BROOKLYN, that is the noun. It describes a person, place, or thing in this comedy. The person, Brooklyn Kelly has traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to come to the place, Brooklyn, New York. Brooklyn comes to the place he is named after for the first time for the thing. That thing is to bury his father who he has barely known most of his life. Brooklyn’s intention is to spend the weekend burying his father and getting to know the place he’s named after. Brooklyn’s cousin Squirrel is there to show him how to spread love the Brooklyn way, but then there is the other thing.After witnessing an assault on an important woman in the city counsel. Brooklyn, being unfamiliar with the neighborhood, makes enemies. Many people in the neighborhood believe Brooklyn has snitched on the neighborhood bully Ox, who gets arrested for the crime. So instead of spreading love Ox and others spread rumors and want to run Brooklyn straight out of Brooklyn. Which Brooklyn will prevail? The person or the place in this complicated thing. Brooklyn Kelly came to Brooklyn to bury his father. Now, there’s a gang of people wanting to bury him.
