When 14-year-old Ana, goes missing the police seem unconcerned about her disappearance and her family seems to be hiding something. Her best friend Izzy and her friends must deal with the side effects of a botched spell. But Ana is the only person able to help them. Will, Izzy be able to find Ana before the next full moon?
There are a great many unexplained plot moments that most young readers may not notice, but which I found repeatedly disconcerting. Like, where did the money come from to create a great party in less than a day? As a fantasy, it was amusing but unconvincing, more like a dream than a true fantasy, which has a logic it must follow in its own world. Plus the evil witches not turning up caused the climax to lack punch. Youngsters may be fine with all that, however.
Izzy is searching for her friend, and through the story we encounter wolves, witchcraft, magic, crystals and friendships. A sweet story of friendship and a great fantasy read.
