Supermodel Nate Brooks lives for his fame and the attention it brings him. He'll do anything to protect that, even hiding his genius-level IQ and his PhD candidacy.
Not to mention hiding his long-standing attraction to a nobody like Drew.
Drew Francon has wanted Nate for years, but Nate makes it obvious that he wants nothing to do with Drew. As much as Drew would love to give Nate both discipline and affection, he's resigned to never getting a chance.
Until circumstance throws them together, and both men cave to temptation.
Then Nate will have to decide if having Drew is worth giving up everything he holds dear.
G.R. Lyons stumbled into writing as a form of trauma recovery when traditional therapy wasn't working.
Then the story ideas just kept on coming.
Pulling from a vivid imagination as well as real-life experience as a trans man, a sexual assault survivor, and a person living with mental illness, Lyons has written multiple, interconnected series set within his fictional world of the Shifting Isles.
When not writing, Lyons can be found belly dancing around the house, studying anarcho-capitalist philosophy, buried in his never-ending TBR pile, or working out at the local CrossFit gym.
I really enjoyed Nate’s story! When we encountered him last, he was a jerk, but now he is a real person with hurts and needs, and a complex past. Enter Drew, who was briefly married to Nate’s mother, and a slow burn romance begins. It takes Nate a while to quit running and realize what he really wants, but Drew is patient enough for both of them, and the HEA is so worth it!
I liked the storyline. But I mean all that time avoiding each other and never talking or asking about the past or present to make a future . but it came with a HEA so that is always a plus
I love FR Lyons characters, they are so much more than they seem. Nate is so much deeper than his model persona suggests. Drew is exactly what he needs in his life. I loved these two and definitely have to read the full series!
