First of all, this Lifeway CSB Women’s Bible with the Marigold Leathertouch® cover is gorgeous!

Let’s begin with the outward appearance. To reiterate, it’s stunning! I love the Marigold color! The Leathertouch® cover is flexible, easy to grip, and lays flat when open. The front and back cover is free from words or designs, is neatly stitched along the edges, and the white, debossed title and branding on the spine really stands out.

Inside, the pages are sturdy, have a pleasant feel, and very little bleed through. The single-column design gives it a clean look with occasional notes in the bottom or side margins. Stimulating full-page articles from trusted Lifeway authors are scattered throughout. For example, articles titled How to Be Still—The Practice of Meditation, Love Your Neighbor, and Paul’s Final Letter, expounding on various messages and teachings in Scripture.

I find the introductions to each book, as well as the Character Profiles interesting and enriching—causing me to see people and situations in a new way.

There are 8 full-page maps in the back (and even more throughout the Old and New Testaments) that are detailed, colorful, and easy to read, documenting important journeys through Biblical times. And always a plus for me is an attached ribbon marker, and this Bible has two!

I’m new to the Christian Standard Bible (CSB) version, so this is a learning experience for me. But I have discovered some missing verses. Obviously, reading different versions will look and sound different, but the CSB has omitted text. For instance, in Matthew 18’s Parable of the Lost Sheep, CSB omits verse 11. It skips from verse 10 to 12. What is said in verse 11 isn’t combined with the surrounding verses, it simply isn’t included at all.

“See to it that you don’t despise on of these little ones, because I tell you that in heaven their angels continually view the face of my Father in heaven. (vs 11 missing) What do you think? If someone has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, won’t he leave the ninety-nine on the hillside and go and search for the stray?”

Now, to be clear, the omitted verse is included in the footnotes at the bottom of the page, stating: (Some mss include v. 11: For the Son of Man has come to save the lost.) But why isn’t that included in the text? I’m confused. Verse 11 is important. It’s the basis of the entire Bible. Jesus came to save us.

Another example of omitted verses: Mark 9:44 and 9:46 is missing from the text but included in the footnotes, stating: (Some mss include v. 44/46: Where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.) I’ve encountered several other omitted verses as well. And in some instances, words are replaced with something different. (i.e. the word EAGLE replaces ANGEL.)

Overall, I like this Bible, but the version will take a bit of getting used to. I plan to examine it further alongside my other versions for more clarity.

There are so many positive things about this new Bible for women. It is overflowing with amazing features, but I especially like that the binding allows me to lay it flat, the text is easy to read, and there is even space for journaling. There are charts galore and full-colored maps to increase my knowledge, a Table of Contents and Concordance to help me navigate, and three different reading plans to guide me in reading God's Word. I also appreciate that there are numerous devotions and articles that supplement the Bible scripture and they're written by people like me---women who love God and long to grow in their faith! My only reservation is that the words of Jesus aren't in red text.

This CSB Lifeway Women's Bible is a wonderful addition to your personal library, but it would also be a lovely gift for birthdays, Mother's Day, Christmas, and even Graduation! It's rich in beauty and content, and there's a special presentation page for gifting it to those special women in your life. This Bible is truly a gem!

CSB Lifeway Women’s Bible is a beautiful Bible. Not too long ago I was introduced to the CSB translation and have enjoyed reading this translation. The Bible flows/reads easily and is suitable for all ages in my opinion. This women’s Bible has a lot of study tools to help with your study time in the word. You can purchase the Bible here at Lifeway.

This Bible has so many amazing features such as character profiles, highlights key verses, charts, concordances, study and devotional content from Lauren Chandler, Priscilla Shirer, Angie Smith, and other Lifeway Women, Word Studies, Bible Book introductions, and reading plans, maps, charts, timelines, and a plethora of other resources.

Another feature is reading plans. There are three different-paced length plans to read through the entire text of the Bible. This can be nice to adjust to your schedule if you are looking for a reading plan. The options are a 90-Day, Yearly, and 3-Year Reading plan.

The scripture is in one column in the middle of the pages instead of two columns on each page. Some pages have notes and quotes and additional study tools throughout. The font is 9.5 font. You have plenty of margin spaces for notes.

I love it when a Bible lays flat so I can write down things or take notes without fighting to keep my place.

You have four different designs to choose from. It also comes with a hard case slip cover. I have the beautiful Marigold color Bible. You can also get it in imitation leather or cloth overboard. I love that it has two ribbons to keep my place.

The inside pages are very pleasing to the eyes in a soft muted tone throughout

Overall, this is a beautiful and well-compiled Bible. This would make someone a lovely gift. I highly recommend it!

This is a beautiful Bible! This Marigold Leather-touch edition feels like butter. So smooth and soft to the touch. And of course...yellow! How can you go wrong with my favorite color?! Yellow is a happy color, so if you want to infuse a little more joy into your Bible reading each day this is the Bible for you.

I would not consider this to be a 'study bible' as there is no cross-reference system within the pages. I love to compare scripture with scripture as I study. But it does have great introductions to each book with both big picture overview, summary, key verses, and timeline to place you fully in the context of the situation and time each book is written. And it is great for note-taking and journaling as you read with its wide columns on each page.

I think the biggest drawback is the fact that it is a bit heavy for me to take along to church or on trips. However, It will be great for my morning Bible reading and journaling. So I do recommend this beauty to you.

If you are looking for a good Bible to read, this may be the one for you, especially if you like to take notes in the margin! I do love the extra room beside the Scriptures to write your own thoughts or notes from a sermon. The font is comfortable to read and the cover is soft and supple to hold as you read. The Christian Standard Bible is also one of my favorite translations. The maps, concordance, and Bible Reading Plan are also convenient additions. Many women will also enjoy features like articles by well-known women of God, and character profiles of women mentioned in the Bible.

As a personal preference, the bright yellow (marigold) cover isn't my first choice, but it may well be the first thing that other women find to be appealing. It is like a ray of sunshine among my other books and reflects the hope we find inside the cover. I also prefer a study Bible, but this is a more comfortable Bible to carry to church or a Bible study group. Overall, I am well pleased with this Bible and will suggest it to others.

The CSB Lifeway Women’s Bible has to be one of the most beautiful bibles I’ve ever owned. I love the quality and adore that it’s filled with Bible studies, devotionals, character profiles of key women, and inspirational quotes. The Bible will assist women of any age as they study God’s Word and inspire them to laugh, grow, and worship alongside their community. It includes an in-depth collection of inspirational articles and devotional commentary from prominent voices in the Lifeway Women community. The highly reliable text of the CSB captures the original meaning of the Bible without sacrificing clarity, making it easier to engage with the scripture’s life-transforming message and share it with others. Lifeway Women's Bible is a great Bible to read. It is easy to read that gave me a better understanding of the text. Within the pages, there is inspiring commentary, A Closer Look at …, Character Profiles, graphs, ancestral trees, maps, and articles. At the end of this Bible there are reading plans, a Daily Bread schedule for the year, index, and more maps. I like that they are two separate satin ribbons that can be used to mark my spot in the Old Testament, as well as, the New Testament. I enjoyed going through this Bible and am looking forward to start the reading plans and Daily Bread schedule at the beginning of the year.
Lifeway Women's Bible is getting a very well deserved five plus stars from me. It would make a great gift for any woman.
