When my mom passes away, I take my half of the inheritance to fulfill her dream of visiting Alaska. I sell everything, secure a waitressing job, and buy a 4Runner to make the trip. My sister thinks I’m crazy. But it’s not as if I won’t know anyone in Three Rivers. Theron lives there now. I haven’t seen him since I was a little girl and he was leaving for the Army. I’m not prepared for how incredibly hot he’s gotten. Alaska doesn’t feel so lonely now with Theron watching out for me. But can I get him to see me as more than the kid from next door?
Theron
When Isla calls me with car trouble just outside of town, I don’t hesitate to come to her rescue. I used to help out her family when I was a teenager living next door. Back then, she was just a kid. But when I find her on the side of the road, there’s nothing but a voluptuous woman now. I try to keep my attraction to her tamped deep down, but it’s almost impossible when one thing after another pushes us together. It doesn’t take me long to realize that Isla is the one for me. The one I’m meant to protect, to love, and to build a life with. And I’ll do whatever it takes to prove it to her.
The six of us made a pact. We’ve survived basic together, shared duty stations, and gone to war together. But the needs of the Army have separated us multiple times. That’s why we agreed that when each of us got out, we’d each settle down in the same mountainside town of Three Rivers. It was a favorite place to get away on holiday weekends when the six of us were stationed together in Alaska, and as veterans now we can’t imagine anywhere better. A place filled with fresh mountain air, friendly people who are there when you need them but happy to keep to themselves when you don’t, and unexpected love none of us saw coming.
Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with an older mountain man and younger curvy woman. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating. Guaranteed HEA.
Great start to the new series. Theron and Isla knew each other years ago before he went off to join the Marines. Isla’s mom had a dream of visiting Alaska before she died and now Isla is taking on that adventure in her memory. From the moment the two friends see each other the chemistry is off the charts. This was a sweet fast paced read. The storyline was engaging and the characters had a deep emotional connection. Looking forward to Blaine’s story next. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is a cute, quick story. Instant love after seeing each other again since being kids. A bit of an age gap (11 years). I’m excited to read the rest of the books in the series.
WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

First impression ..... red and white polka dot bra!
Theron is the first book in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series and this one is going to be a fun and smexy series....I can just tell!!! The series is about a group of men who have served in the Army and become friends and brothers. They each promised that once they were retired or discharged from service they would move to the small town of Three Rivers, Alaska. Theron Daniels joined the Army when he was eighteen years old and twenty years later he has retired. In keeping with his promise to his other brothers he moved to Three Rivers, Alaska and was joined shortly by his best friend Blaine. He bought ten acres just on the outskirts of the town and lives in a large cabin, that he can grow into. At night he works as a bouncer at THE GREATVIEW bar which is busy during the summer with all the tourists and temporary workers. Isla Bennington is twenty-eight years old and is moving to Alaska to honor her mother who passed three months ago. Now there is just Isla and her younger sister Nova, as their mother was a single parent. Nova thinks Isla is crazy and worried about her but Isla is up for the adventure. She found Theron through social media and remembered him as being their next door neighbor who she adored and who had looked out for her and her sister. As Theron was now living in Alaska he put her in contact with some people and she found a waitress job at the best restaurant in town and also a "dry" cabin to rent. So she sold or donated everything she had, moved out of her apartment and with the little money she had inherited bought a used 4Runner and started driving from South Dakota. Everything was great until five miles out from Three Rivers when the radiator blew. So she phoned Theron who immediately came to get her and look at the SUV. One look by them both and it is full blown want, need and longing between them. But nothing can happen right??? Or will it???
This book was a great story that I loved. I really loved the characters, both Isla and Theron and also the supporting characters who we get to meet. The story-line is well crafted and the story is well written. My only issue is that the book needs another visit with a good proofreader as there are a number of errors which interrupted the flow of the story as I as reading. But other than this I loved this book and can't wait to meet the next of the Brothers in Arms in Alaska man.
This is another new series from this author, which I always look forward to! This first book is about Isla and Theron. Isla is driving up to Three Rivers, Alaska from South Dakota, to fullfill a dream of her mum’s, who recently passed away. Her younger sister Nova thinks it’s a ridiculous idea, but she was determined to complete the emotion-filled journey anyway.
Isla’s car breaks down not far from her destination, and she calls the only person she knows. Her childhood neighbour Theron has helped her find a job and a cabin to rent during her stay. They haven’t seen each other for twenty years, and when he comes to her rescue and set their eyes on each other, sparks fly!
An awful experience at her crappy cabin rental has Theron stepping in and telling her she’s going to stay with him. The chemistry between them is palpable, and they find it hard to resist each other – though Theron tries harder to stay away. Eventually, they relent, giving in to their deep connection and feelings, both thinking that her mum would have more than approved. Perhaps Isla was destined to go up to Alaska to be with Theron.
Their story is emotional, sweet and incredibly steamy! I just wish it hadn’t ended so quickly. But I’m sure they will be revisited in subsequent books in this series. I already can’t wait to read about Blaine and Charmane next! I give this book four and a half flying stars.

Isla Bennington’s mom always wanted to go to Alaska. After she passes away, Isla uses her half of the inheritance to go to Alaska. She is going to Three Rivers where Theron Daniels now lives. He was the boy next-door who helped her family. She has not seen him since she was 7 years old and he went into the Army. She is now 27.
Isla’s car has made it for seven days straight of driving. It breaks down about 5 miles from town. She calls Theron and he comes to save her and takes her to the cabin she is renting for the summer. Theron was not prepared for the beautiful woman Isla has become. The cabin Isla is renting is a dump. It does not even have running water. Unfortunately, Shorty, the guy who is renting it to her is also her new boss. She is supposed to work as a waitress at The East Fork. Shorty’s aunt owns the restaurant. When Theron brings her truck back to her fixed, he takes a look inside the cabin. He immediately moves Isla to his house.
I loved that they both feel as if Isla’s mother brought them together. It was a sweet story.
I purchased this book directly from the author. It’s bundled into one book with 5 others that make us the Brothers in Arms in Alaska Collection.
I am a sucker for a military romance, so I didn’t hesitate to grab it. Theron is Book 1 in the collection. I will use the term “book” loosely as it was only 76 pages. And it’s on me when I assumed this was a military romance because it is not. Is Theron ex-military? Yes, he is, BUT there is no “military” aspect in this book, and I suspect none of the others.
It was a cute read. The insta love was VERY insta love. The two main characters DO have a history, and there is an age gap, BUT she was EIGHT when he last saw her. There were a couple of lines that made me cringe. “I fill her with my hot ropes of cum.” The first time they have sex Theron thinks to himself, “A secret, wicked part of me hopes I’ve put a baby in her belly tonight.”
I’ll read the rest of the collection because I bought it, but I feel like the rest will be more of the same.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Theron is the first book in the ‘’brothers in arms in Alaska’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Isla’s late mothers wish was to live in Alaska. Isla decides she is going to do it for her late mother. Theron knew Isla when she was a little girl. When she moves to Alaska, he is happy to help but will love blossom between them? The chemistry between Theron and Isla is clear to see and I liked them together. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
The book opens up with, Isla on her way to, Alaska to, fulfill her mother's dream. It is the trip, of a lifetime. But, Isla has decided to extend it for, the whole summer. To make the transition smoothly, she calls, Theron.
He is the teen boy, she remembers, that lived next door, years ago. The last time, they see each other, she is seven, and he is eighteen, leaving for; the army.
So, when she gets stranded on the side of the road, only five miles from her new home. She naturally calls, Theron. Upon, arriving, and seeing the now twenty-seven-year-old woman, he is beyond tongue-tied. She is; a bombshell. He knows he’s, in trouble.
Very cute short story, and instalove that is funny too. Yet, shows the emotions of losing a parent, and the protective gene this man had even, as a young man. Always looking out for her, her younger sister, and mom.
Love or Grief? Awesome book. Theron always looked out for the Benningtons before and after he left to join the military. Back then Isla was just a little girl, now she’s a full grown beautiful woman. One he wants to get to know better. Isla in on a journey her mother was unable to make herself. What she doesn’t count on is falling for Theron and she is not sure he feels the same. The thought that Isla is only using him to cope with her grief is put into her head. Theron definitely tries to get her to understand that he will always be there for her. Will he succeed? Only time will tell. Welcome back to Three Rivers.

Theron is the beginning of a new series that I am excited to read. Brothers in Arms in Alaska series start out with Theron and Isla's story. Isla heads to Alaska to honor her mother's dream, still dealing with her passing, Isla reaches out to an old friend for help. Theron move to Alaska after getting out of the service with several of his other friends. He was happy to help Isla, but when he meet her again after twenty years she had definitely grown up.
I love Isla's courage to step out of her comfort zone, Theron is a sweet guy who protects those who means something to him. Now Norma crossed me wrong as she as tried to "help" Isla.
Looking for the more books in this series.

This is the first book to start off this series of Brothers in Arms in Alaska. It has me already loving this series. She was years younger than him when he lived next door to her family. He was a huge help for them. He left to go into the Army and now her mother has passed away without fulfilling her dream of visiting Alaska. So she takes that on. The thing is he is there where she is going now that he is out of the Army. Once he sees her she isn't the kid, he left behind. Now she is something more. Something that he wants for the rest of his life. Will these two be able to have the life they both deserve?

Trying to deal with the loss of her mother Isla decides to live one f her mother's dreams. Moving to Alaska. She has a friend that recently moved there so she reaches out to him about her wanting to move there and started making plans. Theron moved to Alaska after getting out of the military. He is happy when he hears from Isla but when he meets her again Isla isn't the young girl he once knew. Sparks fly between them even though he tries to fight the attraction. Will Theron claim Isla as his own? Will she find her happy ending in Alaska?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I loved this Alaskan mountain man romance. Theron is a retired military man settled in a small town of Alaska. Isla is a woman younger than him that he knew in his hometown. She’s coming to Alaska to fulfill a part of her mom’s bucket list and Theron will be there to make sure she’s safe. I love the chemistry between these two, the love and the steam! Their story is so good that I could read it over and over. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series and hope for updates on this couple in those books.

Theron and Isla have known each other since childhood, but have not seen each other for 20 years. Both have changed a lot during that time and Isla comes to town mourning her mother who asked Theron to watch out for her girls. They have an instant attraction for each other, but Theron is a bit older than Isla and feels it is his duty to take care of her, not fool around with her. This is a quick read with wonderfully caring characters who are determined to protect and take care of each other. A bit steamy here and there.

I really liked this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable although it does touch on grief and the loss of a parent. The characters were interesting and likable. Nova was a good sister trying to look out for her big sister but it felt like something else was going on with her too. Isla had made arrangements to move to Alaska which was a place that she had wanted to visit with her mom. Theron used to be their neighbor but left when he joined the military. When the two of them are reunited, sparks fly. Isla and Theron try to ignore it initially but it doesn’t take long for their feelings to win. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.
“I protect what’s mine.” “I know.” Her eyes sparkle with a mixture of thrill and desire. “It turns me on.”
Anyone that has lost a mother will totally understand how Isla feels. She is honoring her mother by coming to Alaska for the summer. She reconnects with Theron, the boy she knew from before who is now all man and lives in the same town. Fate throws them together but their history keeps them there. A low angst, high heat story that I read straight through. Left me wanting more of this series for sure. Everyone could use a handsome ex Army man to beat the Alaska cold. I voluntarily reviewed an author provided copy of this book.
This was cute, and sexy. The perfect mix of insta-love, possessive alpha, witty curvy heroin, and sweet romance. It was short but entertaining and enjoyable. It’s tough moving into a new place when you don’t know anyone, your mams dead since three month and the only person you know is the neighbor you've last seen when you were seven years old. This new series again is located in beautiful Alaska, and I wait for the next book.

Welcome to Three Rivers Alaska...home to a Band of Brothers. Actually only two of these military buddies have made Three Rivers their home so far. The first to get a story is Theron. Isla has decided to move to Alaska to honor her mom's memory. The last time Theron saw Isla she was still a child. When she arrives in Three Rivers, he realizes she is definitely all grown up. Are her feelings for Theron real or a result of her grief? Can't wait for the next visit to this new town.

This is an awesome way to start a series. It even gives you a glimpse into the life of a couple of characters that DEFINITELY need for their story to be told. It also leaves open some mysteries into some others as well.
I’m SO looking forward to seeing Blaine and Charmain’s story.
Any opinions expressed within this review are solely and uniquely made by me and I am happily leaving this review. I originally and voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book is bsprout.
I loved Theron, book one in the new Brothers in Arms in Alaska Book series by Kali Hart. After her mom's death, Isla escapes to Alaska, a place her mom always dreamed of visiting. Seeing her childhood neighbor Theron, she is instantly smitten. Theron cannot believe how beautiful Isla has become. He knows he shouldn't pursue her but he simply can't stay away. Despite trying to resist, Theron and Isla fall hard and fast. Will they get their HEA? Excited for Charmaine and Blaine's story. 5 stars!
Thanks mom. Isla has moved to Alaska to get closer to her mom. Even though her mom passed away she feels about him with her mom in Alaska. Sharon is someone who grew up with her and her mom. He is a older guy only by 11 years but it was still the simple fact that he helped them even when he was in the service. The attraction is there especially when she is sporting a pink polkadot bra that got caught in her sunroof. Let us not go there. Funny. Intense. No cliffhanger

It's the red and white polka dot bra that does it!
I love this! It's an instalove, childhood friends meeting 20 years later, but both Theron and Isla are great characters. Theron is a growly, possessive Alpha but he is not controlling, just shiver down your spine, gorgeously yummy! And whilst Isla is grieving we see numerous examples of her cheeky, sassy personality peeping through making her a perfect book best friend! I read this on Kindle Unlimited and look forward to reading the rest of this awesome series.
Theron just retired from the Army and makes his home in Alaska. Isla and her family were his neighbors before he joined the service. Now Isla is making a pilgrimage to Alaska in her mom's memory. Theron feels as protective as ever for Isla. It doesn't take long for both of them to realize fate has brought them together. What is nice is they communicate well and do not play games. Except sexy ones. Fun, sensual and charming this is a lovely novella.
I really liked this story! Theron and Isla knew each other 20 years ago when they were neighbors. Now after her mom dies she wants to experience the Alaska trip her mom never got to go on. Thankfully Theron is more than willing to help her out. There was definite chemistry meeting each other for the first time in 20 years. Both are very much reminded that they are adults. It’s very much an instalove story with a sexy ex military man and a courageous woman who just hasn’t found where she belongs yet. Turns out she belongs with Theron in Alaska. Definitely recommend.
The first book in the Brothers in Arms in Alaska series a sweet and steamy short story insta-love romance with an older mountain man and younger curvy woman. Isla Bennington goes to Three Rivers, Alaska after her Mother dies and stays with Theron Daniels a man she knew years ago. I enjoyed seeing this story come together. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Isla is on a mission to take the adventure that her mother had the chance to take by moving to Alaska. Theron once lived next door to Isla, her mom and sister until he joined the Marines and now he has retired there along with some other friends from the military and now little Isla is also moving so he offers to help. He did not count on her being all grown up and beautiful and soon they are falling for each other regardless of the age difference.
Isla wants to honor her mother making her dream comes true. Theron still feels the need to take care of Isla, even though she is not a little girl anymore. I liked Theron’s caring personality even when he was just a teenager. I liked how Isla tries to follow her mum’s dream of visiting Alaska. Three stars and a half. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was really good. I think the initial eyes on each met cute got me. Isla giving Theron a little show had me. I appreciate that the bra made an appearance again. Anyway, Isla is determined to live out some of her mother's dreams which is why she is in Alaska. I also think her mother was playing matchmaker. Anyway, I do think age is much of an issue because she is in her late 20's and he is like 38 or so. Them getting together was pretty hot.
