What do you get when you mix a woman who can’t have a baby with a billionaire playboy who has never wanted one? Twins, apparently.
Meadow What’s the most embarrassing thing you’ve ever said to a man? For me, it was when I went up to a tall, dark, and delicious stranger and whispered “Busy, busy, buzzing bees” into his ear.
See, I thought he was a guy I’d hired to knock me up. A guy known for getting infertile women pregnant. The bee thing was his codeword.
Unless—oops—he’s not actually the knock-you-up guy. He’s a billionaire playboy named Finley St. James, and he had “no bloody clue what I was talking about” when I dropped the codeword. He said he was too busy looking down my shirt to hear exactly what I was saying about busy bees.
The best part? Finley had a vasectomy years ago.
But against all odds, he did knock me up. And now Mr. Wrong is ready to settle down.
Finley Easy there. Nobody said anything about settling down. I just like it when you call me Daddy.

Dnf 43% The title should have stopped me, but sometimes these kinds of books can really surprise me. It didn’t. It’s so unbelievably unrealistic that it’s stupid. It’s seriously extremely idiotic.
Meadow wants a baby now. And her friend got a baby by a donor, who does it his own way (natural). And how cute wouldn’t it be for their babies to be siblings?! So Meadow shows up at this party with a code to know it’s the donor. And totally meets a billionaire, Finley. He, a manwhore and relationship-fob just thinks Meadow has some serious kink goes right a long on the code words shit. ”Um,” I say, “so the countryside. Is there a lot of beekeeping there?” “Beekeeping?” I nod. “You know? Busy, busy buzzing bees?” He cocks his head at me and grins. That is a knowing grin, right? He’s accepting the codeword. “Busy, busy buzzing bees?” he says, stroking his chin. “Well, I suppose there are.”
Yes. It’s that stupid.
But it gets worse.
”I want you to cum inside me.” “He grins ear to ear. “Oh yeah? That’s good, because I don’t have any condoms. Can’t stand the things.”
That’s cute. You just met 5 minutes ago.
Then there’s the scene where he shows up at Meadows job. AND THE GROWN UP WOMAN DOSENT TALK. At all. It’s like reading about a 6 yr old, and he’s all smirky. Wtf. He has this monologue style to her and her friend;
”I squeeze Meadow tighter against me. “Look, I’ll be level with the two of you. I came here to get Meadow. I thought maybe if I saw her again I’d realize I’d been the one who’d gone a bit mental. That I’d realize I’d turned her into some kind of mythical unicorn that was better than I remembered. I thought maybe I’d be able to get her out of my head and go on with my life.” I let out a disappointed sigh. “Turns out that’s not going to happen. The moment I saw and smelled her again, I knew that I had to have her. And by the way she’s flipping the fuck out right now, she’s got some very strong and complicated emotions for me too. So I’m going to ask her out. On a proper date. Dinner, candles, talking. I know very little about her outside of—well—outside of all the things we did together, things you can’t figure out from talking, but now I want to do the talking part too. And that’s rare for me, it really is. I don’t usually like talking all that much, I’m better at the other thing—”
Smelled? Seriously 😒 Cringe
He is (of course) a reluctant billionaire, who has a bad brother that their own parents wants to prevent from inherit. Finley doesn’t want to stand in his brothers way 😢 Didn’t really get why. Didn’t care either.
”As long as I’m still childless by the time I reach 40, then I forfeit my inheritance and Logan gets his shot.”
But now he’s gonna be a daddy with his suddenly dream lady who he really doesn’t know, but he’s gonna let’s his dick decide so... Then I gave up.
Love how Mr. Wrong met Ms. Right at the end! This is about Meadow and Finley and his family. Meadow is about to do something that she has never done and that has a one-night stand in order to get pregnant. All she has to go by is that he is tall dark and delicious, well when she gets off the elevator she is faced with a lot of tall, dark, and delicious but when one man comes up to her he goes along with her code word and she just thinks that he is the one. Finley doesn’t do relationships, but they get hot and heavy and I mean HOT and HEAVY, he realizes that he wants more but then is freaked out when she goes on about paying him and maybe giving him her email in case it doesn’t work.
Well, surprise, surprise, he had a vasectomy, so she runs because she is embarrassed that she picked the wrong one. The story gets good after that – you can’t stop reading it until you are done. It was a great story especially as his family is all in it but the catch is that she helps him repair the relationship he has with his brother.

Read it because I found the plot, whilst unrealistic, interesting. Did not particularly enjoy the book, but toughed it out and finished. Borrowed the book using Kindle Unlimited and found that it needed better editing. Neither character grabbed me. Actually, I didn't really enjoy any of the main and secondary characters in this novel. Heroine came off as whiny and passive-aggressive when she should have just been upfront to the guy. Hero's instantaneous turnaround on his stance regarding fatherhood wasn't justified for me. The hero went as far as doing a vasectomy, that says to me he's very hardcore against parenthood; so a gradual change in his feelings towards parenthood would have been more in-line.
Although it was a nice premise, the romance felt a bit too rushed. They barely knew each other and already had a full-on "loving future together" type of vision. Yes, they were expecting a child together, but I feel like that's a weak reason for them to act that way after a couple of dates.
This story was super fast paced. It definitely felt like a novella. Lots of happenings and feeling done in super speed. I would have loved a longer, fleshed out novel with these characters and this story. I liked the uniqueness of it.
Possible spoilers. I read a few 1-2 star reviews and put this book off for a while based on that. To be honest I should have listened. The plot of this book has good potential but the female MC was so unlikable and the more time she spent with her BFF the worse she got. She was awkward and weird from the very first page and not in a cute way. Who goes to a party to have sex with a stranger to get knocked up without even meeting with him first or speaking to him. There was no paperwork or even testing to make sure everyone was healthy and clean. That alone should have been a huge red flag but I decided to keep going. Then her talk before sex about him getting her pregnant with triplets was just weird in any sense but the fact that he just went with it to get laid knowing he had had a vasectomy was even more strange. Especially with his family and money issues that would have been something he would have probably needed to think about before just having unprotected sex. The way he said he hates condoms but again neither of them even discuss making sure the other is clean and STD free. He made it clear several times throughout the book he didn’t usually sleep with the same woman more than one or two nights and the fact that he doesn’t use condoms is just ugh. After pushing through that mess it goes on to the h with her BFF at work just 2 weeks later and supposedly she’s already emotional and crying. (Insert eye roll) The BFF is so pushy and acts like she knows everything that’s best for the h and the h just let’s her tell her what to do over and over again. I actually liked the H and found him sweet for the most part but he accepted the h acting like a child so many times that it was a turn off. Fast forward to them suddenly being in love and the BFF is pushing the h to give the H a deadline to propose. The man who never wanted kids so much so he had a vasectomy and didn’t do relationships she wanted to pressure into marriage immediately just because he loved her and wanted to raise the baby together. This is beyond immature and to be honest in real life this would be a huge issue for anyone involved. I know this is a book and therefore fiction but this was so manipulative and I found myself wishing that he wouldn’t propose at all but instead he went out of his way to make sure she got the best ring. Talk about a spoiled brat. I also felt like there was so much left out of this book, such as any mention of her family until the very end of the book. It skipped right over the wedding which I found a little strange given the big deal that was made about them getting married before the baby was born. Overall I would suggest skipping this book.
A last ditch effort to get pregnant + a mistaken identity = one hot night of passion and a baby on the way.

--------------
Concluding Thoughts: Nothing overly dramatic in this baby/romance story. Middle of the road read. Didn't hate it, but didn't adore it either.
This was something else. This gave off insta love kind of vibes. It was definitely a short read and got to the point. It did feel kind of rushed but at least it covered all its bases and finished the story. I didn't like that it was short. There really wasn't an issue of why they couldn't be together. This was just one of those books were it was just insanely happy the entire time.

'Knocked Up by Mr. Wrong' by Melinda Minx is about Meadow and Finley, when Meadow is having issues when trying to get pregnant she is directed to a certain person that will for sure do the trick. However, she is given very vague descriptions, and when Finley matches those descriptions, she does now question whether he is the right person that she was supposed to meet, especially when she tells him the code phrase. Turns out she then realises that Finley isn't who she was supposed to meet!
I loved reading the story! It was the perfect story that got out before Mother's Day! I loved the story because it also uncovered a struggle that many women face while it was humorous and entertaining. So I would like to dedicate this review to all those women out there who wish to become pregnant and have some troubles! Sending Love! Thank you Melinda Minx for such an amazing story!

Meadow wanted a baby really badly, but she was fighting problems of infertility. Her friend hooked up with this guy that had great luck getting women like her pregnant naturally. Meadow was supposed to meet him at a party with a code statement for identification. Somewhere during the communication between Meadow and Finley, the man she thought she was meeting. Meadow slept with the wrong guy. She really did not know what she was going to do now. She could not stop thinking about him, and he was a billionaire too. Finley never had problems before forgetting about a woman, why was this one any different? He would have to see her again to see if he could get her out of his system. Pull up a chair to watch the St James hot family mess get settled by Meadow. An exciting, fun story to read.

4 sweet stars to this perfect low angst romance. Surprise and secret baby books are one of my favorite tropes. I mostly read dark romance but I need lighter reads mixed in for levity. This is one of the tropes I’m always drawn to when searching for a more light hearted read. They can be super angsty though which isn’t really my thing so I’m always looking for one just like this.
Finley and Meadow were absolutely perfect together. I love that he didn’t know he needed someone like Meadow until they met. I love that he didn’t know he wanted a family until Meadow. Meadow had trouble conceiving with insemination, Finley had a vasectomy. Their little miracle was just meant to be.

Meadow is desperate to have a baby but has been unsuccessful so far, and when her best friend tells her about a guy that could make this possible. Meadow is all for it. Going to meet this man Meadow has only vague details to go on and that is he is dark and handsome. When facing Finley, she mistakenly thinks that he is the one, and they end up spending a passionate night together, only to find out that he had a vasectomy years previously. What happens when Meadow discovers that she is pregnant? This is a well written story which is entertaining, witty, and with passion which all leads to an all-consuming and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend.
3.5⭐ Meadow wants to have a child now that she is financially stable and her biological clock is ticking. After trying everything else she resorts to hiring a guy to get her pregnant the old fashioned way. Finley is living his life... Working hard at work, having all the fun and women. Only issue he has is the feud with his brother. Meadow assumes Finley to be the hired guy when he goes along with her code assuming it to be some kind of role play which ends up getting her pregnant. When Finley finds out about the baby he accepts immediately as it was kinda insta love for him with Meadow. It's good to read them build a family and remove the difference of the past. It's a good but one time read. The bonus epilogue was fun to read with the kids😁.
Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. This story was about Meadow and Finley. Finley is billionaire playboy never wants to have children. Meadow nearly hitting fourty is desperate to have a child, her friend told her if she goes to this party there is a guy there Whisper a code in his ear and he would give her a baby. Meadow went up to a tall gorgeous man whispered the code he takes her away they ended up having the best sex of her life, only to find out he was the wrong guy. What happens now?

Finley and Meadow meet at a party where she is suppose to hook up with a guy who charges women to get them pregnant. Meadow has been trying to have a baby and not succeeding. She was told the guy was tall dark and handsome and would answer to the code busy busy bee. Meadow tells Finley the code and although he doesn't know what she is talking about he really he drawn to her. Long story short she becomes pregnant. Finley had a vasectomy so he can't believe it but he does know that Meadow would not lie to him about it.
This is the second ‘romance’ I have read lately, that isn’t just awful. I’m so pleased to say that. It felt as if I just gave 1- or 2-stars to everything anymore. But, here’s proof, there is hope. I only give 5-stars for books I would read again and again. This doesn’t quite reach that level, it’s a little too long, a little needlessly dragged out, for that. But if you have an afternoon free, and would like a nice honest-to-goodness romance, (no Scooby Doo Mystery, no ‘suspense’ just a relatively moderate amount of ‘angst’) this could be exactly what you want.
The plot was pretty interesting if not very realistic. The reason it wasn’t rated higher is because the characters were very childish. I also feel like several relationships could have been more detailed, we didn’t get to see much of Meadows friend Ellen, Meadows doesn’t speak to her parents a single time, and the relationship between Finley and his brother feels like it’s really going to be this huge part of the story (it isn’t) more Finley and Logan could have made the book a million times better! All in all it wasn’t hard to get through.

I liked this book. The whole major "Whoops" twist to the storyline was fun but the book also had a lot of heart. Meadow and Finley's story offered up a very engaging combination of emotion, drama, and humor. I thought there was a real sweetness to this tale and I enjoyed the big hand that fate seemed to take in this couple's romance. I am electing to post an objective review.
I chose to read this book on the spur of the moment and I'm so glad I did. It was a refreshingly different storyline in that both Meadow and Finley were in their late 30's. So Meadow wants a child, Finley doesn't want any children ..... Ooops what they get is twins!!!

When Meadow wanted to get pregnant, she hired or so she thought a spermanator . Finley thought he was just getting lucky. When the sees was said and done, Meadow has sex with the wrong man. This was a cute story with funny characters and siblings trying to find common ground.
Haven’t reviewed a book in a while, this book I could not stand it. The guy had a vasectomy but when he find out he is having a kid, he’s happy ?! What about the fact that he had a vasectomy so he wouldn’t have a kid? I think it was supposed to be a bit comedic but it was just stupid in my opinion.
