This was a great omegaverse! It’s definitely in my top 5! This is about a rockstar who is secretly an alpha and a pretty strong-backboned omega having to work around being mated unintentionally.

This is the first omegaverse I’ve read where the bond comes first and I found it very entertaining seeing how they navigated it. I love when there’s undeniable chemisty between the two MCs and this just added extra depth to it. I also liked how even though Ash is a rockstar and they do talk about his past rockstar ways with women and partying, it’s not the main focus or even partly the focus in the story. It solely focuses on their relationship and the push/pull they have going on.

There are just two things I wish were different in the story. One being Layla’s r-rated drawings. I think that was a little bit over the line and was a little uncomfortable. The other thing is, I wish we got to see more times of them connecting and not just because of the bond. Especially during the one part where the bond briefly wasn’t an issue and they could have used that opportunity to realize they’re feelings we’re real and not solely their bond.

I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more from this author!

You can't fight fate!!

Another great contemporary Omegaverse from Hannah Haze!! When I read the teaser first chapter for this book at the end of her last one, I almost melted off my bed and onto the floor it was so freakin' hot. I don't usually read a lot of rock star stories but I was dying to read more about this alphahole of an alpha, Ash Canon.

He's a soulful sexy rockstar. The lead singer of his band The Pack, which is made up of alphas in secret. Ash has a lot of demons in his past he struggles with, not to mention the rigours of touring and giving his all on the stage. He's forced to meet Layla, a charity fundraiser winner for a meet and greet after a concert one night, but she is not what he is expecting.

Layla, an independant Omega, works her butt off fundraising to win the prize of a meet and greet with her idol, Ash Canon. But you know what they say about meeting your idols, it doesn't go quite as planned. Layla feels a pull to Ash and can smell that he is an alpha. Even with blockers Ash can also smell that Layla is an omega and her scent calls to him like none other. Their first meeting was so steamy it sends Layla into heat and just about me too lol.

Usually stories have a couple with slogging through lots of angst and obstacles until they finally give in to the inevitable. This one was slightly backwards where Ash and Layla collide in fiery explosion of hormones and lust from the beginning but then everything goes to hell from there. Then the world seems to throw everything at them to rip them apart and Ash and Layla have to decide if it's all worth it.

This was a great story. I loved Layla, and that even as an omega she still fought for her independence and what she wanted for her life. My heart bled for Ash, what he sacrificed for his art. All the ugly things that come with fame and how hard Ash was battered by them. I loved them together. How they really needed each other so much but were scared to admit it and go all in, until it was almost too late.
I can't wait for West's story next, I'm sure it's gonna be as steamy and crazy as this one was.

Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This was a gentler take on the omegaverse world, set in modern times with a rock star as alpha. No nesting in this one. Does have knotting/claiming and a constant push and pull between the hero and heroine. He's an alphawhore who has helped many omegas through their heat cycle.
The unbalance between them is extreme. He is her first, she is his one of many. Many, many. What does she expect? He's a rock star.
He's 10 years older than her, living the rock star life and hiding the fact that he's an alpha. She's been obsessed with him for years. Drawing and sharing erotic art she's created of him with other fans.

Overall, I was disappointed because it felt like their relationship was based the alpha/omega dynamic rather than true affection. This is a forced proximity trope as their A decent story but I wanted more depth and emotion from the characters.

**4.2/5 stars**

It's been a few months since I've read this book, but since I'm now reading the second standalone of the series The Alpha Rock Stars and plan to write a review for it, I decided I would review the first volume from what I can remember. I might add more stuff, as I recall things.

The thing that I love about Alpha-Omega romances is that the main characters have a strong connection and really hot sex. This one didn't miss the mark. It was also the first time I'd read an omega romance with a rockstar setting. I wouldn't say it was insta-love but close to it. It was more instinctual.

Layla was a young adult, and super sweet. She was an artist, would draw some NSFW and post them on her social (anonymously). I remember her wanting to stay independent, not wanting to mate or let herself be controlled by an alpha. I also liked that she didn't easily give in.

As for Ash, I liked how obsessed he became with Layla after meeting her. The guy literally flew back in the middle of a tour to get to Layla because he learned she was in heat after he taunted her, and didn't want any other male to get to her. His alpha instincts kick in and there is nothing anyone can do to stop him from reaching his goal. I remember him being really gentle with her, caring for her at first, because of her first time.

“He’d done exactly what they’d warned him not to and now he’s stuck with one Omega, who may be cute as fuck, but is also royally pissed off.”

The sex scenes were so hot. It was straight up; lust, passion, primal. The love comes later, when they are stuck together after having mated each other by mistake lol. Yes, it wasn't supposed to happen, Ash was suppose to keep his teeth from her neck, but the guy was so in bliss and she was so in bliss too, that his control snapped. Yup, they rutted and rutted and made a hot mess.

“He is going to teach her everything he knows, make her feel so good, she’ll never be able to leave him. He halts. Shakes his head to dislodge the thought. He didn’t mean that. This is just a bit of fun.” Right 😏

Anyway, this is one of the books I know I will come back to eventually. If you like Omegaverse, definitely pick this one up, I'm sure you will enjoy as much as I did. If you aren't familiar with this genre, make sure that you read The brief guide to Hannah Haze's Omegaverse , which is at the end of the book on Kindle. It will help you understand the intricacies and the terms that may be foreign to you, to make your experience more enjoyable.

The Rockstar's Omega is book 1 in The Alpha Rock Stars series. Since I'm a big fan of Alpha/Omega relationships I was really looking forward to this one. It was definitely light and as other reviewers have already said I wish there was some nesting to go with the knotting and heat. So basically, the story is about a rock star Ash who is actually also an Alpha which has been kept secret, meeting an Omega who is one of his biggest fans. I really enjoyed this one but towards the end I did get a little tired of Layla's childish behavior. Overall, it's an enjoyable book with some issues but I'm excited to start book 2.

The Rockstar's Omega is a quality book and I would recommend it to Omegaverse fans. However, there were a few things that didn't meet my preferences. Of course I knew it ends with an HEA and that it's on the sweeter side of Omegaverse, but the premise and the writing had me stressed out. All the emphasis on severing the bond, a lack of emotional depth, and the not very nice or welcoming assistant grated on me. Also, putting the gland on the back of the neck for all to see was kinda gross. All I kept thinking about was a big, ugly growth that should be checked by a doctor.

I would read other books by Haze to see if she has a different flavor that works better for me.

This book was entertaining, but the h was a little irrational and bratty and so she got on my nerves. I like the author’s take on sweet omegaverse. The premise of the book hooked me. I didn’t feel a lot of chemistry between the MC’s, though. I would’ve liked more angst and conflict leading up to the HEA.

I felt so much emotion during this book, but it was the kind of "stone in chest" kind, mostly because I was angry and terrified for them a lot, haha.

I really liked the book, though I would have loved to see nesting as that was completely absent.

It was a bit different with it pretty much just being our world, but with the Dynamics. I've read that sort before, Nora Ash has a few great series with this, but Nora makes up the names of the cities etc, so it's not an exact replica.

I'm not sure I like the exact replica of our own world and recognizing actual tv series and people - I feel kind of off when that is done. But it wasn't so negative as to not make me like the book, it is just a personal dislike I have.

I really liked the book, as I said, and I love the whole Rockstar thing, I thought that was great! I loved Ash and I did really like Layla - but I just felt like...I feel like their story isn't concluded. I feel like I read the first book of...several about them, but maybe that's deliberate. :)

I didn't feel closure in the book, and I spent such a long time during the book with a lump in my throat, I didn't feel like that got resolved enough for me by the end of the book, haha.

I love Eric Clapton’s "Layla": it’s anguished longing and acceptance in four-minute song form. So how wonderful is it that Hannah Haze names the heroine of The Rockstar’s Omega Layla? I instantly thought of this song when I started reading this book, and it perfectly matches the story of Layla and Ash, an omega and alpha who unexpectedly connect when his band is touring.

Haze uses a simple but brilliant gimmick here: combine the popular rockstar romance subgenre with the new, hot omegaverse romance subgenre. And she does a fantastic job with this concept. Haze takes the classic trope of a rockstar romance—the one-night stand—and converts it into an inescapable longing between Ash and Layla that drives them to connect no matter what. But when they do come together, they have to face the consequences, both for themselves and for Ash’s band.

I loved both Ash and Layla. She soft on the outside and strong inside; he’s strong on the outside with a hidden soft heart: they balance one another perfectly. Add to this the other members of Ash’s band (all alphas, of course), and a great group of supporting characters (I particularly liked Kim, the band’s harried assistant/wrangler), and you’ve got a great read.

I just couldn’t put The Rockstar’s Omega down once I started it. The characters are engaging, and their journey is so intriguing. Add to it commentaries on art and on the music lifestyle, and you’ve got a great read. This is an excellent start to Haze’s new series, and I can’t wait to read more in it!

I wanted to love this more, but something about it just felt more like we were being forced through the motions than being swept up in a love story.

Plus, Ash is just kind of a douche the whole time and does nothing to earn Layla's respect.

This was a contemporary omegaverse (sweetverse) romance story featuring a relationship between the fmc whose an omega and the mmc whose an alpha.

I really liked the premise of this book and was completely hooked with the forced proximity and all that.

This book featured an age gap (10yrs) which is 🤢to me.
However it didn’t seem to be all that important to the story other than the main characters being at different stages in their lives. I just wish there wasn’t an age gap or that it was smaller

I also wish there was a bit more angst leading up to the HEA. And maybe some more time spent on the genuine connection between the characters.

However I still really loved this book and probably will be reading the others in this series!

Apologies!

🌶️ 3.5

🎸 Musician X fangirl
🎸 Fastburn romance
🎸 Alpha X omega
🎸 Omegaverse (knotting)
🎸 Forced proximity

❌ Third person
❌ Not why choose romance, a missed opportunity
❌ Miscommunication trope

I enjoyed the spice, but the romance and the overall story could've been more robust. I find the miscommunication trope to be... Lazy. It is a lazy plot device, when the plot ain't plotting.

Just wasn't for me really, but that doesn't mean I won't read more by this author, just this one didn't hit it.

Ash and Layla have allot if differences the biggest one hes a huge Rockstar and a jerk but hes that way for a reason when your a Rockstar someone always wants something from you and his other secret hes and Alpha in hiding. Layla a huge fan younger and Omega who has seen how controlling and Alpha and Omega relashinship can be. Her father made her life awful with his controlling and her mothers submissive behavior had her running from what she is her whole life she never wants that life. But when Layla meets Ash there chemistry is immediate and no amount of blockers can keep them from wanting each other Ash sends Layla into heat and then the real trouble starts when he marks her now there hiding things to protect his secret but what about Layla she's not used to all the glitz and drama of a Rockstar's life. He's got a stalker and she just wants her old life back but when the time comes that she could have that old life back will she take it or finally realize that she may just have found her soulmate.

This book flowed well there wasn't too much heavy rocker stuff the ex is a bit much I wasn't a fan of Ash's PR girl and I'm not sure why Alphas and Omegas are so rare in this world and is everyone in this world just Omega, Beta and Alpha or are there humans too that's my mane problem that and if Omegas and Alphas have to hide themselves because of this then why would you have so many of Ash's fan base be well very trashy Omega's. So that confused me wouldn't they be more protected other then that the story was good it made for a fast read and I liked Ash's band mates and look forward to reading there stories.

I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! This is book is part of The Alpha Rock Stars series why just read one when you can start at the beginning and keep reading through the series it won’t be a waste of time. Layla’s is Rock stars biggest fan, knows everything about Ash Canon, and she just won backstage pass to actually meet him in person, talk to him in person and just be in his presence in person 😊. Ash is a sexy as all get our Rock Star with fans from all over he is fully prepared to meet one of his fans until she steps into the room. Layla is an omega on suppressants but one sniff, she knows Ash isn’t who he says he is but he is an Alpha pretending and his scent just sent her into heat (if you have ever read omegaverse books then you will understand). Her heat is a dream /nightmare all rolled into one, throw in other Alpha’s, the press and you have keep you on the edge of your seat the chemistry between them is intense and that magnetic pull can’t be ignored so where does it leave them once her heat subsides, are they fated mates, can they make it work especially

This is the first omegaverse I’ve ever read like this one. I can’t claim to be an expert or anything but it was unique and surprising to me.

There’s definitely nothing bleak about this omegaverse world. We’ve got a whole pack of alpha rockstars who pretend to be betas. I’m a little bit lost on the reasons for that, honestly. Our omega like many takes blockers but in this world that seems to be encouraged and there isn’t a huge focus on how precious omegas are.

There’s apparently a mating gland on the back of their necks that omits a unique scent. There’s a bit of fated mates at play here because both H and h are loaded with blockers but can still scent each other.

Story 4/5, Heat 3/5, Angst 5/5, Sweetness 5/5, I really like the heroine but felt frustrated by Ash’s disregard for her happiness. He was very loving and protective but it was all about him and she felt stifled and trapped. The situation was difficult but he and his obnoxious PR chick made it worse. No condoms, virgin h, tiny bit of very mild OW drama (not the PR chick but a crazy scorned ex - PR chick is all business I just didn’t like her) no cheating, no cliffhanger and an HEA.

If you like omega sweet verse reads and angst you’ll like this. I’d totally be up to read the rest of The Pack find their own omegas.

I love a good Omegaverse book and I just found a new favorite author of this genre Hannah Haze!
From beginning to end I absolutely fell in love with Ash and Layla. He’s an older rockstar and she’s a 20 yr old fan girl. When Layla raises the most money in a charity contest she gets to meet and greet Ash. She’s excited.
After his concert Ash kinda acts like an alphahole and has to be persuaded by his manager to go through with the meet and greet. As soon as Layla enters his dressing room she knows he’s an Alpha and he knows she’s an omega. They are extremely aware of each other even if they are taking blockers to cover what they are.
I loved how this couple came about. They had all the twists and turns that come with being a celebrity with a secret.
The author ended this with the lead into the 2nd book of this series and I can’t wait for it!

Ash and Layla's Story . . .

Fast-paced story doesn’t slow down! Layla, an Omega, wins a ticket to the concert featuring Ash Canon, her rock star hero. She also gets to go backstage to meet him, but hears him saying he is not up for this. She tries to leave but is taken inside, only to find out he is not a Beta but an Alpha! Both of them, despite their strong suppressants, can scent each other. His kissing her triggers her heat, but her time is up and she is led away.

Ash feels bad about how she was treated and he finds out where she is and arrives at her door. They get carried away and he ends up biting her, which makes them mates. But his world is nothing like hers, throwing her into his wild life of concerts and fans. She wants to go back to her old comfortable life. He has his issues as well. Should they try to reverse the bond?

I actually really loved this omegaverse book. I loved that is was a contemporary rockstar romance and not just your typical omegaverse type of book. I’ve always been a sucker for rockstar romances so this was really nice. And the age gap was a nice touch (one of my all time favorite tropes). I loved Ash and Layla and their chemistry was amazing imo. I loved that even though it was a rockstar romance, that’s not all it was. There was an actual storyline other than just him being a rockstar and her being a fan. The angst in this was thriving. Not too much but not too little. I thought it was perfect. The only thing that threw me for a loop was the artwork she drew. I mean I love that the author was incorporating the fact that the fmc drew fan art just it threw me off. But I read this in one sitting and loved it. Definitely recommend.

I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Layla works for a fundraising organization and for raising the most funds over a specific period, wins a ticket to the concert of her biggest rock star idol as well as an after concert meet. But while waiting for him backstage she hears him comment that he isn't in the mood as well as a few other not so complimentary comments. She's about to flee when the door opens and she is ushered inside only to discover her rock idol is an Alpha. Even though she's take suppresents, he can smell her and starts to make out with her only to leave when his PA tells him the allocated 10 minutes are up. He leaves and Layla goes home only to find that he has pushed her into heat. Flying to his next engagement in Paris and arriving at is hotel he realizes he acted like a jerk and after finding out where she is, he arrives at her door. One thing leads to another including a change of venue to somewhere nicer than her dingy room and midway thorough an earth shattering orgasm he bites her, therefore sealing her fate as his bonded mate.
So begins an mind blowing journey in emotion, rock concerts, privacy and invasion of as well as two people who are trying so hard to fight what should be something beautiful. Rock star Ash feels he's too old for Layla, Layla wants her old life back and the two of them get to the point where they are faced with a mind blowing, earth shattering, life changing decision - to reverse the bond or not.
This story is one hell of a ride and I recommend it.

The writing and editing of the ARC version of the manuscript was clean, with no typos that I found and well constructed sentences. The world building of a rock star’s life and profession was not especially vivid or well described. The characterization was good, with both the hero and heroine being sympathetic individuals with some nuance. The development of the romantic relationship was sweet and hot. It was a fast burn. The heat level of this novel was three chili peppers. The plot was consistent, and the pacing was quick. There was a medium amount of somewhat tiresome angst and medium stakes, which I enjoyed. This novel used an omegaverse variation of the Vegas Wedding trope and the Fish out of Water trope. The world building was three stars. The plot and pacing were both four stars. The characterization and development of the romantic relationship were also four stars. I therefore rounded up and gave this novel a combined rating of four stars. This novel ended on a Happy Ever After ending instead of a cliffhanger ending, so that was a big plus. I recommend this novel to readers who enjoy contemporary fish out of water romances with very alpha heroes. I look forward to reading the next book in this series when it releases. I will probably buy myself a keeper copy of this novel.

I loved this! Another great omegaverse story from HH that does not disappoint. This had everything I need: rockstars, a/b/o, fated mates, little bit of angst, and a happily ever after.

I really liked the fmc, Layla, she’s worked hard for everything she has & to get where she is in life, and it’s hers so it has more meaning than something easily gained or purchased. And I really connected with the mmc, Ash and the way he talks about his art and that’s why he does it, not just for the fame but because he’s creating something and putting a piece of his soul into it/out there for the world to see. I loved that, while Layla is kind of a “super-fan” she’s not a groupie, or into Ash just because he’s a famous rockstar. It’s because it’s him, and his art, and once they’re together she’s not staying because of his fame and what it can get her. It felt just so much like my 20 year old self’s dream come true but also so realistic because of the reality of what living that kind of life would bring (the paparazzi, crazy fans, rude people, drugs). Plus you’ve got Alpha/Omega dynamics, and steamy steamy steamy scenes, it just made this such a great story!

Definitely recommend, and can’t wait to dive into the next book in the series.

Layla scored a backstage pass to meet her favorite musician, Ash Canon. Ash is sick of meet and greets and the interviews so he’s really not up for meeting Layla. When he has no choice but to follow through with his obligation they are both surprised to find out each other’s secret. It turns out that Layla is an Omega, but the biggest kicker is that Ash is an Alpha hiding in plain sight on such a large platform. He has no clue how she is able to scent him since he used powerful blockers to mask himself. When he learns that his scent has sent her into heat, he gets back to her as quickly as he can. Them being together leads to what they both find to be a huge mistake and they want a solution fast. Being forced together puts them in some interesting predicaments and they’re both just trying to avoid a headache.

The Rockstar’s Omega is on fire! The steam is nonstop. I did find myself feeling sympathetic to Layla. Because of their situation, she’s been thrown into a world where she has no voice. Overall it’s an easy read and really enjoyable.

Rockstar Alpha meets his Omega

Layla worked for a charity for children and she won a competition and a backstage pass to meet the group leader Ash Canon from the band The Pack.
When she enters his room there is a scent that she can smell and he also scents her even though they are both taking blockers but some how they have triggered Layla’s heat when he leaves her wanting more.
The story then sees Ash and Layla get together with a bond so strong that keeps them together.

The story and the characters are well written and the story flows really well.I also love how they both talk about there lives and family. Also I like how his band mates ,Kim and mick look out and support both Ash and Layla. There is a lot of steamy scenes and the chemistry between them is off the charts and how protective Ash is of Layla.

I recommend reading this book and I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in the series to find out what happens to the rest of the band.

I thoroughly loved reading this book it will not b the last.

Steam was super present but also gross with the rapey dub-con of the omegaverse heat situation. I've not read much omegaverse for this reason but I'm keeping my eye out for one that steers clear of this. The MMC is cruel to the FMC while he forces her (through her heat) to beg him for stuff. It was beyond demeaning and and gross, to me.

I'm assuming the romance aspect heats up as the story goes on but the part I got through felt abusive and immature with little to no honestly or safety between MCs.

The worst offense by far was the weird ass 2nd person POV. I hated it at first then tried to embrace the artistic flair but went back to feeling it was self-indulgent from the author and took a lot away from being able to connect with the characters... while also having an uncomfortable cadence. I was not there for it and it made the typos and errors stand out that much more.

I'd be open to trying something else by the author if it was very different and I can 100% see other folks who are into those aspects of omegavese appreciating the book.
