I loved part two of Briar Rose & Erie’s story. This ending is absolutely perfect for them. These two definitely had a journey & I loved every minute of it.
This book is so hot! I think you can guess some of the shenanigans that happen in the book based on the title, but I will let you experience this on you own. It is also a bit twisted, so please be mindful of the trigger warnings.
Over all I loved it & I cannot wait time Herc’s story!

Best. Possible. Ending.
This book provided the happy ending that so desperately needed from Stupid Cupid. The dramatic twists and turns come together to a beautiful happy ending. I'm normally one who can see a plot twist coming and yet this one... Well you'll have to read it to believe it. If I could I'd give it 6 stars.

O.M.G... Talk about a fast-paced, action packed adventure! After reading Ms. Valentine's debut, Stupid Cupid, I couldn't wait for the sequel. It was totally worth the wait. If you like hot as hell gods, monsters, mythology, and steamy romance, you won't be disappointed.

This is book two of the Gods and Monsters series and they are meant to be read in order.
In book one, Stupid Cupid, Eros (Cupid) was sent to Earth as punishment for his mischievous misuse of his arrows. The gods decided to use his own arrows against him, but there was a catch...they would pick the target.
The gods are livid when their plans backfire. Eros' punishment was to find unrequited love, but his love is returned and now he has to protect her from their wrath.
When Briar Rose awakens from her nightmare she realizes it was real. The theme park had been attacked and destroyed. People were dead. In her bid to escape Eros when he tells her that he is ultimately responsible for these attacks, he rescues her once again from a major wreck on the Pacific Highway.
And flies her away. Yes, he can fly. And now he had brought her to Pleasure Island so he can keep her safe. But, she has news for him...someway somehow she's getting off this island.
I loved this book! As exciting as book one was, book two way exceeded my expectations. It is very well written. The characters are fully developed and very relatable regardless of being a human, god, or demon. The descriptions truly put you on the island in the middle of this hedonist's paradise.
Pleasure Island is a true devil's paradise. Truly. This book takes us into Lucifer's playground and boy hold on to those britches because anything and everything is allowed.
The descriptions of this underworld paradise are so well done that you can see the organic bubbles, with orgies going on within, careening from wall to wall.
This book is full of action, twists, hedonistic pleasure, and explicit sex scenes. The chemistry between Briar Rose and Eros is off the charts!
I highly recommend this series! You won't be disappointed!

Highly entertaining read
Stupid Cupid- Pleasure Island is book 2 in the Gods and Monsters series by Veronica Valentine.
What a ride! Book 1 ended on a cliffy- Book 2 takes off soon after, leading the reader on a roller coaster ride that I really enjoyed.
The world building in this story is well done, and took my imagination to the vibrant but sinister Pleasure Island, Olympus and later, an earth forever changed for humans.
I really enjoyed the author’s take on using characters based in mythology/religion, they created an enjoyable back story with a physical presence we recognise. These characters love to create lots of conflict which made the story dynamic. Speaking of dynamic I loved the push and pull between Eros and Briar Rose- the chemistry and romance is off the scale ❤️

After the attack on the highway that was targeted at the girl he loves, Eros feels like he has no choice but to take Briar Rose and flee to Pleasure Island, the home of his birth father. But now that Briar Rose knows who Eros really is, she doesn’t want anything to do with him. In fact, she would rather try to make it on her own than be with Eros. Now Eros must win Briar Rose’s trust back before something - or someone - on the island harms her.
This book does have a few triggers, but I thought it was extremely well written. Valentine’s dark and steamy writing style will entice all dark romance lovers. Briar Rose went through a lot, but she still managed to stay her snarky self. Eros had a lot to learn, but I believe he really grew. Herc was hilarious as usual. I can’t wait for book three!

This was a terrific conclusion to the duet!
It was a quick read that was fast-paced with lots of action and a whole lot of steamy scenes!
This second book picks up where the first book had left off, with Briar Rose waking up on Pleasure Island after escaping the attack at Disneyland. The Olympians are still out to get Eros and will stop at nothing to ensure he pays for his crimes against them. Eros brings Briar Rose to Pleasure Island, hoping to seek refuge from his long-lost father, Lucifer. But can you really trust a demon to help when it comes to the love of your life and when the consequences could be fatal?
This was an exciting read and I had no idea how the story would unfold until it was all wrapped up at the very end! And as an added bonus, I was very excited to learn that Herc will be getting his very own story next! :)

Such a satisfying and hot follow-up to the first book! Picking up where Stupid Cupid left off, Briar Rose awakens to find herself on Pleasure Island, a place run by Eros’ father, Lucifer. I love the description of this Island, the decadence, & indulgence. If you ever sat in Sunday school and wondered what your teacher was talking about when the topic of sin came up, this book is is exactly that in all its hedonistic glory! But as Briar Rose struggles to sort out truth from lies and come to terms with the trauma she endured, as well as figure out her own heart, Eros is also operating on a steep learning curve. Learning what loving another truly means. All this with a pantheon of angry gods still baying for blood. A fun, page turning read with characters you fall in love with!

Sweet God can I give it 10 stars?
"Sweet Lord! What have I just read! OMG Pleasure Island was absolutely amazing! The first time I started I wasn't fully enjoying the story for being focus on a personal project so I quit until this second time. I can only praise Eros and Rose's story. This second part blow up my expectations and deserves all the stars and many more. Though I must confess that at 50% Rose was annoying and had me rolling up up eyes but Ero was all the perfection! Hot, sweet and so romantic. How can someone not love him? My heart broke almost at the end (not giving details) I finished it in a row and couldn't love it more. Plus the heat almost burned my kindle so more points for this! Highly recommended!!"

I loved the world created on Pleasure Island. The details and the imagery were extraordinary. I loved the conclusion to Eros and Briars love story, was so perfect for them. They certainly had their ups and downs. There’s still more story to be told, with the impending war. I can’t wait to read Hercules story! Veronica Valentine certainly has a way with words, the story sucks you in and you can’t help but devour it. Can’t wait for more of the Gods and Monsters series and more from the author herself.

Holy hotness!! Veronica has managed to write yet another book with off the chart steam! I’m surprised my kindle isn’t in a pile of melted plastic and metal. This book picks up where book one left off with Eros attempting to shield Briar Rose from the wrath of the gods that he incurred. Briar continues to fight her feelings for Eros tooth and nail. In trying to drown out the little voice in her heart by indulging in all that Pleasure Island has to offer, she realizes there is no denying her feelings for Eros. Their happily ever after is definitely a hard fought one. The twists and turns in this book had me needing to know what happens next!

Five stars are not nearly enough for this amazing book! There's a lot I can't say in my review so I don't give anything away! I will just say that I LOVED the ending and could not have asked for a better one! You are amazing and I absolutely cannot wait to read your next release!!! Eros is definitely my new book boyfriend!!!

What an awesome way to end Brair Rose and Ero’s story. Much darker than the first, this part gets into the more serious issues (I mean they are in hell after all) and the background story that tied it all together. The ending made this book even better! Great way to tie up the story. Looking forward to reading Herc’s story!
