After years of online calls, late night texting, and out of sync sleep schedules, Sapnap and George finally visit Florida. Dream's aspiration to truly know himself is met with the return of missed chances, and uncertainty. Placed in the dead center of his humid, overwhelming life, he and George are bound to confront the inevitable.

“Has it rained?” George asks suddenly.

Dream’s thoughts snap away from the drifting green and cloudless sky, returning to earth once more. His lips part in silence.

George’s voice was soft when he'd uttered the words, and for a reason he cannot place, Dream finds himself glancing to the back of Sapnap’s head before responding, “Since...summer?”

Talented, brilliant, incredible, showstopping, spectacular, never been the same, totally unique, completely never been done before. I genuinely haven't had a single cohesive thought after reading this. The tension, longing, and chemistry made me feel everything and nothing at the same time.

OH GOD and don't even get me started on chapter 12 because I will start spiralling again.

WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE AN INCOMPLETE WORK OMG
I am literally sobbing at 3am in my room by myself. This book was such a great escape but the ending <\\3 it hurts sm more that it’s not finished.

But omg the way the writing improved every passing chapter since the start of the first book, halfway through the 2nd book it was just so beautiful and expressive and i just wanted to cherish every word of it.
I felt so much while reading this book depaite the plot being pretty linear and one dimensional, it was so emotional and angsty and i loved it so so much. and the characters were so incredibly likable i just wanted more of them, esp Clay’s family.

I really hope the creator never stops writing even if they do not go back to this story because omg they’re so talented!!! :(

I found the books on wattpad btw theyre removed from AO3 now (yet dream managed to find a screenshot of heatwaves from ao3 and display it at his live show ????!!!?!!! That was a moment lol)

just as good as the prequel, the angst and pining is even stronger now that they met up in person. perfect slow burn, perfect chapter length, beautiful writing. i fell in love with this love story and this book did not disappoint compared to the first. the tension, the longing, the angst, the secrecy made me feel every single emotion all at once.

finished? so sad this got discontinued and deleted. it played such a huge part in the minecraft community, the impact it had on the cc's was such a wonderful thing to watch, i knew this fic made it when heatwaves started to play when dream and george met. it still feels like a fever dream, reading heatwaves and helium is going to be included in my yearly summer tradition ♡
