remi Carrington at her best writing a good clean romance.

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review

Two Words I'd Never Say Again is an intense, but also surprisingly funny, second chance romance. Nacha and Hank have great chemistry. Aunt Joli is wonderful character. Nacha probably had the most issues to overcome. There is plenty of drama and angst plus some laugh out loud moments. I appreciated that both Nacha and Hank did a lot of work to resolve their issues; it was not instant bliss. I could not put the book down.

With a title like this, I didn't know what to expect from the story. I was very pleasantly surprised & loved the story. Hank wants Nacha back but what she did after getting him to sign the divorce papers makes it worse than him walking out on her & she has to do drastic things to win him back. Thank goodness for his Aunt who believes in them & Nacha's mom. This is a really fun story. I received a free copy from the author. I am choosing to leave a review.

Hank and Nacha fell in love quickly and married shortly after but it didn’t take long for things to fall apart. This story is about their path to reconciliation. It will tug at your heartstrings and make you feel the heat of both their anger and their love. I’ve been loving this whole series and this book is no exception. Highly recommend! I was entrusted with a copy of this book by the author and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Two Words I'd Never Say Again was a fun, interesting read. There were times that I wanted to shake the MCs, but who wants to read a book about two perfect people? The quirks and missteps are what make for an entertaining romance. Aunt Joji is a hoot! There is a great HEA and epilogue and even a bonus epilogue that I enjoyed. I'm hoping that there's another book in the series as there's a couple that I'd really like to read more about. Pretty please, Ms. Carrington.
I received a complimentary copy. I chose to write a review and share my opinion of this well-written romance.

I received an ARC to review: Wow! Remi takes "fight for the one you love" to a whole new level in Hank and Nacha's story! Whilst dramatic, raw and intense, it has oodles of love and chemistry . As usual, the series' notorious humour adds delight and chuckles into the mix. I think I can go so far as to say this is my favourite one yet!!

Language: clean
Sex: none detailed, marital PG chemistry is described
Triggers: divorce; lies & deceit; betrayal; childhood hurts; near-drowning experience and subsequent fear

I loved Remi's book featuring Nacha and Hank. What a captivating romance about reconciliation! I read this in two nights and would've read it in one if I hadn't needed to homeschool the 5 kiddos the next morning. If you love witty characters, hilarious situations, and romances that sizzle while being clean, you don't want to miss the Never Say Never series.

Another winner! The thing that I loved most about this book is that everything wasn't solved in a blink of an eye. So many books, make it look like being in a relationship is easy and problems are easily solved. Real life isn't always like that and this book reflects that.

I can't wait for the next book in the series. Remi always has quirky humour in her books that makes you laugh out loud but also writes likeable characters that could be your friends in real life. I got this book in exchange for an honest review. I'm always happy to do this for Remi, because I've never read a book of hers I haven't liked.

Read this book, read the others - you will enjoy them.

More Than a Pair of Jeans, #1 - Lovely. Funny. Cute. I had so much fun reading this sweet romance. Wonderful characters and interesting story lines. Written by a lovely Texan and set in Texas, complete with horses, cattle and goats. Cannot forget about the mice and kittens. Plenty of social media, too. Has a preview of the story. 5*

More Than a Pretty Face, #2 - I just love this series. This story has such cute and sweet characters with plenty of humor. No silly mind games, just people trying to make a life with the person that they love while taking care of their friends. Living well, working hard and loving with all their hearts and souls. 5*

Stargazer Springs Ranch series:
Wrangled by Lilith, #1 - I love this sweet, funny story, even when the last page came too soon. Everyone was good people whom I met before with the Stargazer Cowboy series. The dialog between Beau and Lily had me hurting from all the belly laughs. Ava added her share to the mix. Good story lines. Texans will especially enjoy this book, location and dialog. 5*

Enchanted by Joji, #2 - I love the books Remi writes. Well-written, romantic, funny, and nice characters you wish were real. Actually, you'll find people like them all over Texas. This second chance romance for a couple of 40-somethings is another fun read in this series. It is without the typical drama found in other books where she's a nut job and he has no backbone. Both work through their pasts to reach their future without the stupid formula problems, drama and actions. A feel good story. 5*

Helped by Ava, #3 - Ava is so strong in all the other books, yet, here was a bit of a headcase with her lack of self-confidence. But all worked out in this sweet, funny marriage-to-dating romance. That lil youngin Mason shared some good advice. The Mrs. Kravitz church member met her Samantha, mean ole biddy. 4*

Inspired by Mindy, #4 - You're never too old to change. Sweet. Romantic. They are both headcases, they get better once the ball gets rolling and they're working towards the same goal. The route they take is old fashioned and I love it. It is one of the best ways to learn about the other. Sir had his act together. 4*
Stargazer Springs Ranch series end.

Never Say Never Series:
Three Things I'd Never Do!, #1 - I read Enchanted by Joji when I discovered this series featured characters that would later appear in the Stargazer Springs Ranch series. Skid to a halt and shifted to reading this sweet, funny romance. I love all the characters, the interesting story lines, and the fact the author does not do the typical stupid formula, nut jobs and immature, stupid drama and decisions. It is easy to slip into one of Remi's well written books and not come back to reality until the last page. So have the next book on hand. Spoiler: The last bathroom scene is original and just as great as the first bathroom scene. Sweet and clean, nothing nasty. 5*

One Guy I'd Never Date, #2 - They have been in love for twenty years but did not know it. Big Brother keeps his Little Sister and his Best Friend apart while he did not follow that rule with her friend and co-worker. Carrot is a bit silly and Zach is not perfect. He puts beans in chili but he did have Moon Pies and RCs (RahC and chocolate or banana Moon Pies, best dessert mix back in the 60s). Waldo is a hoot. 4*

Two Words I'd Never Say Again, #3 - This is so much fun to read. There is a lot of humor, along with one of my favorite characters, Joji. Joji teamed up with Nacha's mom is a continuous hoot. Mix in the rest of the cast and it is just a sweet second chance romance story. 5*

One Choice I'd Never Make, #4 - I love Lilith and Joji, and now I love Cami. This was so much fun to read. No head games, just someone who knew she was good enough; no lack of self-confidence for Cami. Harper is so romantic and has a good head on his shoulders. Man, it is difficult not to go into book report mode. Fun. Romance. Wonder support characters, just like a large family or old-fashioned neighborhood where everyone had your back. 5*

Three Rules I’d Never Break!, #5 - All the guys in these three related series are great. This is a cute romance complete with a dog, a goat and a '71 Datsun. 5*

Two Risks I’d Never Take Again!, #6 - Sweet. Funny. Relaxing little romance with the same fun gang and a new story line. There are several chapters giving updates on the whole gang two years later. 5*

One Whopper of a Love Story, #7 - A fun tale about a mermaid and 21 frogs and the guy who rescued her. Layla is a fun person and Nico is another of the perfect guys. 5*
Never Say Never Series ends.

Kissing Holly - A simply cute, sweet romance between two people who knew each other in school. He was dating her older sister in high school. They are perfect for each other with their large caring hearts, their sense of humor and their holiday names. There is a lot of joking about their names. Plenty of humor. Plenty of love. Plenty of feel good and happiness. 5*

Nacha and Hank are loving married couple until Hank announces he’s taking his dream job in another state without consulting Nacha. She reacts by “divorcing” him.
Yeah, he chased an individual dream in a macho way without involving her.
She reacted by cutting him off. She beat him to the hurt feeling he had abandoned her like her biological father.
He bangs on about not being able to trust her. He doesn’t really deal with his macho one sided decision making.she wins him back learning to cook his traditional favorites. She had to do more of the lifting getting them back together. He surprises her with a redo of their vows without involving her in the decision making. Nope. Building a Newhouse with a pool even though she’s terrified of water. Nope.
Better story would have been more evenly shared responsibility and dreams. He does get points for initiating marriage therapy; however, I didn’t hear him having to deal with his issues like she did.

As always, an intense, yet funny, second chance romance that will keep you reading and is next to impossible to put down. This story of Hank and Nacha and their bewildering marriage is just full of the author's resourcefulness in scripting a storyline that has you shaking your head, chuckling and down right laughter! My husband's ex did not pay her lawyer and consequently the papers were never filed with the court! It's funny after the fact, but not while it's happening! So, I had a different view on this book than perhaps others!

I read this book as an ARC back in Dec, but my review is not showing up so this was a second review. This is my honest and voluntary review.

The only time I enjoy reading about a divorced couple is when they are trying to get back together -- knowing this was the premise of the book I had high expectations for this story!!

This one had me on an emotional rollercoaster and I devoured it!!

I knew Hank was stubborn from the prior book, but he reaches new levels here!!

I appreciated the careful (and more real than romcom way) they journeyed back to trust and love. Don't get me wrong - there are plenty of hilarious moments as well -- trust and love are hard, but worth it and this book describes their beautiful and also difficult sorry.

Also, there's a plot twist that left me speechless!!!

I struggled with this one. Hank was completely unlikable in the previous book and Nacha was unlikable in this one. Basically they both are terrible at communicating and also overreact a lot. So I couldn’t relate to them at all and had very little sympathy for their self inflicted misery.

I’m glad they got marriage counselling and that the fix took work. It’s the only thing that makes the happy ending remotely believable after that start!
