I’ve always had a life plan: go to college then law school, land a job at a prestigious law firm, get married to my college boyfriend in a big, but tasteful, wedding, have a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence and at least two brilliant, well rounded children.
Then everything fell apart.
When my best friend, Cassie, suggested I pivot and try the “saying yes” plan, I realized I didn’t have anything else to lose. That’s how I found myself as a delivery driver for Pete’s Pizza the summer before leaving for law school and delivering pizza to the hottest guy I’d ever laid eyes on…but can I say yes to him when we have very different plans for our futures?
Nick
My sole focus for the past several years has been on getting my company, Blaine Construction, off the ground. All the hard work is about to pay off big time in the form of some very big, very lucrative contracts. I can’t let my focus waver.
However, that has grown increasingly difficult since getting a pizza delivered by a tiny, curvy, brunette driver from Pete’s Pizza. She seems to be all I can think about, even though I don’t have time for dating or the drama that goes with it.
Things take a turn when the beautiful brunette and I agree to see each other until the end of the summer when she leaves for law school. With a definite end date in place for our summer fling, it’s not like I’m going to catch feelings for her. I’m not a ‘feelings’ type of guy. At least I wasn’t…until her.

4.5 stars Saying Yes is a sweet Young Adult romance read. If you are after hot and raunchy this is not the book for you. Jenna is suffering the effects of being dumped by her previous boyfriend when she is fired from her job. Feeling totally down she calls on best friend Cassie to cheer her up. Cassie hatches a plan that Jenna must say Yes to every new opportunity that comes her way.
Jenna was easy to warm to and I loved her zany friend Cassie. Cassie said what she thought in an honest forthright way. Her character brought a real vibrancy to the story.
Nick is dedicated to his company. He lives and breaths work with no time for a relationship. Nick also has an outgoing, outspoken friend in Baxter. I enjoyed Nick and Baxter's banter and their friendly ribbing. It came across as realistic and natural.
This was a fun read with introvert Jenna having to say yes to lots of things that were outside her comfort zone, like a job as a pizza delivery girl and a ride on a motorbike. Nick and Jenna's relationship is fraught with problems which had me eager to see how they would work it all out.
Saying Yes is a heartwarming, fun and sweet romance story with themes of communication, opening up, being yourself and finding the one. *I received my copy from the publisher https://theburgeoningbookshelf.blogsp...
I usually gravitate toward books filled with heavy tension, angst, and spice—but this one was completely different. And honestly? I really enjoyed that change.
This is a soft, sweet young adult romance that leans more into healing, self-growth, and taking chances than anything else.
Jenna is at a point in life where everything seems to be falling apart. She’s just been dumped, lost her job, and is left dealing with it all on her own—because even her parents aren’t really there for her. The one phrase that keeps echoing around her life is “it’s just not working, it’s time to move on”—and you can feel how much that slowly chips away at her.
Enter her best friend Cass, who pushes her to do something different for once: stop planning every second of her life and just start "saying yes."
That “yes” leads Jenna to a job as a pizza delivery girl—something completely out of her comfort zone. And through that, she slowly starts building a life beyond the one she had carefully planned. New people, new experiences… and eventually, Nick.
Nick Blaine is a work-obsessed business owner who has zero time (or intention) for relationships—until Jenna quite literally shows up at his door with pizza. What starts as harmless flirting turns into something more… especially when he orders pizza four days in a row just to see her again. (I mean… if that’s not commitment, I don’t know what is.)
Their dynamic is sweet, flirty, and easy to fall into. But what really stands out is how real their fears feel. Jenna doesn’t think she’s enough. Nick doesn’t want to hold her back. And instead of communicating, they both hesitate—leading to the biggest frustration of the book: miscommunication. So much of what they go through could have been avoided if they had just been honest with each other sooner.
But at the same time, that’s what makes the story feel human.
What I appreciated most is that this book isn’t trying to be overly dramatic or overly spicy. It’s simple, wholesome, and quietly emotional. It talks about heartbreak, fear, taking risks, and learning to open yourself up to love again—even when it’s scary.
It’s not what I usually read, but it was something I genuinely needed.
A gentle, heartfelt romance about stepping out of your comfort zone, choosing yourself, and learning that sometimes… saying yes can change everything.
And honestly? I’m really looking forward to picking up book two.
Saying Yes: Stormy Love: Book 1 Written by: Ella Sparkle Cherry Publishing (Editor)
You read the blurb, you open the book and sometimes you get a pleasant surprise.
I will admit, I read those hot, steamy, romances….all the time! But Saying Yes was such a refreshing change and with that change came pure and utter enjoyment!
Jenna Morgan has been struggling for months, her long time boyfriend literally walked away from her and their relationship, her parents were of no help, they left her floundering with her emotions and now her job has let her go. There was one common phrase used in all these let downs “it’s just not working, it’s time to move on.” That one phrase could put anyone in a tailspin but for Jenna to hear it from trusted sources devastating. Thank goodness she had her BFF Cassie on her side. Her advice, stop following your life plan and start just “Saying Yes” to everything you would have said No to before.
Nick Blaine has poured his life and time into building up his baby Blaine Construction. His company has been growing and giving back to the community and right now the last thing Nick wants in his life is a distraction. Knock knock new Pizza Delivery girl Jenna has arrived with his order and – BAM, instant attraction between these two.
Here’s the kicker, the innuendo, the words, the situations take the place of the hot steamy scenes that I usually love reading. INNUENDO, WORDS, SITUATIONS they give you what isn’t actually written. Ella Sparkle gives you a story of hurt, rejection and heartache, then turns it into a story of hope and love. She has the angst; the misunderstandings and she still keeps you hooked through the entire book. Not what I expected but what I enjoyed savored and celebrated at the end.
Say Yes is a sweet young adult romance that is a wonderful surprise to read. Ella does a wonderful job of grasping her reader's attention with the beautiful story of Jenna and Nick.
Jenna thought that she had everything planned out for her future, go to law school, get married and have a wonderful life. She had the guy, they had been dating all through college and on the day of their graduation, he dropped the bomb and dumped her at dinner. Deciding not to go to law school, Jenna takes a job at a law firm until she goes to school, well she lost that job as well. Her BFF, Cassie, comes over and gets her to agree to a yes contract. What is it? Well, Jenna has today yes to everything instead of no. The first yes is to a job at the local pizza place as their delivery person. She really enjoys the people that work there and they have become friends. She has one delivery that takes her back. Nick is a hot guy that starts to flirt with her, or she thinks. Over time she sees him again because he keeps ordering pizzas. She accepts a date and things go well. Can she let him in or will she lose Nick as well? She is leaving for law school, what will they do? Does this relationship have an expiration date?
Nick owns Blaine Construction and that is his life. He doesn't go out or date and doesn't want a relationship because his company takes all his time. One night he orders pizza and is taken back by the beauty of the pizza delivery girl. He starts to flirt with her but he never gets her name, she gives him Pizza Girl as her name. He wants to see her again but for the next four days her orders pizza but no Pizza Girl. Was he imagining her? When he finally sees her again he is not going to let her get away without her name. They do go out a few times and he is changing his mind about no dating. He uses suggestive talk to get her interested and she loves it. Since she has a date that she is leaving for school, maybe they can just have fun while she's here. Can Nick keep his feeling at bay? Will his heart think something different than his mind?
Ella writes a story that covers friendship, taking chances, broken hearts, communication and love. I thoroughly enjoyed this story as it is different from what I am usually reading. It was refreshing to have a light and sweet read that kept your attention right from the start. I look forward to the next book in this series.
Thanks so much Ella Sparkle by Naughty Nook PR for the book. I was gifted this book as an advance review copy (ARC) for free, and I am leaving this review completely voluntarily.
I went into this looking for something lighter after a streak of darker reads, and it ended up being exactly what I needed. Saying Yes follows Jenna as her carefully planned life falls apart and she decides to start saying yes to things she would normally avoid. Along the way, she meets Nick, and what starts as something simple slowly turns into something more meaningful.
This was such a cute, easy read. The writing is smooth so I found myself flying through it. The chapters flowed nicely into each other, and finished it in one sitting. It has a sweet and cozy vibe overall, which made it the perfect palate cleanser for me, but there are still a few spicy moments mixed in.
I really enjoyed Jenna as a main character. She felt very relatable, especially if you are someone who tends to overthink everything like I do. Her internal struggles felt realistic, and I liked watching her try to step outside her comfort zone, even when she didn’t always get it right.
The chemistry between Jenna and Nick was obvious right from the start. And honestly, I have to give him credit for the effort. Ordering pizza every night for a week just to see her again was both bold and kind of adorable. He was emotionally available without being overwhelming, and I liked how he supported Jenna without trying to control her or change who she was. That said, there were moments where he felt a little too perfect. He is the kind of guy that only really exists in books, which didn’t ruin the story for me, but it was noticeable at times.
Happy reading friends, ~ Maebae 💚
I’m a fellow book lover reviewing the good, the bad, and everything bookish in-between. All thoughts, opinions, and reactions are completely my own. I wasn’t paid, sponsored, or influenced in any way.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Saying Yes by Ella Sparkle completely stole my heart in the best way possible. This story felt like a warm summer breeze mixed with just the right amount of emotional depth, and I found myself smiling, swooning, and honestly not wanting it to end.
Jenna is such a relatable heroine. Her perfectly planned life falling apart hit in a very real way, and watching her step outside of that rigid path and start saying yes to the unexpected was both inspiring and refreshing. There is something so powerful about seeing a character let go of control and finally allow herself to live, and Jenna’s journey captured that beautifully.
And Nick… wow. He is the kind of book boyfriend that sneaks up on you. Focused, driven, and a little emotionally guarded at first, but underneath all of that is a man who feels deeply even if he does not want to admit it. The tension between him and Jenna was everything. Their chemistry felt natural and electric from the very first pizza delivery, and I loved how their connection slowly deepened into something neither of them planned for.
The summer fling setup with an expiration date made every moment between them feel more intense. You can feel the ticking clock in the background, which adds this layer of bittersweet anticipation that kept me completely hooked. I kept rooting for them even when they were trying to convince themselves it was temporary.
What really stood out to me was the balance between light, flirty romance and genuine emotional growth. This was not just about falling in love, it was about choosing yourself, taking risks, and realizing that sometimes the life you planned is not the life that will make you happiest.
If you love a story with strong chemistry, a swoony but grounded romance, and a heroine finding her way after everything falls apart, this one is an absolute must read. I am already so excited to see where this series goes next.
Saying Yes is the kind of romance that feels like a warm summer evening. Sweet, a little messy, and full of heart. Jenna had her entire future mapped out. Law school, a dream career, and the life she always expected to build.
When everything falls apart, she decides to try something new and start saying yes to opportunities she normally would avoid. That includes taking a summer job delivering pizzas and unexpectedly meeting Nick, a customer who quickly becomes a lot harder to ignore than she planned.
Nick runs his construction company with complete focus and discipline. Relationships are not something he is interested in, especially when his business is about to take off. Jenna, with her awkward charm and sunshine personality, completely disrupts that focus. What starts as a simple delivery quickly turns into a temporary summer arrangement that neither of them expects to mean anything more.
The grumpy and sunshine dynamic between Nick and Jenna works so well, especially because Jenna feels so real. She is anxious, awkward, and trying to figure out what her life looks like now that her carefully planned future has disappeared. Watching her slowly rebuild her confidence and take small risks made her incredibly easy to root for.
Nick’s gradual shift from determinedly distant to quietly protective was just as satisfying. Their connection grows in a way that feels natural and sincere, and even with a closed door romance the emotional chemistry comes through clearly.
Saying Yes is a charming story about letting go of the life you thought you wanted and being brave enough to discover something new. It is sweet, hopeful, and perfect for readers who enjoy grumpy heroes, lovable awkward heroines, and romances that focus on emotional connection and personal growth.
OKAY HI NOW ONTO THE REVIEWWW😭💗 this book was honestly such a sweet little comfort read. It gave me that warm, soft, summer‑night feeling and I wasn’t ready for how attached I’d get.
Jenna is SUCH a relatable main character. Her anxiety, her overthinking, her whole “my life plan exploded and now I’m just trying to survive” vibe… painfully real but also kinda healing. Her POV feels natural and easy to read, not stiff or fake at all.
And NICK. PLEASE. Their chemistry is SO GOOD 😭🔥 The second they meet it’s like sparks everywhere and I was immediately invested. He’s patient, gentle, and the way he supports her through her anxiety?? I melted into the floor.
But CASSIE. MY BELOVED. She is chaotic, hilarious, and the exact kind of best friend who would drag you into a life‑changing adventure because she loves you. Every scene with her made me smile. I adore her with my whole heart because she is me and I am her.
The whole book is just fun and cozy. The side characters add so much charm, the romance is blushy and sweet, and the pacing makes it such an easy, quick read. It’s the perfect break between heavier books.
Now onto why this book isn't a 5...... Personally, I wanted a little more depth in a few emotional moments. But honestly, it didn’t take away from how cute and enjoyable the story was.
Overall it's light, adorable, comforting, and full of heart. It made me want to take chances and maybe say yes to things I’d normally avoid 😭💕
Thank you to Hawthorn & Aster and Ella Sparkle for the 2026 ARC!
Sometimes you just need a book you can take a deep breath and hit the reset button with. Saying Yes by Ella Sparkle was exactly that kind of read for me.
Instead of relying on heavy trauma or over-the-top drama, this story tackles the very real, very exhausting pressure of having your entire life perfectly mapped out, only to watch said map catch fire. When Jenna’s plans fall apart, her decision to pivot and just start saying "yes" to random, unexpected things are relatable. This leads her to a pizza delivery job, which drops her right on Nick's doorstep, a guy whose life is all work and zero play.
Ella Sparkle does an amazing job of exploring Jenna’s anxiety without making it her entire personality. The grumpy-meets-sunshine dynamic with Nick is electric from the start and watching him slowly rearrange his strict priorities for her is the best part of the story.
The chemistry and emotional connection between Jenna and Nick are front and center here. While they definitely stumble over some communication hurdles as the summer winds down, their hesitation makes perfect sense for two people who are terrified of ruining their respective futures.
This story is just a genuinely comforting, sweet read about taking a chance and seeing what happens when you stop trying to control everything and just say yes! I highly recommend it if you need a feel-good palate cleanser.
A Huge thank you to Sarah Sparkle and Hawthorn & Aster for the ARC read! 🫶
Book: Saying Yes Author: Ella Sparkle My Rating: 3.5/5 ⭐️ Spice Level: 0/5 🌶️ Genre: New Adult romance Release date: March 24th, 2026 Tropes: - Grumpy x Sunshine - No-strings summer fling - Saying-yes-only plan - Accidental meet-cute - Anxiety rep
My thoughts: I think this book was cute, but honestly, some of the characters made me so mad. Like no offense, but how are your communication skills THIS BAD. Also, I think the dialogue needs some work, (idk but it feels unnatural)… I cried while reading this soo I dont know what to feel about Saying Yes. I honestly like the side characters more than the main characters (Cassie ♾️)
Blurb: Jenna I’ve always had a life plan: go to college then law school, land a job at a prestigious law firm, get married to my college boyfriend in a big, but tasteful, wedding, have a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence and at least two brilliant, well rounded children. Thank you Naughty Nook PR and Ella Sparkle for the ARC copy of Saying Yes in return for an honest review.
I really enjoyed Saying Yes by Ella Sparkle. The concept of the story felt refreshing and different, and I liked how the book centers around Jenna learning to let go of the perfectly planned life she thought she wanted.
One of my favorite parts of the story was the chemistry between Jenna and Nick. Their connection felt natural and fun, and it was easy to root for them as their relationship developed. Nick was charming, and I liked how supportive and protective he was toward Jenna.
I also really appreciated the anxiety representation in the story. It added depth to Jenna’s character and made her journey feel more authentic as she navigates big life changes and steps outside her comfort zone.
Overall, this was a sweet and enjoyable romance about taking chances, embracing unexpected opportunities, and discovering that life doesn’t always have to follow the plan you originally set.
If you enjoy romances that focus on personal growth, strong character chemistry, and characters learning to take risks, I would definitely recommend this one.
Ahh this was so fun! It weirdly put into perspective how much can change if we step out of our comfort zones once in a while, and I mean that in the best possible way. Jenna deserved better than the hand she was dealt, and Nick deserved someone who understood his crazy schedule but didn't overthink it. I'm so glad they took a chance on each other! Although they really need to work on communicating because its crap 😅. Cassie is honestly such a good friend, and no its not because I share the same name 🤣. Brent got what he deserved, honestly I was hoping Cassie would jump in and get a few punches off too but I digress lol. Jenna is amazing and just needed the right man to bring her back to herself, and Nick did just that. Nick could be an amazing guy, but keeping his head down to make his company what it was meant sacrificing his social life, but Jenna showed him the balance is possible. I loved this story, it was such a crazy ride! Thank you @author.ella.sparkle and @naughtynookpr for the privilage to be part of your ARC team!
I was in the search for a nice cute fluffy romance with some spice and this book was exactly what I needed!!!
Poor Jenna had been through it. Being dumped by her boyfriend, losing her intern job and her “plan” all going down the drain. But her best friend Cassie has come up with an idea of “saying yes” to any opportunity that comes Jenna’s way!
Insert Nick. Grumpy business man who doesn’t want a relationship or a commitment because he’s to busy running his business. That is until one night he orders pizza and Jenna shows up at his door. Now he will do anything to see Jenna again, even if that means ordering pizza everyday!!!
I enjoyed the story between the two and enjoyed their chemistry when they were together. I wasn’t a huge fan of the constant miscommunication between the two characters. I honestly wanted to throw my kindle a few times lol.
I also enjoyed the side characters and hope they also get their own books (Cassie my girl deserves her own book lol)
It's one thing to plan and a totally other thing to see those plans go up in flames.
We meet our FMC navigating a pretty challenging time. A best friend who wants to help her through and shows up in the best way possible, a reminder that it's ok to not have all the answers and instead of closing off and shutting down, we can say Yes! Saying Yes was truly a delight, I loved the banter, the moments when I was blushing right along with Jenna, rooting for her and Nick and ofcourse screaming at them to just tell each other the things that were too hard to say. Nick is a hard worker, a shameless flirt and our MMC who at times, can't seem to get out of his head, but he is so supportive and protective of Jenna, something I love in a good Rom Com.
Cassie and the friends Jenna made along a way, just made this story even more special. It's a joy to see their deep connection and sense of community as a central part of the book.
Thank you to the team at Hawthorn & Aster and author Ella Sparkle for this wonderful ARC!
If you're into contemporary sweet romances then I highly recommend this book!
I can't express how much I adored the characters. Nick was the absolute sweetest guy who never thought he would ever find a woman who he'd want to date. Completely focused on his career he promised that he would remain a bachelor. Bax was right after all (He deserves his own story)
That all changed when Nick met Jenna. The beautiful sweet girl with a troubled past.
Both characters were flawed yet they complemented each other. I related to Jenna with her anxiety and the point where her confidence was lacking. As someone who has worked in Construction I had a connection to Nick and it was nostalgic.
The two characters had undeniable chemistry and a great respect and appreciation for one another.
Ella is a wonderfully talented writer. I adored this book and I urge you to read it if you love sweet romances!
If you need me, I’ll be over here trying to figure out how to live in a world where this book isn't my actual life. Saying Yes is a total shot of serotonin. The prose is that perfect kind of "invisible"it flows so smoothly you forget you’re reading and start feeling like you’re just eavesdropping on your best friend's chaotic love life. And let’s talk about the banter. It’s top-tier. It’s snappy, it’s playful, and it actually made me laugh out loud (my neighbors definitely heard me). The characters are so well-fleshed out; they aren't just cardboard cutouts of rom-com tropes. They have actual stakes and vulnerabilities. The setting is vibrant and cozy—I could practically smell the pizza and the roses. The pacing was a little bit of a "fast-forward" at times because I couldn't stop turning the pages, but the emotional beats landed exactly where they needed to. A solid 4 stars for a book that felt like a warm hug and a glass of wine.
Thank you so much to @cherrypublishing_english for sending me a copy of “Saying Yes” by @author.ella.sparkle !
I absolutely adored this book! Before even starting it was definitely intrigued the thought of “Saying Yes” to literally everything has always been something I’ve wanted to try.
This book was light and sweet and so easy and fast to read! The story follows Jenna who has just been dumped by her boyfriend and who loses her job. She calls upon her best friend for some much needed cheering up and as good best friends do, she came up with an ingenious plan!
Jenna must now say YES to everything!
I loved our heroine and our hero Nick together! Their chemistry was fantastic and needless to say I blushed I tad bit at the cuteness of this story.
If you’re looking for a cute quick read romance you definitely need to pick this up!
Saying Yes is truly a love story at its heart, the kind that focuses on emotion, connection, and the quiet moments that make you fall for the characters. There is no spice, so if that is what you are looking for, this may not be the book for you.
That said, the story does lean heavily on miscommunication, which can be a bit frustrating at times. There are moments where you just want the characters to sit down and actually talk things through. Still, the emotional depth, the growth between them, and the way their relationship unfolds makes it feel real and meaningful.
It is the kind of book that pulls you in gently and leaves you with that warm, full feeling by the end. Definitely worth the read if you enjoy heartfelt romances, even with a little frustration along the way.
4 ⭐️ Read First I want to thank the author Ella Sparkle and Naughty Nook PR for an ARC of this book. I enjoyed it too. I felt sad for Jenna when she lost her Job in the beginning of this book but I was happy when she was able to find another job. Loved Jenna and Cassie’s friendship throughout this book and Cassie made me laugh and smile throughout this book too. I loved how Nick and Jenna fell in love in this book and I also loved how he called her Pizza Girl in this book too. I hated Jenna’s ex boyfriend and how he treated her in this book and I loved how Nick stood up for her. Liked Nick and Bax’s friendship in this book. Loved how she made more friends from her job and how they treated her in this book too. I loved how Cassie made Jenna do a Yes Plan which means things she usually said no to she had to say yes. And I loved how they got to have an happy ending together and I also recommend this book.
This was such a sweet and light story that was so easy and quick to read! It follows Jenna who after loosing not only her boyfriend and job she also loses her very thought out and constructed life goals! When her best friend essentially tells her she needs to forget the plan and start saying yes to everything and go basically throw caution to the wind she realises how much this can help her in the long run! Jenna ends up working at a pizza shop where she meets Nick after delivering a pizza to him, they both have this immediate attraction that you can feel off the pages! They are both so perfect for each other and I love how much this story made me blush
Their story was sweet and I loved how easy it flowed! Definitely recommend this if you’re after something light
This book follows Jenna. Jenna is a planner and a rule follower. Her life falls apart when she is fired from her job and dumped by her long term boyfriend. She is desperate for a change so she is agreeing with her friend Cassie when she is introducing a “say yes” challenge. The challenge is to say yes to every new opportunity. Via this she got a new job as a pizza delivery, a night out dancing and meet cute with the gorgeous Nick, who can't stop thinking about her after their first encounter. I enjoyed reading this book but it did not blow my mind. The problems Jenna faced felt real and the way she reacted to it where natural. I loved that she managed to make steps into the right direction. Nick is hard working, successful and he doesn't do relationships, except for Jenna. That last part was heard a little bit to often in his internal dialogue. Perfect for fans of light, fluffy reads with a dash of emotional growth!
This one was such a fun surprise. It has that easy, addictive vibe where you just keep reading without even realizing how into it you are. I found myself smiling a lot with this one and just enjoying the whole experience.
The connection between the characters felt natural and really pulled me in. There’s something about the way everything unfolds that makes it feel light but still emotional in the right moments. I liked how it balanced the sweet side with that little bit of tension that keeps you hooked.
It left me with that warm, satisfied feeling at the end where you just sit there for a second like… yeah, that was good. Definitely one I’d pick up again when I want something enjoyable and easy to fall into.
I’m not typically into insta-love, but for most of this book this relationship was so wholesome, I loved it! I loved that it showed how sometimes the plan you have in your head isn’t what happens, and that can be for the best. I also absolutely loved the kick-ass, slightly deranged best friend, Cassie. She is the best friend everyone wants and I hope book 2 is about her and Mike!
The only thing that felt a little inauthentic was Nick’s behavior at the end. Without spoiling the ending, it felt a little like a 180 for the sake of the plot. Other than that, it was a fun read!
Thanks to the author and @hawthorn.and.aster.services for an ARC copy!
Saying Yes is a closed door romance told through dual PoVs.
Jenna has been dumped by her college boyfriend and fired from her job. Her 5 year plan is not going as planned. She has anxiety issues. Nick is the owner of Blaine Construction and has commitment issues.
Cassie, Jenna's BFF convinces her to make changes to her life by getting her to agree to say yes to everything that isn't unsafe or illegal.
Jenna and Nick's relationship is really sweet. They fall for each other pretty fast and Nick treats her very well. He is really patient with her when she had panic attacks. I enjoyed watching their relationship develop.
Thank you Ella Sparkle and Hawthorn & Aster for the eARC.
Saying yes by Ella sparkle was everything that I wanted to read now. It had me gushing from the start. From the beginning it had me hooked. Got so invested in the characters now that I want a Cassie for me, like how Jenna had The pacing felt very natural. The first meet, the emotions, the tension and conflicts all came together so effortlessly. Bax and Nick had such a cute friendship. Had me laughing on every single interaction.
Another thing I liked was how the story teaches us to embrace uncertainty and take chances in life. Atleast once in life everyone should try SAYING YES to everything
Saying YES can give you infinite possibilities. Saying NO can keep you safe and in your comfort zone.
What would a world be like without possibilities? Who knows what can happen to change your life, with just saying one word? Stay safe or live your life to the fullest?
Saying YES explores those possibilities and can you imagine all the options and changes this can make? Take a chance, just say yes!
This book was whitty and charming, and a fun read. Not to mention a hunky MMC. ☺️ It explored the “just saying yes” to everything concept. You should really pick it up.
If you are looking for a heart-warming story with the ups and downs of a relationship, this one is for you.
Both Jenna and Nick have past baggage with relationships and success in life but their friends help them face their fears about a possible future together. Jenna’s friend Cassie’s theory of ‘saying yes’ to things she would usually say no to and and Nick’s friend, Bax’s, reminder that no one should work their life away helps bring them together.
The book sets a great reminder that success in life and relationships always begins and ends with communication.
ARC review - I found the romance to lean more toward a YA style, with a light tone and less focus on deeper emotions or complexity. The connection Jenna and Nick develops very quickly, which made it feel a bit predictable and somewhat surface-level at times. Jenna’s “saying yes” journey also felt mostly centered around Nick, and I would have loved a bit more variety and personal growth. I also didn’t fully connect with Nick as a character, as he came across a bit immature emotionally. That said, it’s still a quick, quirky love story that’s easy to read if you’re in the mood for a light read!
This was such a cute and enjoyable romance! I really liked the overall story, and the characters felt genuine and easy to connect with. Their chemistry came through naturally, which made their relationship feel believable and engaging.
I found myself rooting for them as their story unfolded, and I appreciated how their journey developed. It was a fun, heartfelt read that kept me interested from start to finish.
A solid 4-star romance that I’d definitely recommend if you’re looking for something sweet with realistic characters and great chemistry.
This was an easy and enjoyable read. The story was fun, and I really like how it started. I connected with certain parts of this book, especially the message behind it. I think everyone needs a friend like Cassie, someone who will be real with you no matter what and who will always show up, even if it's the middle of the night
It also reminded me that saying yes to things outside your comfort zone can actually help you enjoy life so much more. I do wish the FMC and MMC communicated a bit more, but overall it was still a fun and cute read
